Depressing title for a depressing start to an RPG that will possibly end depressingly.

Many people are aquainted somewhat with the P&P series as it's affectionately come to be known.

This takes place after the RPG "Love, Lust, Life and Death".

Professor Severus Snape has been set to Azkaban for the murder of Darrin Fletcher. He intended to kill the man after he caught him abusing his lover, Marcella Riddle, daughter to the Dark Lord. However, the boy, under the control of Voldemort, defied death and kept returning to life to haunt them.

In the end it was Voldemort who killed Darrin as he heroically fought off the posession of the Dark Lord and died in the process.

But, because Marcella and Darrin were the only people present at this, there is no evidence to suggest Voldemort killed Darrin, other than Marcella's word. So Snape has gone to Azkaban for the original murder of the student.

Darrin came to Hogwarts following the Durmstrang Massacre and it was about this time that he became posessed by lord Voldemort who had learnt of his daughter;s whereabouts, of Snape's double-dealings and of the affair between his daughter and traitorous servant.

The RPG opens in Norway, where Snape and Marcella first met in the RPG "Light met the Dark and Shone". Snape owned a cottage there and was instructed to take care of the girl - keep her safe from her father. In doing so, a bond formed and they grew to love and depend upon each other.

In "Parseltongue and Purebloods" Marcella temporarily took her father's orders and forgot Severus. However, part way through their love was re-united. This was also when Kristi Snape was introduced to the story. In the beginning not many knew of who her father was, but at this point in time, most characters know (apart from those will be relative stranegrs to them). She was a loner and spied on Marcella amongst other students, for her father, who did not want her mingling with them.

Her mother died, somewhat mysteriously and no-one knows exactly how. Snape never was fond of his daughter, he saw it more as his duty to take care of her but throughout the series they have grown closer.

Another character that is present is Nicholas Lestrange, half-brother to Marcella, his mother is bellatrix, his father, Voldemort. At the end of the last RPG he was somewhat dating Kristi and had agreed to move to Norway with his sister and girlfriend.

Kristi, Marcella and Nick are all 18 and have finished school. Under Dumbledore's instruction they must be monitored at all times whilst in Norway. Aurors and Neighbours surround them and, in the beginning, they get on with their lives, each forgetting their horrible pasts. But, eventually, they come back to haunt them when a mass breakout in Azkaban occurs and Snape is taken prisoner by Voldemort. He then uses him to lure Marcella and the others (including the order and Dumbledore) to him, which is when he reveals all he knows about their affair and sets out his plan to punish all who have stod in his path.

Not giving a toss for inappropriateness, Nick grabbed Kristi and kissed her full on the lips. For a slightl second there had thought she might've given into Tonks' shouts.

"Right, now they're gone, there's nothing you can do. So, you bag of hot air, could you please remove yourself from the room. Kristi and I have things to do." he said, taking her hand and leading them up to the attic, a smug grin dancing over his face. As they ascended the steps, he couldn't help but laugh.

"The look on Tonks' face! That was brilliant Kristi! Where did you send them to?"

"Ow.." she mumbled, feeling something pull at her naval and then her head slamming against a rock. Rolling her eyes, she looked up to see very little. The room they appeared to now be in was damp and dark. She touched her head lightly, feeling a little blood pulsating but paid little attention to it. Marcella couldn't help but grin. "That was hysterical."

Tonks watched as Nick took Kristi and pushed past her, heading for the attic. 'Oh no you don't,' she muttered, feeling her anger building. Following them, she pointed her wand, muttering, 'Mobilus corpus,' smiling as the two went rigid and guiding them back to the room.

'You two are doing nothing without explaining it first,' she muttered, her eyes flashing on the two. She released the charm, quickly shooting ropes to bind them where they were while she considered what to do. Looking around to the others, she wondered if they might have some miraclous solution.

Escaping tight situations, unnoticed, was his speciality.. and all this drama and nonsense called for his expertise. He needed a drink anyways. Silently, he slipped away and off to the kitchen. A woman was in there though, blowing his drink idea. Sighing, he slipped out the back and out on the porch. If he couldn't have a drink, he'd light up a cigar. Leaning against the railings, he blew smoke rings and observed the surroundings of this cottage.. He could still hear the ruckus from upstairs and shook his head, wondering if everyday was as dramatic as today..

Kristi followed Nick up the attic stairs and was about to respond when she suddenly felt herself go rigid. She cursed herself, mentally, for having turned her back when she knew the three minders would be furious with what she had done. She and Nick were floated back to the room, released from the jinx but, then immediately bound. "We were going to the attic, not that it's any of your business. Besides, what mischief are we going to get up to without our wands?" Kristi sneered.

Before he could question his daughter, Snape felt the familiar sensation of portkey transport. He arrived somewhere dark and wondered where, in Merlin's name, she'd sent them. After his eyes adjusted to the dim light, he looked over at Marcella and lit his wand tip. He pressed a couple of fingers to her head where she was bleeding and used his sleeve to try and staunch the flow. "That was rash and uncalled for. We were evenly matched and could have all gotten away. Now she remains with them and I doubt she'll ever manage to get away from them," he said as he worked on caring for Marcella's wound. But, when he finished and looked down into her eyes, his anger dissipated and wrapped his arms around her, pressing her head to his shoulder.

"Kristi's right." fumed Nick, trying his best to fight against the tight cords wrapped around them. "We can't do anything now, thanks to you!"

"I wonder where Kristi gets that from..." she muttered, leaning onto him, touching her head every so often. "Certainly not you. But you must admit, it's pretty selfless. I'd even say it's a first for Kristi who, up until now, has been completely against the idea of us being together."

Wrapping her arms around his waist, she mumbled, "What should we do now? Where does Dumbledore fit in with all this? Surely he knows so then why wasn't hethere to defend us, to defend me?"

"Her mother was a Gryffindor," Snape said, as if that explained everything. "As for what we do now, we'll need to get out of here. We're in the forest behind the cottage if I'm not mistaken. We need to find somewhere to hide that is a bit more comfortable. I won't have you catching your death from a mere preventable illness. No one knows what goes on in that man's mind so, we'll have to assume Dumbledore will not be providing any aid."

"So you two were the romeo and juliet of your day?" She nodded, "But where? And Dumbledore must know what we've done. He knows those sorts of things, he always does so why wouldn't he help us?" she asked, knowing she sounded hysterical. "Besides, I don't think I can walk anywhere, I'm far too exhausted."

"I don't know what Dumbledore is thinking, I don't think anyone ever does so it's best not to try and figure it out. He'll do what he wants when he wants and he'll let us flounder about guessing his intentions in the meantime."

Snape walked to the entrance and charmed some nearby bushes so that they hid it from view. "We can probably rest here safely for tonight but, we'll need to move by morning."

Tonks turned back as the two complained. 'Get used to it,' she said, smirking grimly. 'After this little debaucle, unless Dumbledore himself tells me otherwise, you are going to stay under lock and key.' She sighed, rubbing her head, and trying to figure out what was going on. Snape had a point. Why had Dumbledore not done anything to stop the escape. Surely he knew. She shook her head, droping her eyes, and looking unseeing at the kids. Angry as she was with Snape for being so foolish, she was genuinly worried. Voldemort was looking for him no doubt, especially considering the evidance at his trial, not to mention the fact that he had some connection to Marcella that Tonks didn't fully understand. If they wern't found soon...

"So, in short, he's rather annoying at times." She smiled shortly and watched as he sealed the entrance. "I really shouldn't have done this, should I?" she asked quietly, her voice no louder than a mouse. "I'm so selfish."

"What use are we to you, if we're locked up?" he bartered. "Even if we knew anything about where they've gone, even though we don't, we wouldn't tell you now anyway because of your extreme lack of tact. You're only hindering yourself."

She smirked, supressing laughter as Nick spoke, waking her from her thoughts. 'What use are you to me loose Nick? Or Kristi for that matter. I can't trust either of you to not do something stupid. Letting you two loose would be the hinderance.'

She looked speculatively at the two. Kristi knew where she'd sent the two, but chances are they had already moved on. Still, if she left the two alone for a while, Kristi might tell Nick, and then, well, she'd have a better chance of getting the information from Nick than Kristi.

Snape stepped beside Marcella and moved her to a corner of the cave where there appeared to be some bedding. After sitting her down and settling beside her he said, "No, you shouldn't have done what you did and yes, it was selfish but, neither should I have accepted. We will deal withe consequences, whatever they turn out to be but, dwelling on our past stupidities isn't going to improve our situation any."

Kristi resented being called stupid. She hadn't done anything stupid. Rash, maybe; stupid, no. "So, you plan on keeping us tied up. It'll be a lot of work feeding us and taking us to the bathroom all the time, won't it? Or were you planning on letting us starve and soil ourselves?" she asked.

He raised an eyebrow at her. "At least loose we'd be out of your hair, dear." he muttered, sarcastically.

"So I was stupid then..." she mumbled to herself, head leant against the wall of the cave. "Why do I feel like I'm the silly kid again and your the protector?" She snorted as she cried.

"Because silly kids act rashly. Though, as your protector, I should never have let you leave with me," he said, his eyes begining to close. He was exhausted from the day's events which were more excitement than he'd had in months. But, he had things to do. "We need to get you something to eat," he said.

She gave Nick a quick glance, her eyebrow raised, before turning to Kristi. 'I'm hardly that bad,' she replied. Thinking for a moment, a smirk crept across her lips. A wave of her wand, and a small chamberpot appeared, and with it a screen. Placing it in the corner, she turned back to the two. 'For emergencies,' she explained. 'Now, this room should be plenty big for the two of you for the moment. I'll drop you up some food, and we can work out toilet trips and whatnot later.'

She walked towards the door, indicating that the others should move out into the hallway. She turned at the door, waving her wand at the pair. 'There you go. Have fun,' she said, releasing their bonds and sealing off the room. It was a handy spell she had learned a few years back for containing prisoners. She turned to face the others, but stoped, a smirk spreading across her face. 'We can't be allowing that,' she murmured, remembering who it was she had just locked together in the room. She thought for a moment before giving her wand a complicated swish. There, she thought. That would most certainly keep their clothes on. She grinned, wishing she could see the look on Nick's face should the occasion arise.

Poppy timed the mixture, pouring the hot bubbling mixture into a large mug she had found in the press. The others were back, she thought, having heard noises from upstairs. It was just as well, she mused, smiling. Sirius was hardly her choice for a minder. She took the steaming mug, heading up the stairs, stoping in surprise to find them all standing in the hallway.

'Well now,' she began goodnaturedly before spotting Remus. 'And just what do you think you're doing out of bed?' she asked severly, her face forming into its usual exasperation. She moved towards the man, motioning with her hands to shoo him back to bed.

'And you two,' she said, turning on Tonks and Sirius. 'How could you let him out of bed. You just can't trust anyone these days,' she muttered, shooing Remus further into his room. 'If you want something done properly, you just have top do it yourself.' She shook her head, advancing forward. 'Into that bed now mister.'

Sirius watched helplessly as Tonks bound Nick and Kristie up and locked them in her room. What Kristie had done was very foolish, but he was grateful Snape and Marcella had escaped. He watched Tonks head downstairs when he was face to face with Madame Pomfrey again. "Now, Poppy, you know I've never been able to tell Remus what to do." He smiled sheepishly at her and helped Remus back to bed. While Poppy fussed over Remus, Sirius walked back into the hall. Kristie's actions had been rash, but they did buy them some time. How much he didn't know, and why were Nick and Kristie heading for the attic when they first got back. What could be so important up there that it couldn't wait? Sirius knew he needed to talk to Nick and Kristie and find out what happened at the prison. He also needed to know if Marcella was alright where she had sent them. While everyone else was preoccupied, Sirius unsealed the door and went into Kristie's room. "I know you don't like me, but you have to understand. I promised your mother I would always watch over you, and I intend to keep my word. You have to tell me everything that happened at the prison, and I need to know is Marcella safe where you sent her?"

(Plus, NOT A CHANCE Remus would have just gone back to bed! You are delusional! Should edit that part riiiiight away - and should stop playing for Remus ~_^)

Spend some time, that they could give them, but not going anywhere. He had been already plain on that. And both Severus and Marcella knew it. Encarcelling, wrong, justice. All words that caused more pain on Remus that they could ever imagine. His wand never left its position, pointing at the two running lovers. Tonks' words were the only source of comfort and sense he was perceiving, and he was glad for it. It only pained him that they were so few, that no one else would see it. It was because of that maybe that Sirius threats took him so much by surprise. For a second as Kristie moved forwards, Remus, in his haste, thought he was going to stun her out of the way before he could realize and restrain himself... and the tension grew and he just was sure he couldn't allow them out. It was because of his hesitation that they managed to get out, curse his poor nerves.

It was probably not the best moment Poppy had decided to step in. Severus and Marcella had disappeared in front of his eyes, Remus could only watch hopelessly, and he depairing thought of what made it all was giving Remus much more than a headache.

It was late and even in the chaos around, it felt completely empty and silent. Remus eyes rested on the floor as his own wand lowered. He couldn't tell if he regretted not hexing Snape - he surely should have. No, that was not what he was feeling. Not remorse. When the nurse choose to push him to the room, Remus felt the first tug rather as a painful kick to reality. Suddenly irritated, he managed into balance and marked his space, forcing himself out of the nurse's grasp quite rudely. "Not now," he said, his voice calm but his eyes showing stress and anger.

Suddenly he moved to find parchment at his room, knowing of only a way to reach them. He returned with a floating quill doing the writing while he put a hand on Tonks' shoulder and dragged her to the side and exchanging a look with Sirius.

"I'm not giving up," he said simply turning to Tonks. "You are an auror so you must know how to track a portkey, right?" he asked with a very serious, almost angry expression. He took the floating message with some fury in his fist, ready to be sent and maybe, followed. Severus was too much in a rush to put the necessary charms to be untrackable.

Kristi sighed and fell back on the bed, closing her eyes. At least she could move now but, a chamber pot? That was ridiculous. Tonks was dumbfounded as Remus dragged her to the attic, wanting to laugh aloud at the absurdity of his actions, not to mention the look of fury on the nurses face. Clearly she wasn't used to having her orders dissobeyed.

Finally Tonks came to herself, knocking her arm from the mans grasp, and truning him against the wall to stop him. Holding him firmly against the wall, she looked into his face, speaking very calmly and clearly. 'No, Remus, a portkey trace requires resources that I don't have at my disposal. Secondly if you think an owl will reach them, you are very much mistaken. Calm down and think for Merlin's sake man.'

She paused for a moment, looking at him sternly, hoping her words would calm him down. Continuing before he could interupt, 'If it was as simple as sending an owl, why wouldn't the ministry have caught Sirius like that. Would have saved us alot of bother. Severus will have prevented that approach already.'

She let her hand fall. 'I have a plan, and provided we just all calm down, it should work. First off, Nick is going to tell me where Kristi sent those two. After Kristi tells him that is.' She looked up at the man, a spark of anger flaring behind her eyes. Grown men shouldn't be so quick to act without thinking. Sirius she could excuse, he never was much of a strategist, but Remus she had expected more from. 'That is unless we all keep tripping over ourselves to rush to action. Don't you see Remus,' her voice becoming more gentle, 'there's no point. Severus will be using his cunning right about now. If we ever hope to find them, then we must do the same.'

She smiled, standing up and limping over to where he stood toward the entrance of the cave which was now entirely covered with green growth. "So really, this is all your fault," she whispered, in a teasing manner. "After all, as the responsible adult, you should've refused my offer, told me no. But you didn't and do you know what that tells me, above everything else? That you've been thinking about the same thing as I have, for months on end. That thing is escaping. You wanted to do it but you couldn't see how and now I've given you a way you don't seem appreciative. I understand I've probably landed us in more trouble than we've ever both been in, in our whole entire lives, combined and multiplied ten times over but isn't it worth it? Isn't it worth it just for these short private moments?" she asked, wrapping her arms around him from behind, partly cringing for she sounded exactly like a hopeless romantic. "Right now, I'm so excited, I feel like I couldn't eat a thing. I'm just happy being here. ight now, I don't even think I'd care if we were caught so long as it was together rather than apart."

Nick rolled onto his side, fist shoved in his mouth trying to suppress his laughter. It was true that the situation was tense, dangerous, serious but it was also extremely hysterical. Wiping tears from his eyes, he spluttered, "I really don't see why anyone didn't see this coming! Honestly! Maybe it's because you all don't know my sister the way I do but c'mon," he said, now talking to Sirius more than anything, "Did you think she'd stay cooped up in here with you trying to bed her, for the rest of her life? Get real Black. She didn't want you and she never will. Trust Kristi when she says they're safe, otherwise you'll have me to answer to." His eyes flickered to Kristi and he took her hand. "I won't have you calling my girlfriend a liar."

She knew it was childish but, she just couldn't help herself. After Nick took her hand and told off Black she looked over at the man and stuck out her tongue.

Snape turned in Marcella's embrace and brushed a few stray hairs back from her face before speaking. "If only we are caught after I've had some time alone with you. And I am grateful to be free of that cell and to be with you however, I fear for your safety, whether you care about it or not. Now, perhaps we should make the most of this precious time we have together now..."

He laughed once again as Kristi stuck her tongue out and wrapped an arm around her shoulders, grinning as he made a rude one-fingered gesture at Black. "Now, if you'll excuse us, my girlfriend and I have business we need to attend to. Unless you make a habit out of perving. Then again, that wouldn't surprise me. Hitting on a pregnant teenage girl....you can't sink much lower than that..."

"Don't." she said, quietly. "I'm not a child anymore. I might've been so when you first met me but I'm not anymore. I've been through too much and seen too many things to remain an innocent young thing. I care about my safety, of course I do, but there's nowhere I could feel safer right now. I'm more scared of the damage I could do myself rather than what damage my father, the ministry or whoever else may be able to do to me."

A grin overcame her face. "Nothing has changed in that respect then," she beamed, lifting her face slightly, kissing him on the chin lightly.
