It's the year 2065,
Of course, Emmylyne still had an agreement set with her mother over having part-guardianship of one of her many younger sister's. This one, being her teenage sister: Savannah Mae. There was nothing wrong with their family in the least, the younger girl merely didn't want live in Paris and move from the school she had started at; That, and Emmy's little sister seemed to be quite similar to her, in afew ways. The main, being she and their mother butted-heads too much. That, was another story in it's own though.

And Axel, had full-guardianship of both Valencia, and Dustin Phoenix. His teenage brother, and nearly of-age sister. That, was also an even longer story, but shortly put; Axel's father and grandfather, and maybe even further back had been sucessful auror's (Which there was no doubt, he was following in their footsteps). Of course, along with the job came the chance of dangers to yourself and your family. Some year's prior an attack had been made on the Phoenix family. Most unfortunately taking both Missus and Mister Phoenix's lives, Axel kidnapped and severely hurt, and both children in the care of the Ministry until they had been able to find a relative to hand them over to.

They had all had their fair share of hard times, and of good too. Since then, everything seemed to be going their way (for the most part); it was all actually really lovely. Emmylyne and Axel, had met many, many, many year's ago. As kids, only afew years older then toddler's even. Along with three others: Elissa, Benjamin and Finnegan.
Since her grandmother had introduced them at the age of five, for a playdate, each had become unbelieveably close unbelieveably fast. Spending each day of summer together if possible, and whenever they could during the rest of the year. It had gotten harder as they started different wizarding academy's. The two girl's going to Beauxbatons, and the three boy's to Durmstrang. But still the five managed this.

Now, to the present, Emmylyne had a gorgeous daughter; a toddler. Very intelligent for her age, and knew on her own that Axel, her Mommy's husband, was not her 'real' Daddy. Although much too little to remember anything from those times she did spend with Benjamin before his heroic death (By putting a colleague before himself) Lainie loved both men, alot. Both, she felt were her Fathers and that's all that mattered to her.

Back to Axel and Emmy..They had married, exactily nine months from this day. December 8th had been the day, in her favorite season. Thankfully..There had been very few mentions or awkwardness about 'them' from Family and Friends. Emmy had been more so concerned over Benji's side of the family..and his friends, but really all that mattered was Faith Lawley; Lainie's Grandmother, was absolutely fine with it. Knowing her son would have been too, as if it had been arranged incase of his death - Ax had been family, in Faith's eyes. She had one son, and two daughter's, one more son wasn't anything to her and it gave her that comfort knowing her past daughter-in-law and mother to her first and only grandbaby was in good hands. Even better, Jodie; Ben's sister, was completely understanding as well. Both Lawley women were very involved in the toddlers life, and Ems.

She, Emmy, was greatful. Over all of it. Everything had always been incredibly complicated, it always had and she was still uncertain if that would go away. But that was okay. She- No, they, had a growing family. She had Axel, the love of her live. And her little angel, Lainie..plus, three wonderful teenager siblings, that the women couldn't help but treat as her and Axel's own. But that was a given, really.

The past was behind them, of course never forgotten..but also never mourned. Only celebrated, to the fullest it had been whether it be a lost-loved one or a bittersweet memory. Whatever it be, they tried keeping thing's positive. And around the house..everything was nothing more then cheerful, and happy. Though, with their only being the couple at home at the moment, one could say that didn't mean much. They; Ax and Ems, would disagree though.

It was rather early in the morning, on August 8th in Valencia, Spain. Today, each of the four 'children' were- As far as Emmylyne knew- suppose to be on their way home from visiting others on break.

Literally speaking, It's doubtful Axel and Emmy could handle more then their teenager's ~~Especially with Vee just turned of-age! XD~~ and toddler. Family bonding time right now.

Chloe leaned her head against her brother and shut her honey colored eyes tightly, hugging Ashton to her chest. This had been a very long day and she thought it needed to be over. Yes, over. Their family had gone through way too much over the past few years, ever since Axel came back. Poor guy...she thought.

Axel nodded and patted Benji gently on his good arm. "Absolutely. And I'll be right behind you," he whispered. He then turned to Blair and smiled. "If he needs help, I'm on it," he assured her. He then began to slowly descend the stairs. What a day. The knot in his stomach had eased slightly, but it was still pulsing. He was worried about Emmy, even though he knew she was perfectly capable of taking care of herself.

On hearing the creaking of the stairs, Finn looked up to see the three walking down. The young man stood up and embraced each one of them. "Everythin' alrigh'?" he asked, cautiously. There was no Emmy with them, or a stationary Remington, which made him a bit nervous. Then again, their faces were quite solemn, which comforted him some. All in all, he was confused. What exactly had happened up there? He was confused and in need of answers. It seemed that everyone's emotions were going haywire lately. Could you blame them?

Axel smiled warmly at his cousin as they hugged and nodded. "Emmy's up there with Remmy, somewhere. She can handle it, I know she can," he told Finn softly. His eyes then landed on Lainie, who seemed to be crying. The knot in his stomach began to pulse again. He did not like that she was unhappy. "What happened?" he demanded, a bit too forcefully. Give him a break. He's had a long day.

Chloe smiled at the three as they walked down and scooted a bit more closely to Jodie so they could get past on the stairs. Axel seemed fine, but then changed quickly when he saw Lainie. She was about to explain when little Ashton woke up and began making small noises. She smiled down at her nephew and kissed him on the forehead.

Benji gave Axel a small head nod and began out the door. As Blair asked if he could walk, he said "Ill live." At the top of the stair case, he saw that everybody was sitting down on the stairs. He put one hand on the banister and began to descend very slowly.

Jodie looked up when she heard footsteps. The others were began to come down. But where was Emmylyne? She stood up as she saw her brother. He looked to be in bad shape. She could see tiny drops of blood on his shirt. She didnt like the look of that at all. After Finn hugged him she immediately walked a step up to him and gave him a hug. She was so glad they were all ok. But she was even more thrilled to see that her brother was still alive.

Ben cringed a little as people began to hug him. He got comfort but each of the hugs, but it didnt make the pain in his arm any less painful. When Jodie was hugging him, he heard her take in slow breaths. She was holding in a lot of emotions right now. He knew her. She was not going to show any sign of crying until she knew everybody was ok. She was one of those peoples who was calm through a tragedy and freaked out later. Well not really freak out. He had never seen her freak out. But he knew she was trying hard to keep it in.

"Benj, are you ok? Where is Emmy?" she asked. She looked at Axel as he answered her question. Axel and Blair seemed to be in decent shape. So why was Ben all mangled? Her chest was beginning to hurt, but Jodie held her straight face. She then helped Ben sit down on the step above Chloe.

Benjamin shut his eyes tight as Jodie helped him sit down. Pain shot up his leg and he tried his best to ignore it. When he reopened them, they landed on Lainie. His daughter. Then Axel began questioning what was wrong with her. He normally would of been asking forcibly what was wrong too, but the little girl didnt even know him. He didnt want to distress her even more than she was.

Ben was truly sad that his own child didnt even know who he was. It hurt him more than the shooting pains going through his body at the moment. He had failed her as a father. That was killing him more than any of Remmy's curses.

He was gone. Under any other circumstances she should have felt atleast even alittle bit relieved, right? What had he meant..Remington just might? He was Remington. She had no time to stress over that, considering everyone was more than likely worrying and waiting for any sign of life, on her part.

Still craddling her friends young, hysterical daughter, Elissa listened intentively when Finn asked a question, and Axel answered with what she already figured; and reassuring words, she just hoped he was confident of that. Please let her be alright She thought to herself, moving a strand away from her amber eyes and continued rocking gently from side to side. Needless to say, it soothed Ashton awhole lot more than Lainie.

Rubbing her reddened, swollen eyes; Lainie tried saying something, but it wasn't understandable because of her hypervenilating crying. At this point, the little girl didn't even know what she wanted, let alone what was going on. Just like her vision, her mind was blurred.

"Nothing that I know of. Ax, She's feeling confused, lost and upset, and wants to leave. She wants her Grandmother Faith, is what she keeps saying." Eli responded, naturally brushing off the tone he used. They had all just went through a HUGE day, that left like it lasted forever, with such big scares and events. And it wasn't even over.

Standing, The young woman wasn't sure if it was the greatest idea, considering she could understand it hurting Benjamin more, but Elissa knew Laih wouldn't understand being handed off to him, so instead, she went to Axel and allowed Laih to switch over to him; her crying had slowed over the past few minutes, and her breathing had calmed even the littlest bit.

"Thankyou Chlo," Eli said, knowing her sister-in-law would understand she meant watching over Ashton. Approaching the redhead, she held out her arms to relieve her of the infant.

Slipping out of her daughters room, Emmylyne wasn't close enough to see everyone in the staircase. She planned to go downstairs, but first, went to the master room. And nearly silently checked each and every room on the way. More to welcome that secure feeling, and still it didn't come.

Until being in the fully lit bedroom, The twenty-two year old hadn't noticed the bruises that appeared, more from her dumb attempts at escaping that..tunnel? than her own clumsiness. She sighed, getting a wet clothe as she stepped into the bathroom, and ran it over a slightly bleeding scratch. Dabbing and wiping it, just enough to clean it up within seconds, before abandoning the bathroom all together. The room as well.

Going downstairs, she avoided making any kind of contact with the others, being careful getting through at about the bottom of the steps, where they were sitting. Emmylyne didn't meet anyones gaze, and faught doing so. "Can everyone head into the livingroom?" She asked barely above a whisper, motioning down the hall "Please?" Something in her left hand, was held close to her thigh. Emmy knew questions would be asked, and would need answers. There was ALOT to sort out, but Lainie came first. Just like she was always meant to, just like it should have been and should be.

Listening (and watching) to what everyone was doing Blair was soo confused on what was going on. She hoped that Emmy would be able to stop her bother, without getting hurt. Remington has changed so much over the years. When they were kids he was quite, and a bit of a loner. Somewhere on the lines of growing up though he had changed. No it was not when he had got bitten by the werewolf; although that had caused him to become more distant.

It was a little after when he had come back from his 7th year of school. He was different. Colder, weirder, not to mention more obsessed with Emmy. It was like he was a whole different person. Coming out of her thoughts Blair noticed Emmylyne was back. Without Remmy. That was good right?

As she asked for them to follow her Blair didn't know if she should leave or not. Her job here was done right? But since no one said anything she followed her direction on where the living room was.

Chloe nodded and smiled to the best of her ability as she handed over the small Ashton to his mother. She sighed and stood, running her fingers through her vibrant red hair as Finn placed an arm around her. What a trying day. Yet again her family and friends had been the targets for danger and she had no idea why on earth their luck had been so poor. She hated it and she wished she could do something to stop it, but it seemed that Remington had stopped it. At least, for now. She didn't know why Emmylyne walked down so quietly, apparently holding something close to her.

Finn took hold of his sister and began to lead her into the living room. He sat down on the couch and pulled her down beside him, clinging tightly to her. Leaning his own head on Chloe's, he gave her a small kiss on her forehead then leaned back and let a small sigh escape him. He was emotionally and physically exhausted, but that wasn't at all what his cousin was feeling. He felt horrible, but he also wanted to know why Emmylyne had walked down unscathed. Did Remmy really let her go? Yet another mystery to go with their strange day. Wonda'ful. Jus' wha' we need...

Axel gratefully accepted Lainie from Elissa's arms. He held fast to his adoptive child and closed his eyes as he shoved his face into her hair. he had not meant for this to happen. Then again, he really didn't know whose fault it was, if anyone. He was so confused, yet, he also felt helpless. Again he had failed to keep his family safe. Again they had been attacked without warning. Again had Remmy infiltrated a loved ones' household. This was enough. Axel could take it no longer.

Upon hearing his wife's voice, the young man did nothing but walk to Benji and offer him his hand to stand. His best friend had gone through so much and Axel was part of the reason he was hurting. How could he forgive himself now? What was there to do? Then again, Axel never seemed to know exactly what to do. Since he had met Emmylyne everything had been a blur. When he found out that Benji was going to propose, that nearly killed him. Now what? Was he nearly killing Ben? How could this have happened?

Making his way into the living room, he received a small nod from his cousin, which said it all. He smiled slightly then sat on a puffy chair in the corner with Laih still tightly wrapped in his arms. Now to listen to Emmylyne. God I hope she has good news, because I sure as hell don't...

Benji looked away as Elissa handed Lainie over to Axel. He understood why she gave her to him, but it reminded him that his own daughter didnt know him. Even though he was angry with himself for being such a failure as a father, he was grateful that Axel had taken over. Out of all people, he trusted Axel as being her father.

Running a hand through his dark brown curls, he finally heard her voice. Ben looked up and saw Emmy walking down the steps. From what he saw, no scratches, bruises, or noticible marks. Thank God. He was so relived to see her unharmed, Benjamin didnt even say anything. He was at a lose for words.

As a hand blocked his view, he looked up into Axel's sea green eyes. He took the hand gratefully and slowly stood up. His leg twinged uncomfortablly underneath him, as Axel pulled him up. He then followed Emmy and the rest into the living room. He took a seat next to Blair and waited for Emmy to speak.

He hoped she was alright. He also hoped that she was going to deliver good news. It made him a little nervous. What was she going to say? Was this whole thing done? Just like that? Or maybe something else was happening. Could Remmy still be in the room? Invisible? Like before? Lainie was in the room and he did not want her to see any of the fighting. Absent-mindly, he slipped his hand, secretly, into Blair's.

Jodie sat quietly on the steps, not really knowing what to think. She only looked up when she saw Emmy making her way down the stairs. Standing up, she looked over at her brother to see that Axel was already helping him to his feet. She then began her way into the living room.

Notcing something in Emmylyne's hand, she looked up at the twenty-two year old and gave her a questioning look. Deciding on waiting to hear what she had to say first, Jodie took a seat next to Chloe. She knew Emmy would be ok.

Lainie was calmed, physically, and working on emotionally. She felt slight comfort in hearing the voices around her, or..lack of voices, except her mummies. Burrying her face into her step-fathers shirt, the child held onto it as well, afraid he'd try putting her down. Shuddering uneasily, earth tone eyes hid behind her eyelids. Did Remmy really trick her? did that make her a bad girl?

Resting Ashton's head against her shoulder, Elissa didn't sit, like Emmylyne wished everyone to. She paced around the room, looking to catch her best friends gaze once or twice but there was no hope.

Eli was annoyed, frankly, the silence would kill her at this rate. Approaching the young woman, trying to atleast see what she was holding, Eli supressed a impatient sigh, as Emmy flinched away from the close contact rather than saying anything, and continued pacing.

Ash was awake, that much was obvious from the gurge cooe that broke the silence, almost turning into a fussy whine till his mother started patting his back. Wide amber eyes didn't stay open for more than afew seconds at a time, he was still having troubles adjusting to the light after a long nap; not that he would be able to focus on anyone or anyone object yet.

Now in the livingroom, Emmylyne took standing infront of the fireplace, infront of everyone. Tracing the designs on the picture frame she held in both hands, She was sure to miss any wandering gazes, and also made sure to keep from letting anyone see what she held close.

Feeling liquid begin to trickle a thin line on her arm, coming from the stinging scratch of a cut she thought she'd taken care of before, Emmy pursed her lips together, rubbing her right arm to rid of the red path, she moved carefully from her position to fetch a sweater, and came right back within the minute. Pulling her sweatshirt over to cover herself, and exhaled a deep breath.

Lainie wouldn't come first, she realized, placing the object down out of view. The child was just as confused as everyone else, if not twice or three times as bad. They needed to figure things out, before involving her. "I. . .am sorry, for everything" Emmy started, tucking golden blonde strands behind her ears. Forcing herself to look up, "This whole mess was my fault, and I understand if you guys don't forgive me, I can't forgive myself for this one." Meeting Axel's sea green eyes for only a moment, she went on "I should have told you. I was naive, and stupid to think it wasn't as bad as it seemed, and I only let it get far worse than it should have ever gone,"

"It's over. He left and won't be coming back." Emmylyne's low voice became uncertain, her gaze that had moved to the floor, moved onto Blair, choking out a question she was afraid to have answered, but it was better than letting them have a good chance at noticing she said 'left' rather than she'd taken care of him herself or he escaped; "Blair, how many siblings do you have? I need the full truth,"

Looking around at everyone as they stood there in silence Blair wanted to yell at someone to say something, but of course she wouldn't. It wasn't the time or the place to be bossing people around. The situation was way to serious and Emmy would talk on her own time. Looking at Axel with the little girl in his hands she took a small glance at Benjamin who sat right next to her. The girl obvious looked like him, and yet she thought that Axel was her father? Blair sighed it just proved how much trouble Remington had caused.

As Ben slipped his hand into hers Blair didn't protest she just gave him a look as to say everything would be alright. Of course she didn't know this but she hoped it was true.

As Emmy began to apologize Blair wanted to interrupt and tell her it wasn't. That was however none of her business. Letting out another sigh this time of relief she was extremely happy to hear that he had left on his own. Maybe that meant that he wasn't coming back?

Opening her mouth and closing it she wondered where Emmy had gotten such a weird question. Hadn't the girl already known? And how was this important. She only had an older brother and that was Remmy. "One...only Remington." She said slowly. Emmy's question had in fact made her remember something she had seen a long time ago; something that she had forgotten. "I think." She said in a small voice. "Wh-When I was younger, I mean like growing up. There wasn't that much pictures of Remmy as a baby. Actually there wasn't any. But once..I was like 12 I found these pictures in a box our attic. She paused for a moment trying to remember the rest. "The first picture was of these two babies..they were only a couple months old. They looked identical; like twins. The the other one had a baby who was about one years old. It was one of the twins but the other one wasn't there. I never really thought much of it because the babies could have been someone else in our family or something." She finished. Blair had no idea why she was telling them this. Remmy couldn't be a twin right? If he was what happened to his twin? Plus her parents had told her nothing about having another brother. This whole thing was probably ridiculous.

Chloe waited for the worst. Naturally, that's what everyone did lately. Wha' a great life, she thought as she held tightly to her brother's arm. As Emmy began to speak, honey colored eyes focused in and tried to comprehend what she was saying. Her fault? This was Emmylyne's fault? Everything that had happened was supposed to be her fault? How so? Sneaking a glance at Blair, Chloe could tell she was asking the very same question in her head. Wait...another baby? This was a lot of information for one day. One hectic day.

Emmy's fault? Finn tried to understand this, but failed miserably. How was it her fault that an insane person from their past came and messed up their life once again? This hardly seemed fair. Then Blair spoke. Finnegan was about to say something, his anger getting the best of him, when he felt Chloe give him a hard nudge in the ribs. Yeah, that shut him up. He scowled at her, but she was right. This was not his moment or his say. Ben and Axel were the ones who should be angry, but Axel seemed to be more shocked than anything. It baffled Finn.

Emmylyne's fault? More and one Remmy? Attic pictures? Axel held a bit tighter to Lainie when everything was being said and closed his eyes after Emmy made eye-contact. She was hurting and he knew it. He hated that. He didn't know what to do or how to do it. He was helpless. He hated being helpless. Rubbing his eyes with his right hand, the young man stood gingerly, still holding tightly to his step-daughter as he turned to Blair.

"There could be more of him?" His voice was broken and it wasn't the best version of the question, but it told them his point. "So, you're trying to tell us that the person terrorizing us today might not be Remington? There could be another one of him?" This time he looked at Emmylyne, walking slowly over to her, but not daring to touch her. Remington was gone, but would someone else return? Possibly a twin? Or was that even Remington at all? This was now starting to frustrate him. Why was their life so difficult? Why had everything gone downhill for him since he was seventeen? Whoever is torturing me so badly up there, I swear. You win. I give up. Give me my life back. If not mine, gives theirs back because I sure as hell don't deserve it.

Benjamin listened quietly as Emmylyne talked and talked. He didnt know what to say. He didnt know what to do. He didnt know what to believe. Was he in shock? No. He was just being paranoid. He was breathing fine. Yeah he was banged up a little, but he would live.

As Blair looked over at him, he knew he wasnt in shock. If he was, she would've seen it on his face. It felt good holding her hand. Kind of like when they were younger. Yeah they werent fifteen anymore, but it still sent butterflies in his stomach.

Wait. He almost died today. Axel almost died. Emmy almost died! Why was he thinking about how Blair was giving him butterflies? He was married to Emmylyne and-Wait...he wasnt married to her anymore. Or was he? Benji was more confused than ever. Was it wrong to be thinking about Blair this way after everything that has happened today?

Jodie sat on the edge of her seat listening as Emmy spoke. But why did Emmylyne blame herself. This was in no way her fault. "Emmy, this is not your fault. You didnt ask Remmy to come and...you know." she said, looking straight at Emmy. She wanted her to believe everything she said.

She then turned her attention to Blair. Two Remmys? Thats not good. Thats not good at all. She then looked over at Ben, who was sitting close to Blair. He hadnt said much. Thats not like him at all. "Ben?" she said softly. She could tell he was thinking. Thinking hard. He did have a rough day. Gosh, she could only imagine what was going through his head right now.

Benji jumped, slightly, at the sound of his name. He looked over and saw that his sister was looking at him questionly. Man, she always seemed to know when my mind wasnt all the way here. He tuned back into the conversation as Axel stood. Stood with Lainie in his arms. His daughter. It pained him that it wasnt him holding her, but he was glad to see that she was a lot calmer than she was a little while ago. "Axel is going to be a good father." he thought to himself. He is really going to love it, Ben realized.

Then he began listening to what was going on. He stood up quickly as Axel stopped in front of Blair. He had this weird urge to protect her. When he walked over to Emmy, he got a glance of his face.

"Damn, it looks like he's giving up." Benji thought. That couldnt be Axel. Axel would never give up. It wasnt like him to give up. Ben knew what he had to do. "Axel Phoenix. Do you remember what Grandma Angelina use to say when we thought all hope was gone? Do you? She use to say As long as we have eachother we are fine."

With two long strides, he was next to Axel. He placed a hand on his shoulder and squeezed it. "Look, I know it looks bad. I mean come on. I couldnt even walk through this door without breaking my leg." he gave a light chuckle. Him! He actually laughed! "But we are all here. All of us. Just like when we were young." he gave the man a genuine smile. The man that he knew would be by his side, always.

Nodding lightly here and there, to show her attention was on the story Blair kindly went on to explain. She stood completely still, listening intentively. Once the other woman was done, she processed it over once or twice in her head, oblivious to any eyes on her. The man that had been sending those letters, and that had been here today, tried hurting the boys she grew up loving, wasn't Remington? Oddly, that thought was kind of relieving, to some point. Creepy in another, maybe even more confusing and scary, yet she was glad there was a chance Remington hadn't gone crazy on them. "There's many possibilities.." Emmylyne said slowly, her voice still just above silent. Hearring her was no problem, the whole room was quiet, "Remington may have a twin brother, and if not we might have a case of polyjuice potion. But I don't believe Remington..." She paused, earth tone eyes closing, she faught to finish her sentance without her voice breaking. "Would have done that to me, or in general." Her instincts were telling her she was right, he wouldn't have. That wasn't Remington at all, she should have realized it sooner. "I ask," Emmy continued, returning her gaze on only one person; Blair. "Because he said he wouldn't return; Remington, however, might."

As A-Daddy neared her mother, but stopped before getting too close, Lainie wiggled from Axel's arms, showing she wanted set down. Once on her own feet again, the child rubbed her eyes in an attempt to clear her vision, and stumbled over to Emmy. "I ish sowwy mummy," She cried quietly, looking up into her mother's eyes. "I is bad, I wisened to him; I hewp. He say he..pwotec famiwy, if I teww himb wha he need. I ish sowwy, Waih ish a bad girl." Lainie scolded herself; shaking her head disappointedly, golden curls bounced back and forth, making her hair even messier than before.

Elissa stopped pacing, leaning against the arm of a chair near Axel and Ben. While she had been listening to everyone in the room, thoroughly, what Benji said really sunk in deep. It was like she had almost forgotten that, herself. "Your all too right, Benji" She said with a weak, wholehearted, laugh. Patting Ashton's back gently, once he was situated, being cradled in her arms. "Separated we fall, together we stand tall." A truly happy smile played upon the young woman's face, gracious and bright. Anyone could give up, but not them,..that was too easy. "If it was just like old times when we were younger, Finnegan would be trying to figure out a way to impress me by fixing this or trying to solve it," Eli pointed out, amusedly. Adding in a light tone, "It's good to have you back Benjamin."

Emmylyne faught from moving away, which automatically she wanted to do when anyone, even Axel, grew closer. Messing with the rather flat, yet solid object in her hands, Emmy managed to stay were she was, reminding herself over and over in her head it was just Axel and there was absolutely NO reason on the face of the earth she should or needed to have such a reaction. That didn't stop replays of tonights events to wander through her head, however.

As her daughter approached, abrutly apologizing in an unclear, small voice, Emmylyne went to bend down to her height, but refrained out of better judgement. She'd end up having difficulties getting up, or not sitting down at all. Instead, she with little fuss, she picked up the toddler in ease. Shushing her, and stroking the curls on the child's head that now rested on her shoulder. "Lainie Alona, you are not to blame, you were used as a pawn. I should have been being more responsible, I should have known something was wrong, you were included. Your not a bad girl, your a very good one. Mummy is so very sorry," Emmylynne said, wiping Lainie's tearstained face.

The child, upon noticing the object her mother held in her opposite hand, asked to see and hold it. "Yes, we're getting to that now. Go sit on the couch, please, dearling." Emmy, setting the three year old down, ushered her over towards Blair, allowing her to take the picture with her.

Avoding everyone's eyes even Emmylyne's Blair had no idea what to say. Emmy probably knew more about this than she did. She barley understood the information she had given them. Taking another glance at Benji she slowly pulled her hand away from his. Something about it just didn't seem right, it was making her feel....happy... too happy. This wasn't the time for that. This was serious. Plus Emmy was married to Benji was she not? Or maybe not....where did Axel come in? This whole thing was so confusing.

Blair bit her lip and Ben started to talk about how they were all here, like the old days. It made her kind of feel left out like she did when she was younger. Taking a deep breath she finally looked Emmy in the eyes. "Emmylyne...that wasn't Remmy...he..it..." Blair stopped and tried to put together her thoughts. "It was a full moon tonight. If that was Remmy he would have transformed, he couldn't make it through your house without seeing the moon at least once, because I know I saw it three times since i've been in here." She said slowly.

Listening to the other womans words Blair couldn't think of what to say. "I'll try to get a hold of my parents as soon as possible, we need answers." Blair said with a nod. She had questions and her parents were most likely the ones with the answers. As the small girl- Emmy's daughter - Emmy's and Ben's daughter sat next to her Blair couldn't help smile at how cute she was. Her hair reminded her of Benji's and her eyes were just like Emmy's. Looking at the object in the young girls hand Blair slowly pointed to it. "Do you know that he's in this room right now sweetie?" She asked the toddler quietly.

Chloe screwed her pretty face up as everyone began to throw in their ideas about what had happened. "Whoah. Ya tellin' me tha' there's two of Remmy? I mean, tha' he has a twin?" She was confused, just as much as Axel looked at this moment. "Shoot. We really can't get a break can we?" She said that more to herself than to anyone else. This was extremely confusing. Running her fingers through her vibrant red hair, the Irish girl stood and began to pace behind the couch, out of everyone's way. She, like Blair, felt a bit out of place. But then she remembered that she was around the first time Remmy attacked. Ah yes, those were the days. NOT.

"Thank you dear," Finnegan said dryly to his wife's mention to his childish ways. "Ara be whist Chloe," he said through clenched teeth to his older sister who was poking his head behind the couch and chuckling lightly.

Chloe quickly stopped laughing and smiled sheepishly at the room. "Sorry, I'm a bit...slap happy I guess ya could say." She sighed and leaned against the wall, keeping her mouth shut.

Finn stood up, glad that his sister had stopped talking, but he enjoyed it all the same. "Eli's righ'. As is Ben. Ax, don't give up. Why are ya givin' up? It's ova'." He placed a comforting hand on his cousin's shoulder, furrowing his eyebrows in thought. He knew that Axel was not one to give up. Why was he acting like it now? He glanced at Ben who had the very same facial expression on his face as he looked at Axel. This was not his cousin. This was someone else. Someone giving up. "Ya have to be strong for ya family Ax," he reminded him. Maybe that would trigger something in his head. He was the protector and he was doing the best he could.

Axel allowed Lainie to slid down him and walk to her mother. He then was questioned by both of his best mates. He closed his sea green eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose with his thumb and forefinger. "Why does this keep happening to us?" He paused and looked at both of the men in front of him, both comforting him. "Why can't I protect my family properly? Bad things have been happening to me since I was seventeen and they haven't stopped."

Walking away from the two, the young man walked towards Chloe's direction and began to pace the area she had been only moments ago. He felt helpless. Again, he had let someone down, no matter how much they said it wasn't his fault. He was an auror! He was supposed to keep people safe! He could keep other people out of harm's way, but when it came to his family...He didn't even finish that thought. At least no one was dead.

"You're right," he said quietly to his cousin and friend. "We're here. We're alive. That's all that matters." And that's all he could ever ask. He just needed a little nudge to remember that. Ben was good for that and Finn was good for re-enforcing it.

He then became silent and nodded towards Emmylyne who seemed like she was going to say something else. He locked eyes with Finn and Ben before placing an arm around Chloe and waiting for his wife to speak. She had something to tell them, that was obvious. Was it good? He didn't know. Knowing their luck, it probably wasn't. But he had to believe.

Jodie sat quietly in her spot on the couch. She didnt really know what to say to all this. Usually Jodie was always able to say something. Even if it was something to just get peoples minds off the situation, she was able to talk. But now it felt like her throat couldnt work. It was like something was clogged deep down, so it was becoming hard to swallow. But she kept a calm facial expression on her face. She didnt not want people worrying about her while others were in pain.

She wanted nothing more to go home to her son. To her husband. Santana and Obie. They were her life. But she couldnt bring herself to leave. Part of her was still worried that Ben wasnt really here and she was just imagining him. Then another part didnt want to leave because there was too many people hurting here. She didnt want to leave them high and dry. She wanted to help them, all of them. But she didnt no how. For once Jodie, didnt know what to do.

Benji chuckled lightly at Elissa's words. He walked the small distance between them and wrapped her in a hug. "Its good to be back Eli." he said, a smile tracing his lips. He then let go of her and turned back to Axel. Finn was trying to talk some sence into him now. Finn always knew how to talk to Axel. Maybe it was because they were related. No, it was something stronger than that.

At Axel's words, Benjamin began shaking his head lightly. "Im not going to argure with you that bad things have been happening to you since you've become of age. But you are wrong about protecting your family. I dont know how you did it, but even when you were gone, your sister and brother were always kept safe. Nothing ever happened to them. I dont know how they are now, but I can only expect that they are well and living." Ben paused to take a deep breath. "You kept Emmy and Lainie alive while I was...uh, away. I am forever greatful for that. Its not your fault that things happen that we cant prevent." He then looked away from his mate, afraid he would break down if he looked at his sea green eyes any longer.

When his emotions were back in control, he looked back up at Axel. His chocolate brown eyes locked with him for a few seconds, but it felt like forever. His leg began to tremble beneath him, but he ignored it. Slowly he turned back to Emmylyne. Lainie was holding a picture in her little hands. He couldnt see what the picture was but Blair seemed to recgonize it. She seemed to know how to talk to her. She was bringing another emotion inside him that he wasnt sure of. Watching her, his hands began to shake. Hoping nobody noticed, he hid them his pocket.

Lainie, staring down at the picture of her father that had been taken the summer after he had graduated from school, turned her attention on the lady beside her. He was here? Lainie blinked. "Mummy seys thwose we wuv awe aways with us. In ouw heawts," She mused, head tilting to the side.

Emmy slowly nodded, showing she was listening. Blair was right, Remmy wouldn't have been able to get away without transforming. Even if he had taken his potion, he wouldn't have been able to do that. "Your right, I know." She murmured back in response. She nodded once more. Blair talking to her parents was a very good idea at this point. Probably their only option.

Everyone else continued discussing, she kept her mouth shut. Focused on thoughts. Only something Axel said caused her to snap out of it, saying "You can't prevent something you didn't know was coming, and your an auror. A line of your family members were, it's just the way it is Axel..that's in no way your fault." weakly. Sighing, Emmylyne continued as she started to walk over towards everyone else, particularly Laih. "Bad and good all level out somehow. We've had alot of good in the past, now it's just decided to level out; It makes us stronger, and we are all alive. We're all together too. I think that's something of its own,"

Catching Elissa's amber eyes, she returned the small smile whole-heartedly. Brushing a gold lock out of her toddler's face. Benji looked as though he was shaking abit, she noticed, refraining from frowning. She'd have to fix him up, after.. "We have alot to take care of, or try to. But this is the begining of the list: I'm going to heal Benji up again, or we're taking a trip to St. Sebastians; I want Chloe to return home and make sure her fiance' knows she's just fine, and I want Jodie to go home to her family as well. Blair" She paused, turning to her. "Your welcome to stay if you'd like, I won't force you but I do think you should. A good checking up is what we all need. Eli and Finn, sorry but you two aren't going anywhere tonight, I won't have any night traveling especially not with an infant. Your stuck here too, and Benjamin" She mused, stopping in her tracks of tidying up the room as she went. "Your more stuck here than anyone else, so don't even think of escaping." She knew he wouldn't, but was teasing abit. Trying to lighten the atmosphere. "And one thing! I don't need taken care of Misters! I'm perfectly capable of staying alive, thankyou ohhh so much." Emmylyne poked her tongue out.

Now, coming back to Lainie, Emmy reached out for her hand. Pulling her up from the couch, and lead her over to Ben before bending down beside her, to explain "Blair was right, hunny. Know how muggle's think witches and wizards are made up fairytales?" Lainie nodded. "Nothing is impossible."
