Depressing title for a depressing start to an RPG that will possibly end depressingly.

Many people are aquainted somewhat with the P&P series as it's affectionately come to be known.

This takes place after the RPG "Love, Lust, Life and Death".

Professor Severus Snape has been set to Azkaban for the murder of Darrin Fletcher. He intended to kill the man after he caught him abusing his lover, Marcella Riddle, daughter to the Dark Lord. However, the boy, under the control of Voldemort, defied death and kept returning to life to haunt them.

In the end it was Voldemort who killed Darrin as he heroically fought off the posession of the Dark Lord and died in the process.

But, because Marcella and Darrin were the only people present at this, there is no evidence to suggest Voldemort killed Darrin, other than Marcella's word. So Snape has gone to Azkaban for the original murder of the student.

Darrin came to Hogwarts following the Durmstrang Massacre and it was about this time that he became posessed by lord Voldemort who had learnt of his daughter;s whereabouts, of Snape's double-dealings and of the affair between his daughter and traitorous servant.

The RPG opens in Norway, where Snape and Marcella first met in the RPG "Light met the Dark and Shone". Snape owned a cottage there and was instructed to take care of the girl - keep her safe from her father. In doing so, a bond formed and they grew to love and depend upon each other.

In "Parseltongue and Purebloods" Marcella temporarily took her father's orders and forgot Severus. However, part way through their love was re-united. This was also when Kristi Snape was introduced to the story. In the beginning not many knew of who her father was, but at this point in time, most characters know (apart from those will be relative stranegrs to them). She was a loner and spied on Marcella amongst other students, for her father, who did not want her mingling with them.

Her mother died, somewhat mysteriously and no-one knows exactly how. Snape never was fond of his daughter, he saw it more as his duty to take care of her but throughout the series they have grown closer.

Another character that is present is Nicholas Lestrange, half-brother to Marcella, his mother is bellatrix, his father, Voldemort. At the end of the last RPG he was somewhat dating Kristi and had agreed to move to Norway with his sister and girlfriend.

Kristi, Marcella and Nick are all 18 and have finished school. Under Dumbledore's instruction they must be monitored at all times whilst in Norway. Aurors and Neighbours surround them and, in the beginning, they get on with their lives, each forgetting their horrible pasts. But, eventually, they come back to haunt them when a mass breakout in Azkaban occurs and Snape is taken prisoner by Voldemort. He then uses him to lure Marcella and the others (including the order and Dumbledore) to him, which is when he reveals all he knows about their affair and sets out his plan to punish all who have stod in his path.

Tonks was shocked by Moody's treatment of Nick. But she too wanted to know the answers to his questions. After all, how were they supposed to protect the kids if they didn't know the facts.
What was so important about the plant though? She honestly couldn't see the relevance.

Tonks looked to Kristi, then to Marcella, and finally back to Moody's resolved face, waiting for one of them to answer.

Kristi couldn't believe what was happening, she stood up, took out her wand, and pointed it at Moody. "I think that deserves a stay in Azkaban, don't you?" she sneered. "I would have thought you, of all people, would know that the use of an unforgivable curse on another human is a life sentence. I am not a child, this is my house, and I refuse to answer any of your questions. You are insulting, rude, and completely out of line. You can be sure I'll be owling Dumbledore about this incident but, in the meantime, GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!!!!"

She had gone too far and let her emotions get the better of her but, she just couldn't help it. What right did this man have to come into her father's bedroom and start questioning them as if they were children who had done something wrong? Her father was locked up, Dumbledore thought they were in danger, they were forced to stay in this house with people they didn't even know to guard them, and now she was being insulted and threatened. Why can't they just leave us alone?

Sirius watches as Moody crosses the line. As far as he was concerned, Moody could do what he wanted with the boy, but Sirius wasn't going to allow him to hurt Kristie. "Enough! Finite Incantatum!" Nick falls on the bed next to Marcella. "I don't know what is so bloody important about these potion plants, but it's quite apparent someone has been living in this house when it was suppose to be deserted. It's time you'll fill us in as to what's been going on." Sirius stares at Marcella, Nick, and Kristie waiting for them to answer, but he keeps his wand trained on Moody hoping he won't have to use it.

OOC - Just so you know, there is nothing going on with Nick. He's a genuinely nice person like Marce who had the unfortunate circumstance of being born into a bad family.

Marcella was quite grateful Kristi found the energy to put him in his place because she certainly didn't have enough energy to do so. Scared, she squealed as Nick hit the bed and cupped his face, lifting him onto her lap, feeling his col unconscious cheeks. She nodded in response to Kristi's words and choked, teary-eyed, "I don't think it's appropriate for you to stay much longer. That behaviour is unacceptable. I cant believe you'd assume something suspicious about Nick. Do you really think Dumbledore would've let him come if he thought he'd bring harm to us? No, of course he wouldn't."

Extrememly upset, she coughed and wheezed, obviously still suffering with the aftermath of the suffocation and gently breathed, "Snape and I stayed here. We ran away together just after he attacked Darrin. And, before you jump to conclusions, you'd better listen to the full story. At the time, my father had penetrated my mind, I was on the brink of death. Darrin Fletcher, the arrogant git, was under the influence of Voldemort and strolled into the Hospital Wing, smirking, saying how that saved him from killing me himself. Snape was in the room at the time and he cant be blamed for getting angered. He lashed out and attacked Darrin but he did not murder him. Voldemort put him into a fake death and the ministry wanted to put Snape away for attacking a student. We eventaully got him out on good merit but Darrin shortly returned to haunt us physically and he once again sought to get rid of him and that was what landed him in jail. Trying to rid the world of a posessed, evil person.

Those plants are the way they are because potions was what kept Snape sane when things happened which he could not understand. There's nothing more to it." By now she were crying and could say no more.

Tonks shuffled uneasily from one foot to the other, her grip tightening on her wand. Now what? she thought uneasily.

She didn't want to have to attack Moody, who she was sure would be furious with Sirius' interuption, but her job was to protect the kids, from any danger.

She walked slowly, wand held ready at her side but lowered, over to the bed and turned to face Moody.
'That's not right Moody,' she said, steeling her resolve and fixing her eyes on his. Turning to the girls, she asked, 'Is Nick ok?'

Moody stared trying not to be distracted. There was no words for her to say that could make him move. He looked at her more carefully and walked closer touching the tip of his wand. He patted her on teh shoulder sat down on Snapes bed looking at Marce with a straight face. "I very well know that the house more to you then the eye can see," he said lookimg with his whirling eye. "I have a feeling that this isn't snapes usual place. It is more of a getaway," he said looking at her for the truth. "Potion ingredients still growing which if I amn't mistaken they look like these plants aren't used for decoration," he said having his wicked eye still upon Marce.

He looked down at Nick laying on the floor releasing of pain. He smiled with a smirk. "Next time I think you will listen to my warning he said staring at his accident with his head and the celling. Moody got to standig and walked towards the door. "I am going to have a friend come over here and search this place for a secret cell. I am sure you won't mind if you have nothing to hide," he said looking at her in the corner of the eye. He was hoping with those words that she would possibly tell him what this place is here for and why all these potion evidence is growing when no one is neaturing them. He walked back towards teh Kitchen to find an owl laying there with a letter to him. He peeked around looking for his alone room and begin to read it with a small gult of happiness. He grabbed a quill and ink out of one of the drawers and squablled down quickly. I feel like there is more to the house and I am glad you are coming. On that note bring a vertisamum down here with you. I think it is time we know the truth, Moody.

Moody looked behind him and folded the note quickly and tied it to the owl. He told the owl to where to return it and watch the owl begin to flock his fleathers. He pulled out his wand putting a protection charm on it and watch it fly waiting till it got out fo sight. He turned around and headed towards the door obeying Marce's command until tommorow.

"You yourself should know exactly what he was brewing, that is if you're a real member of the Order. You know very well, as does everyone else, that he worked on potions for Dumbledore privately. And, I believe it's well within his rights to have a private getaway. Everyone needs a home to go to and this was his. Heavens, you cant have expected him to stay at Hogwarts and Grimmauld Place all the time! I'm afraid I have to forbid you from bringing anyone here to inspect us as this is private property.I'm sure Sirius and Tonks would be in agreeance with me on that matter. Besides, Dumbledore strictly forbade anyone coming onto this property without his full consent. We're supposed to hiding from Voldemort, not trying to draw unwanted attention to this place! It seems to me that you're more likely to be the enemy than Nick, the way you're acting!"

She looked toward them as if pleading for help and sympathetically looked at Tonks, "Yeah he should be fine. The knock has knocked him out which is a good thing. He wouldn't stand for abuse around me or Kristi so I suppose it's better for Moody's health that he cant retaliate. First rule broken in a fair fight - it's awfully sly to attack while your opponent is unaware and turned." She scowled and hoped the two adults would speak up for the youngsters.

Moody returned after hours had passed and was alone as Marce had requested. He walked into the room looking at them sitting quitley and looked at Nick with a grin. He walked around the room with his hand on his chin rubbing his scared face slowly. "I won't bring anybody here, that would be by far out of hand. But, what I can do and I will ask before I take matters into my hands," he said walking towards Marce. "While we head from voldemort, I would like a copy of the cottage blueprint," he said looking at Marce. "I feel if you have nothing to hide then show it to me." He walked out the room looking back "I will be expecting them soon and I think Dumbledore would know my point if he was here" he said walking towards the kitchen.

Sirius is relieved Moody backs down and leaves the room. He knows all too well about Moody's reputation as a loose cannon, but this time he has gone too far. His unorthodox interrogation techniques have put all their lives in jeopardy. Sirius watches as Marcella carresses Nick's cheeks. It's obvious he needs medical treatment, but under the circumstances Sirius can't risk a healer coming to the cottage. Kristie had some potions in the attic earlier. Hopefully, she has her father's knowledge of potions and can help Nick. Before Sirius can ask for Kristie's help, a large tawny owl appears at the window. Tonks retrieves the letter and hands it to Sirius. Even though it's addressed to Moody, Sirius rips open the envelope and pulls the letter out.

Dear Mr. Moody,

We have received intelligence that you have performed the Imperius Curse at twenty-five minutes past two in the morning London time. This act is in violation of the Decree Against the Use of Unforgivable Curses and will result in your immediate imprisonment. Officials from the Department of Improper Use of Magic have been dispatched. They will seize your wand and turn you over to the dementors for incarceration in Azkaban Prison. You are advised to remain where you are until they arrive.

Sirius crumples the letter and throws it into the fire. The last thing they need are officials from the Ministry of Magic snooping around. Dumbledore doesn't want Fudge to know where Kristie, Marcella, and Nick are, and Sirius is still considered an excaped convict. Moody won't be the only one going to Azkaban Prison. Sirius has to come up with a plan and fast. "Tonks, you go up to the attic and send an urgent message to Dumbledore. Explain to him what's happened and ask him to intervene with the Ministry of Magic. We can't have them coming here and seizing Moody. There would be too many questions to answer. Kristie, go and get the potions you had ealrier and take care of Nick. Moody did a real number on him." Sirius then turns his attentions to Marcella. He hopes she won't give him too much of an argument, but for once do as he asks. "Marcella, you seem to know this cottage better than everyone else. Is their a place where we can hide and not be found by anyone? Officials from the Ministry of Magic are on the way to arrest Moody, and it's imperative they don't find us here."

"If Dumbledore intervenes there should be no need for hiding. There are over a thousand curses wrapped around this place, consealing it from the naked eye so we should be fine. However, they would know exactly where the curse was used..." she frowned, scowling at Moody. "Nevertheless, have faith in Dumbledore but I suppose you're right, we should try to seal this place up a bit more."

Handing Nick to Kristi, she hesistates and then says, "Kristi, you stay. If you go get the potions and Tonks goes to write to Dumbledore that'd leave Nick alone with Moody and none of us could trust him to behave. I'll go get the potion with Sirius and we'll contact Dumbledore using the fires aswell as sealing the exits and entrances. We wont be long." she said to Kristi's pleading face. Pulling on a dressing gown, extrememly groggy and tired, she led Black out of the room, who looked just as weary as she.

"If we go to the basement first, you can contact Dumbledore via the fire and I can search for the potions and seal the exits."

Tonks watched the others depart, then with a quick glance to Kristi which she hoped was reassuring, she walked over to Moody. 'I know you mean well Moody,' she began in a quiet voice, hoping Kristi would not overhear, 'but you can't attack the kids just like that. They're not deatheaters!'
'And besides,' she said, glancing behind her once more, 'Dumbledore told us no magic unless absolutely necessary. We're in hiding for Merlins sake.'

Breaking off, she wandered back to the bed. Pulling a half eaten bar of chocolate from her pocket, she broke off a small piece and handed it to Kristi.
'Ere, eat this,' she said smiling. 'Trick I learned from Remus.'
Breaking off another, smaller piece she handed it to Kristi. 'This might help Nick. Just let it melt on his tongue.'

She sat down and waited for the others to return with any news, wondering how the kids would ever trust them after this. As she thought, her hair got darker slowly and longer, until finally it was black and long enough to fall into her face. Brushing it back quickly, she stood up again and walked to the window. The sun was starting to rise, and a thick mist hung over the scene before her, making her even more anxious. Now what was going to happen?

Kristi nodded to Marcella, glared at Moody, and accepted the chocolate from Tonks as she took her position, cradling Nick's head in her lap. She wasn't too sure she was capable of this task but, she did know quite a bit and would do the best she could. She smoothed Nick's hair away from his face and tried very heard not to look up at the two older wizards in the room. Why wouldn't they just leave them alone? Kristi looked down at the chocolate in her hand and popped a piece in her mouth, saving the other piece for Nick, for later.

Tonks looked back from the window. Moody was moving about the room, and Kristi was smoothing Nicks hair, her face set. No amount of chocolate will fix this, thought Tonks as she watched. Kristi obviously wanted them to leave, but they couldn't. That alone caused her little concern. Her job was to protect them and stay with them.

But the strain was starting to show in the girls already. They hadn't even been here a full day yet, and look what happened. Moody might be arrested, Nick was injured, how badly she couldn't tell. Sighing she turned back to the window, metally checking all that had happened in the past few hours. Was there something she should have done?

Sirius follows Marcella down to the basement. It reminds him of the diungeons of Hogwarts cold and impersonal. That statement could also apply to Severus Snape, so why did he risk Marcella and Kristie's lives bringing them to Norway with him. Sirius had years of experience evading the Ministry's aurors. Two women would have slowed him down, and yet he let them come with him. Sirius's head felt like it was going to explode. This house, Faith's photograph, Kristie's questions, the past was threatening to suffocate him. He had to stay focused on the present, but that was becoming more complicated with each passing minute. Dumbledore had told him Marcella was the key to Voldemort's plans to destroy the Order once and for all. Like it or not, Tonks and he had to remain here and protect them. They had no choice.

While Marcella sealed the exists and searched for Snape's potions, Sirius made contact with Dumbledore using the Floo Network. It wasn't the most secure way to communicate in the wizarding world, but it was faster than the owl post. As usual Dumbledore already knew about Moody's use of the Imperius Curse. He had already spoken to Fudge and had convinced him Moody was up to his old tricks again. Fudge seemed relieved there was nothing more to it. Dumbledore assured Sirius no aurors would be showing up on their doorstep. Marcella knelt down beside Sirius. She voiced her concerns over Moody's actions, and the fact Ministry now knew someone was staying at Snape's cottage. Dumbledore reminded them the Fideluis Charm he had performed on the house was still in effect. No one, not even Voldemort, could search the village where they were staying and find them. After all He was their secret keeper, and he had no intentions of sharing that information with anyone. Sirius also requested that Moody return to London. Under the circumstances he didn't think it was a good idea for him to remain in Norway. Dumbledore agreed, but he could not replace him right now. Lupin had been called away on Order business and would not be back for a further two weeks. Dumbledore felt Tonks and Sirius could not handle the situation on their own. Marcella sighed and returned to gathering up the potions. Sirius agreed. Moody's continued presence in the cottage was going to make matters worse, but Dumbledore's word was law. Sirius concluded his conversation with him and removed his head from the fire. He helped Marcella finish collecting the potions and followed her back up to Snape's bedroom. The sun was breaking through the window. A new day was dawning, and Sirius wondered what was going to happen next.

Picking up a restorative draught from one of the many shelves, she whipped out her wand and boarded up several of the peep hole windows. Having voiced her concerns to Dumbledore, she put out the light of the fire and the two were instantly thrown into pitch black darkness; the small peep holes allowed very little light to entr the room. Petrified, she grabbed what she thought was his hand and almost dropped the potion vial in the process.

Correcting herself, she pocketed the potion and, upon arriving at the first floor, she triple locked the front and back doors and sealed the windows further, nodding her head toward Sirius as a hint for him to cover her back should anything untoward happen to her.

Kristi continued to sit with Nick's head in her lap as she looked him over to be sure all he had suffered was the nasty bump on his head which, thank Merlin, wasn't bleeding at all. She couldn't believe all that had happened. She and Marcella would have been better off staying at Hogwarts afterall. They probably would have had more freedom there, which was exactly what they had been looking for here: just some peace and quiet and a place to hang around out of the sight of other people. So much for that plan. Kristi wondered who was now teaching potions at Hogwarts and if Dumbledore might consider hiring her so that she could get away from these people she trusted about as far as she could throw them.

Sirius thought he felt Marcella touch his hand. He wanted to grab hers too, squeeze it tightly, and let her know he would protect her. Instead she hurriedly pulled her hand away and pocketed the potion she almost dropped. Together they went back upstairs. While Marcella secured the windows and doors, Sirius scaned the rooms. Everything appeared to be normal. He hoped it stayed that way. He continued to watch Marcella in amazement. Once again she had rose to the occasion and took charge of the situation. She could be a real asset to him, but he did not know how to convince her he wasn't the enemy. Following her lead, he let her accend the stairs first and carefully watched her go up.

Moody walked back and fourth have a bad gut feeling. He felt like not only Dumbledore knew where they were staying but he fely like he was being watched. Moddy turned sharply and sighed flicking out his wand secruing his surroundings. He frowned slowly knowing that there was people here that shouldn't be here and it was time to move quicker. He flicked his wand at the boards and nailed them to the wall by magic trying to move things quicker. "Tonks, Surius, one of you stay with Marce and one with Kristi. I have this feeling that we aren't alone and that we are being watched of followed," he said having his eye going in drastic motions. He knew that this was a sign that something was about to happen as soon as he turned his back. He walked backwards frowning trying to keep his whizzing eye claim but he felt more danger as he tried to fight the feeling. "Marce, if you have any secret entrances tell me now. I know you and your father have secrets but now isn't the time to keep them. I suggest you seal those places," he said looking around sharply. "I have a feeling that we aren't to safe here," he said looking around still have a werey feeling. "Once this place is sealed we willn't communicate with outside kid or beings. We will stay in and be on guard,"he said turning his back and noticing the window was now open again and the boards was down. "Not on my clock," he said putting barriers around the room making sure that whoever was in there with him wasn't leaving with out some one dieing tonight.

Moddy paused and looked around closed is eyes letting his whizzing eye focus upon what we going on. He paused and flicked his wand noticing a small rat there. He paused and walked into the den. Sitting on the dusty couch yelling. "False Alarm."

There were heard three knocks at the door. The figure outside couldn't have felt this unneasy not even under the full moon. Of course, Dumbledore portkey had worked just fine but he, Remus J. Lupin, was still not the Secret Keeper, Dumbledore was and, as such, he and he only could find the place. So how in the name was Lupin in front of the place right now you ask? Simply by taking the greatest risk for such a task: Dumbledore had temporally taken out the Fidelius Charm.

That meant, in this small period of time, somebody other than himself could enter the house or find the place. He could not let that happen, not after all the effort Dumbledore and everybody had taken to remain all of this secret.

He knocked at the door again, hoping against hopes that he wouldn't need to make an scene by blasting the door up to enter. Holding on the wall with weak muscles and tired eyes, he waited... but he was glad to be there. He was glad to be able to see his friend Sirius again.

Sirius continued to watch Marcella climb the stairs when he heard a noise at the door which could only be knocking. Fearing the worse he motioned for her to hide in the shadows. If it was the Ministry's aurors and they had managed to break Dumbledore's Fidelius Charm, Sirius planned to hold them off for as long as he could and allow the others a chance to escape. He quietly descended the stairs while Marcella took off her protective charms from the door. With his wand at the ready, Sirius threw the door open and readied for a fight to the death. Instead of the expected aurors, he found his old friend, Remus Lupin. Sirius put his wand in his pocket and gave Remus a giant bear hug. "Remus, your a sight for sore eyes," he said, "Dumbledore said you were away on Order business. How did you manage to find you way here?" Sirius asked as he escorted his friend into the cottage. He was thrilled to have his old friend with him once more.

Before he was given to chance to explain, or only to ready himself for what was coming, Remus was trapped between the arms of one tired-looking yet warm Sirius Black. Smiling only slightly, truly overwhelmed by the welcome, the gesture and the sight alone of his dear friend, Remus Lupin returned the hug wholeheartedly. It was only when pulling away and hearing Sirius' questioning that he felt his feet back on the ground.

"In a minute, Sirius," he said avoiding the answer and immediately crossing the room, pass him, and to the fireplace roaring about. A small stack of floo powder was by the side of it, which was expected. Remus took only a handful of it and threw it to the fire. Just before sticking his head up there, he turned and said, "Dumbledore, Hogwarts - it will be quick," both commanding the floo network and explaining.

And short it was! The only thing the other people in the room heard Remus say was "I'm here, put it back."

Pulling away, he brushed himself off and stood. He was feeling quite choked because of the ashes he inhalled and winded because of the blood which has rushed to his head in such a short period of time. Finally looking around he noticed Marcella and Sirius both in the room, and on seconds, who he believed were all the inhabitants of the house had joined them. All resumed to an awkward moment where all Remus could do was try to regain his thoughts. "Sorry," he said. "I guess I own you an explanation."

Everything has gone quiet and Remus was kind of lost of words as he approched a nearby table. Everything had gone too fast.

It took a couple of seconds for him to gather himself before saying, "I better start by the obvious. By chance alone is that I am here, I was at the right moment at the right place; I got to communicate with Dumbledore and he informed, just at the time Shacklebolt could take my place in the other business. I'm not going into detail. And I travelled by portkey, to answer you other question, Sirius," he cleaned his hands with his handchief while adding this. "Sadly, as you know the only way to travel to a place under the Fidelius Curse ask for the place to be no longer un-trackable for a period of time."

He paused, expecting for that recount to give enough facts for any known Auror or person involved to realize what he was telling while trying not to give away too much information that could cause panic to arise. How knows, he might get lucky...

Tonks came down the stairs cautiously after hearing the bangs, wand held out ready. How anyone had found the house was beyond her.

Spying round the corner she saw Remus, almost smothered in a bear hug from Sirius. Relaxing, a smile spread across her face, and she descended the final steps, and joined the group huddled around the door.

Almost at once, Remus moved to the fireplace, contacting Dumbledore. Dumbledore! she thought, looking quickly to Sirius and Marcella.
She still knew nothing about what was to happen to Moody. Would Aurors be arriving any minute?

She was so lost in these considerations that it took several moments for the impact of Remus' words to sink in. The spell had been lifted, risky, but surely not without good reason. Perhaps Remus would be able to fill them in on the whole fiasco.

Kristi watched as Moddy and Tonks left the room after they heard the knocking. Checking to be sure Nick was still stable, she summoned a pillow from the bed and gently exchanged it for her lap. She took one last, worried, look at him before heading down the stairs to see what all the commotion was about. It was just another meddlesome babysitter, courtesy of Dumbledore. Kristi moved to Marcella's side and, not wanting to draw attention to herself, whispered, "Did you get the potion?"

Remus nodded as greeting when spotting Tonks in the room. Familiar faces to work with was always good, he thought, considering his dangerous condition. His heart still pounding fast and strong in his chest, his eyes rested on Kristy for a moment... for a moment the spark in her eyes made him think he had seen a ghost. Clearing his head, Remus looked uneasily around the room, his breath still raged. He was feeling out of place, insecure, but his mates didn't need him on that state, no. Taking a deep breath to clam himself, he asked,

"So this is all of us?"
