Depressing title for a depressing start to an RPG that will possibly end depressingly.

Many people are aquainted somewhat with the P&P series as it's affectionately come to be known.

This takes place after the RPG "Love, Lust, Life and Death".

Professor Severus Snape has been set to Azkaban for the murder of Darrin Fletcher. He intended to kill the man after he caught him abusing his lover, Marcella Riddle, daughter to the Dark Lord. However, the boy, under the control of Voldemort, defied death and kept returning to life to haunt them.

In the end it was Voldemort who killed Darrin as he heroically fought off the posession of the Dark Lord and died in the process.

But, because Marcella and Darrin were the only people present at this, there is no evidence to suggest Voldemort killed Darrin, other than Marcella's word. So Snape has gone to Azkaban for the original murder of the student.

Darrin came to Hogwarts following the Durmstrang Massacre and it was about this time that he became posessed by lord Voldemort who had learnt of his daughter;s whereabouts, of Snape's double-dealings and of the affair between his daughter and traitorous servant.

The RPG opens in Norway, where Snape and Marcella first met in the RPG "Light met the Dark and Shone". Snape owned a cottage there and was instructed to take care of the girl - keep her safe from her father. In doing so, a bond formed and they grew to love and depend upon each other.

In "Parseltongue and Purebloods" Marcella temporarily took her father's orders and forgot Severus. However, part way through their love was re-united. This was also when Kristi Snape was introduced to the story. In the beginning not many knew of who her father was, but at this point in time, most characters know (apart from those will be relative stranegrs to them). She was a loner and spied on Marcella amongst other students, for her father, who did not want her mingling with them.

Her mother died, somewhat mysteriously and no-one knows exactly how. Snape never was fond of his daughter, he saw it more as his duty to take care of her but throughout the series they have grown closer.

Another character that is present is Nicholas Lestrange, half-brother to Marcella, his mother is bellatrix, his father, Voldemort. At the end of the last RPG he was somewhat dating Kristi and had agreed to move to Norway with his sister and girlfriend.

Kristi, Marcella and Nick are all 18 and have finished school. Under Dumbledore's instruction they must be monitored at all times whilst in Norway. Aurors and Neighbours surround them and, in the beginning, they get on with their lives, each forgetting their horrible pasts. But, eventually, they come back to haunt them when a mass breakout in Azkaban occurs and Snape is taken prisoner by Voldemort. He then uses him to lure Marcella and the others (including the order and Dumbledore) to him, which is when he reveals all he knows about their affair and sets out his plan to punish all who have stod in his path.

Note

While subplots are a nice thing, the plot MUST NOT drift from it's set course. The RP focuses on Kristi and Marcella mainly as it is their lives that the story tells, the others just play a part in it.

Only apply to be a character if you can RP often, in great detail, with punctuation and all that being correct and if you think you can create character depth.

Other than that, I want it to be fun and I want people to take initiatives. If anyone has any major plot ideas, PM me and we'll see if we can put it in. For the first half of the RP it is JUST life in Norway, reflecting on the past, meeting new people and being guarded by the Order.

Reading the roleplays might help but probably not much namely because Sirius really doesn't know the details/depth of the Snape/Marcella relationship and that might affect the way you RP.

I've summarised it so you don't have to plough through them (on the first post) but I think that's pretty much all you need to know for the time being.

Kris: If you want to check out: Twist of Fate, in the restricted section, it's not nearly complete, but it's the background on Snape and Kristi's mother. Kristi was never told who her mother was or anything about her past. She was given over to Snape's care as an infant.

Right. The delay has been long enough. We'll start.

I'll warn new RPers first off that if you're not seen to be as active as you should be, we will be forced to you replace you (nothing personal).

The RP is going to open as the aurors escort Nick, Kristi & Marcella to Norway and Snape's cottage.

There are a number of things that must be remembered.

Everyone knows who Kristi's father is.
Sirius has never met Kristi, Marcella or Nick so he is very wary of all of them (due to being in Azkaban, he did not know them, only their parents.)
Lupin and all the other aurors do know the kids but are also wary of them.
Nick and Marcella are half-brother/sister although more about their past relationship will be revealed in the process of this RP.
Snape is Azkaban for 3/4 of it although Snape, who has the potion Marcella brewed, may be able to communicate through legilimens.
At some point there will be a mass breakout in Azkaban and this will make the kids wants to go back to britain - they must be forced to stay for their safety.
The escaped DE's take Snape as hostage (for what he did to Voldemot's daughter and for betraying the Dark Lord - Voldemort confronts/tortures him)and unwittingly Marcella is lured to them through the need to want to save Snape, along with Kristi who sees her going and goes along too.
The others when seeing they're missing try to catch up with them but are too late.
Snape,Kristi and marce end up in a cell together and it is up to the aurors and Nick to save them. Voldemort and Dumbledore make big appearances here.
After the battle is over either won or lost Snape must go back under trial taking into consideration his help in re-capturing DE's (if they won that is). If they lose there may be deaths. The end is undecided.

So, I shall start and please everyone make an effort to start aswell in this week at the very least!

It was no use. Looking back. Everytime she did so, the sting that she had felt creeping its ugly hand upon her throat, would rise again, threatening to suffocate her. They had come, not long after Snape had rescued her. Without heart or feeling, they took him away. They. Took. Him. Away. And this time, he was not coming back. She knew these feelings, of resentment, of regret, were present in her expressions. If only she had not loved, maybe this might not have happened. She sighed. Deeply. It hurt. It really did. It hurt.

He could see her crying, on the inside and felt almost petrified at the sight of her pain. He had requested to share a carriage with her, alone. She needed him. She needed anyone, true but he thought he should, at least out of guilt, make up for all the times that he wasn't there. His eyes flickered up at hers, she looked back, eyes wide, hopeless. He her hand lay limply on the sill, her skin looked dead. He could not remember the last time he had seen her eat. leep. Smile. Live. She was dead inside. Her skin, it felt cold at the touch of his hand against her cheek. Abruptly, he got up and sat next to her, cupping her face, pressing his tips to her pores, wanting nothing more than to transfer his heat to her. He was scared that if he didnt, she would die. And she couldn't die. Not a second time. He had allowed her to die on the inside, he could not allow it to happen on the out.

Kristi sat as close to the wall of the carriage as she could possibly get. Her arms were crossed as she stared out the window, her face, expressionless. She could feel the eyes of the other members of the carriage on her. She didn't like it. They all knew who she was and they were all unsure about her. They looked at her with suspicious eyes; as if she were some sort of time bomb about to go off at any moment.

She didn't want to be here. She didn't want to go back to that house. She just wanted to turn back time, and not with just a time turner, she wanted to completely turn it back to two years ago and start it over again. Maybe Marcella never would have come into their lives or, maybe this time, her father wouldn't be stupid enough to get physically and emotionally involved with her. Maybe Kristi could have befriended her and told her about who her father was sooner, before they became attached to one another. Or, maybe she could have somehow prevented Darrin from coming under the control of the Dark Lord. If she just hadn't left him... "You protect me... You push me further from Him, Kristi."

Sirius Black also sits on the same side of the carriage as Kristi. He, too, tries to get as close to the wall as he can and stares out the window watching the countryside go by. "Oh, how I hated traveling this way," he thinks to himself. Since his days in Azkaban Prison, Sirius has always disliked being in confining spaces for too long, and this was going to be a long trip. He begged Dumbledore to let them aparate or use the floo network, but Dumbledors said this was the best way to go. And Dumbldore was always right. How had he ever let Dumbledore talk him in to taking this assignment. Voldemort has taken away eveyone he ever cared about, and here he is babysitting his offspring. Oh, how Sirius loathes Marcella Riddle and Nicholas Lestrange. He watches them sitting across from him. Nicholas trying to comfort his sister. Why had he ever agreed to protect them? Then he remembered Kristi. He had promised Faith he would always protect her. Sirius turns and looks at her. Thank heavens she looks like her mother and not her traitorous father. Siruis laughs to himself. Snape is finally where he belongs. "I hope he's enjoying the dementor's company as much as I did," Sirius thinks and a smile comes across his face.

Tonks sat looking out the window of the moving carriage. Turning hers eyes to her arm, she checked the time once again. 5 o'clock. They had been travelling since morning, through winding counryside. The view was opressed by the overcast weather, the clouds grey and low over the passing hills.

Surely we must be almost there. Trust Snape to live in the most isolated place Norway has to offer.
She rolled her eyes and fell back against her seat, resuming her gaze on the landscape.

Moody sitting in the large carriage closed both of his eyes trying to focus on what his mission was. He was aswell, was very confused with the scence and couldn't wait for it to be over. He shifted his body facing towards the door waiting to get out to escort the Kristi, Nick, and Marcella to the Cottage. He tapped his foot sighing while his wondering wiggling eye looked back and forth and Nick and Kristi. His eye begin to go faster and faster till it stopped dead at Kristi and rolled in the back of his head. He smiled as Kristi and Nick was disgusted with the look and leaned back trying to relax as he knew this was a long ride. Something inside him worried that something was going to go bad. He presented himself as relaxed but really stood on his guard having his hand on his wand at the ready.

Still with his eyes closed he stated breathless. "Nice ride don't you think," he question Sirius making a mackory of his statement. "I believe that we are nowhere near there," he said smiling while leaning back trying to find his comfort spot.

Sirius smiles at Moody and Tonks. "I'll never let Dumbledore make the traveling arrangements again, he says, he must have chosen the longest route possible to Snape's hide away." Looking at his watch Sirius says, "it shouldn't be much longer. I'll be happy when we get there too." He then turns his attention to the three young people. Marcella and Nicholas have finally fallen asleep, and Kristie continues to ignore the auroras choosing to stare out the window. Sirius returns to staring out the window as well. He knows they are sitting ducks riding in this carriage. Voldemort's death eaters must know they are moving the children to a safer location and will be on the lookout for them. Sirius still doesn't understand why Dumbledore insisted they travel this way, but he is glad to have Moody and Tonks along for the ride.

She was tired of staring out the window and thinking about that "what ifs." Her father would be furious if he knew what she was thinking. Thinking "what if" was self-indulgent and did nothing but aggravate the emotions even more, clouding one's judgement. Kristi looked over at the man, Sirius Black. her father hated that man with a fiery vengeance. So, how is it that he was one of those chosen for this task? Snape would be furious if he ever found out.

Kristi looked away before she was caught staring. She didn't like catching Black's eyes, something about that man, the way he looked at her, simply unnerved her. Sighing, she leaned down and picked up a book from her bag. There was no use wasting time staring out the window anymore when she could be studying up. She wasn't sure what for as she had already taken her NEWTs and was officially gone from Hogwarts, her seventh year having been completed, despite the fact that her Head of House, her father, had been arrested not long before the end of term. Shaking her head of those self-destructive thoughts, Kristi opened up her advanced potions book and began to read.

Tonks looked up to Sirius as he spoke and smiled but said nothing. This journey was really starting to get to her, and she could only hope the feeling would lift when they arrived.

Looking around the carriage at the faces, just made matters worse. Kristi was sitting almost out of the window, avoiding everyones glances. Sirius was trying to make conversation, that was something, but it was clear no-one wanted to talk.

Tonks resumed her gaze, eying Kristi's reflection against the dark window. So this was Snape's daughter. She still had trouble with the idea that Snape of all people had a daughter. How had he ever gotten close enough to someone? Pondering this, she let her eyes rove over the distant hills.

She didn't even remember falling asleep. But she must've, she realised, as she yawned a little too loudly and awoke. To her horror, her mouth had leaked drool from the corner of her lips to the shoulder of the robe she was wearing.

Feeling this was just another dig from the power above, she groaned, wiped the sleep from her eyes and looked pathetically toward the only other wake body she could see in the carriage. Parting her lips only slightly, she coughed and ventured to talk to him.

Black, she'd heard alot about him, but having a father like she did, she failed to see what was so sensational about his past. Coughing once, she held out a hand and asked, rather miserably, "Got a tissue? I seem to have had an accident."

"Oh!" Sirius says and searches through his robe's pockets for a hankerchief. He hands it to Marcella without saying a word. No matter how hard he tries, Sirius can't stop staring at Kristie. She looks so young and innocent, so beautiful. When he looks deep into her eyes, the years seem to disappear. Gone are the memories of those wasted years in Azkaban Prison, the loss of James and Lily, and Voldemort's reign of terror. He's young again. A student at Hogwarts with his whole future ahead of him. Then he looks at the book she is reading, Magical Herbs and Potions: Grade Seven. Sirius then remembers Kristie is Snape's daughter, too. His mortal enemy, the man responsible for the death of...

Sirius is brought back to reality by the sudden stop of the carriage. Instinctively, Moody pulls out his wand and heads out the door. Sirius would like to follow, but first he must get Tonks off of him. The carriage's sudden stop has caused her to fall over into his lap. It has also woken Nicholas up and amused Marcella. She laughs at his predicement. Sirius motions for them to get quiet and remain in their seats. Then Tonks finally gets up, takes out her wand, and follows Moody into the night. Subborn and pigheaded like her father, Kristie insist on seeing for herself what is going on outside. She gets up and heads for the door. Sirius grabs her hard by her right wrist and pulls her down next to him. He points his wand in her face and gives her a look that let's her know she's not going anywhere.

Kristi did not appreciate being man-handled; especially not by someone who her father distrusted more than anyone. His wand being pointed in her face wasn't helping her mood either. She stared at him with a slight sneer which betrays her parentage. "You can let go, you know," she said, shaking the wrist that was still gripped in Black's hand.

Sirius lets go of Kristie's wrist, but he keeps his wand firmly in her face. "It is my job to see that Miss Riddle, Mr. Lestrange, and yourself are safely delivered to the designated location," he says, "and I would appreciate it if you refrain from trying to put yourself in needless danger. I would hate to have to explain to Professor Dumbledore how you got yourself killed because you needed to step out for a little fresh air." Sirius continued to stare at Miss Snape showing her that he too was proud of his Gryffindor heritage if not his parentage.

Tonks searched the dark night around her for any sign of movement. Hearing the carriage behind her creak, she turned, wand still raised for any sign of danger. Sirius was restraining Kristi, and the two were staring each other down.

So it's started then, she thought. Pity, I was sure we'd get another while out of it.
She walked up to the carriage.
'It's alright guys,' she said, smiling what she hoped was a reassuring smile. 'We're just checking in case, you know, best be sure. So just stay here and we should be going soon. Ok?'
She looked at Sirius for a moment as she turned, then returned to Moody's side.

A few minutes later Moody turned and nodded. 'Best be getting back. We don't want to be staying anywhere too long. Eye's open Tonks.'
They returned to the carriage, wands still gripped and ready.

She crossed her arms and continued to stare at the man after he released her. "You could have just told me not to go out. You didn't have to grab me and you don't need to keep that thing in my face," she said, leaning back in her seat.

Her father would have had a conniption if he could have seen this. Of course, if he was in such a position, this never would have happened. There was no way Snape would ever have let this man in his house. "Would you mind not staring at me?" she asked, feeling rather disturbed as she was unused to such close scrutiny.

Hurriedly, she took the offered tissue and wiped the sides of her mouth, thinking how He wouldn't have wanted her to become a mess simply over him. That was what he never seemed to comprehend. He wasn't simply something she could forget, He had changed her life and continued to do so the longer she knew him. For a second, she began to think traitorous thoughts but quickly corrected herself. It was true that their relationship had brought on suffering, but it had also brought joy, however brief or shortlived it was. It was still there.

Having heard the carriage creek to a halt, she made to exit it, veil and hood disguising her face, when she felt a hand slip into hers.

He watched, amused, as she wiped the saliva from her lips. If he hadn't been so funny to watch, it might've been sensuous.

Awaking from his trance and checking that it was alright to go, Nick slipped his hand into his sisters and led her out, taking Kristi's hand with his free one. He noted Sirius looking at her threateningly and pulled her away from him, throwing a scowl at the ragged man.

Kristi entwined her fingers with Nick, glad that he wsa there. She almost laughed at the look he threw Black but, she was more focused on the door in front of them. It was open and the sitting room was bright with light. The last time she had been here, she had been collecting her things, hoping to go away somewhere. Her father and everyone else thought she was dead and she was going to make a break for it so that Marcella and her father could be together without worrying about how she felt. But, they had shown up and ruined her plans.

The three friends walked hand-in-hand up to the door, not even releasing as they walked through the door, sideways so they would fit. They stood in the room and looked around. Dumbledore must have had it enlarged because it certainly wasn't the cottage for two Kristi was used to. There seemed to be people everywhere. She felt suffocated and longed to slip away to her father's refuge in the basement.

Tonks waitied until the others had entered the house before following, the luggage hovering before her.

She set the trunks down and looked up interested. This was the first time she had been in Snape's house.
