Sometime in 1346. The Swiss School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was founded in Switzerland.
January 1852. Switzerland. It was around the time when the wizarding community in Switzerland started to finally accept the muggleborns and give them the same status as those with centuries of wizarding history.
March 1855. The Winchester family started a new school of magic somewhere in the heart of Switzerland. A school for those witches and wizards who came from old and prestigious wizarding families. Aka Purebloods.
September 1986. The school changed from being a private school exclusively for purebloods to a private school of magic for the rich. As long as there was a lot of money involved, they didn't care about the bloodline.
January 2090. The Swiss School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was attacked by a large rebellion and completely destroyed. The Swiss ministry is currently trying to track those involved down. The ministry decided to move all the students from the Swiss School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to the Winchester Academy of Magic for the next term.
September 2090. The new term begins.
How do these two completely different group of students manage to live under the same roof?

A Note: I don't suppose I need to tell you that the students already from The Winchester Academy would pretty much be snobs and brats. Not all of them of course, but all from very VERY wealthy families.

School: Former Swiss School of Witchcraft and Wizardry attendee
Year: Sixth
Personality: Matt will enter into a conversation with just about anyone who seems friendly, but he's quick to avoid those with judgmental looks. He likes those who are upfront about themselves and what they're feeling, and tends to gravitate towards the joker in a group. When he's having a serious moment he'd prefer to not be disturbed, unless those joining him are feeling pretty serious too.
Background: Matt grew up in Alberta, Canada on a horse ranch. His father and mother met at a World Horse Fair, but sadly divorced when he was young. His father continued to train horses in Alberta, and his mother moved back to Austria and remarried. Matt didn't find out that his mother was a witch until some strange happenings occurred around his eighth birthday. His father, receiving a letter from his ex-wife that Matt needed to attend a wizarding school, wanted to send him to one in North America, but his mother intervened. Matt moved to Austria for the summer before beginning at the Swiss School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. When Matt was fourteen his father passed away, and he was required to move to Austria permanently and live with his mother, stepfather, and younger step-sister, where the casual roping of broncs was replaced with the pristine leather of dressage.
Thoughts about the Wincester Academy of Magic: Honestly doesn't know what to expect. His mother wanted to enroll him under her maiden name, as she is from a pureblood family, but Matt saw it as a snub to his late father and declined.
Full Name: Vasilissa Victrola Von Lichtenstein
Nicknames/Aliases: Liss, L, Lissa
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Bloodline: Half-blood
School: The Winchester Academy Of Magic
Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Dark Gray
Height: 5’6’’
General Appearance: Liss is tall and on the skinny side. She has smooth, creamy, soft skin with no freakles. She applies a little make-up, but not too much since she believes she doesn't need it. ALWAYS wears fashionable clothes, especially dresses and skirts which flaunt her legs.
Picture:
Personality: Vasilissa, or Liss, as she prefers to be called is bratty, bossy and possessive. She takes pride in her noble lineage and has no scruples when it comes to bringing people down, especially in public; she loves being the center of attention. Used to getting her way, she can be very stubborn when she doesn’t get it. Despite all that, Vasilissa is actually very loyal to those close to her and would go to amazing lengths to protect them.
History: Vasilissa was born on the 7th of April 2074 in a Hospital in Zurich. Being the first and only child, Liss was pampered a little too much by her parents. When she was around five, her mother passed away during childbirth. Her little brother was born dead. Her father, devastated, went through a dark period when he barely saw his daughter. Liss was left in the care of the maids. She grew up, rarely seeing her father who spent most of his time out on business. When she was fifteen, her father re-married. Liss and her step-mother do not get along, mainly because Liss does not trust her. She loves her father, but does not get to see enough of him. She has a small crush on her step-brother.
Family:
Father: Emmanuel Von Lichtenstein, who is part British, part German and part Swiss, is the descendant of an English noblewoman and German nobleman during Queen Victoria’s reign. A large portion of his fortune was passed down through generations. Does not love his new wife – he’s married just for the heck of it.
Mother: Nicolette Eleonora Leijonhufvud-Lichtenstein, was part French and part Swedish, who also happens to have a little Swedish nobility in her blood. She died while she was giving birth to Lissa’s younger brother.
Brother: Born dead when Liss was five.
Step-Mother: Elizabeth Fiorelli-Lichtenstein. Liss’ stepmother, part Italian and part British. She doesn’t get along with Liss.
Step-brother: Aiden Fiorelli. Liss has a little crush on him.
Pets: None. Liss hates animals.
[Basic Information]
Full Name: Rhea Lauren Steele
Aliases/Nicknames: Just Rhea, thanks.
Age: 16
Date of Birth: 3rd September
Gender: Female
Bloodline: Muggle-born
School: The Swiss School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
[Appearance]
Hair: She has light, ebony brown coloured hair which falls just below her shoulders. And they are cuuuuuuurly! Very curly. Too curly, in fact. She straightens them sometimes, but sometimes just leaves them as they are.
Eyes: Hazel. Sometimes they look brown, sometimes they look green.
Height: 5’6’’ Just a little over, maybe.
Build: Small.
General Appearance: Although she doesn't explicitly follow the fashion trends, she likes to keep up with them. She wears clothes that are fashionable yet comfortable. Usually bright colours, but she doesn't mind the dark ones either. No make-up. Her hair is either straightened, or left as it is .... cuurly. When the curly comes out, she wears it up in a pony-tail or clips it away from her face.
[Picture]
[In-depth]
Personality: No one could never really tell what was going on in this brunette’s head because one moment she’d be chattering along happily about something absolutely random which would make sense to almost nobody in hearing distance and the next she’d be a silent, grave girl who would rather listen than talk. Perhaps that was why Rhea never really fit in anywhere. In the beginning, people used to be surprised about her rather random personality changes. After a while though, it probably lost its fascination and the crowd moved on.
Most of the time, though Rhea is rather pleased with her life. She is happy. Content. Happy to keep things just the way they are. She has friends, even if she is a little awkward and leads a boring life with only her brain and others around her to keep her entertained. Life is good. She loves the small town she lives in for no other reason than because that is the only place she has ever lived in. Sure, she travels every now and then and enjoys the city lights, but she’s always happy to be back home.
Rhea dislikes change. Whenever she sees something different, she doesn’t become interested, she becomes cautious. Anything that she is not used to, she is skeptical about and it ends up in her ‘CAUTION! BEWARE! DANGER AHEAD!’ list. She is a creature of habit. Why would she want something more? Life is good the way it is. While others walk towards ‘different’, Rhea only thinks of two words when she sees different; RUN AWAY!
Despite her weird brain issues, Rhea can be very perceptive when she wants to be, especially when she is in one of her ‘strong and silent’ moods. Playing safe, she likes to keep out of harms way and away from people who have the tendency to find themselves in difficult and … troublesome situations.
Rhea isn't a romantic. She doesn't believe in true-love and happy endings and such and she constantly tells anyone who does to get their head out of the clouds and face reality.
Likes: Rhea loves spending time with her friends, no matter where as long as they are having a good time. Alone time. Sometimes she enjoys reading books, but she isn’t that big on reading. Science, especially Biology. Like any other girl, she loves flowers. She’s BIG on chocolates. They are needed for every occasion and frankly, they are excellent pick-me-ups. Second on that list is ice cream. Reality shows. Summertime. Having a routine. Any festival. She loves watching theatre. Video games!
Dislikes: Egotistic people. Night time (she’s scared of the night). Technology (she’s technologically illiterate ... except video games). Anything dark, mysterious. CHANGE. Horror/crime fiction.
Family & History: Rhea Lauren Steele was born on the 3rd of September to Diana and Jason Steele in a hospital in Bern when her sister was three. About six years later her father, a journalist, died in a plane crash and their mother, also a journalist, re-located their family to Glarus, which was also her hometown and she has raised her two daughters on her own since.
Apart from the death of her father, Rhea has had a normal, safe, and absolutely ordinary life so far. Well, until she found out that she was a witch. At first, Rhea was horrified and scared out of her wits. A witch? HER? Impossible! For a girl who hated change, it was the BIGGEST change EVER. Still, as time flew by, Rhea managed to adapt.
Last year, Rhea when on a date with a fellow student, but it turned into a disaster and she never tried it again.

Reason: Wrong date of birth. xDD
Nicknames: Doesn’t have a particular one, but would gracefully accept any given.
Age: 17
Year: Seventh
School: Winchester Academy of Magic
Blood Status: Pureblood
Personality: Being overly attune to the spirit side of existence, Torio holds a deep understanding and respect for all presently living beings and all that had existed. Such a sensitivity has also opened his mind to begin to understand the innate and necessary balance in and surrounding all things and often puts him in a state of deep and sometimes dark contemplative thought.
When he is not delving into his silent side, Torio is a ball of life and innocent fun. He could literally be classified as a human-bundle of hope. Usually smiling and upbeat, he is a bit of the odd-one out in the Winchester Academy of Magic, with more of an interest in personal nature than blood status or wealth. Bearing a rather laid back disposition, he would rather ask who are you instead of what are you and actually get to know the person rather than turn them down at first acquaintance. Due to his calmer nature, it is hard to truly upset Torio, unless one decides to threaten his friends or any other breathing creature, both of whom he has a undying protectiveness for. That being said he is not above pulling out his wand for a quick and spontaneous duel or bringing a tarantula around to Vasilissa (within whom he is determined to conjure up a fondness for creatures).
Background: Originally born in the small traditional village of Shimogo-machi, Ouchijuku, in Japan. His father was Kyosuke Ebisu, a wealthy business man and traveller invested in overseeing the production and marketing of a variety of musical instruments for both the muggle and wizard communities. On a trip to oversee a transaction in Toronto Ontario, Canada, he met Sun Maiko at a Symphony performance. Due to their shared interest in music, they began to see one another frequently until it came time for Kyosuke to return to Japan. After struggling with a long distance relationship for two years, Kyosuke proposed to Sun and she ended up moving back to her homeland to start a life with him, giving up her life as an accomplished Auror.
Being the first child, Torio was raised with the hopes that he would take over his father’s business and continue to expand the enterprise. When Torio showed signs of being able to wield magic and similarities to his mother‘s sensitivity to the spirit side of existence, Kyosuke enrolled him in a wizarding school, moving the family to Tokyo. Unsettled by the busy and crowded conditions, Torio had a hard time adjusting from the quiet village life he was used to. When he was five, his little sister, Amaya, was born, who, to her parents surprise was a Squib. Seven years after Amaya‘s first birthday, his father passed away from a genetic heart condition.
Unable to run her husbands company on her own, and wanting to keep her children in school, Sun sold the business and took up a job as an Auror in Switzerland for wealthy families, enrolling Torio in the Winchester Academy of Magic. Stepping into third year with a group of students he didn’t and into a culture that was so drastically different from his own was, to say the least, intimidating and a challenge.
Whether it was luck or not that Sun ended up working for the Winchester family, is up for question. However it was through that work that Torio met Adrian, and through the
“friendship” with that older kid, he was able to establish a solid footing in the Winchester Academy. Although Adrian could be annoyingly arrogant at times, Torio never really developed the heart or strength to do anything but protect the Winchester boy, always hoping the soft spot of human nature would override the power of reputation.
Pets: A eighteen year old river Otter, Kiesha, who he affectionately refers to as ‘his only love’ and ‘darling’. Originally his mother’s companion, Kiesha was a young pup when Torio was born, and as soon as the baby was presented to her, she developed an instant bond with him. One for snuggling and kisses, Kiesha still runs around as if she was a pup, wandering the school to greet strangers and accept small treats, but always returning to Torio at the end of the day.
Odds & Sods:
-accomplished martial artist and violinist
-average student, he excels in a select few courses of Ancient Runes, DADA and Care of Magical Creatures
-most of spare time is spent outside either with friends or carrying out his volunteer duties for the creatures assigned to the CMC classes
-music is his personal escape and thinking space

Seriously. Don't ask. Just post the bio.
=D
Okay, I'll keep that in mind! But thanks anyway. & Um, I have question marks next to the characters' years 'cause I'm not sure how the school year system works in their schools. But I'm assuming it's like Hogwarts?
Personality: Like a good and proud member of her school, Edmée is a total and complete snob. She lives up to the stereotype of your typical Winchester Academy of Magic student and is quite proud of it. If you're not tall, slender, blonde (or at least some pretty hair colour that's not black or dark brown), filthy rich, and ridiculously popular… she will not look at you. She will not acknowledge you and she will stroll by carelessly if she happens to see a giant spider attacking you. She won't care. She doesn't care. About anything that is not herself - and, of course, her beloved kitten Snow. Mess with Snow and you're dead. But as spoiled, bratty, and snobby as Edmée is, she's actually quite a smart girl and earns top grades in all of her classes. Her family has taught her to strive for excellence, to stand out from the crowd, and to make herself a future that will make sure the fountain of gold never runs dry. So being good-looking, rich, spoiled, and smart has given Edmée an ego and a self-confidence that is almost not human. So never tell her she's wrong. Never ever EVER tell Edmée Beaumont she's wrong. Never correct her. And never try to fix what she did wrong. She'll fix it on her own without your help, thank you very much.
Family: The Beaumonts have been around since the invention of the wheel. Perhaps not literally, but they have been around for centuries. The Beaumont family history has been like an out-of-school class for Edmée, and she takes great pride in her family's history which, of course, like most influential and old families of Switzerland, was once connected to royalty during the times when kings and queens ruled the land. The Beaumonts originated in Switzerland and have stayed in Switzerland during all of their existence, only marrying to those of the same status and standards as them.
Edmée lives with her mother, father, and annoying little brother Adrian. The family is actually very close, and Mr. and Mrs. Beaumont love to spoil their kids rotten. Which explains why they've grown to be such little brats. Their summers, when all the family is together, consist of visiting some exotic location they had not been to before and wasting money away like it literally grows on trees. Edmée hates these trips. Ughhhhh, family time = lame. But she loves her parents, she really does.
They're her piggy bank.
Other: Never ever, ever, ever, EVER call Edmée by her middle name - Henriette. She absolutely hates and despises this name. Almost as much as she hates and despises Muggles, rats, muggleborns, and anyone who she considers to be below her standards - which is about 90% of the Earth's population. So unless you want to suffer a slow, painful, premature death… Stick to "Edmée."
Also, Edmée is very fond of her precious kitten Snow. Despite the fact that the animal is only about three or four inches in height, and still has the appearance of a baby cat, its age is actually that of a middle-aged cat. The reason for this is, of course, because Edmée is a bit of a brat and will disown the cat the second it stops being tiny and cute, so her parents had it charmed so that it grew at a ridiculously slow rate, so it's stayed looking like a kitten for quite a number of years now. Snow is, just like his name, purely argent white. Except on the tips of his little ears, which Edmée had dyed a bright pink colour. The cat is really quite a sight but, just like his owner, can be a real brat and is not afraid to scratch you if you don't give it what it wants.
School: The Swiss School of Witchcraft and Wizardry Year: 7th (?)
Personality: Romain is someone very easy to talk to; if you've got the world's longest rant to spill, just spill it on him. He won't be thrilled, and he won't enjoy it, and he'd much rather you wouldn't torture him with your life problems… but he'll listen. And he won't ever, ever deny lending someone a hand… or an ear. He's a great listener, which is great for his friends but terrible for him. He wishes he had the power to say "no". But he doesn't. He just can't say it; it's not in his vocabulary.
"Hey, Ro, wanna go skinny-dipping?" No, no, no, no. NO. NO! "Sure." -Sigh-
This inability to say such a simple two-letter word makes him incredibly easy to take advantage of and use. And does he mind? Of course he minds! He doesn't like it one bit! He hates when people use him! But does he stop them? No. He just can't. And it's something he's hoping to work on this semester. Especially with those Winchester Academy kids here to ruin what he considered to be a perfect school. Romain will almost always have a smile on his face, he's really a very simple guy and it doesn't take much to understand him. He's very dedicated to his studies, and he eats, lives, and breathes library books. You'll almost always catch him reading; but he doesn't read school books. No, he reads fiction instead - historical fiction. That's his favourite genre. He's a bit of a history nerd in that sense.
Family: Romain's family isn't a thousand years old or filthy rich. However, it has been around for a couple centuries, and he's not necessarily dirt-poor either. The D'Aubignes don't really have a very fascinating family history; at least not one that Romain knows about. His knowledge on his own family history goes only as far back as his great-grandparents. Though he wishes he knew more, since he does love history and that sort of thing.
He lives with his mother, father, and two siblings - Madeline, who is twelve; and Eugene, who is nine. He also has an older brother, but he lives on his own. He's 22. Romain keeps a very close relationship with each and every member of his family. His favourite part of heading back home for the summer isn't parties or summer loves or adventures or any of those things most guys his age are interested in, but rather the fact that he gets to spend time with his family. That he gets to be with his parents, teach his younger siblings new things, and then learn things in return from his older brother. Ro's definitely a very family-oriented guy, and it's probably what has taught him to care for others so easily.
Other: Romain's only pet is a rather plain and boring brown owl that delivers letters between himself and his family back and forth. Besides that, there isn't really much else about him.
It is like Hogwarts. It is pretty much the same as Hogwarts but Winchester Academy does not have houses because there are never enough kids to go by that system. And I was too lazy to think up house names for the Swiss Academy (sorry *hides* came up with that in the middle of the night >.>).
[Basic Information] Full Name:The King Adrian Theodor Winchester Age: 17 Year: 7th Date of Birth: 9th June Gender: Male Bloodline: Pureblood
School: The Winchester Academy of Magic
[Appearance] Hair: Chocolate brown and always perfect. Eyes: Gray. Height: 6'2''. Juuuust a little under, maybe. Build: Lean. General Appearance: Dark haired, with a pale complexion, Adrian Winchester prides himself on his impeccable appearance. Appearance, he claims, is everything. You will always find him dripping with designer clothes, starting from his underpants right down to his shoes. If it isn't in Adrian's wardrobe, its out of fashion.
[Picture]
[In-depth] History: The Winchesters are an old wizarding family who have been around far longer than Adrian would care to explain. It gets boring after you have listened to the story all your life and still continue to hear of it on numerous occasions when someone from this family got ... 'disappointed' (how could they ever be MAD at their adorable Adrian?). Since before he was born -yes, BEFORE he was born- Adrian has always been presented whatever he wished for in a sparkly, diamond platter. Or gold, if he so wished for it. It had taken Ilaria, Adrian's mother, seven years to get pregnant, far too long than acceptable in the Winchester family, and she never got pregnant again. For this gray-eyed boy, being the only child was like the world was his playground and he was the king. Every single person in his family adored him (except his bratty cousin Francesca. He still can't figure out why).
Having been spoilt so thoroughly, he was taught to believe that, apart from the selected few, he was above everyone else, both in wealth and intelligence. It was when he was thirteen that his family fell apart. His father, a bored former playboy, decided it would be amusing if he had an affair with a close friend of his wife and she never found out about it. Unfortunately, she DID learn of this betrayal. There was an uproar in the family, which they managed to keep quiet from the rest of the world. Although, being an old and powerful family has its perks, it also has its downsides; to keep the family name, the Winchesters decided it was best if Ilaria and Albert remained a married couple.
An unhappy married couple.
Now, Adrian's mother spends most of her time by herself or out at those boring social parties and his father at work. Not that Adrian really MINDED that they finally left the boy ALONE for five seconds, in fact, it meant even more money was showered over him by both the guilt ridden progenitors, but it did seem to hurt his heart a little to see his parents unhappy. Just a little.
Personality: Adrian Winchester is THE king of the school. The Headmaster was merely there to oversee the less important workings of the school. Proud, haughty and arrogant, Adrian sends dismissive glances at anyone who can't hold his attention for more than ten seconds. But position and money is power, and his family’s reputation in society brought his way innumerable friends and girls.
Arrogant and selfish he may be, but Adrian Winchester, although surrounded by hundreds of possible candidates for the honorable title of being his best friend, was lonely. He didn't particularly give it a thought very often, being far too busy trying to gain victory over the next girl who managed to spark his interest or actually living his life being the billionaire he was, but every now and then, when he watched those pathetic losers truly laugh together, he felt it. For a tiiiiiiny moment, the thought of just being like them seemed to whisper at his ear, but then he would just brush it away like it was an annoying fly hovering next to his ear and things would be back to normal once again.
Despite it all, Adrian is smart. He had to be. Imagine how his family reputation would tremble if they heard that the Winchesters, who owned such a prestigious school, were actually stupid. While he wasn't THE best in the class, not really wanting to put in the effort it would require, he was among the top students in his year.
Of course the boy is not always a stuck up paint in the butt. Adrian can be all sweet and charming when he wanted to be. In fact, compared to his father, the boy could almost be called ... nice.

Reason: Tweeking personality a little.
Weeee! I loooove that idea!
Sooooo...no asking you *eyes your answer to Dee's post* just post the bio, yes? Yes? Right...so here goes:
Photos!: Rawrr
Name: Joseph Miles Stauffen Goes by: Jo or simply Joseph, no calling him Josey or something like that! *glares* Birthday: July 23 Age: 16 Height: 6'1'' Blood:Half-bloodPureblood
School: Winchester Academy of Magic Year: 6th
Personality: The fact that he is of pureblood heritage - or at least up to a certain point thougt he was - and comes from an extremely wealthy family does have the tendency to make a spoilt little brat of a nice (*cough*) litte boy. So, it is so not his fault that he indeed lives up to the expectations people would have towards students from the Winchester Acadamy of Magic. So not his fault. It's just...inevitable.
Friends with almost everybody, Joseph is dah Deputy King (or at least he likes to think he is) of the Winchester Academy, with, of course, Adrian being dah King. Dundundun. Being as vain as somebody can be Joseph spends almost two hours making his hair even more perfect than it already is every morning. To get the girl's to notice the golden-ish glint of his blonde hair even more, of course. Not that he needed them to, just, you know, to not lose his womanizer-image. A man could never have enough fangirls.
After he discovered his true heritage Jo has become even more paranoid and jumpy than he used to be, completely freaked out that somebody would find out about his little lie. Oh, and one last thing, don't talk too fast or use too many intellectual words. His somewhat small brain might not be able to take it.
Family/History: The story of Joseph's parents, Marie Kelltner and August Stauffen, is the perfect fairy tale love story. Boy meets girl. Boy likes girl. Girl likes boy. Girl gets pregnant. Only the "and they lived happily ever after" part never really happened. Right before the already thoroughly planned wedding Marie Kelltner confesses to her fiancé that her parents are not - as she had been claiming all along - pureblood, and neither are they wizards. They are Muggles. Both of them.
The shock of being lied to - it was a mortal sin to lie to a Stauffen! - added to the disgust of almost marrying a Muggleborn witch, drove August away from his fiancée, taking their son, Joseph, with him. Certainly, the wedding was cancelled, and after some time people slowly started to forget about the disgrace August Stauffen had almost brought onto his family. August married Valentina Rausters who, just like him, came from a wealthy pureblood household. With her he had three more children, the twins Victoire and Didier and their youngest currently 5-year-old Paul.
Until Joseph's 14th birthday August and Valentina Stauffen managed to have everybody, including Joseph himself, believe that he was indeed Valentina's son and therefore, of course, a true pureblood Stauffen. However, on the day of Joseph's 14 birthday his true mother, Marie Kelltner, somehow managed to get a hold of him during a shopping trip in Austria. It was that day that turned Joseph's world upside down. Completely confused he returned home to immediately confront his parents about it. They, seeing no other way out of it, feel themselves forced to tell their son the true story of his heritage.
Not that any of his friends and admirers know any of this story. ^
Other: Don't even dare to go near to Joseph's pet ferret Master Jo(no, so not vain )! Should you touch him without Jo's permission...well, you don't want to know the end of that.
Sooo...I hope that's okay...d'you need an RP-sample or something?
Can't wait for this to start.
Oh, and my posting color's my default post color which is #25587E . Just incase you need that.
Here's numero uno! The other two are to come... I'll edit with them very soon xD
Full name: Alexei Channing Valois-Orléan
Nicknames: None, really. The only one he allows to call him anything other than Alexei is his sister, Kanga.
Blood: Pure
Nationality: French (mostly) and English
Place of Birth: Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Currently place of residence: Victoria, British Colombia (though he and his family do spend much time in France as well, visiting family and such)
Date of Birth: December 4
Age: 17
Year: 7
School: Winchester Academy of Magic
Family/History: Like the rest of the students at Winchester, Alexei grew up in an incredibly wealthy, noble family. The Valois- Orléan is of French royal lineage, dating back centuries, and from this still hold their noble title, respect, and immense amount of money. Along with this, Quentin Valois- Orléan has become a truly brilliant businessman. He met his wife, Amara Nevill, in Paris, France when he was 24 and they have been quite happily married since, a lot of this due to Amara’s rather submissive demeanor. The two of them had five children. Their first born was Nikolai, currently age 20. Nikolai is much like his father: serious, businesslike, sarcastic, feels that work needs to come before fun… but he has a little bit more wiggle room for humor. He has been with the same girl for about three years now; a pureblood, mannerly, gorgeous, aristocrat (go figure). A year later they gave birth to Kanga. She is VERY different from the rest of the family, being the “fun one”. She is cute and giggly, carefree, and is the least most prejudiced. Another year came and Alexei was born, another gorgeous boy. After him they thought that they were done, but they were surprised years later with twins! Evan and Annalyse are now four years old and absolutely adorable. Evan is mischievous and bold, while Annalyse is shy, innocent, and naïve.
Alexei’s overly loving mother and very serious father have raised their children with the highest of standards and to, of course, hate anyone of a lower class than they and of dirty blood. Their expectations for the five kids are high, but they would agree they are reasonable. As a result they are all well mannered, driven, and skilled (including “necessary” skills such as being multilingual and learning to dance).
The family overall gets along beautifully, though of course has their issues. Alexei loves to write and wants to pursue that as a career, but Quentin, his father, will not stand for it. “Writing is a luxury; it’s nonsense and not for a man such as yourself. You are a Valois- Orléan for Christ’s sake!”—and other such statements like it are said. Amara, though submissive to her husband, will not remain quiet for long in these spats. She likes family peace.
Personality: The side of Alexei that most see is his arrogance. Though, how could it not be excusable? He’s grown up to be proud and he knows he’s stunning and highly desirable. His confidence shines through every move he makes, he is brutally blunt, and tends to be sarcastic to the point of being caustic (though when it’s to that extent it is because he genuinely hates the person to which he is speaking). All in all, this makes him seem like the haughty jerk he has been brought up to be. Though, thankfully, this is not all that makes up his personality. Alexei is very quiet and soft spoken, though not shy in the least, and is quite the charmer. While he’s not one to flirt with every girl he sees, he does have a way of swaying them just through his natural charm. He has many friends, but is careful in which he chooses to have a sense of loyalty for. To those that he truly does care for, Alexei will listen and give advice where it is due. He is willing to do almost anything for them, is quite dependable, and once you get to know him, he does have a genuine kindness in his heart.
Alexei has a black and white personality like his father and Nikolai, but is colourful in creativity. He’s most certainly the “less is more” type and is incredibly neat and organized. Nothing bothers him more than a mess. Well… other than drama perhaps. He can’t stand drama and therefore people that are overly dramatic as well as the bombastic sort of people.
As previously mentioned, Alexei is a writer and an amazing one at that. He is on the school paper and consistently doing freelance writing, despite what his father thinks and desires. He is incredibly intelligent in all areas and makes sure to keep his grades to excellent marks. His intelligence has always been admired and bragged about by his family so it is another part of him that brings pride.
Other: He is part of the school paper and has always been a beater on the school’s Quidditch team.
Despite his arrogance he doesn’t always feel the need to be the center of attention.
Likes: WRITING, young children, learning, potions, arithmancy, ancient runes, and defense against the dark arts, reading, family, Paris.
Dislikes: Forced apologies, loud people, dramatic people, lower class, mudbloods, messes.
Appearance-->
Eyes: China blue
Hair: Dark blonde and rather straight
Complexion: Fair
Height: 6’1”
Build: Toned
Overall: Alexei Valois- Orléan is truly lovely, with his naturally fair skin, piercing china blues, oval face, and toned physique. During the Quidditch season he tans a bit more, but it tends to fade rather quickly. His skin has always been clear and his dark blonde hair always kept at a decent length and well done each morning. Often seen across his lips is a signature conceited smirk. On rare occasions you will see a genuine smile, and if you’re really lucky, one of Alexei’s crooked smiles can be seen—a smile that can melt just about any girl’s heart.
His style is always of the most recent styles, preppy, clean, and sophisticated.
Picture:
Name: Brigitte Eichelberger Age: 17 Year: 7th DOB: 1st August Gender: Female Bloodline: Half and half
School: Swiss School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
Physical Appearance: Hair: Light brown Eyes: Brown Height: 5'3" Build: Real women have curves
History:
She grew up with a single father, the magical half of her parental heritage. Her mother had abandoned them when Brigitte first displayed signs of magical prowess in her toddler years - which, incidentally was when she found out that she had married a wizard. Can't blame the mother, really, the clodpole that was her father really should have come clean about it much earlier, but her father had truly loved the poor, sod of a muggle and so Brigitte had grown up showered with love and attention.
Their family was not as well off as some of the other magical families were, but they managed to make it through the day. They lived in a modest single storey cottage out in the Black Forest of Germany, but since Brigitte was away in school most of the year, her father spent that time working diligently in Berlin.
There really is nothing special about her family, other than a grandfather on her father's side whom she spent time with every now and then, her father was all she had. She had been trying for years to get him to try and start dating again, but he is quite happy being on his own and dedicating his love to his only daughter. She grew up with a first class education in the form of classic literature, and her father was a great enthusiast of world geography and muggle technology so she was quite industrious when it came to their evening lessons.
Personality:
To be discovered. I haven't played her, so I honestly don't know!
And another character:
Name: Solange de Bronstatt Age: 16 Year: Sixth Date of Birth: 26th June Gender: Female Bloodline: Pureblood
School: The Winchester Academy of Magic
Physical Appearance: Hair: Auburn Eyes: Blue-grey Height: 5'6" Build: Slim, more on the starved side.
Family history: Both parents comes from Swiss wizarding aristocrats (wealthy and incredibly pure blooded) and they've made their fortune over the past centuries in breeding, training, trading and racing Abraxans. Their Abraxans are as thoroughbred as themselves and there is little doubt in the minds of anybody interested in even purchasing an Abraxan that the De Bronstatt ones are the best money can buy. Even then, they will only sell Abraxans to those as pure as themselves. Nobody in their family actually has the need to work for a living, considering the vastness of their underground vault and the fact that the past twenty-two generations of de Bronstatt's have been filling it to capacity with their carefully earned winnings.
Solange and Megara are identical twins, born four years after their brother Kristoff de Bronstatt who had NOT attended Winchester as it was their family tradition for the heirs to be sent to a highly exclusive institution on an unplottable island of the coast of Norway.
Personality: Who needs it when you have that much money?

Photos!: Finny
Name: Finland Angola Smith
Age: 15
Birthday: March 2nd
School: The Swiss School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
Year: Fifth
Personality: Finland is, for the most part, highly energetic. She tries really hard to get along with everyone. Unfortunately, her brain’s wavelength isn’t compatible’s with most people, leading to unfortunate misunderstandings. Her fashion sense is instinctive. She merely wears what she likes out of her trunk/closet seeing as she doesn’t shop for herself. New trends elude her as well as academics. Finny can easily be described as well—not smart. At all.
Background: Born in Orlando, Florida yet raised in the heart of London, Finland is the only daughter of an unmarried couple of retired Curse Breakers. Her parents met while being trapped for three days inside a Pharaoh’s tomb in Luxor. Perhaps it was the feeling of suffering the same misfortune together that brought them together, all the same, shortly after having escaped and lassoed a wild camel they proceeded to live together. At first, Finny’s parents considered sending her to Hogwarts but were afraid of her socializing with the wrong sort of people. Also, having noticed their daughter’s err-slow academic development they figured handing out a few spare galleons wouldn’t hurt if it meant she finally learned where Angola was located.
Thoughts about the Winchester Academy of Magic: OMG! Are there, like, pretty boys here, tooooo?!

Hmm, seems interesting! I'll join. One from each school work?
[Basic Information]
Full Name: Allan Hall Age: 17 Year: 7th Date of Birth: March 25th Gender: Male Bloodline: Pureblood
School: The Winchester Academy of Magic
[Appearance]
Hair: Slightly longer, and a dark blonde or almost brown. It's a little wavy, but sometimes he straightens it. Eyes: Dark brown, or hazel, depending on the mood he's in. Complexion: Slightly tan, and not a blemish to be seen. Height: 6'1-ish? Build: Tall, thin... Very male model. Typical Clothing Style: Even though some would consider him a geek, Allan used to be, and still is in his summers off, a male model. So he's always stylish and trendy. When he's not even trying, he looks very put together. He makes jeans and t-shirts look good. [Picture] (Ignore the text, please...)
[In-depth]
History:
Allan's parents, Philip Hall and Maggie Winter-Hall and were born, and raised in the heart of Las Vegas, Nevada. Both came from long lines of pure-bloods, hand had plenty of money between them. They married at the age of 19, and soon after, Maggie became pregnant with her first child, Mark. His father took up a job with the US Ministry of Magic, and his mother was a Care of Magical Creatures professor at the local wizarding school when Mark was old enough to be left with his grand mother.
Exactly one year after Mark's birth, came Allan. Irish twins, their father calls them. Allan was exceptionally bright as a child, walking and talking long before his cousins and other kids his age. At three he was already starting to recognize words, could count to twenty (Forward and back), and do simple math. Thrilled, His parents sent him to pre-wizarding school, with his brother, who was four. Both parents felt that the education the children would get in their current residence would not compete with Allan's ever expanding brain, and soon moved. They enrolled their children in the best school they could, The Winchester Academy.
As he grew up, he was always labeled a genius. He was performing simple spells at ten, in advanced potions at thirteen, and by sixteen, was top of his class. Always a very sociable person, Allan made many friends, very quickly. He even tutored those who needed some extra help.
When he was fifteen, he and his mother were shopping for new school clothes, when a young woman approached. She explained that she was a modeling agent, and that Allan had the most flawless skin, and perfectly sculpted face she'd ever seen on someone so young. After a few meetings with her boss, and the rest of the agency, Allan was hired to model for one of the top designers for wizards dress robes. He still does the occasional shoot every now and then, as long as it doesn’t interfere with school.
Currently, Allan is living with his Mother, Father, Brother and their three dogs Miko(Siberian Husky), Jukka(Alaskan Malamute), and Achilles(German Sheppard).
Personality:
Allan is a very friendly guy and is always there for someone to talk to. Though he is a very, very wealthy pure-blood, he doesn’t count himself as any different from anyone else. He loves to laugh, joke around and have a good time, but he can take things very seriously. He tends to be a little on the shy side, when it comes to girls, and goes on very few dates, though he is more than capable of getting one.
He's an avid reader and loves to learn. Giving him a book is best thing a person could do... Other then bring him a coffee, which he loves just as much. Allan had read all the classic literature like 'The Odessa', and 'The Iliad', and even named his dog after the most famous of the Greek Warriors, Achilles. He prefers the older works to the new ones, and even taught himself Latin in order to read farther back into history. His favorite work is probably the ballad of Beowulf.
Allan hates to see anybody sad, and is usually the rock, the therapist, and the mentor in the group. If anyone is having a bad day, they normally come to him if they need a shoulder to cry on, and he is more then willing to do his best to help. But he isn't going to tell anyone things that are not true. If you ask his advice, he'll tell it like it is. He'll tell you what you NEED to hear, not what you WANT to hear. And if that’s no good, then tough. He refuses to put someone's friendship, relationship, or whatever in Jeopardy over something trivial.
People have labeled him as a bit of a push-over, or a nerd, but that isn't the case. As apposed to violence, Allan will fight with words, and nine times out of ten, win. But if it gets physical, he isn't afraid to throw a punch in defense.
All in all, He's a great guy.
_______________
[Basic Information]
Full Name: Lauren Reid Age: 16 Year: 6th Date of Birth: January 30th Gender: Female Bloodline: Pureblood, and wealthy.
School: The Swiss School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
[Appearance]
Hair: Long, naturally a light brown, but she charms it purple and blue. It's got a natural wave or curl to it, and she styles it differently all the time. Eyes: A piercing blue-green. Complexion: Fair, and flawless. Light make-up, with dark eyeliners and shadows. Height: 5'5". Build: Thin and curvy, with a strong core and muscular legs. As an ex-dancer, her body's bound to be great. Typical Clothing Style: Lauren is you're typical rocker chick. While remaining as trendy as she can, she adds her own flare to each outfit, be it a studded belt, some great boots, a band tee, or a pair of fishnets. She isn't afraid to show off what she's got going for her, and often times wears skirts, or a lower-cut top. When she dresses up for a party, she always looks fantastic. [Picture]
[In-depth]
History:
Lauren is an only child, born and raised in Switzerland. Her parents come from long, well respect pure blood lines, and are almost considered Royalty. When she was first born, her parents gave her everything she could possibly want. That continued into childhood, and adolescence too. She enjoyed only the finest things money could buy.
At age seven, Lauren was taken to a classical ballet by her Aunt Kelsey, called Swan Lake. She fell in love with the grace and beauty of the movements of the dancers, and longer to be one of them. And of course, she got her wish. Her aunt enrolled her in ballet lessons a few weeks later, which Lauren loved with all her heart. She worked and worked, and promised herself that one day she'd be as graceful and beautiful as the swans.
Not long after her experience at the ballet, the same aunt took her to New York City in the United States to see a Broadway production. This time, The Phantom of the Opera. And again, Lauren was fascinated by the singers, and the story. With a little begging, her mother and father hired a music teacher to teach her to sing. This time, she found she had a natural ability, and didn't have to work as hard for her goal.
As years went on, her talents became more obvious, and refined. Dance companies offered her roles in summer productions, as did the local Opera house. Her parents couldn't have been more proud then when she landed the role of Johanna in the production of Sweeney Todd at the age of fifteen.
Her school life was always easy. She was a very smart girl, and got fantastic marks. Even her teachers praised her brilliance. But something about the wizarding world didn't seem right to her.
One evening, during the summer between her fourth ad fifth year, she heard music coming from an open garage of one of the muggle houses on her way home. She was entranced by the pounding drums, and mind blowing fast guitar. Following the music, she found two boys she knew from school and three of their muggle friends were the source. All of them were already graduated. After talking with them, and borrowing one of their mp3 players, she began jamming with them, and soon became their lead vocalist. The style of metal they played was harsher, and without even trying, she realized that she, like many of their influences could scream the lyrics. The band was thrilled, and the following summer, began playing shows.
Currently, Lauren lives at home with her parents, who are none to pleased wit her change in style. She doesn’t care though.
Personality:
Sometimes Lauren comes off as a bit of a tough cookie, and she can be, if you cross her the wrong way. But as long as you don't say anything behind her back, she's a sweet girl. She loves to laugh, and have a good time with her friends, muggle or wizard. She's very friendly and will start a conversation with anybody who looks lonely.
Being as pretty as she is has gotten her into trouble in the relationship department. Nothing with her ever lasts very long, and eventually she gave up trying. Though she still looks for the one person who can change her mind, and make her feel like there’s some point to all this dating.
When she's not dancing down the halls, or singing in the shower, she can be found in the library reading, or in her dorm painting. She loves the arts, and dreams of a career that has nothing at all to do with magic.
She's always the life of the party, and can always cheer someone up. Be it pulling them to their feet and swing them around until they can't help but laugh, or serenading them with classic love ballads, she will find a way to make someone smile.
Just tossing this one into the mix before I run off to bed, this character popped into my head and she wants to PLAY!
SPOILER!!: Murphy
Name: Murphy Lydia Law
Age: 16
Birthday: July 13th
School: The Swiss School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
Year: 6th
Personality: Murphy takes delight in pointing out that she knows more than you. Proving it. And making you look stupid. Now, this isn't nearly as much fun if you are not TRYING to appear smart. Similarly, if you think you are pretty, she'll probably point out that big ugly zit on your chin. And if you think you're popular, she'll ask why you're sitting alone. Naturally, most people think she is rude. This is because she is. She also feels like it's her mission in life to make people aware of their flaws.
Background: Born in Cork, Ireland, but due to her parents divorce when she was a toddler, raised in Basque, France, Murphy is the quintessential Daddy's girl who doesn't mince words. She doesn't get along fantastically well with other girls, historically, since she tends not to trust their motives. Boys are easier. They are mad at you? They yell. Girls are mad? They say they are not mad and then they set fire to your luggage. True story.
Murphy's mother, a very very busy Minister's aide, is highly concerned about her daughter's lack of social graces and she hopes that the Winchester School will have a positive effect on her. Murphy's father on the other hand can't see what all the fuss is about.
Thoughts about the Winchester Academy of Magic: You'd think people who went to ANY school wouldn't be THIS tragically stupid.
OOC: MMKAY. Imma start this thing now because ... well ... I am bored. And we have enough people. xDD Austin, when you are done could you please edit either one of your posts in this thread with the character bios? Then I'll put them up on the list. =D
And we are starting with the arrival of the new kids into the Main Hall.
SPOILER!!: The Main Hall
Freshly manicured nails tapped on one of the many tables scattered across the floor as a bored Vasilissa let her dark gray eyes sweep the hall for any interesting presence in the Main Hall. It was not really much of a surprise that she found none who could satisfy the entitlement. What seemed to hurt her pretty eyes were the empty seats on her table. Frowning with displeasure, the girl pointedly ignored those unoccupied spaces.
Under normal circumstances, the girl might not have minded. These spaces, however, were particularly left empty so that the disciples of the Swiss School of Witchcraft and Wizardry could feel welcome and not be ditched by those of the Winchester Academy.
Pressing her glossy lips together in a thin line, the brunette leaned back into her plush chair and stopped attacking her pretty nails with the table. Liss was in no mood to get them done yet again. Sitting in the saloon, waiting for the lady to get the ordeal over and done with was as interesting as watching the night sky without the moon or stars.
Not that watching the night sky with them was any more interesting.
Besides, the tapping sound was starting to annoy her.
Gray eyes fell on a figure standing at the staff table, yapping on about behaviour, prestige, conduct and hospitality. Urgh. The girl wished the Headmaster could just get his stupid speech over with already. Or just stop talking. Nobody else in the room was listening to him ... except maybe Torio. He seemed like the type to care.
The boy was so bloody optimistic all the time; Lissa found it agitating.
And then there was that thing about him springing animals at her out of nowhere, hoping she would actually start to like those ... monsters. Never going to happen, Torio. Besides, springing animals at her randomly was certainly NOT going to help.
Vasilissa wondered just how long it would take the old man to stop talking and invite their so called 'guests' in. Lissa was curious what these commoners were like, having only seen them bustling about on the street every once in a while. Only on rare occasions had she spoken to them. Very rare occasions. Like ... shopkeepers. And little kids wandering around thinking it was okay to ask Lissa where their mommy was.
Clearly, it was not okay. Yet, the brunette had helped them out. Out of pity. Nobody could say Vasilissa did not do charity because, obviously, helping out lost little kids counted.
Curious or not, Vasilissa did not think she could handle more than one or two of those silly kids fawning over them or the school. Or worse, being all tragic about the events at their own institute.
Spare her the torture, please.
As expected, Adrian Winchester was not listening to the headmaster, being far too busy examining his fingers. No one could really say that the boy hadn’t tried to really care about the words that came out of the headmaster’s mouth during the start of term feast, for he had tried as hard as he could in his first year at the academy when he had discovered them to be dull and unworthy of his attention.
His fingers, on the other hand, were important.
“Are there any chances of him finishing this before the end of the month?” Adrian questioned Torio, wearily before he placed one elbow on the table and rested his pretty head on his palm. “I’d rather have a look at those new students than listen to him.” Anyday.
It was true. At least there was a possibility that he would get a glance of a pretty face or two in that group. Just as the seventh year was about to make another comment about the lesser students who were about to join them, the hall started to applaud.
Oh, finally!
Lazily, Adrian joined in the applause for all of ten seconds before proceeding to wiggle his eyebrows charmingly at an acceptably pretty little thing he caught staring at him. The boy smirked at the flush that crept up the girl's cheeks before making a show of flicking dust off his perfectly clean robes.
Now, where were these new students?
Rhea Steele was in the process of having a full panic attack (it was not the first) right there, in the entrance hall of this ridiculously grand school. There were basically three reasons behind the said attack just waiting to happen. One, being that they were at the freaking Winchester Academy of Magic; they were in the entrance hall, in fact. Not at the Swiss School. Two, Matt was missing. She could NOT find him in the crowd. She lost him in between the carriages and the hall. Third, they were in WINCHESTER ACADEMY OF MAGIC! Of all the schools the Swiss Ministry of Magic could transfer them off to, they had to choose THIS one? Really?
Personally, Rhea wouldn’t have minded attending Hogwarts or Beauxbatons or even Hudsons.
“MATT?!” The brunette called out in the crowd, her eyes searching for her friend.
And then the doors opened.
And Rhea's jaw dropped.
This was not a SCHOOL hall. This was some sort of five star hotel ballroom hall.
As always Joseph Stauffen was far from listening to the headmaster's words. In fact, he was currently picking on a strand of his blonde hair. This specific hair had dared to stand off at a slightly different angle than the others which therefore made it NOT AS PERFECT as the othes. Guh! Staring intently at his reflection on his spoon Joseph sucked on his lower lip.
Blah...welcome the new...bla-
Wait, what?! The 16 year old gave the hair one last flick before dropping his spoon onto the table to blink at the headmaster rapidly. Whut?! Oh, yeah, right...those low-class people were coming to join them. Those students from this other school. What was it called again? Swiss...Family...no...SwissSomethingThingy. He had never been good at remembering names. Remembering anything really.
Steel-gray eyes sweeping the hall Joseph found himself scanning the faces of the students already sitting at the tables. Now, where were those noobs? Her? Nah, he knew her...wait, wasn't she the cute one who...oh, no, that had been...uh, never mind, she definitely was not a new student. Him? Maybe...he did look familiar to some extent though, so probably not. Him?Uh...yeaaaa-
EEEEEKKK!
Joseph jumped slightly in his seat at the sound of clapping hands all around him. Automatically joining in he beamed at his fellow students expectantly, wondering who or what they were clapping for. That was the moment the huge door which lead out of the hall opened and...

Ohai!
Dark gray eyes examined Joseph. Or, to be more specific, they examined his face. "You seem excited enough." The girl commented, returning her gray orbs to the group waiting at the door.
Oh, and they were so rejected.
"Just ... look at the way the lot of them are dressed." Liss could see nothing worth looking at in there. Except perhaps a few who had some hope. Watching them gape at the hall was just confirming her fears. They were going to fawn over the school.
How pathetic.
She just hoped that, if there was anyone intending to join this table, it would be the sensible ones. The ones who wouldn't disturb the natural environment of this place. Of course the preferred idea would be that they could all just go back where they came from. Now they had to pretend to be nice to them.

His previously excited beam had turned into a frown rather quickly. He was so not excited for them to be there. So many people. So many inferior people. What were they doing here?! Were they planning to take over their precious school?! Eek! No, but they wouldn't let them...nah, so not. They were going to fight.
Well, technically the others would have to do the physical part cause Joseph was so not going to endanger his hair. He would have to support his school somehow else. Wiiiith...uhm...well, he wouldn't be much help with the planning either sooo...he would just beeeee...there...y'know, moral support and all. Yes, that would be his part! Yeehaw!
"Whut? Excited? Me? No, not at all." He blinked at Liss rapidly in confusion at her comment. He wasn't excited. Not about the arrival of those people anyways. He had beamed, yes, but not because of them...it had been because...well, everybody had clapped so Joseph had assumed there would be something beam-worthy. Cause for him clap=something awesome --> beam.
At Liss' next statement Jo snorted as he turned his pretty head back to face the hesitating crowd of noooooobs. "Guh...my grandmother dresses a heck of a lot better than guys!" Gray eyes examining the faces of the noobs Joseph couldn't help but smirk broadly. Ugh."Look at how they gawk at us." Well, of course they would. They were used to that. At least he was. And Liss and the others certainly were too.

She just hoped that, if there was anyone intending to join this table, it would be the sensible ones. The ones who wouldn't disturb the natural environment of this place. Of course the preferred idea would be that they could all just go back where they came from. Now they had to pretend to be nice to them.

"Hopefully he'll still be talking when it's your chance to become Headmaster." Torio teased, extending his arm from its folded position over his chest to lightly jab Adrian in the ribs. "Maybe you should start paying attention. Take notes. Write a book." Each statement was emphasized by a gentle prod.
He was about to add another poke with the comment that slouching was a good way to get overlooked, when the hall errupted in a half-enthusiastic applause. Blinking, Torio swivelled his head around to watch as the hall doors fell open like the mouth of a hungry beast.
Noting the older boy's sudden rapt and interested attention to his own personal and flawless clothing from the corner of his eye, Torio let out a sigh. No doubt Adrian had caught some girl to flirt with, again. Giving him a nudge with his elbow, Torio tossed him a grin as he joined in the applause. "Best to start paying attention Winchester, because you know Headmaster's don't give speeches about pretty ladies."
Letting his hand drop to shift the position of the violin case on the overly decorated table, his gaze wandered over the Academy students. He was a hair-fraction more interested in their reactions to the new students than in the expressions of the Swiss School attendees as they entered the hall. Admiration of grandure and wealth were easy to read and common place for any who were not used to walking in the halls of the Academy. The facial expressions of those that were not used to anything but such novelties was much more enticing to his interest.
It was during this wandering gaze that Torio caught sight of Kiesha slinking up to Liss's chair. A smile ran across his face as his frisky river otter took the slight preccaution in sniffing the girl's ankles and giving Joseph a regarding look, as if to make sure that he was an acceptable plan B, before hopping right up onto the girl's lap without warning. Grinning, Torio shook his head a little at Kiesha's lap preference for some good snuggle time.

"Relax, Snow. Relax," Edmée ordered of her kitten in a hushed voice. The white furball had been resting on her lap, enjoying the feel of expensive silk caressing his tummy as he rested upon it. His red leather collar hung tightly - but not too tight, we don't want to kill the kitten now, do we? - around his neck, with a golden - of course - tag hanging carelessly from it, the Beaumont family arms embossed on it to show that this adorable but very spoiled kitten was property of the Beaumont family. Y'know, just in case he ever got lost, or... stolen. The latter which could result in the thief suffering a very slow and painful death in the perfectly manicured hands of a certain blonde.
The sudden uproar of clapping around the Hall had startled the kitten from his peaceful nap, and his tiny pink ears were up and alert as he glanced around the crowd of people sitting around in tables and the second crowd of people that had just entered the hall - whoa, whoa, whoaaa. Wait a minute. Snow didn't need to be human to know these were not a pretty sight. Even the cat itself knew more about expensive threads and the latest fashions than the nitwits that entered the Hall right at that second.
Edmée wrinkled her small and perfectly straight nose at the sight that was like a thousand needles attacking her silver eyes all at once. Peasants. Yes, this is what these new kids were - peasants. Not even her own maids looked like this; not even her own maids gaped at the sight of such luxury and splendor. These were obviously peasants who were lucky to even know how to spell Prada and Chanel. Edmée sighed. Most of these boys weren't even good-looking! And the girls… ugh. They looked like they should be washing dishes at the nearest pub. "Gross," was all Edmée was able to comment about these people. Gross. They were simply… gross. And if she looked at them a second longer, she was going to grow blind on her right eye. Well, and the left too, why not?

Romain followed in with the crowd of other Swiss School of Witchcraft and Wizardry students, his green eyes rather amazed by the sight. Just the Hall alone must have been three times the size of his neighborhood. Did people honestly need this much space? This much luxury? Really? Nah, they didn't. But some people, like the Winchester kids, seemed to be needy of these things in order to be happy. That was a bit sad. But Romain made no comment about it. He was, after all, rather grateful that their headmaster would be kind enough to accept a whole other school in his own. It was an act that showed perhaps not every person in this school was as much of a snob as rumours told.
As he walked into the Hall, he couldn't keep himself from letting his gaze wander up to the decoratively carved ceiling and the statues, and just… everything. It was too much for his green eyes to take in all at once. It made him dizzy. He liked things simple - like himself. This was all too complex. And trying to figure out why the Winchester kids were throwing them all such unfriendly looks was another complex matter he opted best not to occupy himself with. Now, if someone could only tell him where the library was, that would be amazing. He could use a good book right about now.
Allan had been only half listening to the headmaster, and half in his own little world. Sure, the arrival of the new students from that Swiss school was interesting and all, but the rules were nothing he didn’t already know. What to do, how to behave, treat everyone with respect… Yeah, yeah. He sighed and rested his head on his hand, laughing lightly at the back and forth between Torio and Adrian, who were seated at the table with him. “He’s got a point, Adrian.” Allan said lightly, looking at the boy with a sleepy-bored look. “Perhaps a book of you’re ever boring years of speeches would make for a good read… Not that I’d pick it up.” He gave a half smile as the students began applauding.
He looked up, slowly clapping for the new arrivals. He wasn’t about to judge any of them just yet, not until he’d at least spoken to a few. Most of them looked like they’d just walked into a fairytale. But one girl in particular looked right at home. Her eyes were scanning the room critically, but the light smirk on her lips seemed pleased. “I wonder how Liss and her crew of judgmental followers are going to react to these new additions.” He mused to the other two. “Personally, I think we could do with a bit of a change around here. Shake things up a little…”
Allan sighed lightly looking them over. Some of them were very under dressed for arriving to a new, and from what he’d heard much better, school. Jeans? Honestly? Oh dear, Liss was having a fit indeed. Maybe it was just the model in him picking their clothing apart. After all, not everyone got the good designer garb for free. Not wanting to feel like he was rushing to conclusions too quickly, Allan busied himself with a stain on the table cloth. The elves hadn’t done a very good job washing them this year…
Lauren walked into the banquet hall with a feeling of belonging. Sure, this wasn’t her school… Yet. But this was much closer to home then she was used to every year. Everything was clean, and decorated excellently. The students were dressed well, hair done and make-up applied. Yes, this would do nicely for now. If her father had anything to do with the rebuilding of her pervious school, it would surpass the grandeur of this one.
Her blue-green eyes looked over every detail of the room, and it’s inhabitance. Oh yes, she was home at last. Finally, people who knew how to DRESS themselves. She smoothed out the fabric of her designer skirt as she walked through the tables, looking for someone who looked as close to her kind as possible. Tossing her long, purpley-blue hair over her shoulder, she approached a table with a pretty brunette with gray eyes, and a boy with blonde hair. Both seemed upper class, like her.
Flashing a smile at the girl, Lauren lay a perfectly manicured hand on the back of an empty chair. “Hate to be a bother,” She said, trying as hard as she could not to act like the ‘princess’ she was. “But do you mind if I sit here?” Her eyes scanned the girl first, then the boy, tapping a high healed Guess shoe on the marble flooring as she waited for a reply.
Good lord, she hated acting like the brat she was raised to be.
Looking over her shoulder, she spotted a boy with a violin case before him. Oh good! A fellow musician. Not to self, get to know him. She flashed a smile and turned back to the two before her. “Well?”
Matthew Darcy was lost. It had been a long ride in the carriages and the train, and he thought no one would miss him if he slipped out of the pack in an attempt to find the bathroom. Key word attempt. One would assume that bathrooms would be located near the banquet hall, but apparently the Winchester architects did things differently.
He actually started going up some stairs at one point, before thinking that this couldn't possibly be right. Upon arriving at the bottom, however, he forgot where exactly he'd come from; there were three hallways he could take, one to either side and one in front, and he could hear noise from all three. And he still needed to use the bathroom.
Matt took a breath and looked around. If in doubt choose right? He set off, succeeding in doing a lap of most of the ground floor before finding a door with a familiar symbol on it. He pushed the door open with relief, but then stopped in his tracks. "This ain't a bathroom, it's a lounge!" But then he saw the toilet stalls and shrugged. At this point, fancy decorating could take a back seat.
When he was finished he realized he had another problem; how to get back? At least this one was easier to answer. He took a deep whiff and proceeded to follow the smell of food. Surely, surely the kitchen would be next to the banquet hall? They wouldn't mind if he cut through and in, would they?
He opened the door to the kitchen and stepped in, and it was like an overlord had entered the ranks. The cooks immediately started gibbering excuses and promises to be ready soon, and he raised his palms at them, "Whoa, I'm just lost, relax. Where's the dining hall?"
They just stared at him, and slowly one pointed a spoon in the direction of a far door. He moved to it quickly and opened it a crack to peer out. Hey! The other Swiss kids were just entering!
Matt slipped out of the door and moved along the edge of the hall until he was safely back in the ranks of the middle-class. Smooth.
If anyone didn't fit in among all this pomp and ceremony. All the frills and frippery, it was Murphy Law. She didn't WANT to attend the Winchester School, she'd have happily attended just about any other, or teach herself, but her mother was all hot about social exposure. And if Murphy were honest with herself, the Winchester School had a very good academic reputation, which would be nice to hold over people.
For that, and no other reason, was she putting up with this spectacle, these nose in the air people.
Murphy raised her eyebrow at the slightly dullwitted Matt Darcy as he came into view. She recognized him at at least. Hard not to. Girls greatly outnumbered boys at the Swiss School, and yet somehow she never seemed to get any girlier. She'd have wondered about that, only she didn't care. She was sure she had spotted Romaine around somewhere while taking her seat, but she lost his bushy head somewhere in the crowd.
As for the other boys in the school? They were about as friendly as the girls from the Swiss School, and just as interesting. Completely full of themselves and over groomed. Murphy had no use for boys who spent more time in the bathroom than she did. Which wasn't that much...
Murphy rubbed her temples exaggeratedly. "There is nothing I can learn that is worth this," she muttered under her breath.
