"Oh! Its good you are ok! I am a new chaser for the Gryffindor team now!" I said happily to Will

I sat in the Gryffindor Common Room, wondering where everyone had gone as I heard the portrait opening. I got up and found Stevie!
"There you-"
"Where's Will?" she cut me off. I shrugged, not knowing myself. At that moment I heard voices from out side the portrait hole.
"Is that them?" I asked as Stevie went to look.

"Chaser! That's great, I knew you could do it!" I complimented B on the great news. "And you didn't even need to try out...amazing!" We walked through the common room.

"Thank you, Will!" I said happily. The reason I told about it to Will the first was because I felt like he was my best friend. Stevie was a dear step sister and Kira was her best friend. Ofcourse they were all my dear friends, but Will? Will was different. (not a bf way! I've got other plans for B... lol) We stepped in through the portrait hole to find Kira and Stevie there "Guess what?" I said blooming. "What?" Stevie asked smileing "I'm Gryffindor chaser!"

"Welcome to the team" i said shaking her hand. I walked across the room and went to look in the mirror. I smiled at the reflection staring back at me, maybe growing up wasnt so bad after all.

I sat down infront of the fire still blooming. "Now I need my own broom!" I had saved money and planned to buy the best broom there was on the next Hogsmead trip. "Hey Stevie?" I called "When is the next practise?" I asked exitedly

"Who cares? Let's go practise right now! Well, you go practise.." I said happily running up to the Common Room for a change of clothes. But onced I reached the first step there was a little peck on the window. I turned to find my father's owl.
I quickly ran over and snatched the letter. I skimmed it

Dear Kira,
Your Uncle Percy is on his way to Hogwarts to view the tournament. He was supposed to come earlier but something about cauldron bottoms came up.. NO PRANKS.

"What? Ugh!" I blurt out wripping the letter in half.

"Who's was it from?" Stevie asked in the distance, I was listening to them. I had noticed a red and green piece of paper on the notice board and has just read it.
"I can't believe this!" I said loudly.
"What?" B asked turning quickly. I took it from the wall and read it aloud to them:
A notice for all students in third year and above:
It is with great honour that I can announce this Christmas Hogswarts will be holding there annual tournament Yule Ball! If you choose to stay for the Christmas holidays you and your date can attend this socail. It starts on the 24th of December at seven until eleven. You are to be in your best dressing robes as Minister of Magic, Percy Arthur Weasley, will be attending with his wife, Penelope Weasley. Hope to see you all there,

I put it back on the wall and smiled.
"So Kira, who was the letter from?" I asked, but I had a feeling they would all be more interested in the ball.

"Great!" I said although I didn't feel how it was great. Who had I to go with? Will will probobly take Kira and Stevie with that Neil guy. But me? 'Oh I have to find a date!' I thought 'Maybe I'll meet someone at the Quiddich games' I smiled to myself

I walked out of the portrait hole, Neil was standing near it. "Hi Neil" i said going up to him. "Are you going to the ball?" he asked me. "Umm, yea, if i find a date" I said. He turned red, "would you go with me?" he asked. I smiled and took his hand and walked down the hall.

"A ball?A ball! Oh, wow! Well, I'm staying for the holidays." I said smiling. I turned to Will, "The letter it was from, my Dad.. Wait a minute!" I said turning back to the paper about to reread it.
"UNCLE PERCY!" I shouted as some Gryffindors from the other side of the room stared over at me, "He's coming!" I yelled at the paper, "And with Penelope! Uh-I-Gah!" I was at a loss of words.

"You don't like them very much, don't you?" I asked giggling.

"Yes, he is a bit of a git isn't he?" I said, I had been watching Stevie. She may be like a sister to me, but she was still my ex-girlfriend and having seen her walking off with another guy felt a bit odd.
"Wow, bad mouthing an adault Will?" B said. I clicked suddenly.
"Yes, well I personally think his couldren bottom laws are far to extreme!" I continued "I mean if you are going to have them three fifths of the thickness at the top then what is the point, he is better off spreading the mesurments out because most people don't use larger couldrens in making larger-"
"Stop" Kira groaned to me.
"oh" I relised "Sorry..."

I smiled walking back into the portrait hole. I grabbed my calander out of my trunk and looked at it. Only 5 more days until the dance. "I can wait" i said silently to myself as i looked over at will and stared at him for a few minutes.

"Well" I composed finally "I'm going to bed!" With that I nodded them goodnight and headed upstairs. I didn't want to ask Kira, not that I didn't like her, but it was so embarrasing and nerve racking. "There's always tomorrow" I said as I got into bed.

I crawled into bed and pulled the sheets around me. "WHat an interesting year" i said aloud to myself. "Hmm?" Helga Smith said. "Oh nothing" I said as i heard Kira come up to bed.

I watched Will walk up the stairs, I was hoping he would ask me. Maybe I should ask him, I thought. "Well, I'm going to go to bed too.." I told B as another thought came to me. Uncle Percy! He's going to pester Will the whole time!
I made a loud groan then ran up to bed. I tried to slip in quietly but I figured Stevie had already heard me.

I woke up the next morning feeling a odd pain in my stomach, it was the day of the hogsmeade weekend. This meant everyone would be buying dress robes, this meant everyone would be talking about the Yule Ball and this meant today he had to ask Kira.
"Why doesn't someone actually write a book about girls?" I said getting dressed as Neazel streched out on my bed "They would make a fortune" I continued to mutter away.
"Shut up Granger" Sean snapped as he woke up and threw his pillow at me.
"Sorry!" I wispered walking out the door and down to the common room.

I woke up and walked down to the common room. "Morning Will! I didn't think anyone would be up this early!" I sat down "So have you asked Kira yet?" I asked looking at him

I jumped up in my seat very quickly at shot a quick glance around to make sure no one was there.
"What?" I slammed "Ask Kira? To what?"
"The Yule Ball" B sighed.
"Oh...that thing..." I said in a mock casual voice "I wasn't going to ask her...why? What did she say?"

B rolled her eyes, "why are you so shy?" she asked him. I came down the stairs. "Good morning" i said cheerfully.

I ran down the stairs to the Great Hall, everyone seemed to stop the conversation. I broke the silence, "So, where are we all going to hide? Hogsmeade?" I asked, they looked at me curiously.
"From what may I ask?" I heard a voice behind me, I jumped, I knew that voice.
"Uncle Percy.." I faked a smile and turned around, what I said was just a greeting and an answer.

The hall, that was mearly a quater full, had fallen completly silent as Percy and Penelope Weasley entered. Kira was the only one who didn't seem to over wellemed by him.
"Minister" McGonagall summonded as she came hussling down the Gryffindor table in emerald robes. "How good it is to see you"
"You too, Headmistriss" Percy nodded, rather pompously. "I was just saying hello to my niece, Kira and her friends...uh...Stephanie, Bill and...um...Bridget? isn't it?" He said, still sounding annoying.
"It's Will" I corrected him.
"My name's not Bridget" B snapped. Mc Gonagall gave us warning glanced and we fell silent.

I rolled my eyes, and turned to McGonagle.
"When are we going to Hogsmeade, Professor?" I asked hopefully.
"Patience, Miss Weasley," she replied. Percy smirked as if he was still Head Boy.

"I am famished, Proffessor" Penelope said, just as pompously.
"Know it all" Kira muttered sitting down as Mc Gonagall lead Percy and Penelope away.
"Be nice to your uncle" I said "He's minister of magic!"
"What's that got to do with anything?" Stevie asked grabbing some juice.
"Well, if anything happens we want the ministry on our side" I insisted.
"What's going to happen?" Stevie shot at me looking up quickly.
"I said if somthing happens" I muttered.
