••KA: RPotW•• ->Voldemort's Return - 25 Years Late
Although I love all the creative RP's out there, I'm a huge fan of canon and canon character RP's. So here it goes.
Horcruxes are powerful and dark things. Because they are so rarely used, many people are not aware that they only work when the rules bound to them are followed strictly.
Voldemort is aware of these rules, which is why he understands that when a horcrux is destroyed, another cannot be destroyed for twenty-five years.
He's also aware of three other things:
1)His diary, and the horcrux inside, has been destroyed.
2)Harry Potter is a horcrux.
3)He needs Harry Potter's blood in order to resurrect his [Voldemort's] body.
So Voldemort is left with a problem. If he takes Harry Potter while he is a boy, he will be able to return to his body, but he will not be able to kill the boy. He knows this is foolish and will be his ruin. The only way is to take Harry Potter's blood, resurrect his body, and then kill the boy immediately. Which means he must wait, until 2018. So Voldemort waits, and he plans, and he builds his followers. As he watches Harry Potter's life unfold, he sees the golden opportunity. 2019 will be the year, the year of the Dark Lord's return.
Meanwhile...
Harry Potter and Ron Weasley, aurors, work with the Order of the Phoenix to track information about Voldemort and his followers. They look into the mysterious disappearances of witch Helga Snuffle and her wizard brother Harold Snuffle.
At Hogwarts, Albus Potter, Rose Weasley, and Scorpius Malfoy have started their fourth year. They are excited to learn that the school is hosting a special tournament--the triwizard cup. Although excited to hear who the champions will be, they are not so excited as the seventh years, who are the only ones capable of entering. The day of the drawing arrives, and everyone is shocked when four, not three, champions are named. Albus Potter's name comes out of the goblet. He is a triwizard champion.
Rules and Basic Info
-Everything not relating to Voldemort and his actions post Prisoner of Azkaban is canon. So Sirius is alive, but still hiding out, and Pettigrew has escaped and is with Voldemort.
-All canon marriages and children apply. So although Remus and Tonks are alive, so is Teddy. As are all the Weasley and Potter and Malfoy grandchildren.
-Draco Malfoy did not become a Death Eater. There was no reason to. However, he knows his father and mother still have ties to the Dark Lord. His wife, Astoria, does not believe in there being a difference between pureblood and muggleborns. It is an issue they have avoided talking about throughout their marriage. Draco has not taught Scorpius to hate muggleborns (as Astoria would never stand for this), however his arrogance about being pureblood has rubbed off on his son. Draco is torn between his parents and his wife/son.
-Harry and Ginny have James, Albus, and Lily. Harry does not know Snape's secret, and so Albus's full name is Albus Remus Potter. Snape is alive and takes pleasure in being mean and snarky towards Harry's children (yes, even Lily, though maybe a little less towards her.)
-Harry knows he is a horcrux.
-Ron and Hermione have Rose and Hugo. Ron is an auror, like Harry. Hermione is a lawyer.
-The ministry is still corrupt, although Harry, Ron, and Hermione are trying to change that.
-Everyone who died post-PoA, is alive. Sirius hides out at Grimmauld Place, which is still the headquarters of the OotP.
-Members of the Order include, but are not limited to, the golden trio, all Weasley adults (including Fred, who is alive), and Neville and Hannah.
-Dumbledore is still Headmaster of Hogwarts. Snape still teaches potions. McGonagall still teaches transfiguration. The DADA professor is Archibald White. He may be played, if anyone is interested, or he may be a background character.
-I will pick houses for the main children, but their personalities/motivations/loyalties are up to you! Except for Lily and Hugo, who are starting at Hogwarts. Their houses will be up to those who play them. Also, the houses and years of the other Weasley children will be up to the the player.
The story will begin with the drawing of the names of the champions. After that ceremony, and Albus's subsequent selection, the parents will be called to the school. The Triwizard Tasks will NOT be the same as in GoF.
A Few Rules:
1)You may take two characters, but not two main characters. So you may take only one main character, and then any other character from the other lists. You may take two supporting characters if you wish.
2)I'm pretty open with what you want to do with the characters personalities and loyalties, but I'm trying to keep it fairly canon. So even though the characters won't be their parents, they will somewhat resemble them. So, for example, Scorpius will be a prick. He can't be raised by Draco Malfoy and not be. That's not to say he's dark or that he has to hate the Potters/Weasleys, but ya, he's not Mr. Nice. Similarly, Albus, who is the main character, might have a different personality than Harry, but he's not about to go skipping off to Voldemort gleefully.
3) Please only take a main character if you RP regularly and are going to be faithful to the RP.
4) If two characters are listed together they count as one character.

So that's it. Just write what character you would like, as well as what house and year they're in if applicable (main characters have already been chosen for them, except for Lily and Hugo, see above). Also, include a little about them--their personalities and loyalties (and more, if you're so inclined.)
EDIT: So there was one problem I thought of. How do we get Draco and Astoria around others so that they can RP? The plan, see, is to have to locations, one for the Order, and one for the students. Characters will at times cross over between these places. But Draco/Astoria doesn't fit into either of these. So here's what I've worked out.
Draco is the head of Magical Sports and Games at the Ministry. As such, he is a judge in the triwizard tournament, and is staying at the castle for the year. Astoria is also staying there, though whether she moves between work and the castle is up to DracikinsLuver4321.

Vat do you think? She hissed, still listening through the door. There was no way Albus was competing. She'd give it another minute then she'd drag Fred and Luis through the door with her, they'd get him out...somehow. And no doubt, Mr I'm-so-full-of-myself-and-my-head-is-so-big Weasley would be arguing he should be in there too, but if she wouldn't let Albus compete she certainly wouldn't let her brother!

Hermione's head snapped up as Malfoy spoke for the first time, you're loving this aren't you she glared at him, besides he doesn't have to do it she said firmly, she was a lawyer for Christ sakes, and she knew her stuff. Granted this was for muggle law...but same difference. Sort of. It infringes his rights she nodded assertively, if you make him do something he doesn't want to do. She nodded again, Cambridge had been good to her and she had thousands of possible arguments, ergo he can't compete. She folded her arms and waited for the possible onslaught.

Teddy apparated to Hogsmede he looked behind him, tapping his foot impatiently waiting for his father, as he appeared he sighed "Hurry up dad," he said unhappily as he began walking up to Hogwarts. They had gone to Grimmauld Place, and seeing that Victorie no one was there, they had immediately come here.
Remus apparated, after his son and couldn't help but smirk at his impatience, "Don't worry you will see Victorie soon enough," he said as he sped up and walked alongside his son, they continued up to the school and walked in.......

Because you're a Malfoy she thought darkly. It is still the same in the some rights and lets be honest, Albus hasn't had half as much training as Harry when he went through it, it simply unfeasible and she pointed out triumphantly, with all the press thats been on the school, this would give them a field day! Urgh that nasty drawl he had as a child was still there *eye roll* And like I say, Albus doesn't have the training, nor does he have the friends to give him extra training, none of them had enough, maybe Rose would be good on technical but that was it, and I imagine none of the professors would be too forthcoming to help Albus, considering what happened last time!

"Could you give this to Roxanne after we leave." He said handing her a book. "I think she would like this a whole lot." It was her favorite book. One that he had asked her to leave behind when she packed. "I just want it to be a surprise to her."
"I left your surprise with her." he said to Roxanne. "You'll get it after we leave." He smiled and hugged both his kids.
For a second Minerva thought about snapping at him and telling him that she wasn't a servant, but the look on his face quelled her fire. "Yes, of course, I will give it to her."

Dumbledore coughed quietly and stepped forward. "That is enough," he said with finality. He turned to Hermione. "I am sure you have excellent training in law, Mrs. Weasley, and I don't doubt your expertise for a moment. But in this case Mr. Malfoy is correct. Albus must compete. The goblet is centuries old and so the magic that binds the champions to the competition is centuries old. It pays no heed to modern laws or reasoning."
Dumbledore looked at his young namesake, but addressed the room. "Young Mr. Potter is fortunate to have the friends and family that he does, and I'm sure they will be of great help to him." He was silent a moment before addressing Harry. "And I had a small idea that might be of interest to you. There is a certain former-professor who could help prepare Albus for the tasks ahead. He is on his way to the castle as we speak. You can guess, I think Harry, about whom I am speaking?
Rose gave a small smile. "Er...thanks." She raised her head and met his eyes and something strange passed over her face, but as soon as it was there, it was gone. "Well, bye," she said awkwardly. Scorpius was glad Rose had apologized. She finally had the courage to look into his ice blue eyes and when she did, Scorp noticed that a strange look flashed over her face. It was there for a second, but before he could figure out what it was, it had disappeared. Hmm. She offered for him to sit with them again, but he decided against it. It probably wouldn't be a good idea. He turned to George Goyle, his father's friend's son. He wasn't that good of friends with him. George was kind of... stupid. And not very interesting. But for the time being, he'd have to do.
For a second Minerva thought about snapping at him and telling him that she wasn't a servant, but the look on his face quelled her fire. "Yes, of course, I will give it to her."
"Thank you so much." George said. "Our family has been so out of sync lately. I have to do something to put a smile on their faces."
(ooc: I am just throwing Dora and Molly in somewhere) Dora Lupin walked towards Hogwarts with her friend Molly Weasley.
Molly looked up at the castle of Hogwarts. she couldn't believe her grandson was chosen to compete in the Triwizard Tournament. "he's just a baby." she said to herself worriedly
That settled it. There is no way out this tournament. He is just gonna have to be strong. To fear the unknown at this point is a death wish. Like his father had just told him. If he trusts in his freinds that they will help him help could survive this and smiled at his fathers encouraging words. Al then heard Dumbledore say there is a certified professor who had not arrived yet could help him. Help wondered who would it be and how they could help him.

Louis glared at his sister. Had she really gone there? Seriously? She was in for a good hexing and she had to know that she would somehow get the blame for it!

Making her way up the familiar path, she soon caught up with Teddy and his father. "Good evening, Teddy, Mr. Lupin," she said, looking to each of the two men as she greeted them, though her eyes rested on Teddy for a fraction of a second longer. "Do eizer of you know vhy we are 'ere?"

Harry glared at Hermione fiercely as she stubbornly kept jabbering on and on. It wasn't so much the trying to go against the Goblet's magic that annoyed Harry; it was more of the fact that she was putting down his own son while the boy was still in the room! Couldn't she have at least waited until they weren't around Albus before putting him down and claiming that no one would be willing or capable to help him?! Merlin's beard.

Thank Merlin Dumbledore was here to stop Hermione, though Harry wished the Headmaster had shushed her sooner. He could only hope Albus hadn't been listening to her during that time so he wouldn't lose any courage he might have actually had in facing this Tournament.
But now the Headmaster was addressing him, so Harry removed his glare from Hermione and turned his attention to the old man. A certain former Professor who could help Al? Two names popped into Harry's head instantly, the first Mad-Eye Moody, the professor who had helped Harry get through the Tournament in his fourth year, the second Remus Lupin, who had been a professor in Harry's third year, and a great professor at that. Both would be extremely helpful, knowledgeable as they were, but Harry quickly decided it probably wasn't Mad-Eye. As skilled as the retired Auror was, he was really, well, quite mad, and would probably tend to scare Al more than actually help him. So then it had to be... "Professor Lupin?"

As soon as he answered, a shout was heard, and Harry turned, recognizing those French accents - and the protest against "ze ginger 'air" - immediately. He stood and walked over to the slightly open door and pulled it open fully, discovering Louis and Dominique Weasley behind it. "What are you two doing?" he asked with a raised brow, though the question was more rhetorical than anything. It was pretty obvious what they were doing.

Teddy looked up as he heard a familiar voice, his smile grew "Good evening Miss Weasley," he said in a slight teasing tone, he kept walking his eyes drifting slightly towards her. He reached into his coat pocket and felt the small velvet box, he grinned slightly and shrugged at her question "No idea, all I know is that no one was at Grimmauld Place, meaning they are all most likely here."
Remus smiled at Victorie, "Good evening Victorie," he said with a nod as he walked ahead of them, he kept quiet as Teddy talked with his girlfriend.

Remus entered the school first and was motioned toward a room by a small house elf, he thanked the elf and walked in hearing someone say his name, "What are we saying about Professor Lupin," he asked with a serious face as he walked in, "Good evening everyone.....may I ask why you are all found here tonight rather then in Grimmauld Place?"
