As always Joseph Stauffen was far from listening to the headmaster's words. In fact, he was currently picking on a strand of his blonde hair. This specific hair had dared to stand off at a slightly different angle than the others which therefore made it NOT AS PERFECT as the othes. Guh! Staring intently at his reflection on his spoon Joseph sucked on his lower lip. Blah...welcome the new...bla-
Wait, what?! The 16 year old gave the hair one last flick before dropping his spoon onto the table to blink at the headmaster rapidly. Whut?! Oh, yeah, right...those low-class people were coming to join them. Those students from this other school. What was it called again? Swiss...Family...no...SwissSomethingThingy. He had never been good at remembering names. Remembering anything really.
Steel-gray eyes sweeping the hall Joseph found himself scanning the faces of the students already sitting at the tables. Now, where were those noobs? Her? Nah, he knew her...wait, wasn't she the cute one who...oh, no, that had been...uh, never mind, she definitely was not a new student. Him? Maybe...he did look familiar to some extent though, so probably not. Him? Uh...yeaaaa- EEEEEKKK!
Joseph jumped slightly in his seat at the sound of clapping hands all around him. Automatically joining in he beamed at his fellow students expectantly, wondering who or what they were clapping for. That was the moment the huge door which lead out of the hall opened and... Ohai!
Dark gray eyes examined Joseph. Or, to be more specific, they examined his face. "You seem excited enough." The girl commented, returning her gray orbs to the group waiting at the door.
Oh, and they were so rejected.
"Just ... look at the way the lot of them are dressed." Liss could see nothing worth looking at in there. Except perhaps a few who had some hope. Watching them gape at the hall was just confirming her fears. They were going to fawn over the school.
How pathetic.
She just hoped that, if there was anyone intending to join this table, it would be the sensible ones. The ones who wouldn't disturb the natural environment of this place. Of course the preferred idea would be that they could all just go back where they came from. Now they had to pretend to be nice to them. |
