A generation after the defeat of the Dark Lord, the Wizarding World is starting to feel safe once again. Life goes on, children are born, and several rounds of these children have come and gone from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The professors have prepared for another calm year, but little do they know that someone within their ranks is posed to upset everything.

The year is 2037, and it has been 40 years since Voldemort fell at the hands of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. This RP will take place from the professors’ point of view, and I’d like to fill up as many roles as we want to before we start. After we’re set on who is playing who, we’ll fill the rest of the roles with names so we can all refer to the same people. References to canon characters are acceptable, although HP and co. would be almost 60 in this RP and Snape and co. would be over 80. Please provide as complete a history as possible for your characters, although the fact that this RP is for advanced players only means there is leeway for you knowing more about your character than you want to share at this time. Character secrets are great and encouraged.

Please PM me or MSN me if you are interested in joining, but a warning: all the RPers are advanced, mature members of this site who are prepared to devote time and enthusiasm to this RP. If you don’t feel you can post an adult character with good character development, post frequently daily and usually in the EST evening, or write involved posts that are grammatically correct and well-written, then please don’t sign up. We’re serious RPers and we get cranky easily. Some of us even bite.

Nicky didn't know what to make of Professor Frost. First she bumps into him in the hall nearly knocking him over. Then she turns and runs like a frightened unicorn the moment he said two words to her. He would have left things like that, but she dropped her scarf on the floor as she ran away. Nicky figured he should return it to her, and it gave him an excuse to check up on her. It took him a while to find her office and then her room when her office was empty. He stands at the door for a moment before knocking. "Professor Frost, it's Nicky Karkaroff. I have your scarf. You dropped it when you ran into me. I'd like to return it to you if that's alright." Nicky wasn't sure what the rules were concerning fellow teachers visiting and judging from the way she had acted, Nicky didn't want Bebe to feel uncomfortable having a strange man in her room.

Bebe nearly fell over as yet another male Professor showed up at her door. Gaining what little composure Bebe possessed she reopened her door and stared at the foreign Professor. ".....thanks, Professor.. what was your name?" Bebe asked, startled by her situation.

"It's Karkaroff, Nicky Karkaroff. I just wanted to make sure you were alright. It appeared like something had frightened you back there in the hall. I hope it wasn't me."

Mark returned to the Great Hall, now fully dressed but found that Wei had disapeared. His eyes fell on Warrick, and making no attempt to hide his disgust he turned and walked back out. If that was all he had for dinner company, then he'd rather go hungry. He moved into the main hall, casting about for something to do. Shrugging finally he set off towards his classroom. What else was there he could do for now?

Wei finished up her food quickly and set off back to her rooms. She deposited the books on her bed and checking that she had everything she needed she moved over to the fireplace. Floo travel was convient, even if she didn't like it particularly. Mere moments later she arrived in the sitting rooim of a rather plain and sparsely furnished house. Moving to the door, she scooped up teh letters lying on the floor and movingback, took a seat to begin reading through them.

"Oh.. huh? It's nice to meet you. Bebe Frost," she said with a little bow, her face full of confusion. Bebe stumbled on her words trying to figure out what he was talking about. Then it hit her. "Oh! Right. That was a .. um a spider. Hate spiders." Bebe looked back to other guest. "Have you met Doyle?" Bebe asked, regretting immediately refering to him by his first name.

Ana looked up from her desk at the flap of wings. The owl settled in front of her, and she tossed the creature a treat as she took the bit of parchment. It was her sister's family owl, which wasn't unusual. What WAS unusual was that the note was in her brother-in-law's handwriting. Ana read it and rose to her feet. The owl flapped in protest, but Ana ignored it and quickly exited her office. She was heading to find Enora, intent on sharing her information. Instead, she ran headlong into something tall and immovable... Mark Soloway.

Mark oomphed in surprise, taking a step back. 'In a hurry Granger?' he chuckled good naturedly, taking her arms to steady her from the impact.

Ana shook his hands from her arms and waved her slip of paper in front of him. "I have an owl. I need to see Enora immediately." She tried to dodge him, but he seemed to take up the entire passage somehow. "Excuse me, Professor Soloway. I need to get past you."

'Yes I can see that,' Mark smirked good naturedly. She was somewhat flushed, and it suited her. What harm could toying with her just for another moment or two do? He shuffled slightly to one side, but still blocked her way slightly. 'How about an escort?'

Ana stopped moving and squared her jaw, her hands in fists at her sides. She wanted to hit him and make him move, but a professor did not strike ones colleagues. "Your company is unnecessary at this time, but I see no problem in you tagging along if you so desire."

'Well,' he puffed himself out with indignation, though he grinned still. 'I can tell when my company is not apreciated.' He moved to one side, waving her past, though he took in her angry apearance. 'Did anyone ever tell you that you look really quite amazing angry.' He smirked. She was the image of a stern teacher, an image he had certain familiarity with, in the muggle world anyway. That had been an interesting haloween to say the least. His grin broadened as he remembered, forgetting her presence for a moment.

Ana turned and looked at Mark, her stern expression replaced by confusion and a bit of more anger than frustration. "I have in fact heard that before, but he had a lot more luck than you will with that obvious line. I'll thank you to retain your professionalism with me, Professor." She looked up into his distracted, smirking face and rapped him hard on the stomach. "You aren't even listening to me."

"I'm trying to reprimand you and you're staring right over my head. I know I"m small, but you could do me the favor of looking at me when I speak to you." She had places to go, but Mark Soloway made her crazy. He treated her like an object or like a child or pet. Neither of which she truly appreciated.

Aria stood up as the Professor left. She headed towards the great hall to eat and watched almost amused as Professor Granger hit Mark in the stomach. "Now Mark, no means no, give it up. You can't have everyone you know." she said smirking at him. "Good evening Professor." Aria said giving her a warm smile. "I trust you've had a good day, besides Casanova junior over here?" she said as she crossed her eyes at Mark.

Mark grinned over at Aria. 'I'm just being my usual charming self,' he replied, grinning. Looking past her he faked shock. 'No Warrick this time? I can rest easy.' It was not something he would usually have said, but he was still annoyed with the man. Besides, he' been enjoying playing with Granger. Now it seemed that was finished.

Ana looked down at her hands and finished moving around Mark. She was more than a bit embarrassed that she'd let her temper get the best of her, and that she'd been caught by Aria. Aria and Warrick? It didn't surprise her. They were more than willing to sacrifice their careers for a quick thrill, and no one was fooled by it.

"Nope no Warrick. Though I don't see why it should bother you." she told him "Why don't you like him? Competition?" she asked. "It's not like anything is going on and I don't act like I disapprove of all your 'relationships' or whatever you want to call them." she smiled at him. "Don't be jealous ok? Please. I don't like the thought of you guys fighting." she said giving him a puppy face.

'I would never be jealous Aria,' Mark smiled. 'I simply do not apreciate Warrick or his attitude.' He shrugged. 'Now is hardly the time for such discussions however,' he bowed his head towards Granger. 'I was just offering to escort Professor Granger to the headmistress' office. How about some lunch?'

Aria nodded. "Riiiiight." she said with a wink unconvinced. "I was actually on my way to meet Rick in the great hall. I havent eaten all day and did kind of want to eat something. But if you were planning on escorting Professor Granger, then by all means, don't let me stop you." she said with a playful smirk. "Good day" she said and nodded to the two of them and headed into the Great hall and went and sat beside Warrick. "Hey" she said with a smile. "Sorry it was so long. Professor Branxton needed me to help him with a specific flower for his supplies."

Warrick jumped at the sudden voice beside him. He turned, saw Aria, and smiled. "Hey there, doll-face," he said, kissing her cheek. He set his book aside and turned to her. "I'm sure you were off flirting, you do that an awful lot, you know." He brushed stray hair off her face, and smiled. He kissed her nose, "I was left up here, all lonely with no one to talk to, and you were off breaking hearts." He teased.

Nikita paced along the halls quietly, she was near her office. Her heartbeat seemed to be running faster than usual.. She had left him behind.. It was the right decision, after all. She quickened her pace until she got to her door. She had to get ready for classes after all.. Opening the door, she went inside her office, brewed some tea, and sat down on one of the couches inside.

She put an innocent face on. "Me, flirt? I was merely socializing with members of the opposite sex." she said smiling. "But at least while you were here being all lonely and all you had food, I'm starving." she said smirking. She pinched his cheeks playfully "Awww was Ricky being antisocial?"

"Yes, I remember you from the staff meeting. You teach Muggle Studies, don't you. I'm afraid it's going to take me a while to get everyone's names right." Nicky walks into Bebe's room. He notices Professor Branxton standing there. Now Nicky feels ackward. He didn't realize there was something between Bebe and Doyle. "Oh spiders, I know what you mean. Hogwarts does seem to have some large ones. Yes I have to admit I'm not too fond of them either. You should have said something. I would have gladly gotten rid of it for you." Nicky tries the best he can not to make the situation any more uncomfortable than it already is particularly for Bebe. "Yes I met Doyle in the Great Hall." Nicky shakes his hand and notices the dirty dishes. "Well I can see you'll are busy, and threes a crowd as they say. I just wanted to return your scarf to you and make sure you were alright."
