SCENE ONE: The mansion belongs to a now third year college attendee Damon Mercada. He's anxious, knowing that he lives in the rather large home alone with no comany but his family that comes to visit occasionally. He's been anxiously awaiting the day the love of his life, Taylor McIntyre would graduate from Hogwarts and ~~hopefully~~ be his again. Seeing how the Mansion is in France though, he's rather worried what her response will be since it was so far away from their family in Scotland. How it will unfold though he has no idea.

Tay kissed him back, "I love you too." She would of said something when Damon storm out. Taylor glanced at where Damon went, "I..." Tay looked at Brodie and pleaded with him, "I got to go comfort him... he is my cousin after all. I'm sorry." She kissed him again, "I will be back soon." Taylor ran after him, seeing him go out to the garden. Tay followed and saw the last of the birds of paradise and blue roses die. "Damon..." She looked and kneeled in front of him. Her hands went up and she unclasped the necklace. Taylor held it out to him, "I'm sorry, Damon but..." Tay trailed off. "I shouldnt of came." Tears started to fall.

He shook his head, "Please don't..." Damon looked up at her, "I'm happy you came... I should've known you'd find someone else." He looked back down as a tear fell, "I was foolish to think you'd wait for me." He stood up, wand in hand, "I need to go... Your welcome to stay as long as you please." With that he apparated away, necklace in hand and also the broken chain that held the ring. To his mothers grave. He sighed sitting down next to it, laying both down on her tombstone as he started to break down again. A fool... that's all you are, a fool.
Brodie came outside finding Taylor crying, he quickly took her in his arms, "What happened?" He looked down at her, lightly wiping her tears away.

Tay buried her face in Brodie's chest. Tears were still streaming down her face. Her make-up was getting messed up. "I... He is upset that I didnt wait for him and instead got together with you. He said he should of known." Taylor looked away, feeling guilty for hurting Damon. "I made him upset." Tay started to shake.

He rocked her, The jerk... Brodie shook his head, "Then that's his fault... not yours. It's been two years since he broke up with you, he should've moved on." He looked at his fiance, "This isn't your fault," He looked at her, not knowing how to make her feel better, "And he has nothing to blame on you." He held her tightly and then couldn't help but notice that the necklace she always had on was gone, "Did he take that back too?" His anger grew slightly.

Taylor sighed and kissed him. "I had thought he moved on..." She reached up for the necklace when he mentioned it, "I took it off and gave it too him... He gave it to me one day in the first year of our courtship, saying his father told him to give it to the girl he is thinking about marrying... It was his mother's and I should of gave it back sooner than today." Tay looked at him.

"Well... He moves a little fast..." He shook his head, kissing her back lightly, "He had no reason to think you would wait for him... Someone as stunning and beautiful as you... You shouldn't have to wait for anyone, and if he truly thinks you should have then he's nothing but selfish and shouldn't have let you go in the first place, if you ask me." He hugged her tightly.
Damon sighed, looking at his mothers grave still, "I wish you were still here Mom... You always knew what to do... Even at nineteen I'm still depending on you. You and Dad... but we both know how well he and I agree on anything." He accioed the everlasting blue rose Taylor had given him at his fathers marriage to Chelle, sitting it beside the necklace and ring that still had the broken chain attached to it.

Tay blushed and gave a slight smile at Bodie. "You are sweet, my love." She looked into his eyes, hugging him back. "Though he can be really selfless sometimes..." Taylor sighed and looked away. Tay rested her head on his chest and thought back on Damon and her history together.

Brodie smiled back at her, but sighed, I have a hard time seeing that... He didn't voice it, not wanting to upset her even more, "I'm sure he can be at times... But I feel sorry for him... living in the past this long, it's rather sad."
He sighed again, standing he looked down at his mother tombstone, now covered with anything that had to do with Taylor. He put a protection spell over it as one more tear managed to slip. His shoulders sunk as he apparated back to the mansion and into his room, it looked strangely empty now... All his poems about Taylor gone, the blue rose, any pictures of her and him together gone and gone... Anything that would remind him of her... buried and laying in peace like it should have. He laid down on his bed, and turned on his radio, he growled as 'Broken Road came on the radio but didn't bother to change it, he just covered his ears until it stopped, not realizing his window was right about where Taylor and her fiance were standing and she could probably hear it.

Taylor was about to say something when their... when 'Broken Road' started to play. She buried her face in Brodie's chest and started to cry. After a few moments, she looked up at him, "Let's go. I can't take this." Within seconds, she was on her knees, still crying.

In the middle of the song he grew sick of it and quite literally threw the stupid thing against the wall, which made a rather loud crash, I'm not in the mood...
Brodie looked at her, "Hey, hey, hey..." He bent down picking her up, "My love, calm down." He sighed, carrying her back into the house, sitting her down on the couch, "I hate to see you like this."

Tay curled up and buried her head in his chest. Her hand was gripping his shirt and she calmed down. After a few moments, her grip loosen and she looked into his eyes, "Sorry..."

He winced hearing the crash and abrupt end of the song that had been playing, Dude has anger problems... Brodie looked at her and kissed her lightly, "My love, you've done nothing wrong... He's managed to hurt you more today than I think I've seen... well, ever. Come on... let's get going, I'm sure your friends are waiting for us."

Tay wiped her tears away and kissed him back. "I don t feel like going out and celebrating... why dont I just meet you at my place or even yours and you go out and have fun?" She sighed and stood up.

He sighed, but nodded, "Of course my love," He flicked his wand and was gone.
Damon sighed, going over to his cabinete he pulled out an anti-love potion. The final step to ending this, it wouldn't make him hate her... Just not love her anymore. He drank the potion quickly, his mind becoming foggy, but he didn't mind, at least his body wasn't acting as if it was about to die of heartache anymore... He walked down the steps and went into the kitchen, not noticing Taylor still standing there, normally he would've... but the potion put an end to that.

Tay's eyes widen as he disappeared. What kinda of fiance leaves when the other is upset! Taylor turned and saw Damon. She was too upset to apparate, "Damon, where is the nearest fireplace?" Tears were falling from Brodie's leaving.

He looked back at her, his eyes glazed over very clearly in gray, a clear sign of the potion he'd taken, "Right down that hallway... Second door on the right..." He pointed at a hall to the right of him.

"Goodbye..." He looked after as she left, before going back to the kitchen, sighing "I wish you were here Mom..." He looked at the large framed picture he had of him and his parents. He'd even wished to see his dad... maybe he'd understand.

Puck apperated into the kitchen and went for a cup of tea. "Hey, son." He didnt bother asking for a cup, just started making it.

Damon didn't answer him, just stayed hunched over like he was, looking at the photo of them all together. His eyes seemed to get grayer than earlier. He sighed looking down.
