A generation after the defeat of the Dark Lord, the Wizarding World is starting to feel safe once again. Life goes on, children are born, and several rounds of these children have come and gone from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The professors have prepared for another calm year, but little do they know that someone within their ranks is posed to upset everything.

The year is 2037, and it has been 40 years since Voldemort fell at the hands of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. This RP will take place from the professors’ point of view, and I’d like to fill up as many roles as we want to before we start. After we’re set on who is playing who, we’ll fill the rest of the roles with names so we can all refer to the same people. References to canon characters are acceptable, although HP and co. would be almost 60 in this RP and Snape and co. would be over 80. Please provide as complete a history as possible for your characters, although the fact that this RP is for advanced players only means there is leeway for you knowing more about your character than you want to share at this time. Character secrets are great and encouraged.

Please PM me or MSN me if you are interested in joining, but a warning: all the RPers are advanced, mature members of this site who are prepared to devote time and enthusiasm to this RP. If you don’t feel you can post an adult character with good character development, post frequently daily and usually in the EST evening, or write involved posts that are grammatically correct and well-written, then please don’t sign up. We’re serious RPers and we get cranky easily. Some of us even bite.

She pulled back slowly, her eyes on his. 'What happened while we were apart is in the past,' she said carefully. 'Provided it can stay there.' She swallowed, not sure why she felt suddenly nervous. 'What happened?'

Nikita arrived at the Great Hall with a small smile. She was certainly glad to get away from her thoughts.. and Wei. Smiling, she noticed that Doyle and Ana were already sitting down. Being how they seemed to be immersed in their conversations, she smiled and nodded to greet them and sat down in her usual place.

He looked out at the hall and sighed. Waving his wand at the glass and vanishing it he asked, "Is that better?" Doyle could not wait to get back to his quarters for an uninterrupted drink.

Whatever she had expected, this was not it. Wei moved slightly, feeling slightly awkward. 'I thought, I mean,' she shook her head. 'I always just thought you were friends. I didn't realise that you were attracted to her.' She looked down, unsure of herself suddnely. Wei had never had any real issue with her appearance, but Aria was so young, and she was the sporty type. Wei swallowed with difficulty before looking back up, waiting for him to continue, to expain further, secretly praying that he would say they really were just friends.

"I suppose," Ana replied, but she looked over at the arriving groups of children. "If you hate being here all that much, then why do it?"

"No... you misunderstand me, Wei. I'm not attracted to her, and I had no intention of... ending up where we did. It was a mistake... a product of too much drink and my missing you so much I couldn't stand myself anymore."

Aria nodded to Nicky and watched as he disappeared with the other group. She smiled at the nervous children in front of her. "Don't worry, this will all be ok." she said soothingly. She took the badge from her shirt and tapped it. "Portus." she said. "Ok, everyone grab ahold of someone and hold on tight, we don't want to lose anyone." the badge apparated them to outside the gates of Hogwarts. "Ok come with me, I'll get the thestrals ready and they'll take us up to the school."

She got everything ready and helped the kids into the carriages and they headed to the castle. She steadied them and helped the kids out and let the houseelves carry their luggage. "Ok guys, go enjoy yourselves." she said smiling at them as they left to go find their friends.

Aria waved at Ana and went to change her clothes. When she had returned she went and sat down by Mark and grabbed a glass of water and some chicken. "Wow, its been hectic." she said smiling at him.

Warrick had (finally) finished setting up the Great Hall as everyone came back in. He stood off to the side to allow the children through. The term would be starting soon enough, and he already had to deal with the students. He shook his head, appearantly all that cleaning he had done had been for nothing.

He stood in the far corner just to keep an eye on things. The student's need not know about him yet. He was not one they'd likely see on a daily basis, unless, of course, they were trouble makers.

He watched Aria for a minute or two, but when he had decided to go over and talk to her, he noticed she sat next to Mark. He scowled shortly, then let the expression melt off his face. He leaned against the wall, crossed his arms over his chest, and continued to watch for the would-be trouble makers.............and Mark.

'I guess I can understand that,' Wei smiled unsure. How much of a hipocrit was she. He'd gotten drunk and ended up in a bed with someone. It wasn't so far from what she'd done. 'Is that..' she paused her lip bitten so much she could taste blood at this point. 'Is that everything? Or is there more?' She moved through the water towards him again.

Mark shrugged, dropping his fork as Aria sat down. 'It got a bit hairy,' he nodded, smiling at her. 'The Mornit kids were up to their usual tricks I hear. Setting off fireworks in the floo,' he chuckled, glancing over the students. 'Any idea what happened to the station yet,' he asked casually, his eyes pausing over the Hufflepuff table.

Bebe brought back the last group of students and set them on their way to their own tables. Trying not to look at anyone as she walked, Bebe found a seat at the table. So as not to seem rude, she made herself look busy by counting the heads at her Hufflepuff table.

"Those are the perils of working with children of this age," Ana shrugged, although privately she agreed that the children were quite frustrating. "I just think it would be best if you didn't go and retrieve the first years while smelling of scotch."

Cole wasn't sure Wei was understanding what he had said. "No, there isn't more... but I'm not sure what happened with Aria. Whatever it was didn't mean anything, but I want you to be aware that we shared a bed."

Wei gulped, a somewhat hollow feeling suddenly in her stomach. She wanted nothing more than to run away somewhere she could be on her own to think. But she knew it was a bad idea. She'd only end up running in circles, wanting something that made her think this all over again. 'I understand what you're saying Cole. You and she spent a night together. Wether anything happened or not besides that you can't be sure. But the sleeping in the same bed, sharing a night together part is definate.'

She turned away. 'Just give me a second,' she mumbled, moving off in the water. She was fighting the images her mind was creating. They were just friends, he'd said it himself. Still she knew that something, however trivial he might think it must have happened. They'd probably touched, kissed. She shuddered, closing her eyes tightly and denying the image. SHe would not see him touching Aria. Or see her running her hands over him. But that just let another swim into her mind, the empty feeling turning swiftly to nausea and leaning forward with difficulty in the water she retched.

Upon arriving at Hogwarts, Nicky sees to getting the children safely to the Great Hall. He then quickly goes back to his room. Nicky is already feeling the effects of the moon. When he gets there, he quickly takes out pen, ink, and quill and writes a note to Bebe. Nicky has been so involved in helping to get to students to Hogwarts. He had completely forgotten to take his potion. Now it is too late. Nicky knew he couldn't stay here and risk the students and teachers safety. He remembers Uncle Severus telling him about another teacher with the same problem as him-Remus Lupin,and how he used an old shack in Hogsmeade when he transformed. Nicky knows that is the best place for him to be right now. He quickly writes a note to Bebe, ties it to Misha, his barn owls, leg, and ask her to deliver it to her. Nicky then heads out to the Whomping Willow, touches the knock on its roots with his walking stick, and goes into the tunnel.

A large brown barn owl flies through the open window of the Great Hall and lands in front of Bebe. She takes the note from the owl and starts to read it.

Dear Bebe,

I don't have time to explain, but I am going to be unable to attend the opening feast. The headmistress knows why and will understand my absence. I need you to do a favor for me. Will you come to my room and place a sealing charm on my door. It is imperative no one gain access to my room for the next few days. I would also appreciate it if you would check from time to time to make sure the charm has not been tampered with. I greatly appreciate you helping me in this way and will explain everything over a cup of coccoa when I am better.

Aria picked up his fork for him and laughed. "Yeah that sounds like the Mornit kids. They're something else. I once caught them riding on the back of the squid. Believe me, I had to take a few doubletakes on that one. I tried glaring at them but the sight was to amusing and at least the squid was getting excersize."

"I'm not completely sure what had gone on at the station but I do know that the wards had been tampered with on purpose. I don't know why someone would want to aim an attack that would affect the children." she said with a shrug. "Ana would be able to tell you more though." She followed his gaze at the hufflepuff table and saw that he was looking at Bebe. She shook her head and smiled. "What are you thinking about?" she asked him curiously as she watched him continue to stare.

Cole waded out into the water and scooped Wei up, pulling her tightly to his chest. "Don't... don't torture yourself." He knew what she was going through, having felt so ill after reading about her and James, but this was different. He might have actually...

Cole left the water and moved high up onto the dune. He laid Wei down and curled up next to her to keep her warm. "It meant nothing, which doesn't help at all. I don't remember it. I wouldn't want to remember it. I don't think I can bear to be without you anymore."

As the first years started to arrive. Nikita rose from her chair and walked towards them. She smiled as she pointed them to tables, where they could sit and have a good meal. After the children were seated, she went back to her own seat.

Bebe read over the note, after getting over the intial shock of actually getting mail. Getting mail at this hour no less. To find out it was from a man.. even more shocking. She quickly pocketed it and excused herself from the table. Bebe left the Great Hall.... not to go seal the door... but to check on him. She knew the Durmstrang lot to be odd.

Bebe wasn't positive to the exact location of his room and checked the letter. It had the coordinates, and she found herself outside his door before she knew it. "Professor Karkaroff? Are you in there?" she called quietly, knocking gently with her knuckles.

"Yes, it is time I fetched them," he replied, irritably, not liking it when people told him how to do his job. "I just needed to ensure I had your seal approval on my odor, or lack thereof."

With that, he got up and left the table, walked out of the great hall, and into the entrance hall where he was greeted with the usual mass of frightened, young, children.

Bebe knocks on the door but no one is there to answer it. In his haste to leave Nicky forgot to place a locking charm on the door. She knocks so hard it cause the door to open.

'I'm so sorry,' Wei managed through her shakes. She settled in his arms, clinging against the warmth of his chest. 'It wasn't you.' She shook her head, her eyes closed to hold the tears building. 'I just remembered..' She wouldn't say it. Thinking as she had was bringing another wave of nausea and turning desperately from him she moved as far as she could before she retched again. She sat back into the sand, her head held on her knee. 'Bring me home,' she begged quietly. 'Please.' She couldn't stop them anymore. The tears came, and somewhere in all she was feeling she knew what he would think, but not able to voice her thoughts. Right now it felt too close, too real.

'I wanted it to be you so much. Not him.'
