This is a continued role-play created by hazydazy012, the other thread reached posting limit. From the previous thread:

One year at Hogwarts a mysterious spell was cast that not even the professors can undo. You wouldn't be able to see a difference at Hogwarts, just looking at the school, but it actually made magic impossible! Not a single person or creature could cast a spell while in the school. How are the students supposed to learn when they can't try out the new spells? Sure, most were devestated, (Especially the 7th years! How are they supposed to finish their last year?!) but of course, some were estatic too! Who doesn't want to have a longer summer vacation? So, most students go home in high spirits TWO months before Hogwarts was officially supposed to be let out for summer break. Only one week into their luxuriously long holiday, every student recieves this letter:

"It is mandatory for any students who want to complete their year to attend "La Bacchetta Magica", a summer learning camp for wizards located in a small getaway near Tuscany. You will be finishing up the studies that were unfinished at Hogwarts. Please bring your wand and other necessary items for regular classes."

Fantastic. Some are angry, but most are excited! I mean, it's called "The Magic Wand" in Italian, for goodness sakes. It's gotta be fun. And guess what?! It is! Everyone is having a great time with the mix of school and just plain summer camp fun! How will the Divinations in the morning and campfires at night affect the students? You decide!

Please join! There will need to be a few professors/camp counselors! Even number of boys and girls, please. Post a bio with a picture, thanks!

(P.S. I looked up "La Bacchetta Magica" and it told me "The Magic Wand" but it was only an online translator. If I'm wrong, then whoops! Heehee)

Vianna was rather caught off-guard as Ferris suddenly planted his lips on hers. She looked up at him with wide eyes as he pulled back and addressed her. "Uh--er-- I just..." She looked past him, not really able to come up with an excuse to hide how flustered she really felt. "Do you think... you could help me?" she asked, returning her gaze to him and raising both hands slightly to reveal two bags in one hand and a squirrel in the other.

"I dunno, because you're blonde and good-looking?" replied Vince, beginning to make his way out of the room and locking the door with a wave of his wand. He then returned his attention to Kayla as they made their way down the hall. "Why, you're not? Well, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised if you aren't... you seem to shower daily. Wait-- you do shower daily, don't you?" His eyes suddenly widened as he looked down at Kayla with disbelief, as if the girl had already admitted to not showering.

Vaguely aware that his surprise closeness to her wasn't exactly appreciated, Ferris separated himself from the girl, taking both bags of marshmallows with a nod. "Yes, of course," he said, keeping a bit of distance between the two them. He could be awfully flirty with the girl, hold her as he just had or plant a number of kisses on her cheek, and usually enjoyed her cute expression when she got flustered. But sometimes, that old insecurity crept back into his mind, and he became a little unsure of himself, hoping he hadn't freaked her out or anything.

Vianna smiled warmly at Ferris as he agreed to help her, taking the marshmallow bags into his own hands. "Thanks, Professor," she said, back at ease now. She began leading the way down from the aisle and sighed to herself, feeling rather frustrated with her herself now. Why did she have to be so easily flustered? Ferris might find it cute, but it was really beginning to bother her. She didn't want to have to keep a distance from him forever just because her nerves still failed miserably around the boy.

Ferris looked over at her as he heard a small sigh and his brow furrowed slightly, now removed from his small little world. "What's up with you?" he asked as they rounded a corner, now making their way over to a register. He stood behind the two people in front of them, standing to face Vianna as he watched her with his head cocked to the side gently.

Vianna snapped out of thoughts and looked up as Ferris asked what was up with her. "Huh? Nothing," she said, absentmindedly looking at the people in front of them. Her eyes then wandered over to Fluffy for a moment and finally returned to Ferris. "Um... do you think we'll really be able to eat all those marshmallows?" she asked casually before adding, "I'm still pretty full from that dinner earlier, y'know. Aren't you?"

Though his brows were still furrowed, Ferris let her response pass, though he was still slightly suspicious. He gave a shrug as she asked if he thought they would be able to eat all the marshmallows, "I wouldn't mind a few marshmallows right now," he said with a small smile. "This will last us for the next couple days at least, we don't have to eat it all tonight." The line slowly diminished and Ferris stepped up to the counter, paying for the marshmallows and speaking with the shopkeeper in French for a few moments. Bag in hand, he left the shop with Vianna.

"Right, of course," muttered Vianna with a nod as Ferris explained they didn't necessarily have to eat all the marshmallows that night. She watched distractedly as the boy then exchanged words with the shopkeeper and led her out of the store. Once outside, she looked around the scenery, her eyes then finding the ground as she turned thoughtful.

Ferris didn't like her silence, afraid something might be upsetting her, but didn't press what was bothering her. He figured if she wanted to tell him, or talk about it, she would. So, he just took her hand in his, intwining their fingers as they walked down the slightly crowded streets. He looked up, and upon not being able to see any stars, looked back to the streets with a slight frown. He missed his hometown already.

Vianna looked back up after a moment of silent walking, Fluffy was beginning to grow uneasy in her hand as he wanted to jump around and climb things already. She gave the little squirrel an apologetic look and looked up to find they were beginning to near the park. Fluffy jumped from her hand and sprinted off into the distance, in the direction of the tree he had been climbing before. The young girl watched her pet with amused eyes before turning to Ferris, only to find a frown on his face. "Everything okay, Professor?" she asked him.

Ferris looked up as he was addressed, eyebrows raised slightly before he nodded, "Yeah, I'm fine it's just..." he trailed off for a moment, trying to find the words that didn't make him sound like a loser though he was pretty sure Vianna wouldn't think of him that way no matter what. "There's no stars here," he said with a small shrug and a weak smile. "I miss home a bit."

Vianna gave Ferris a sympathetic smile as the boy shared what was the cause for the frown on his face and admitted that he missed home. The young girl tightened her grip around his hand slightly and gave him a smile. "You'll be back," she said. "I can't promise you that it will be soon, but you'll be back," she continued, nodding her head slightly. She remained positive about the outcome of their situation, but had become slightly more open to the reality of it all - that if they ever got to return home, it wouldn't be anytime soon. That weeks, maybe even months could pass. But this didn't kill her spirits; getting back home was all that mattered, whether it was the next day or the next year.

Ferris smiled weakly at her response, listening as she assured him that he would get back there eventually. He looked to the ground before looking back to her, "How are you so sure Vi?" he asked hesitantly, turning his curious brown eyes to her as they began to near the tree they were sitting under before. He wasn't sure what he meant by his own question, but as things seemed to get more bleak and harder to deal with, he found himself losing faith more than he wanted to. "How do you know we can make it out of this?"

Vianna was now absentmindedly watching Fluffy climb up the same tree from before and then turned to Ferris as he asked her how she was so sure they could make it out of this situation alive. The young girl smiled faintly at him. "You want an honest answer, Professor?" she asked, letting her gaze return to the view ahead. "I don't have the slightest idea why I'm so sure. I just know that I am. And usually, when you're sure enough about something, it happens." She returned her gaze to him and her smile turned amused. "I know it's probably a very naive and childish way of thinking, but it's worked for me for the past sixteen years, why wouldn't it work now?"

Ferris listened as she explained that she had no idea why she was so sure, that she just knew she was. And that system had worked for her for the past sixteen, just believing something so much that it became true. He watched the girl next to him with slight amazement in his eyes, truly intrigued about her. "But don't you think this is different Vi?" he asked, brows slightly furrowed. "We're up against a lot more than anything you've faced so far."

Vianna shrugged. "Well, if we're really meant to die so young, then... that's horrible," she said, making a face at this. "But I just don't see it happening," she added, shaking her head slightly. "Maybe I will when I've got one of the kidnappers pointing their wand at me, but right now... I just don't believe it. And I don't want to convince myself to believe it, either." She came to a halt by the tree they had been sitting at before and proceeded to sit down on the green grass, beginning to pick on it as she usually did. "We only have our spirits now, we might as well make the best of it and stay positive, don't you think, Professor?"

A crease appeared between Ferris's brows at her next few statements, his brown eyes searching the green grass and he released her hand so she could sit down. He remained standing, trying to process everything with a slightly defeated expression on his face. "I wish I could remain as positive as you are, Vi," he finally let out with a light, rather humorless chuckle. He ran a hand through his hair as he paced slowly, slight distress written on his face. He didn't want to be reminded of their circumstance, of how he was the only thing standing between Ned and his parents, of how now he was the only one keeping everyone on the run. Keeping everyone in constant danger. But now he was thinking about it all, and he didn't like it.

"I'll be positive for the two of us," suggested Vianna, watching as the boy now began pacing back and forth. Her eyes examined the clear discomfort and stress on his face and she found her smile slowly beginning to fade. "C'mon, Professor, just sit and enjoy the marshmallows with me, will you?" she asked, her head going from side to side as she followed his movement.

Ferris couldn't even manage a smile as Vianna suggested that she would be positive for the both of them, "Yeah, I might need that," he mumbled, his shoulders slumped as his mind ran over things that he didn't want to focus on. They made him feel empty inside, almost guilty, like a kid who skipped school for a day and had too much fun without getting caught. He looked over at her as she asked him to sit next to her and enjoy the marshmallows. He gave a small nod, walking over to her and sitting down, a thoughtful expression still on his face.

Vianna turned to the boy now sitting next to her and watched him silently for a moment before taking the first bag of marshmallows and opening it. It was the one with the small marshmallows; she took some into her hand and then offered the bag to Ferris.

Ferris took a handful of the small marshmallows, attempting to give Vianna a smile, and popped a few in his mouth as he let his eyes wander across the nearly empty park. After a few minutes of silence, he spoke. "Y'know Vi..." he started absentmindedly, "I don't mean to be such a pessimist, I just....I can't help it." He looked away from her for a moment, his eyes falling to the ground in almost an ashamed manner.

Kayla smirked. "Of course." She said. "That's a good reason." And a far lot better then Vince's other silly ideas about France. "I don't know," she shrugged. Kayla probably wasn't, but she never really knew too much about her mother's family. Kay chuckled, smirking at Vince. He was ridiculous. "Oh, I don't know." She said with mock thoughtfulness. "What do you think? Do I shower daily?" She said with a teasing note to her voice.

Vianna ate her marshmallows slowly, absentmindedly watching the people pass by and walk around the park with their kids and other family members. She then turned to Ferris as he suddenly spoke again, explaining how he didn't mean to be a pessimist but couldn't help it. "It's okay, Professor," she said, giving him an understanding smile. "I think the world would be in trouble if we were all blindingly positive... we need pessimists, too," she added with a light chuckle, her eyes wandering back to the park around them.

The horrified Vince raised an eyebrow slightly as Kayla teased him, asking if he thought that she showered daily. "I'm not sure, but I think you do," he said thoughtfully before leaning over to the girl and smelling her as if he was some type of cat or a dog. "Hmm." He then pulled back with a thoughtful look on his face. "You passed. I think you do shower. Or at least you showered today," he announced.

Ferris gave a dark chuckle, leaning back against the tree trunk, his eyes scanning the scenery as Vianna spoke, telling him that the world would be in trouble if they didn't have pessimists. "Maybe there wouldn't be any trouble to begin with if there were no pessimists in the first place," he said, hating how with every statement he said he was opposing Vianna's normally happy disposition. He didn't want to bring her down, he didn't want to be upset as he was, but his mind kept wandering back to Ned and his parents.

"Jeez," Kayla said, shaking her head. "You don't need to smell me." She chuckled. "You know, with the way you go on, and completely believing that French don't shower daily, you're almost getting as gullible as Vianna."

Vianna returned her blue eyes to Ferris as the boy spoke, mentioning how there probably wouldn't be any trouble in the first place if everyone was positive. "Perhaps... but it would be kind of boring too, don't you think?" she said, the smile still on her face as she then turned back to the tree and called her little squirrel down. Fluffy followed her call obediently and was down by her side in a flash. The young girl grinned down at the little squirrel and handed it one of the marshmallows, which he took into his tiny little squirrel hands.

Vince scoffed as Kayla accused him of being nearly as gullible as his little sister. "Don't be absurd, Kay," he said as they now made their way through the lobby and out the main doors. "No one in the world could ever be as gullible as Vi. You could tell her you were born in another planet and she'll believe you," he said, rolling his eyes. He actually found it quite offensive to be accused of being like his sister in this sense; it wasn't a compliment.
