Depressing title for a depressing start to an RPG that will possibly end depressingly.

Many people are aquainted somewhat with the P&P series as it's affectionately come to be known.

This takes place after the RPG "Love, Lust, Life and Death".

Professor Severus Snape has been set to Azkaban for the murder of Darrin Fletcher. He intended to kill the man after he caught him abusing his lover, Marcella Riddle, daughter to the Dark Lord. However, the boy, under the control of Voldemort, defied death and kept returning to life to haunt them.

In the end it was Voldemort who killed Darrin as he heroically fought off the posession of the Dark Lord and died in the process.

But, because Marcella and Darrin were the only people present at this, there is no evidence to suggest Voldemort killed Darrin, other than Marcella's word. So Snape has gone to Azkaban for the original murder of the student.

Darrin came to Hogwarts following the Durmstrang Massacre and it was about this time that he became posessed by lord Voldemort who had learnt of his daughter;s whereabouts, of Snape's double-dealings and of the affair between his daughter and traitorous servant.

The RPG opens in Norway, where Snape and Marcella first met in the RPG "Light met the Dark and Shone". Snape owned a cottage there and was instructed to take care of the girl - keep her safe from her father. In doing so, a bond formed and they grew to love and depend upon each other.

In "Parseltongue and Purebloods" Marcella temporarily took her father's orders and forgot Severus. However, part way through their love was re-united. This was also when Kristi Snape was introduced to the story. In the beginning not many knew of who her father was, but at this point in time, most characters know (apart from those will be relative stranegrs to them). She was a loner and spied on Marcella amongst other students, for her father, who did not want her mingling with them.

Her mother died, somewhat mysteriously and no-one knows exactly how. Snape never was fond of his daughter, he saw it more as his duty to take care of her but throughout the series they have grown closer.

Another character that is present is Nicholas Lestrange, half-brother to Marcella, his mother is bellatrix, his father, Voldemort. At the end of the last RPG he was somewhat dating Kristi and had agreed to move to Norway with his sister and girlfriend.

Kristi, Marcella and Nick are all 18 and have finished school. Under Dumbledore's instruction they must be monitored at all times whilst in Norway. Aurors and Neighbours surround them and, in the beginning, they get on with their lives, each forgetting their horrible pasts. But, eventually, they come back to haunt them when a mass breakout in Azkaban occurs and Snape is taken prisoner by Voldemort. He then uses him to lure Marcella and the others (including the order and Dumbledore) to him, which is when he reveals all he knows about their affair and sets out his plan to punish all who have stod in his path.

Tonks righted herself relieved, holding her glass out, a rocking it from side to side. 'Fill me up?' she said grinning. While she waited, she thought over his words. 'Now why,' she began slowly, a glint playing in her eyes, 'would you expect me to be married?' Very few order members were attached, to the best of her knowledge. It just wasn't a profession that lent itself to family life. Besides that, Tonks hardly saw herself as the family type. She couldn't remember one time that anyone had ever evan so much as mentioned it before.

"Isn't it obvious?" he asked, filling her glass a little too full, it pouring over the sides. "Sorry.." he muttered, refilling his own glass, though he knew he shouldn't. "You just.. have this vibe about you. I thought you'd be taken. ANd you're so good with those kids you have locked up.. and you're pretty. All the pretty ones are usually taken."

Sunny nodded and stared at Tonks. He had had too much to drink, and that's all there was to it. He was saying everything that came to mind, and even though he knew he'd regret that in the morning, he still said it. "Not that I'm disappointed.."

Tonks giggled as he responded, her cheeks colouring slightly. She took a quick gulp of her drink, settling back into her chair. She knew she was getting well tipsy, this firewhiskey stronger than what she was used to. But Sunny, he was drunk. 'You Sunny,' she said, grining, taking another sip of her drink, 'are drunk.' She nodded her head. 'Only a drunk man would say such things.' She grinned, taking another sip, and stretching in the chair. Slipping her shoes off to reveal stripey stockings, she wiggled her toes in the warmth from the fire.

"I know. I'm trying to play it off though. Am I really that bad?" he asked, laughing and shaking his head at himself. Running a hand through his hair he said, "Only one way to tell." Sunny grabbed ahold of the arm of the couch and hoisted himself to his feet, in any way but graceful. He stood there swaying and minute or two, trying to get his bearings. After a few more blinks, he held his arms out at his side and tried walking in a straight line towards Tonks. It was quite the spectacle, him swaying and waving his arms and walking completely zig-zagged. He stopped just in front of her and looked down at her, the shadows of the fire dancing on her face. "But I meant what I said.."

She listened to Black and stood staring out the small bathroom window, thinking about it for a little while. After some deliberation she turned back to Black and nodded. "Alright, take me to the attic," she said and followed him up.

When they reached the top of the stairs, she headed for the spot her father had told her about. Kristi got on her hands and knees and began feeling around for the loose floorboard. Finally finding it, she pulled up on it and found the box. She withdrew it from the hole and replaced the floorboard. She stood, her pants now completely covered in dust. "Okay, now I'm ready to go back to the room... Unless you have something else for us to do."

'Only compared to sober people,' she laughed, taking another sip of her drink as he swayed accross the floor to her. She looked up at him as he came to a stop in front of her. 'Did you now?' she said slowly, letting her eyes roam over his face. The firelight moved over his face, making shadows accross his face. She couldn't deny it. The man was of great interest, not least because he seemed interested in her. He reminded her of the guys she worked with, not afraid to be forward in their interest. She smirked, looking away for a moment, before returning his gaze, an eyebrow raised.

"I did..,"he said with a crafty grin. Sunny leaned over and propped himself on her chair, not wanting to fall in the floor just yet. "You've had quite a few yourself, missy. Let's see how you do on the line test." Throwing all his inhibitions in the wind, Sunny reached his hands down and grabbed both of hers, feeling that samd softness from before, and pulled her to her feet. "Go ahead..," he urged.

'Alright,' she said nodding, holding her head high and grinning. 'Where's this line then?' She knew she was getting tipsy, but she wasn't near as bad as him. This should be a piece of cake. She held on to his hand, a finger playing over the roughness. Such interesting hands, she mused, looking about the floor until she spotted what she wanted.

Pointing to the straight line in the pattern, she dropped his hand, giving him a smirk before moving off. She made quite good progress, swaying quite a bit, but by and large staying on the line. She reached the end, turning, a triumphant smile on her face. She she did, she lost her balance, leaning over to one side. In almost slow motion, she flayed about, trying to recatch her balance before disapearing in a clatter behind a chair.

Sirius escorted Kristie up to the attic, stood in the corner, and watched her search the floor for something. She finally found a loose floor board and removed it. Kristie then took out an old looking box and held it close to her like it was her most prized pocession. From the looks of it the box had been hidden under that floor board for many years. She then announced she was ready to go downstairs. "No, I don't have anything planned. May I ask what's in the box? Considering your behavior over the last few hours, I should search it before I let you have it with you in your room. Tonks will be furious with me if you have another unauthorized portkey in there." Sirius holds out his hand hoping Kristie will hand him the box without too much of a fight.

"I haven't the slightest idea what is inside this box. You're welcome to search it... If you can get it open," she smirked, holding the box out, remembering that her father had told her that the box was charmed so that only she would be able to get it open.

Sirius examines the outside of the box closely. He removes the many years of dust and cobwebs to discover a tarnished plate on top of the wooden box. He removes a cloth from his pocket and rubs the plate. The initial FKP are barely visible. Sirius figures the box must have belonged to Faith and hands it back to Kristie without trying to open it. "I think it's safe for you to have this. I hope you learns some more about your mother from the items she left for you. Are you ready to go?"

She was shocked when Black handed the box back to her without even trying to open it and she carefully took it back from him. "Thank you," she said, feeling almost as if she should apologize to him for something. "Yeah, I guess I'm ready to go back." She sighed and walked over to the attic stairs.

Sirius escorted Kristie back downstair to her room. "You know anytime you want to talk about your mother, just let me know. She and I were good friends." He unseals the door and opens it for her. Sirius notices Nick sitting alone on the bed. "You know I really do hope Marcella and your father are alright where ever they are, but I must warn you not to try anything like that again. Right now they would be better off in Azkaban Prison then on the run. I'm sure Voldemort knows your father has escape and will be looking for him. You really didn't do them a favor when you helped them escape. Voldemort won't hesitate to kill them after he finished having fun with them. I'm going to leave you with Nick. He looks like he could use a friend right now."

"You're wrong about Marcella and Snape. They may not be alive or free for very long but, they deserve to have a little time with one another, no matter how short. It was their choice, not mine and I can live with that," she said, looking over at Nick and smiling before turning back to Black and holding out her hand in a gesture of truce. "I may take you up on your offer sometime and I'll try not to continue to hold my father's grudges against you."

Sirius takes Kristie's hand and kisses it. He can't help but enjoy the gagging sound Nick makes while he does it. "I can't blame your father wanting some time alone with Marcella. I hope it improves her spirits. She has alot to live for, and she needs to see that. I would enjoy spending some time with you any time you want to. Of course I guess we'll have to clear it with Tonks and that new man Dumbledore sent. He seems to be taking a fancy to Tonks. I hope he's not just using her. She can be a little naive when it comes to men. Don't tell her I said that."

Kristi was shecked when Black kissed her hand and raised an eyebrow at his comment about spending time with her. "Somehow I don't think Tonks is all that naive when it comes to men... Unless you're speaking from experience?" she asked, eyeing him.

"Oh!!" Sunny exclaimed as Tonks disappeared behind the chair, the plop telling him she had hit quite hard. Quickly as his tipsy legs would carry him he ran to her side. "Don't get up.. don't get up..," Sunny, very ungracefully, Sunny dropped to his knees. "I'll join you instead." His head was so light, but somehow he wedged himself between her and the chair, resting on the rug. "This is better anyways.."

Tonks rubbed her head, slightly dazed from her fall. But before she could move to get up, Sunny had plonked himself down beside her, wedged between her and the chair. She giggled, a mischevious glint in her eye. 'Ah now Sunny,' she said, trying to keep a straight face. 'There can be no escape for you. I have you my friend, right where I want you, powerless against me.' She leaned closer, letting a hand rest on his chest, smirking down at him.

Kristi looked down in slight embarassment. "No, I didn't know. Sorry, I didn't mean to imply..." she said, looking down at the box for a little while before looking back up at Black. "Thanks for the trip to the restroom and the attic, I appreciate it. But, do you think it would be possible to get Tonks to take the charm off so that I can go when I have to go instead of having to wait around for one of you to decide it's time to let us out?"

Sirius smiled at Kristie's predicament. He knew exactly why Tonks had placed that spell on them. "I'll see what I can do. It may mean seperating Nick and you since Tonks didn't exactly want you'll to enjoy you'll imprisonment. I think I can make her see reason." Sirius looks over at Nick sitting on the bed. "And would you mind taking it a little easier on Nick in the future. Underneath that suave exterior he a pretty nice guy. Reminds me of myself at that age."

Kristi raised an eyebrow at his comment about Nick. "I didn't think you'd approve of him, either. I am taking it easy on him. If you have to separate us in order to take off the charm, don't bother.... Just come and check on us a little more often because it gets very uncomfortable," she replied, before stepping into the room and nodding for him to close the door. "Thanks."

I kind of figured you'd want it that way. I'm not sure if I approve of Nick or not, and as you said it's not my place to pass judgement on your boyfriends. You may not realize it, Kristie, but in many ways you are alot like your mother. She never had had a serious relationship before your father. Things started off kind of ackward there too. Your a beautifuly, intellegent girl with alot to offer. Don't settle for the first thing that comes along. And by the way you would have hated working at the Ministry of Magic. It's full of stuffy old bureaucrats."

"I appreciate the sentiment but, I've never exactly attracted the attention of the young men. And Nick isn't the first guy to come along, he's the second. I know what I'm doing and what I want. I may not have enjoyed the bureaucracy but, I would have been doing something worthwhile, something I love. And you don't have to suck up to me, I'm willing to give you a second chance," she said, shutting the door herself and leaning against it, clutching the prized box to her chest and closing her eyes.

Sirius decided he was never going to understand women. He was just trying to be nice and he's accused of trying to suck up to her. Sirius places the sealing charm back on the door and heads downstairs. He goes into the living room and finds Tonks and the new guy on the floor with an empty bottle of firewhiskey lying between them. "I see I've missed the party."
