When a Hogwarts students realises that they enjoyed school so much that they want to spend their life there, they study to become a professor. To the students, the professors seem dull, depressing and merely clever robots designed to teach by day, and pretty much not exist outside of class hours.
But they're wrong.
Hogwarts has ten core professors, all completely different. All trapped in a school full of amateur witches and wizards for nine months at a time, each professor is different, and has a different story to share.
There's a lot more to being a professor than meets the eye.

Robert was raised by a muggle family in North London, who were not aware of having magical blood. When he first showed signs of being a wizard, his parents were frightened and checked him into a Juvenile Asylum for a couple of months.
Fortunately, a passing doctor there happened to be a wizard, and recognised Robert's signs as those of a young fellow wizard. Relieved, his parents took him out of the asylum and sent him to Hogwarts when he was eleven.
However, since his five months in 'the mad house', Robert wasn't just a little abnormal. He had become a lot more hyper and, indeed, sarcastic. He never really grew out of it, but he did achieve marvellous results in all of his exams, and returned to Hogwarts as a History of Magic teacher.
Still renowned for his eccentricity, 'Mad Merthin' is still popular with his students and a gifted wizard.
~~~ Purlease Read Now I know that I cut down the subjects, but I want to keep the rp uncluttered. Also, one character each and you can teach up to two subjects. There are no characters other than the professors but if you want, you can breiefly rp a student if you want to Whoever posts the bio first for a character gets it.

Instead of going to outside she decided she would just roam the hall maybe she would catch some kids or find one of the ones who always talked to her.
She took out a gummy bear from the secret bag in her pocket, muggle candy and wizarding candy was always good when you were bored. As she roamed she saw Robert. She quickly caught up with him which was quite easy. Hopefully he didn't mind her talking to him, some people just enjoyed roaming the halls alone...Than again that was always suspicious. "Hello Robert,"

"Ah, Luminita," Said Robert airily, stopping in front of her. His dark eyes hovered on her hand. It was a small jellied bear. He frowned at it. What was it? Curiously he leaned forward and took it from her fingers wordlessly. He held it up at eye-level, and he moved towards the window, looking out at the sun through the jellied bear.
He then rolled it between his finger and his thumb, and after a moment popped it into his mouth. After letting it rest on his tongue for a few thoughtful seconds, he suddenly spat it out, and the bear shot out and hit a small second year Ravenclaw on the back of the head.
He quickly cleared his throat and turned away, giving a subtle nod at Luminita, as if she had thrown the bear. "What was that vile concoction?" He asked indignantly, scratching his tongue to take away the foul taste.
Since no one seemed to be answering the door he decided to head back down to his classroom for his next class he had to teach. Unfortunately it was more seventh years. Though thankfully these seventh years actually acted there age. As he was alking he noticed the Headmaster with Luminita. "Hello Robert, hello Luminita. Robert I have an announcement to make at dinner time, for I will be proposing to the love of my life........Christiani." He stated.
Since no one seemed to be answering the door he decided to head back down to his classroom for his next class he had to teach. Unfortunately it was more seventh years. Though thankfully these seventh years actually acted there age. As he was alking he noticed the Headmaster with Luminita. "Hello Robert, hello Luminita. Robert I have an announcement to make at dinner time, for I will be proposing to the love of my life........Christiani." He stated.
Robert raised his eyebrows at Duncan Weaver. Robert, personally, had never had any interest romantically for... well, anyone. Nope, he had better things to be doing. Running a castle full of young wizards was enough for any man.
"Ah, well hear-hear," he said dryly, raising an imaginary goblet. However, he was fond of the Divination professor and, indeed, his Charms-professor girlfriend. "That's marvellous. Let's all go to Hogsmeade tonight and celebrate," he said flatly.

Luminita smiled as Robert said hello. She was about to pop another gummy bear into her mouth when suddenly he took it from her hand. She looked at him for a second did he just still her candy!! She glared at him and watched as he inspected the bear. DID HE JUST SPIT OUT THE CANDY!!!?? No way! She bursted into laughter, holding onto his shoulder for support. "That my dear, was a gummy bear that you just spit at the Ravenclaw! You didn't like it?"
She had finally stopped laughing when Duncan arrived over to them. She was just about to say hello when he said that he would be proposing to Christiani. "That is just great news! Eep I can't wait to see her face when you propose!" Lumi smiled and exclaimed "Yes we must go celebrate!" She popped another gummy bear into her mouth and than an evil smirk went onto her face as she got an idea. She simply placed one onto Robert's shoulder.

Feeling burning eyes of students and professors alike on her, Carolyn blushed a little. She wasn't really used to all the attention, not even after 2 years teaching there. So, finishing her lunch, she stood up as the plate disappeared.
Smiling at Gabriel and Christiana, she slid her chair back under her table. "I'll be in my office grading specimen exams," she smiled. She liked doing this for her OWL and NEWT students. It gave them an idea of the format and type of questions that appeared in the exams, thus giving them better chances of scoring high marks.
Exiting the Great Hall, she smiled at Robert, Lumi and Duncan as she dipped into a quick plie before she continued on her way to her office. Which happened to be seven floors up. She hated the fact that they couldn't apparate within Hogwarts, sometimes.

Christiana looked up and seeing Duncan she could not help but blush. She loved him so much. As angry as she was with him, she could not help but blush even though she was so angry with him. She really and truly loved him and she really wanted their relationship to work.

"Ok. So it's an agreement then we'll celebrate in Hogsmeade after my proposal tonight with Cristi." He stated proudly. Then he cheked his watch. "Oh my god I'm about to run late to my next class. So I'l talk to all of you later." He said. After he said that he ran to his classroom.
Christiana sighed and balled her fists in anger. She bit her lip to keep from screaming out in frustration and very nearly grabbed a dungbomb off a passing student to throw at his head. Now not only had he not allowed her to talk, but he'd just plain ignored her. She'd be spending the evening in her room tonight, she would be at dinner, because she had to but she was determined that he was going to have to notice her at some point. She walked toward Robert and Lumi and forced a smile. "Hello Rob, Lumi." She greeted them both politely. "Rob may I speak with you for a moment?" She asked the headmaster and her best friend.
Chaz shook his head. He watched all this with a bemused expression on his face. Duncan had better be charming because it was plain to see that Chris was mad! He walked over toward Lumi. "Hey Lumi, will you join me for lunch?"

Lumi smiled towards Duncan before he left, today would be a great day. The two were going to be so happy together, Duncan was a good man so he probably won't hurt her and the two were so perfect together. She waved good bye as he left for his class. She glanced down at her watch noticing it was an hour earlier than she originally thought the first time, her next class wouldn't be there for a couple more hours, she really wanted to do a face palm but everyone was here and that might be a little embarrassing.

Christiana sighed and balled her fists in anger. She bit her lip to keep from screaming out in frustration and very nearly grabbed a dungbomb off a passing student to throw at his head. Now not only had he not allowed her to talk, but he'd just plain ignored her. She'd be spending the evening in her room tonight, she would be at dinner, because she had to but she was determined that he was going to have to notice her at some point. She walked toward Robert and Lumi and forced a smile. "Hello Rob, Lumi." She greeted them both politely. "Rob may I speak with you for a moment?" She asked the headmaster and her best friend.
After shaking his head dismally at Luminita once again, and giving a sarcastic grimace as people decided to take his 'plans' seriously, he gave a little wave to Carol as she left.
He hated celebrations. Particularly marital celebrations. Now maybe that was inappropriate for a Headmaster, but Robert Merthin was never one to deny himself of being, well, himself.
He looked up when Christiana approached them, and gave a short half-grin. "Well yes, of course." He said to her, moving with out of the huddle's earshot. "What is it, deary?" He asked her pleasantly, leaning against the pillar.
Lumi smiled towards Duncan before he left, today would be a great day. Seeing something translucent and yet brightly colored and oddly shaped like a bear on his shoulder she reached over and took it off him. "What in merlin's pants is this little bear shaped thing?" She wrinkled her nose. "Ugh, it feels all sticky like a jelly-slug." she pointed her wand at the disgusting little thing in her hand. "Evanesco!" She grinned as the vile little thing disappeared.

Lumi smiled at Chaz as she took his arm. He was so nice and he liked gummy bears, which was a big plus in Lumi's book. Since no one seemed to like them. "Of course Chaz, I saved some just for you!" She was joking of course there would always be enough since Lumi was basically the only one that ate them well besides Chaz and some of the student. Seeing something translucent and yet brightly colored and oddly shaped like a bear on his shoulder she reached over and took it off him. "What in merlin's pants is this little bear shaped thing?" She wrinkled her nose. "Ugh, it feels all sticky like a jelly-slug." she pointed her wand at the disgusting little thing in her hand. "Evanesco!" She grinned as the vile little thing disappeared.
Robert's natural disinterested expression changed quickly to a worried frown. "What do you mean?" He asked her, though already he had a couple of ideas. "No, please. Bore me." He said to her seriously. If something was wrong regarding Christiana, Robert would be the first to see whatever measure taken to make sure she was alright once again. He swallowed a little uncomfortably when she acknowledged she was pregnant. He always forgot about it because he found it hard to believe. While he liked children, he was not paternal by nature and the thoughts of marital and parental hood always daunted him a little.
He waited for a few moments when she mention the so-called 'gummy bear'. "If you must know, it's some sort of jelloid edible figurine for muggle children, designed to be light and well tasting." He shuddered. "What an epic fail." He said scornfully, watching as she got rid of it. "Stupid awful thing... I can still taste it, you know."
Lumi smiled at Chaz as she took his arm. He was so nice and he liked gummy bears, which was a big plus in Lumi's book. Since no one seemed to like them. "Of course Chaz, I saved some just for you!" She was joking of course there would always be enough since Lumi was basically the only one that ate them well besides Chaz and some of the student. BUT no way was Lumi sharing her candy with students yeap not happening! She held out the gummy bears for Chaz to get some. "Do you want to know what Robert did when he tried a gummy bear???" She looked at him with a big grin on her face, he knew he wanted to know...
He took a small handful and chewed on one thoughtfully. "Please, you didn't save them for me you just have some left." He grinned cheekily. The truth was he wished that she had truly saved him some on purpose, but he was truly too shy to say that. "I hate to even imagine. What did he do?" Chaz asked as they walked into the great Hall.

It makes me angry." She whispered softly, her eyes filling with tears. She blinked them away. She did want to cry but she would wait to give in to her tears when she was alone, or when she felt safe to. The truth was, if they were in his office she would have dissolved into the tears she so desperately wanted to cry. And she knew that Robert would have held her and let her cry.
"It sounds completely disgusting. Here have a sensible good-tasting toothflossing stringmint." She reached into her pocket and handed him the packet of mints that she kept for them." She shook her head. "Why do people think that sugary, jellyish things are good." She grumbled.

"So he plucked one out of my hand-not the bag and than popped it in his mouth and do you know what he did afterwards? He spit it out and hit a young Ravenclaw in the head. Isn't that just bonkers?" She finished the story just in time for the two to reach the table.

He tried not to show any signs of anger when she mentioned how Duncan was being insensitive. Robert liked Duncan in a colleague kind of a way, but he never saw him as a friend, so therefore he felt no shame in being angry.
"Let's go up to my office," He said, pulling on the gargoyle and muttering, "stringmint," before beginning to ascend. As he walked with Christiana he nodded with what she was saying. "I completely concur. It's like chewing flavoured rubber." He added scornfully, accepting the stringmint. Perhaps not all hope was lost.

Robert eyed Spark. To be honest, he wasn't very fond of the bird. He allowed Christiana to care for it, and name it. He had argued over the name, eager to call it Mycroft, but as always, he gave in to her. He watched her for a second, thinking. Should he tell her that Duncan was going to propose? No, he couldn't. He wouldn't. It wasn't for him to say.
He swallowed when she called him Robbie. Of course nowadays he liked to be called Robert, but fifteen years ago or so, he was always known as Robbie. Few people knew that anymore.
"Of course you're not, darling. You know that. Humans were made to survive alone, so no relationship is going to be perfect. I know Duncan is flawed, but if you love him- it won't bother you for long. If it does... you might need to re-think things." He knew how risky what he had just said was, but he couldn't stop himself.

She wasn't exactly surprised to find a student sitting in one of her couches. It was almost normal for them to visit her when they needed someone to talk to. Smiling, she flicked her wand, allowing the 'Make Yourself At Home' sign on her door turn to show its other face, reading 'Come Back Later'.
"Elaine?" she asked, moving towards the Hufflepuff on the couch. "What's wrong?" Sitting down next to the girl, she opened her arms for a hug. Met with a heart-wrenching sob, Carol rubbed the girl's back.
"I'm sorry, Professor," Elaine choked in between sobs. "But I didn't know who else to go to. Professor Weaver won't understand. My mother, she wrote a letter-" she managed to say before dissolving into hysterics again. Meeting Professor D's eyes, she managed to stop long enough to finish her sentence.
"The doctors say she has cancer," she sobbed. "And the healers at St. Mungo's won't treat her because she's a Muggle."
Holding the crying girl closer to her, Carol continued rubbing her back, urging her to cry it all out. She knew from experiences that holding it in didn't help. "Do you want me to get you a letter to leave school to be with her?" she asked, breaking the hug to see the girl's face.
Elaine shook her head a little, looking down at the carpet. "She said to continue studying for her," she said quietly. It wasn't fair that they had to take her mother. It wasn't. Sure, she wasn't perfect, but she tried. She tried all she could and she loved her.
"Okay," Carol said, causing Elaine to look up. "I think we should respect what she wants," she said before continuing. "Christmas break is coming up soon enough. You can visit her then, and if you need anything, I'll be here. Okay?"
Since there weren't many classes going on now, and the sixth-year ones were few at the moment, she smiled. "How 'bout you help me arrange the tower for class later? Help you get your mind off things."
Elaine shook her head. "No thanks, Professor. I'll be okay." Smiling a little shakily, she hugged the older woman in gratitude before standing up. "Thank you," she whispered before walking towards the door.
"You're welcome." Carol answered, getting up and opening the door for her, turning the sign around yet again. Now, she had papers to grade. Would Gabriel maybe come distract her or maybe even help her with them? She knew it was a ridiculous notion, but she wanted it.
Shaking her head, she sat herself down into her chair which sank to fit her perfectly. She loved this chair. Really. Picking up a quill, she began to get to work.
The fate of a star depends on its mass. Correct.
