Like said, a post soon. I've just realised that this has hit 200 posts, so thats made me happy. So, thank y'all for supporting me so far.
Now all you people think that there will be a human death? Well, will there be one?
And, i dont think that i will be doing that many cliffies from now on, only a few :shifty:

”Who are you?” Hermione said failing to keep her voice calm.
”Quiet, Mudblood…Stupefy,” He said, first only pointing at Hermione, but soon after, sending the other two unconscious. He realised that if Harry and Ron were wandless then they would fight the muggle way.

”Well done, I didn’t expect you to complete this task. Now I hope you have learned not to betray me, or next time, I shall kill you,” A cold voice said.
”Yes master, I will always stick with you,” a weak voice trembled.
”And, I thank you for keeping an eye on him, Bella,” the cold voice said, “You are truly faithful. I have something planned for you, and the others. I will allow you to watch me kill Harry Potter, and his friends. You may even join in if you want.” He then let out a cruel, high pitched laugh.
”Yes, my lord. I would love to join you in finishing off the famous Harry Potter. I would most enjoy it.” She said, letting out a cackle.

Harry kept his eyes closed. He knew that if he opened them then he would be killed. Hoping that his friends were thinking the same thing, he tried to concentrate on the voices. It seemed that the people had wandered off, so Harry slowly opened his eyes, at first, only letting light enter the cracks of his eyes. The room was a large room, with a wooden door in the corner, and a few empty boxes. Torches hung on the walls, which looked like a bad thing, as the whole room was wooden. Lying next to Harry was Ron, and then Hermione.
Harry tried to stand up, but his legs couldn’t hold the weight. He tried and tried, but it didn’t make a difference. He picked his arm up, which felt heavy, and tried to push himself up. Managing to stand up, he tried thinking of a way to get out. Ron let out a groan, showing that he was coming round. Harry tapped his arm and tried helping him stand up. However, Ron didn’t need any help as he sprung up quicker than Harry could pull him up. After a moment or two, Hermione began moving, and soon enough, standing up. The three looked around for a moment, and then looked at each other.
”Where are we?” Hermione whispered.
”Well, it looks dark, so, I’m guessing that we’re in a basement somewhere. Do you want to try apparating?” Ron said quietly.
”I doubt it will work. We need to think of a way to get out, or something bad will happen. This all connects to your dream Harry. Did you see where you where?” Hermione said, letting her voice take over her.
Harry looked around, then closed his eyes, and replied, “No,” slowly.
Then an idea slowly came to Harry. He dug his hand into his pocket looking for Dumbledore’s wand but it wasn’t there. He put his hand in his lower combat pockets, and pulled out a wand. Hermione and Ron looked at Harry and gasped. Not because Harry had a wand, but because a big snake was slithering into the room.

Harry turned around very quickly and took aim at the snake. But it wasn’t that simple. It leapt at him and sent him to the floor.
”Leave me alone,” Harry hissed.
”Potter, you will die with the fangs of my snake,” said a voice, apparently from the snake.

”Harry, what’s happening?” Hermione asked, running up to him.
”Stay away or she’ll eat you. He’s in there. It’s the ho-.” Harry managed to say before being slammed into the wall. Even if it was a snake, it was a vicious one. His wand flew to the side of the room and got stuck in one of the torches. Ron reacted quickly and dove into the torch, grabbing the wand before it set alight. He pulled it back and took aim. Just before he sent the curse, Harry flew backwards into Ron and Hermione. The room was on fire. The torches once hanging were lying on the floor, lighting the wooden walls.

Nagini rose up inspecting the fire, and then dived down at Harry. He stuck his arm out to the side and took hold of one of the burning torches. Without a moments delay, he threw the torch into the snakes open jaw.
It flew backwards and hit the wall, making it collapse.
”Harry, we need to get out of here, before they come,” Hermione said pointing at the still intact door.
”That’s a horcrux. We need to get it.” Harry panted, wiping away sweat from his forehead. His scar began stinging wildly, a sign of things to come.
The snake appeared dead, as Harry began walking around it. Just before he tried to open its eye it dove up and sent Harry into the air.

Whaddya think?

Now, just before the cliffhanger, Harry had been sent up in the air by Nagini.

”Harry,” Ron shouted running into the body of the snake. He kicked it a few times before the snake collapsed, with Harry on its head.
”Harry, are you ok?” Hermione said.
”Yeah, of course I’m ok; I’m only being attacked by a big snake.”
”How do you take care of the horcrux?” Ron said trying to get from under the snakes body.
”No idea, lets try summoning it, accio.” Harry said pointing at the snake. But instead of a horcrux coming out of the snake, tiny spiders launched themselves on Harry. He threw his wand to the side and dove to the floor trying to get the spiders off. Hermione ran to the wand and picked it up.
”Reducto,” Hermione squeaked aiming at Harry. It seemed that she was a clever girl so she knew what she was doing because the spiders froze and exploded into dust.
”Thanks,” Harry said catching his breath. “Can I have the wand for a second?”
”Yes, Harry. Here you go,” she said throwing the wand to him. “What are you going to do?”
”I’ll try summoning it again, but in parseltongue,” he said. “Accio, Horcrux.”
”Nope, you said it in English.” Ron said coming out of the corner. The spiders had affected him.
Focusing on the snake, Harry looked at it and tried again. “Accio horcrux.” This time, those words did not exit his mouth, but a collection of hisses followed the word accio.
The snake began glowing silver and shield shaped silver came out of its mouth, with a few silver spheres after.
”Reducto!” Harry shouted pointing at the silver objects.
They began to swell, until each thing was the size of a human head. Then they exploded, leaving a cloud of fog behind. With the explosion, Harry’s scar felt like it was on fire. He dived on the floor and began punching the corpse of the snake, trying to take his pain out.

”Master, they were coming from here.” A voice said in the distance, followed by a high pitched scream.
”You failed me, and let them kill my faithful servant. Avada Kedavra” the voice said.
Harry dived up, took hold of the wand and looked at Hermione and Ron. They were trapped, with no means of escape. All they had to defend themselves against the dark lord was one single wand.

Suddenly, a silver leopard burst through the walls. It was not a solid object, but it could protect them. It was a patronus.

All three of the turned around and looked in the direction where it came from. A solid wall, or was it? Harry reached out to touch the wall where the patronus had appeared. Unusually, his hand never touched wood, but just went through.

He looked at his friends amazed. Just before he walked through the wall Hermione pulled him back.
”Harry,” she said. “What if it’s a trap?”
Harry looked at her and bit his lip. “Patronuses are good, and I have the wand with me. There’s nothing to worry about.”

He slowly made his way through the wall. Expecting them to follow, he looked around and tried to see a sign of where they were. They didn’t come through. He heard a few voices and pulled his wand out. Soon enough, he lowered it noticing a few familiar faces.
Shacklebolt, Tonks and Lupin were running towards him, followed by Orios and Sawyer in the sky on broomsticks. They looked at Harry for a moment, and then drew their wands out, aimed at Harry.

A swoosh sounded as a vial flew past their faces, uncorked itself, and forced its contents down Harry’s throat. He began choking but a clever Lupin sent a spell to make him swallow.
”What is it?” Harry asked.
”Veritaserum, who are you?” Mad-Eye Moody said walking out from the crowd.
”Harry James Potter,” Harry said quietly.
”Are you under the influence of polyjuice potion?” Mad-Eye asked.
”No.”
”Are you under the influence of any other potion?”
”Yes.”

Lupin aimed his wand in the air, and then brought it down with power, aimed at Harry. A yellow light beamed from his wand and shot down Harry’s throat. After a few moments, it shot out in a mucky orange colour.

”Ah, now that’s better. I’m awfully sorry about that, but it’s the safety measures we have to go through. Where are Ron and Hermione?” Lupin asked walking up to Harry.
”They’re over there, in that building. I don’t know why they didn’t follow me.” He said pointing to the wall. He walked into the wall followed by the rest of the Order, and went to save them.

”Harry,” Hermione screamed. “We couldn’t get out, and the voices, they’re getting nearer.”
”Which voices?” Orios asked.
”Voldemort, he’s over here, well, we heard him.” Harry said checking the door. He still needed to regain his own wand as well as his friends’.

The members of the Order rushed out of the still standing door looking for anyone. Harry followed them with Ron and Hermione behind them.

The building was dirty, with cobwebs in the corners. Tiny mice bones were on the floor. Hoping that it was Pettigrew’s bones, Harry tripped and had to throw his hands out in front of him to break his fall, cutting his hand in the process. Getting back on his toes, he saw a door in the distance. The members of the order were far away so he couldn’t talk, or shout in case of attracting attention.
Thinking about what Orios did, Harry stuck his wand out in front of him and whispered “Expecto Patronum.” It worked as a silver stag galloped out of his wand and charged off straight forward. A moment later, a few members of the Order came back trying to see what the problem was. Lupin, Shacklebolt and a tall blonde walked up to Harry.
”What is it?” Lupin asked.
Harry merely pointed at the door and said “There.”

Lupin got the message and placed his fingers in his mouth. He blew and sent out a loud high pitched screech.

Harry looked at Lupin, trying to wonder what he was doing. It was almost like a wolf’s howl.
Lupin had his eyes fixed on the door, whilst muttering a few words.

The wall was made so only a person with a wand could walk through, so muggles didn't just walk into it. Weird, I know, but thats me :blink:
Ah, I don't think so, but we never know. Once a wolf, always a wolf. Maybe that helped.

Thanks for all your comments, they made me :). Sorry about not posting, exams are finished now so I have a week holiday. Hopefully will be posting more regularly. I'm having ideas for a HP crossover with Lost or 24. So I'll see what I do... Post next.

Soon enough, the door burst open and Fenrir Greyback emerged from the door. Lupin had called Greyback to him, with a wolf whistle. Fenrir Greyback had the wands of the trio dangling in his pocket. He also had a vial of pink liquid which looked like polyjuice potion.
”Remus, what brings you here?” Greyback snarled.
”Why is Harry’s wand in your pocket? Or a better question, why are they here?” Lupin said raising his arm at Fenrir.
”Kids, they wander off. Sometimes, they had to be punished for their relations actions. Did you know that she’s a Mudblood?” Fenrir said pointing at Hermione.

Lupin’s face turned pale as Fenrir mentioned children being punished for their relations actions. He raised his wand in the air and sent a stunner at Greyback. Greyback dodged and deflected the red beam at Shacklebolt.
”Oh no you don’t, sonny.” Shacklebolt said, sending a blue spell at Fenrir. Stuck, with no means of escape, he apparated.

Harry looked at Hermione, then Ron and finally Lupin.
”He’s got our wands, we need to get him.” Harry said.
”Harry, don’t worry. Did you try and apparate before we came?” Lupin asked.
”Yes, but it didn’t work. Why did it work for him?”
”Well, once you are more experienced at apparating, you can trick security measures. But sure enough, he will appear in a few moments.” Lupin said as a mini explosion occurred where Greyback was standing last. He reappeared and now he was trapped.
Lupin sent a spell at him, along with Shacklebolt and Harry. Greyback felt to the floor hitting his head on the wall. Remus walked up to the corpse of the Death Eater and emptied the pockets. He handed the trio their wands back, and poured out the vial of polyjuice potion on the floor.

With the noise of footsteps from the far door, Remus sent a patronus in the direction of the other members of the Order.
”It’s not safe, we should go. The others will understand the message. C’mon, before anyone else gets hurt.” Lupin said with a fearful tone, looking at the corpse of Fenrir Greyback.
They slowly walked out of the building through the fake wall in the burning room. After a short walk they were clear from any spells affecting the house.
Just before they apparated, Lupin looked at Harry.
”Well done, your dad would have been proud at the way you handled the situation today.” Harry smiled as a tear came to Lupin’s eye. With a flash, they were out of sight.

They arrived at the Hogsmeade station and made their way back to the headmaster’s office. Whilst they were walking, the second group from the trip joined them and they walked together to the castle.

The crowded office of the headmaster was noisy. Many people from the ministry were stood at the desk, or looking around trying to spot the headmaster. As they entered the room, everyone became silent. Rufus Scrimgeour looked at Harry, and then Orios.
”Where have these children been?” He asked, glaring at Professor Orios.

Professor Orios looked at him and chuckled. He slowly made his way to his desk, took a seat and poured himself a glass of pumpkin juice. After finishing it, he cleared his throat.
”Rufus, I would say that it’s nice to see you, but should I? I’m guessing that you walked into my office with no permission, and now you demand to know where myself and a few of my staff and students were? We went on a trip, which doesn’t concern you. Now can you please leave? I want to have a word with the students, privately.”
Harry looked at Professor Orios in amazement. He had just kicked the minister of magic out of his office, and he was chuckling about it.

Scrimgeour face turned a violent shade of red as he was told to leave, but he did what he was told. With a few of his friends from the ministry, they walked out of the office whilst muttering something under their breath.

The next chapter is going to include the return of one of my favourite characters, it may not be canon, but I hope you all like it, because that character rocks... Now to begin the speculation about who it is, post soon...

”Now that we’re alone, do any of you care to tell me what happened?” Professor Orios said closing the door.
”Two students disguised as death eaters were in the school. They sent us to that place and Voldemort’s snake came after us.” Harry began.
”Came after you? What happened?” Orios said, sounding concerned.
”Harry beat it, he took a silver thing out of it,” Ron said.
”Silver…Could this be true.” The headmaster muttered. He walked up to Professor Sawyer and asked him something. He came back facing Harry, with a smile on his face.
”Harry, are you sure that it was a silver object?” He asked.
”Yes, we destroyed it, what ever it was.” Harry said looking at him.
”Harry, Harry, that silver object was a horcrux. You destroyed one of Lord Voldemort’s Horcruxes. This means that there are only 3 horcruxes left, the locket, the tombstone and the Hufflepuff cup. It is late, you need to go to bed, or celebrate.
You are one step closer to defeating the dark lord. You are doing very well Harry, with help from your friends, of course. But you can’t talk about this to other people, not even the DA. Tonight we learnt that we cannot trust anyone. Now, you need to go, before anything else happens. Goodbye.” Professor Orios said opening the door with a smile on his face.

Harry, Ron and Hermione were walking out of the office when Professor Sawyer caught up with them.
”Here you go,” he said handing them three bottles. “It’s a mix of butterbeer and pepperup. It tastes nice, go on.” He added, and then walked off.

”We did it!” Ron exclaimed, whilst taking a swig of the drink.
”We did, didn’t we.” Harry said. “I didn’t think it would be like that, but it worked.”
Hermione looked at them with a smile on her face, and slowly said, “We need to get to Gryffindor tower. Come on.”

They slowly walked back to their common room, and decided to go to sleep. They had done it, or partially. They could relax for a while, but something strange was on its way. The next month was going to be fun.

End of what ever chapter this is *lost count* chapter 8.

Well, that's good that they destroyed a horcrux! Only three to go..:) Good post, hope to read more soon.

Chapter Nine - An Unexpected Visit

Snow fell gently on the neat Hogwarts grounds. White blankets covered the many fields and students were having snowball fights.

”Ouch, that’s not fair! We said no face shots,” Hermione said wiping the snow of her face. Harry and Ron looked at her and laughed, then were both hit by a snowball.
”Ron, no cheating,” Ginny said piling up another snowball to throw at Ron. Luna slowly drifted behind her leaving a trail in the snow.
”Hey Luna,” Harry managed to say, before being hit by another snow ball.
”Harry,” Luna began, “Have you heard about what’s happening tomorrow?”
”What,” Harry said stopping the snowball fight. “What’s happening tomorrow?”
”I think it’s a surprise, but I heard the teachers saying that two quidditch teams are going to be coming to play at Hogwarts.”

Smack! Never stay unguarded when Ginny’s around.

”Two teams, who do you think they’ll be, Harry? Ron asked whilst making a snow barrier. “Do you think we’ll be able to play with them after the game?”
”Maybe, it depends who they are, and when they come. Do you think this is what Hagrid meant when he said that this week was going to be fun?” Harry asked.
”I hope it’s Chudley Cannons, but it could be anyone.”

The sun began to sink into the horizon and the students decided to make their way back to Hogwarts. Harry, Ron and Hermione took a chance and walked to Hagrid’s hut to question him about the surprise.
They knocked a few times but no one answered. You could hear fang howling from the inside and signs of the fire from last year were visible. Hagrid opened the door and let them inside, checking the door before closing it.

”Harry, Ron, Hermione, how are yeh all?” He asked whilst getting the kettle ready.
”We’re all fine, but we wanted to know what the surprise was. Do you know about it?” Harry asked.
”O’ Course I do, but it wouldn’t be a surprise if I told yeh, now would it?” Hagrid chuckled.
”We know about the quidditch match,” Ron said.

Hagrid looked at them and then took four mugs out of the cabinet. He pulled a plate of cakes out and then sat down.
”I should of knew, we can’t keep a secret from you. Remember the philosopher stone, eh? Well, there’s going to be more than a quidditch match, but I can tell yeh.”
”Please Hagrid.” Hermione said.

”Here, take your tea. Drink it before it gets cold. How have your lessons been so far?” He said trying to make some conversation.

Harry, Ron and Hermione looked at each other. So something else was going to happen, but what. They slowly drank their tea, staying away from Hagrid‘s rock cakes. Fang was resting on Harry’s knee, so Harry took a cake and slowly gave it to Fang. It looked like it was hard to get into, as he began biting it viciously.

”The lessons have been ok so far, the Dark Arts is weird. We’ve never had two teachers teaching us at the same time, but we’ve learnt a lot of good things.” Hermione said.
”We learnt some really cool stuff in potions.” Ron said.

Hagrid looked interested, but then walked over to the window. He looked out, in the direction of the lake and then told the trio to leave.
”Look, one thing you visiting me, but it’s another thing visiting me at night. You’re in danger, yeh shouldn’t have come. Get into the castle before they come.”
”Who come?” Harry said looking worried, “The death eaters?”
”No, nothing like that, it’s part of your surprise, but I can’t tell yeh. C’mon, we’ll go together, just gimmie a few minutes to smarten up.”
Hagrid walked up to his bed and pulled out a large comb. He began combing his hair, and then put a big moleskin over coat on.

Whilst they were walking back to the castle, they saw some lights emerging from near the lake. Harry ran towards them, not knowing what it was. Hagrid and the rest followed.

Out of the water came a large boat, with a skeletal look. It looked old and used, and had ghostly lights on the side. It’s large sails had fallen as a number of students wearing blood red robes walked across the deck. Durmstrang had arrived.

”Hagrid! Is this what you meant?” Ron asked.
”I told yeh, it was a surprise. But yeah, it is what I mean,” Hagrid said going to greet the people arriving.
”Are they here for the quidditch match? Or what else could they do?” Ron said.
”Well, I really can’t tell you, so you’ll have to wait.” Hagrid said looking over at the ship.
A few men were walking off the deck, a few with a wooden staff. They walked to where Hagrid was and asked him something. Hagrid nodded and they slowly began walking back into the castle.

Harry, Ron and Hermione followed them into the great hall and noticed a crowd. Nearly all of the school were sat in the hall. They looked at the trio as they walked into the hall, but Harry led his friends to a bench at the Gryffindor table.

”Ladies and Gentlemen,” Headmaster Orios began, “I am very pleased that all of you could make it here, at such short notice. As the festive season begins, Hogwarts will play host to a few things. Before I begin, I would like to welcome our guests…The Durmstrang Institute!” He said, pointing at the wooden door. It burst open and the men and boys from Durmstrang walked into the hall. They looked around the room and went to sit at a free bench placed in between the Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff tables. A man dressed in a large fur coat walked up the steps to the platform where the staff table was. He was quite tall and had brown hair coming down to his blue eyes and had a small beard. He had a quick word with Orios, chuckled, and cleared his throat.

”Good Evening all, I hope you are all well. We, at the Durmstrang Institute are proud to come to Hogwarts at this time. I am Alexis Drazen, and I am the deputy head of Durmstrang. The head will be arriving soon. Some of you may know him, some of you may not but I would appreciate it if you treated him well. After all, I’m nearly 100% sure that you all have heard of him. But enough talking about me,” Alexis Drazen said, chuckling, “Your headmaster told me that there was a surprise in store for us. So, will you please fill me in?” He said looking at Orios.

”Ah, yes I think I should. I have just been informed that a few students know about this surprise,” looking at Harry, Ron and Hermione, “but that does not make the surprise bad. I am almost certain that something will take place tomorrow, a quidditch match between Chudley Cannons and Puddlemere United. I hope that you all can come as it would be a great game. I have someone to talk to you from one of those teams.” Professor Orios said waving to a familiar person. Oliver Wood.

Thanks for all the replies! I'm sorry I haven't posted since nearly a week ago, *looks down in shame* but I have a short post coming next.

”Hello students, I am Oliver Wood and I play the role of keeper for Puddlemere United. Some of you may recognise me from the old Gryffindor quidditch team.
This game will take place for two reasons. One, because quidditch’s a great game and doesn’t need a reason, but the second is special. Some of you may know that the great Albus Dumbledore enjoyed watching quidditch. You may also know that he supported Puddlemere United. For this reason, we will hold a game. Now I hope you have a great time in the match, I’ll see you tomorrow!” Wood finished and walked out of the hall.

”Chudley Cannons! They are awesome, I can’t believe it!” Ron said an hour after the meeting.
They were sat in the common rooms talking about what had happened, but something kept bugging Harry.
”What was the reason the head of Durmstrang didn’t come today?” Harry asked.
”Professor Drazen said that he was unavailable, and that he was coming tomorrow. He also said that most of us know who it is, but I’ve been trying to think, who could it be?” Hermione said.
”I dunno, maybe we should wait until tomorrow and find out,” Ron said wanting to talk about the Chudley Cannons. “Do you think we’ll be able to play with them?”
”Maybe, Ron. We have a better chance playing with Puddlemere, because we know Oliver.” Harry said.
”I bet you’re right,” Ron sighed. “Well, at least we get to see them, I can’t wait for tomorrow, I’m going to bed. Good night!”
”Good idea, Ron. We’ll probably have a busy day tomorrow, with Durmstrang around. Good night, I will go to bed.” Hermione said standing up and placing a book about the Chudley Cannons to the side. She always wanted to know what she was going to see.

As she left, Harry found himself alone in the corner of the common room. Some first years were nearby, looking at him. Standing up, he picked up the book and walked to his common room. After all, the last time he had been near a first year he had been kidnapped.

He slowly got changed and then put his two wands next to his bed when he saw something shining. He reached out and pulled it in, but it was only the locket. As he opened it, the notes came out and fell on the floor. He picked them up and read them again. This time, it somehow meant more than just a crumpled up note. Something silver was shining within the ink. Grabbing his wand, Harry muttered, “Lumos,” and looked closer at the note. There was no such silver ink, or if it was there it had faded away.
He sat back in his bed thinking about what had happened he came up with a perfect reason. He was seeing things. That would be it. It had been a tiring day so hallucinations could happen.
Trying to convince himself, he slowly fell asleep.

Love's still funny but it's on Lj now...LOL

I love how you write Ron, Ali, you don't just put up with him, like some writers do...and you don't relegate him to the background (actually I've noticed you do that with Hermione...LOL) which is cool because most people try to forget he's there...idiots.

Anyways, loving your story, and I think I beat everyone to posting.

The snow had continued falling and the sun was shining brightly. The reflected rays from the snow made the common room shine brightly.
Many people were talking about the match, trying to deciding who would win. Harry, Ron and Hermione were looking outside of the window at the quidditch pitch. The pitch was covered in thick snow but it didn’t look like there would be any attempts at clearing it up. This quidditch match would definitely be interesting.

The group made their way down to the hall for breakfast and met up with Luna. As they all had a few slices of toast the rest of the school began to arrive in the hall. A few first years were playing with the snow but everyone else was trying to talk to a group of people in the corner. Harry stood up and tried to get a better view when Ron shouted, “Harry!”
”What?” Harry said jumping.
”Look, they’re over there.” Ron said pointing out of the doors in the direction of the quidditch pitch.
”Who?” Harry said walking over to Ron.
”Look, that’s Galvin Gudgeon, he’s a seeker. And Joey Jenkins, the beater! It looks like they’re getting ready for the match now, let’s go!” Ron said.
He looked at the group sat at the table eating, and then took another look outside.
”Okay, we can wait for a while but we need to go soon if we want good seats.”
“Don’t worry Ronald, we can go now.” Hermione said standing up with Luna. “C’mon, let’s see how this game will be.”

The walk to the quidditch pitch was cold and snowy. Every now and then a snowball would fly across their path and miss them. As they reached the pitch, they noticed that there was a large tent placed outside for the quidditch players.
”Do you think they stayed over night?” Luna asked.
”Probably, why else would they need tents,” Harry said.
”Look,” Hermione said pointing at the doors of the stadium as they slowly opened.
Harry and Ron went in first, followed by Hermione and Luna. The snow was still covering the ground, but the stairs and seats were dry.
They took seats halfway from the top and sat down waiting for the match to begin. Soon after, they were joined by a few more 7th years, including Neville Longbottom and a few Hufflepuffs.
In the staff box, most of the staff were seated and ready for the game to begin until someone pointed to the commentary spot. Who was going to commentate?

The stands had been made bigger so they could hold the Durmstrang students and the Hogwarts students. A spell rather like the one in Mr Weasley’s car.
Finally the game was ready to begin as they voice of Ludo Bagman spread across the Hogwarts grounds.


I wanted to ask ya'll a question. Would the HP world work if something happened destroying magic for a certain time? BTW, this has nothing to do with anything going on later on, or maybe it has something to do with my fic :shifty:

”Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to a Special Christmas Quidditch Friendly. Today, we will have the mighty Chudley Cannons playing the great Puddlemere United.”

The crowd began cheering as the names of their teams were said, so Bagman gave them a moment.

”Now, please welcome Chudley Cannons! Here are the amazing beaters, Joey Jenkins and Albert Afafle. These players have played remarkably well this season. Next we have Raymond Restorn, Paul Raines and James Heller,” He said as orange blurs came onto the pitch. “We have two important members of the team next, the keeper and seeker. Michael Mason and Joey Jenkins!” Bagman said as the last Chudley Cannon players came out of the tunnel.
“A match could not be ready with only one team, so be prepared for Puddlemere United. We have the Chasers Joscelind Wadcock, Ian Capstick and Sam Tyler.” He said welcoming the blue robed team on the pitch. “Next we have the beaters, Dean Davids and Benjamin Holt. This seeker hasn’t played Chudley Cannons before, so please get ready for the amazing Irish international, Merwyn Moran. And now, arriving back on the Hogwarts pitch, it’s Oliver Wood!”

Everyone in the crowd cheered as Oliver flew onto the pitch in his blue robes. Even a few Slytherins did, which was surprising.

”Lets begin with the game, 3, 2, 1, and we’re off. The referee has released the balls and has thrown the quaffle out. Tyler gets the quaffle and throws it to Capstick, who loses it as a bludger flies past him.
Cannons in possession, Restorn with the quaffle, passes it to Raines, then to Heller. The Cannons are flying very well today; let’s see if they can score. Raines in possession, going for the shot but Wood saves it.
Quaffle is in Puddlemere’s possession, Capstick, Tyler, whack! That looked nasty; Joey Jenkins has just fired a bludger at Tyler’s nose. He’s bleeding; we’ll need a medic to look at that. But he doesn’t want to leave, he’s still playing. That kid’s got guts, now back to the game. The quaffle has sunk in the snow below; this will be a test for the teams. Capstick has gone in for a nose dive, but Raines uses his wand, is that allowed? He’s summoned the quaffle with his wand but the ref’ hasn’t said anything yet. Raines in possession, he takes a powerful shot, and it’s in!

Chudley Cannons get the first point; let’s see if Puddlemere can gain a point.
Wadcock is flying with the quaffle, dodges a bludger, nearly crashes into his team mate and takes a shot. The quaffle is in the air, but will it be stopped by Mason in time? Davids fires the bludger but it hits the quaffle, giving it a speed boost. I never have seen that in my past, but it’s allowed. So, Puddlemere get a point. The score is 10-10.”

Ron was no longer sat down, but stood up and trying to point at things which he believed could help the cannons. His hands were in the air when a bludger flew past them, almost skimming them.

”Sorry, Weasley!” The beater said.

”What an amazing shot, that brings the score to 50-50, this game is turning out to be great. Is that the snitch?” Ludo Bagman said looking in the distance. The roars and cheers of the crowd dissapeared as everyone tried looking for the snitch. Something gold was falling, but it didn’t look like the snitch. “What is that falling, Gudgeon has dived in for it, he catches it perfectly, but it’s not the snitch. It’s a gold watch, this cannot be possible.

Hold on a minute, what is Moran doing? He has just shot in the air, could he have seen the snitch?” A moment later, he came down with a tiny ball clutched in his hand, its wings flapping in his palm. “He has the snitch, Puddlemere have won, 200-50. That’s a great score for Hogwarts boy, Oliver Wood! He must be proud,” Bagman said.

The players slowly landed on to the ground and went in the changing room. Ron had been asking Harry if they could play with them so it was time to ask.

So thanks everyone, I'm sorry I've been slacking. I should have posted earlier, but I've been busy with coursework and 24 :lol:. I have the new game so whoo, but I also have a post coming up. I wonder who's at the end...

As Harry and Ron walked up to the changing room they noticed that Hermione and Luna were sat in the stands, whilst everyone was leaving.

“Excuse me,” Harry began, “Me and my friend were wondering, erm, can we play a bit of quidditch with you?”

One of the players turned around and looked at them. He chuckled and calmly said, “O’ Course you can. Sure thing, what’s your position?”
“Keeper and he’s a seeker,” Ron said.
“Perfect, we can get started now, and sorry ‘bout nearly getting you with the bludger earlier.”
”Oh, it’s no problem,” Ron mumbled.

The man walked into the changing rooms and came out a minute later with a few more players. They got on their broomsticks and Harry and Ron remembered that they didn’t have theirs.
”Accio Broomsticks,” Harry said pointing his wand in the direction of Gryffindor tower. He felt his wand vibrating so he knew that it was working, and after a minute, the two brooms flew through the air and arrived, positioning themselves ready to be flown. Harry let out a smile as the the quidditch player look at him in awe.
“You normally do that?” One of the men asked.
“Just a few times,” Harry said.

Now they were all in the air and a man from the ground threw the quaffle in the air. Harry went to catch it and took at the shot at the goal, where Ron was guarding. The players were watching Harry and Ron closely, as Hermione and Luna were. As Harry took a shot Ron made a terrific dive and stopped the ball. The Chudley Cannon players began applauding saying that they hadn’t seen a save like that for a while.
”Ever thought of having a career in quidditch?” He asked.
Ron smiled, and said, “Only as dreams.”
They laughed saying, “Well, you’re good enough for it. You should try out when you finish Hogwarts. Maybe one day, you’ll be playing Wood.”

Soon after, the sun had faded and a crimson shadow was in the sky.
”I think it’s time you kids should go in.” The Chudley Cannons captain said, landing on the ground, along with his fellow team mates.
They walked into the changing rooms taking the balls as Harry and Ron were slowly landing. They flew over to the stands where Hermione and Luna were sat and landed there. Ron was excited with the idea of playing for Chudley Cannons and kept telling the girls about the details.

As they were about to enter the Hogwarts castle they heard a noise in the sky. It was a low rumble flying through the clouds with two bright lights lighting the sky.

Harry pulled his wand out, and the others did the same as this noisy set of lights began descending. At the rate it was going, it was going to touch the grounds in less than thirty seconds. It was too late to try and get the headmaster, so wand aimed, they waited for the object to land. They were in for a surprise.

A man jumped of the huge motor bike. He had dark hair which was covering his eyes. He wore a large fur overcoat and a dark jumper underneath.

“Sirius?” Harry said running to the man.

“Harry,” the man said opening his arms out catching Harry in a hug. “I am so pleased to see you, I have missed you.”
“It’s…You…I mean, you’re alive?” Harry managed to say whilst hugging his godfather.
“I think so, my boy. How are you?” Sirius said looking at him with a large smile on his face.
“Great, but, I thought you die-,” Harry began.
“Harry, what if he’s like Cuthbert, you know?” Hermione said looking scared.
Harry listened to her and began thinking about what she said, Cuthbert, the first year. What if he was a death eater, disguised as Sirius. Harry covered this thought up, of course he would. He just realised that his godfather was alive, he couldn’t be a death eater.

Hermione began walking into the castle, Harry followed her. But she told him
to wait in the entrance hall as she went to do something with Ron.

Her and Ron ran as quick as they could to the headmaster’s office. When they reached it the gargoyle sprung to the side, not asking for the password. The knocked heavily on the door and waited for a response.

“Ron, Hermione, what can I do for you?” Professor Orios said.
“Professor,” Ron said, catching his breath. “Sirius Black’s alive, or someone like him is. He’s in the grounds with Harry but we don’t know what to do. Is it really him?”

The headmaster chuckled, and then calmly said, “Remus.” The door swung open and Remus Lupin walked into the room, looking quite healthy. He walked towards Orios and whispered something to him. The only words Ron and Hermione could hear was, “It’s time.”

The two men began walking out of the door, in the direction of the entrance hall. They picked up the pace and were nearly jogging when they saw Harry stood out in the grounds. Luna was stood near them with her wand in her hand, just in case anything happened. Hermione had told her to keep an eye on “Sirius” and that was exactly what she was doing.

“Sirius!” Remus said running up to one of his best friends. “I’m sorry I have to do this, but it has to be done.” Lupin raised his wand, and brought it down with force. Out burst a similar yellow blaze, and shot down Sirius’ throat. It illuminated his body for a moment, and then came out a shade of green.
“It has a million uses,” Lupin said to Harry who had experienced that spell before. “Sirius, you’re clear.”

“Yes, why, who did you think I was?” Sirius said with a look of confusion on his face.
“Didn’t you die?” Harry asked him. “We thought that you were polyjuice.”
“Oh Harry, hasn’t he told you?” Sirius said looking at the headmaster, Professor Orios.
“Tell me what?” Harry said, sharing Sirius’ look of confusion.
“How he saved me,” Sirius said.

Everyone looked at each other, including Remus Lupin. Everything had gone quiet, the silence was deafening.

“Roar.”

Harry didn't save Sirius, it was Orios, but it'll be explained more in the next post. And the "Roar," well, it's not really something bad. Just scary :mwaha:

“What was that?” Sirius said pulling his wand out.
“Oh, didn’t you see the Dragons when you tried to land?” Orios said.
“Dragons? Erm, no, I don’t think I did. I bet Rubeus likes that.” Sirius chuckled. It was obvious that the dragons had made him jump, as it had shaken everyone else outside.
“Everybody, let’s head up to my office, I’m getting rather cold,” Professor Orios said leading the way back to his office.

The walk back was a quiet one, but everyone was focused on one person, Sirius.

When they walked into the office, Sirius looked at the portrait of the previous head master, Albus Dumbledore. It was awake and smiled as it saw Sirius. Before Sirius had a chance to say anything, Dumbledore went to sleep.
The all took a seat in the office as Lupin began making some tea.

“Well, where do I begin?” Orios said warming his fingers up over the fire.
“The start would be the best,” Harry said.

Sirius looked at Harry and smiled. He really had missed him in the past year whilst acting as the headmaster of Durmstrang.

“Ok, did you know that I worked in the Ministry of Magic?” Orios said, not giving them time to answer. “Or more precisely, the Department of Mysteries?
“You worked there?” Ron said.
“Yes, I did. I was working when the attack happened. My group of workers had received some information from a man undercover with the death eaters. He was told that an ambush was going to happen in the department of mysteries. I didn’t believe him at first but then I noticed you, Harry. And your group of students running into the room of torches. I quickly got my invisibility cloak and tried to follow you, but I was stopped. A few death eaters were guarding the corridors. I had to defeat them to get to you. By the time I reached you, you were gone. I tried reaching you and saw you inspecting the veil of wonders. I was afraid that you would try to go into it, so I performed a Portinalus charm. This disabled the veil’s key features, and changed it into a portkey, but this charm tracked anyone to go into it. So when Sirius fell into it, he was transported into Bulgaria.”

“Why didn’t you tell me this?” Harry said.

“Only 3 people ever knew, and you only had contact with one. Albus Dumbledore promised not to tell you because he knew that if anything went wrong, you would go through the pain of losing your godfather twice. When Dumbledore died last year, I decided to bring Sirius to Hogwarts. He had to come with the place were he was, Durmstrang. He had taken the role of headmaster under the name, ‘Tony Almeida’ and agreed to come back. Just before the Durmstrang ship set sail the death eaters arrived and attacked the school. Sirius had to take a polyjuice potion and fight them disguised as someone else. He defeated them but missed the ship. He had to find another way to reach Hogwarts.”

“Why did you have to disguise yourself?” Hermione asked.

“The death eaters cannot know I am alive, or they will come and try to kill me. I know things that could ruin them, so you all must call me Tony in public, is that understood.” Sirius said taking a sip of tea and nearly burning himself.

“Now we all know the secret, I think we need to go to the great hall.” Lupin said.
“Why? Isn’t it late? The kids should go to bed.” Sirius said.
“The Durmstrang students are missing their headmaster, and they probably want to see him.” Lupin chuckled.

Sirius looked at his and laughed. He had his friend, life and godson back. Things could not get any better.

End Of Chapter 9, meaning chapter 10 is next. Let's just say, Something is going to happen on Christmas day.
