About this role-play:
This role-play will be Daniel Turner's home where any events related to him and his family will be role-played here. Such as parties and other family events. Daniel is a 29 year old male who after having had a travelling job in many parts of the UK has settled for an office job in a muggle firm, but he now plans to get into the Ministry so that he can stick with the Wizarding world rather than alternate between the muggle world and the Wizarding world. He prefers the Wizarding world but due to some muggle family members he is having to work in the muggle world.

First Scene:
Daniel Turner lives here with his parents David and Jenny and now that he has met Leelee his girlfriend he wants his parents to meet her soon, she too has expressed an interest in wanting to meet his parents and he hopes to fulfill both their wishes at a very small Christmas party.

Edward sipped his whiskey as Gabby joked about his sister in her state of ineibration... He chuckled and smiled. The two women started being a bit candid with one another for a few days now and he hoped that they'd start getting alongg much better... " daniel, you should have seen our Dear sweet Leelee all out of sorts.... It was quite a show to see..." he laughed. then he scooted closer to Gabriela and took her hand in his . " ?But yeah, it's a bit surreal knowing we've got a little one on the way. I never imagined how happy and excited I would be to be starting a family.... I honestly never tought I'd ever settle down, but Gabby put me under her spell..." he said as he smiled at her and then gave her a quick kiss.

"I need to talk to you Lee when you have a moment...." Eddie said. Something was wrong with the contracters at the new house , but he needed to talk t his sister before discussing anything with Gabby. In her condition she didn't need the added stress.

Gabby smiled sipping her water, "It's amazing. I can't believe it's real to be honest." she smiled and without thinking placed her hand on her flat stomach. "I can't even picture myself with a belly." she giggled.

Leelee glared at Edward with his comments, really he had to go there. She would not tolerate this for long. She took a drink of her fire whiskey and frowned towards Gabby and her jokes. "Fine we can go into the kitchen I will check on dinner while we are out there." She knew his mom did most of the cooking and she was going to force him to start learning. She was not anyone's mother and did not know if she ever cared to be, but she would not tolerate being one to a grown man. She got up and smiled at Daniel, "We will be right back."

Text Cut: Leelee and Gabby

Daniel smiled "No worries Edward, its actually quite nice to do this" he smiled some more.. at least that way Leelee had come over straight after her trip, only he knew how much he had wanted to see her after the last time she had left here, the way she had left only had him even more eager to her again.

Daniel nodded "No worries Gabriela, that's good.. you just have to concentrate on looking after yourself and look forward to the wedding and the happiest years of your life. A new husband and a baby.. you won't be able to stop smiling" he smiled as he could imagine how happy she would be, she was really happy just with her engagment to Edward. So her getting married and becoming a mommy would have her even more happy more than she could have ever known. He was now confused at Gabriela's comment about the firewhiskey, Dan was now curious, had something happened when she had been drinking. She had been fine with the firewhiskies she had the last time she was here, so he wondered what she had meant.

He then turned to Leelee as she explained Edward's stomach comment, so she had more injuries in places he couldn't see. But she said not to worry so he wouldn't he was just glad that she was back even if she did have those gashes, he just put his arm around her grateful that it wasn't any worse than it seemed right this minute "I can see that you are fine, so I am not worried" he smiled as he stood there. He was now able to understand how Edward could feel so happy with Gabriela, cause he was kind of starting to feel the same now.

But he didn't have to wonder for much longer for Edward answered his thoughts. He looked at Leelee "Really? a show you say. I didn't know you drank that much, I mean you seemed fine last time you were here drinking maybe you hadn't drunk as much as you did at home" he grinned a little, wondering what an intoxicated Leelee must have gotten upto. But his thoughts were broken as he listened to Edward "Yeah you both do seem very happy, I guess you never know just how happy you would be until it happens to you. I guess I might be the same when ... it happens to me" he smiled as he looked at them as Edward kissed Gabriela.. he looked at Leelee, well he was happy right now so he didn't know how he would be if they decided to start a family of their own. For now he was happy where he was being with Leelee, if she wanted more then he would more than happily give it to her.. if not they would just carry on as they were. He then wondered why Edward wanted to talk with Leelee but didn't ask just in case it was a personal family matter in which he had no say at all.

Daniel smiled as he listened to Gabriela chuckling "Well it IS real AND you won't have to picture it for long enough.. because soon you won't have to picture it, since you will be showing." he smiled some more as he listened to Leelee.. and watched her take a drink of her firewhiskey and instantly Edward and Gabriela's comments came to mind. Suddenly he realised what she was saying "Erm.. Leelee I have already taken care of that.. so you won't have to" he smiled. He had just taken it out when he went to get the drinks just in case they were hungry, he didn't know that there would be a discussion going on.. maybe he could pop it back in just to keep it warm until they were all ready to eat? "Ok no worries" he said as he watched her get up even before he had a chance to ask them.

Edward smiled at his fiancee and how cute she was... " You'll be gorgeous, Gabby.... " he said as he gave her a kiss on the cheek. " Please excuse me , Love.... I need to speak with my sister for a moment.."

He nodded to Leelee and followed her into the kitchen. When the door had closed behind him he started to speak. " Lee, I got a problem with the builders... They're saying that we can't get the permits needed to build the house... We're gonna need to stay with at home until we get things figured out. " he said matter of factly... " I don't mean to inconvience you this way , but that's what we're looking at right now.... Gabriela doesn't know yet... I mean she knows there's a problem... Just not what the problem is exactly... "

Leelee glared at her brother, "I knew this was going to happen. That's why I made sure all the wedding details went to our house. So you can do everything there. I have already been looking for a new place. As long as I can still do the business out of our home I will move out. Does that sound fine." She didn't want to be under the same roof much longer she was hearing to much."

Gabby smiled at both Daniel and Edward and watching the siblings leave. She turned to Daniel. 'Well how are you? Do you mind if I ask you and honest question?" She leaned like she was going to whisper hoping to anything holy Leelee was preoccupied and wouldn't hear. "What do you really see in her?"

Text Cut: Leelee and Gabriela

Daniel watched as Edward and Leelee left to go have their talk taking a sip of his drink as Gabriela turned to him "I am great thanks for asking. Yeah sure you can" he smiled at her. She was now going to be his girlfriend's sister-in-law, so they would be seeing each other more often and getting to know each other. He listened as she asked her question "What do you mean? She is a great woman who in her own way makes me happy no matter how she is, there is something about her that makes me smile the moment she walks into the room. Edward makes you happy and Leelee does the same for me and I sure do love her... alot!" even more since that night that she had come over he thought as he answered her question not really sure what Gabriela wanted to know, he was sure she didn't want to know how she made him feel everytime they kissed or touched.

He knew she was looking for something else, all he knew was he felt a sense of happiness with her that he wanted to continue. Did Gabriela have a problem with him being with Leelee? Was she that bad? Sure her job was not an ideal one and yeah she had a way of speaking her mind, but that was what made her .. her.. even if she did lose her cool sometimes and maybe not treated him well but the moment there was a smile on her lips or a sparkle in her eye he forgot all of that and lived in the moment, enjoyed that smile, that sparkle. Cause there was kind of two sides to her, one where she was his Leelee and the other when she was that strong Leelee who went about doing her job that perhaps others may not have liked. But in truth both those sides were Leelee, the woman that loved him AND the woman that was a tracker. He didn't choose sides cause he loved both sides just as much even if it was tough to see her like she was today, injured.

Gabby couldn't help but sit back and roll her eyes a bit. "I just don't get it. That woman doesn't have a nice bone in her body. She is the most heartless person I have ever met. I just don't understand how someone as nice as you can put up with her." Gabby looked towards the kitchen her head wasn't in her lap yet so maybe whatever Edward needed to say to her was distracting her.

Daniel smiled a little as Gabriela sat back and rolled her eyes, she really did want to know what it was about Leelee that had him captured. He shook his head as he listened "She is a nice person who is not heartless, she.. just has a hard time showing it. She has a heart.. she does.. we just don't get to see it as often as we would like. You will see that despite all this being a big shock for her she will be or already may be trying to accept that this is real. Edward IS getting married and he IS going to be a father. It's just alot to take in and think about, what with the business and everything." he thought about what he had just said, he looked at Gabriela "Just give her time I am sure you will soon see what I see, some who does not show emotions easily CAN be nice and show that she cares. She just needs to open up a little, she doesn't trust easily cause of her job and that .. can make her seem the way she is. " he nodded.. he hoped what he had said made sense, cause even though he didn't know too much, he could see this much. He had seen her care, he had seen her being nice so he knew that they were inside Leelee but didn't come to the surface often. He had even seen the love she felt for him, so she WAS capable of caring, loving and being nice, just not being able showing it as easily as he might like but that was Leelee. He had accepted her as she was even with her job, he just hoped that his family and others could do the same.

" Are you sure that you want to move out, Lee.... I mean I think thats a bit drastic.... " Eddie asked her. He was completely blown away by her offer. This wasnot like his sister in the least.

Gabby laughed and drank her water. Wow was this guy totally blind by her heartlessness. "Okay if you say so, but I still think your nuts." She looked towards the kitchen and sighed not knowing when they would be back, "So Daniel what do you do for a living?"

Leelee had been distracted by Edward, but heard what Daniel was saying. She clenched her teeth trying to hold away a small smile. That was nice of him she thought, but Gabby should not be so annoying asking those type of questions. She looked back at her brother. "I am tired of hearing things in that house. I think it best if I move on. Once I get a place then I might see if Minerva wants to stay with me at times, but it's up to her. Let's just get through the wedding at the house and then go from there."

Somehow Daniel knew that she wouldn't believe him but he had tried anyway. He thought about what she said and chuckled, was he nuts? "I don't think I am nuts, but everyone will have their own opinion about her." even his own parents might, but one step at a time. He looked at Gabriela "Oh I work in this muggle firm to try and fool the muggle members of my family. I had to do that or be bombarded with questions about my job, working with a known company is easier to explain." either that or they get interested in an unknown company and you running out of answers for their questions. "But I want to move away from the muggle community now, so I will be on the lookout for jobs soon enough" he wasn't sure when he would start that, but it was something that he wanted to do.

" That sounds like a reasonable agreement... Thanks, Lee.... I really do appreciate the effort you've been making with Gabby. She's just a very sensative woman..... Sorry about all the noise..." Edward chuckled as he thought of everything she must have heard coming from his bedroom.... " We'll try to keep it down... no promises though. " he said with a wicked smile. " Come on... We best get back to those two... "

Leelee pierced her lips and nodded "Yes let's join them." She turned and walked back into the living room. "Daniel do you think it is time to eat dinner? Why don't we all move into the dining room." She gave a small smile trying to look as calm as possible. In side she was falling part a bit. Moving was a big change. She was moving out of the only place she felt safe and really wanted. She breathed deep and moved towards Daniel taking a drink of her fire whiskey.

Gabby smiled at Daniel just as Edward and Leelee came back in the room. She check to make sure her head wasnt' going to be removed from Leelee over hearing. Once she thought she was safe she smiled, "What were you two talking about?"

Text Cut: Leelee and Gabriela

Daniel looked round as he heard Leelee talk to him as she entered the room, seeing her brought an involuntary smile to his face. He heard Gabriela ask a question to which he knew she wouldn't be given a definite answer cause he was here. He nodded to Leelee's question "Yes I think it is time that we move into the dining room" he smiled a little more seeing her smile, she seemed to be doing well. He then saw her drink some firewhiskey, that could also explain why she was doing ok. He looked at her as she moved towards him "You ok? Keep that up and you will need a refill before dinner" he whispered to her as he chuckled a little and put an arm around her not wanting to show too much affection with company, he would once they were alone but not now.. he thought as they made their way to the dining room.

Edward smiled as he walked back into the livingroom and saw his love. " I could use a refresher too, Daniel. I did bring a few larger bottles of whiskey with me if you show me where your ice is.... " he said to his sister's boyfriend.
" Gabby, Would you like another glass of water while i'm pouring myself a drink?" he said as he kissed her cheek. Then he saw Daniel putting his arm around Leelee... He still didn't understand how those two were together but then again opposites doattract and he musyt be one strong man to put up with her attitude...

Daniel looked at Edward as he spoke to him. Daniel nodded "Sure.. I will be back in just a sec" he said to Leelee "Its just this way Edward" he said leading him through the kitchen, and though the adjoining door. To a room that looked like a mini garage, he lead Edward to a large horizontal icebox "You can put the drinks in here, should be big enough for the whiskey bottles " he said to him motioning towards the icebox. "Where have you kept the drinks I will help you bring them in " he asked Edward.. he wondered how many he had brought.. hence the reason he asked if Edward wanted help in bringing them in. But at the same time he was wanting to get back to Leelee, but if Edward needed help then he would do that before he went back.

Leelee watched as the men left the room. She looked at Gabby. Really, what was she going to say to her. I know what you say behind my back Barbie stop it she thought and a grin crossed her lips. "Shall we head to the dinning room? The guys can meet us there. How are you feeling?" She got up and headed into the dining area.

Gabby looked at Leelee and tried to smile, "Yes we could head there if it is time. I'm feeling well thank you for asking." she couldn't help the shock in her voice, Leelee was actually asking how she was doing. What was her motive for this Gabby wondered.

Edward followed Daniel to the ice box and patted him on the shoulder... " Naw, I can get them... Thanks." he said with a smile. " So, Daniel..... Just what exactly are your intentions with my sister? I mean I can see how much you care for her, butI'm a bit skeptical if you truly are prepared to take the plunge with her... Granted I know my sister better than anyone, but she can be a handful.. are you sure you're up to dealing with her on a more permenent basis? " he asked. He liked Daniel to a point but his sister's happiness trumped his views on her botfriend... If Leelee got hurt Daniel would be in a world of pain when he got through with him.

Daniel smiled as Edward said that he would get them, ok at least Daniel had offered. He was about to get back to Leelee when Edward started talking to him he looked at Edward as he spoke to him. Intentions? Take the plunge? Permenent basis? "You mean going down the same road as you and asking her to marry me? If that's what you mean, then yeah I am prepared to do that. BUT only when the time is right, when she and I are ready. I think we may need to talk through things before we take that road, if she is ready then yeah you can expect me to ask her that question" he told him. He loved Leelee he had been thinking a little more about him and Leelee getting married ever since Edward had prosposed to Gabriela, but he hadn't had a chance to discuss things with his parents and Leelee. Maybe they could discuss things after the wedding and their trip. He wondered why Edward was questioning him on how he felt about Leelee, did he think that he would leave her at any given moment? Sure she could be a handful as he said but somehow he still loved her, he only hoped that nothing would happen that would ruin how happy he was with her.

Edward gave Daniel a friendly smile. He could sense his sisters boyfriend was taken surprise by his questioning... He decided instead of making the poor guy squirm that he set his mind at ease... " Dan, the only reason I asked is because I know how difficult my sister is.... I must tell you that it had never been her intention to settle down, but I have noticed a similar change in her as there has been in myself since I met Gabriela. I just want to see my sister happy and to be honest with you... I think there'd be no one better suited to take her on as a wife than you..." Eddie said as he patted Daniel on the shoulder... " No mone has ever hade the patience needed to deal with her moods." Then he poured out a few glasses of the firewhiskey he had brought along and a glass of iced tea for Gabby. He heldtwo glasses of the whiskey to Daniel and grabbed his glass and Gabriela's iced tea and started back to the diningroom where the women were and sat down as he placed his fiancees glass in front of her....
" Hello, Beautiful..." he said as he kissed her cheek. " Hope you didnt miss me too much.

Gabby smiled 'Of course I missed you. I always miss you." She kissed his cheek happy to not be alone with Leelee anymore. It was so uncomfortable to be around the witch.

Leelee sat patiently waiting for the guys to return it was an awkard silence between the ladies and she sighed with relief when they came back into the room.

Daniel listened as Edward explained himself and his questioning. So she had changed!? He had felt that she had but he hadn't been sure, but if Edward her brother who had known her for years was saying so the she must have changed even if it was a little. He smiled "Yeah marriage hadn't crossed my mind in all these months we have been together, but after you proposed to Gabby I won't lie it has been on my mins. But I could feel that she was not up for settling down, and I too want her to be happy." even if it wasnt with him, but he couldn't bear thinking about that. He then looked at Edward in surprise "You really think that? Wow thanks man! I am glad that you think so, so I guess I have your approval" he chuckled, now it was a job to get the most important person's approval, but he knew it would be a while yet before that happened, but he was willing to wait. He then took the two glasses that Edward passed to him as they made their way back to the women, he walked to Leelee and gave her one of the glasses "Didnt miss me too much did you?" he asked quietly as he half-joked with her. He was still going over what Edward had said, that in Edward's mind, Daniel was best for his sister. He looked at Edward as he asked him a question "If you think it's right, then I guess it is. You know her more than anyone so your opinion has quite a heavy value to it. " he replied trying not to give away anything, he didn't know how Leelee felt about all of this since it hadn't come up. But if Edward thought they were right together then they must be... right?

Daniel couldn't help but smile, Edward was happy that he was with Leelee. He raised his glass in response taking a sip to seal the deal "Thanks Edward, for what you said in there. " so it was done then.. when it was the right time and he was sure that everyone agreed with it, he would ask Leelee to spend the rest of her life with him. Before he went picking out rings his parents needed to know of his intentions, and if they wanted to meet her then they could.
