Something strange is going on in Hogwarts. The magical staircases have malfunctioned. Whenever a student steps off the stairs, they end up somewhere in the future! Because of this, Dumbledore has decided to close the school until he can rectify the situation.

Rose, Lily, Hugo, James, and Albus end up staying behind, because their parents are away working and can’t come back. A few other students are in the same predicament. Dumbledore has told them to stay on the lower levels of the castle, and to avoid the stairs at all costs. However, the students get bored and decide to go on a little adventure.

This RP follows their adventures through the future, but what happens if they can’t get back, or if they even want to go back?

Hugo listened to Leena. "Alright!" he cried as he began to run towards the stairs. "But..." Hugo paused. "What if....what if I step onto this stair, and just VANISH!" Indicating the stair his foot was hovering above. It wasn't that Hugo was scared to get lost - no, he couldn't be more excited. It was the thought that he didn't want to get lost, somewhere random, all alone. Hugo was one for company.

Glancing back at the entrance to the dungeons, and all of his friends huddled around it, Hugo sighed. He wondered if Rose was going to come. He just hoped that she would, or if she didn't, she wouldn't tell anyone where they had gone. If they got into trouble, Hugo would probably blame her, even if it wasn't her fault. He grinned again, and shrugged away this though. No - of course he wouldn't blame her....

...unless he had evidence.

"You wont vanish" Leenas said in how-could-you-not-know-you-wouldnt-vanish sort of way. "its only the moving staircases" Leena said it as if she knew what she talking about but really she wasnt sure. the teachers had kept everything so secret no one knew for sure!

OOC: Hugo suggested that they go and see what exactly the staircases did and Lily, Leena and Hugh have gone along with him. Not sure who else has gone and who's stayed. xx

Lily joined her friends at the base of the stairs and watched Hugo cautiously hover his foot over the step. "Why don't we all go together?" she suggested. "Then at least if we do 'vanish' we'll all be gone together." Lily commented. There was strength in numbers her mother had always told her and she believed that firmly.

"Good idea" Leena smiled at Lily then turned to Hugo "But if we get sent back to the land of the dinosaurs i so blame you." Leena took a deep breath and mimicked Hugo, hovering her foot over the stair.

ooc: Stefan, Jack and Isabella are coming also i believe. However Floresca, Albus and James havnt made it clear whether they are coming or not.

Rose lingered in the common room, unsure whether or not follow Hugo and the others. Sighing, she realised her mother would hex her if anything happened to Hugo, so she jogged after him, heading up the ground floor of the castle.

She soon spotted Lily, Leena and her brother at the bottom of a staircase. "What are you doing? We're not meant to go up there for a reason!" She exclaimed, grounding to a halt by the three younger students. Always the sensible one, was Rose. Just like her mother, she thought.

Laughing slightly, Hugos face fell as Rose joined them at the bottom of the stairs. Frowning, he removed his foot, and went and stood in front of his sister. Although she was older, he was taller, an Hugo looked down on his sister, sure she was there to ruin their fun.

His prediction was proved right a mere second later. Hugo Weasley scowled and folded his arms childishly as Rose told them, not in so many words, that they were forbidden to go upstairs. But the only one she could really order about was Hugo himself, and he had no intention of following those orders.

"Watch me!" Hugo grinned at Rose, walking away. Muttering "Sooo like mum..." under his breath as he went back over to the stairs. Standing on the first step, Hugo did a small dance before advancing to the second, where he lay down and did the worm. Third step - fourth - fifth - sixth - seventh - eighth - nineth -

- Tenth.

Hugo stopped here and grinned down at the others. "Seee?!" he chimed. "No danger, whatso ever!!" But within five seconds later he slid sideways. Arms failing, his feet everywhere, Hugo panicked.

"HELPP!! HELPPPPPP!!!" he cried franticly. "I'm v-v-vanishing!!" His voice shuddered and faded. Hugo was genuinly scared. Arms still waving, feet still failing, he fell.

Down...

...down

Down.

Landing flat at his sisters feet, Hugo scrambled to his feet, goofy grin back in place, and fixed his shirt. "Shoelace." he said, sheepishly, bending down to tie his Converse.

Stefan looked over to see that Jack seemed annoyed. Awww poor Jack wanted to go ahead and get somewhere. That annoyed Stefan. He had been somewhat nice, or at least as nice as he was going to be, to this kid and how does he repay him. He was about to tell him just what he thought, as he normally would have, when he decided against it. For some odd reason Issy liked this boy so for her sake he would keep his mouth shut. What kind of effect was this girl having over him. It kind of scared him.

She had noo idea where she was going.She'd lost the others and it was just them three.Her,Stefen and Jack.The corridors were sooo empty it seemed spooky.They were lifeless and silent,and she didnt like it.It was like it was hogwarts anymore.It wasnt even somewhere she remembered.Light,loud and with life.

She really didnt like it.She glanced at the two boys.She knew something was wrong with Stefen,and Jack was too quite.She looked at Stefen."Are you ok?"she asked him,and as she asked him she took Jacks hand in hers an squeezed it.

Jack gave her a tincey incey smile as she gripped his hand once more and squeezed it. "Are we gonna get going soon?" He questioned indicating to the fact they had been left there anyway, and if they wanted to catch up tehy were going to have to get a move on sorta soon. He smiled at Issy once more, but it completely avoided Stefan, because Jack was still annoyed with him for making them stop over absolutely NOTHING.

"Hugo!" Rose shouted as he started for the stairs. God, he was going to get them into trouble. As he climbed step after step, Rose held her breath expecting the worse. Thankfully when he stopped he was still there.

When he started falling, Rose gasped and moved forward to do something, anything to help him. However, she could've hexed him when he had tripped over his laces! "Hugo Weasley! Do not do that again! You have no idea where you could end up. They still haven't found Marcus Peters from Ravenclaw yet, though they think he may be in Ancient Rome. Apparently his face is on a vase in a museum somewhere." Rose knew she was rambling, but she was trying to prove a point.

Stefan followed Isabelle. She didn't seem like she knew where they were. He wondered if she was getting frightened. He couldn't really tell. Then he noticed Jack was being very hostile towards him. What did it matter, it didn't bother him one bit. Wow, an annoying kid didn't like him big deal.

Then Issy asked him a question. "Oh just peachy" He said flashing her a grin. It wasn't that he was being scarcastic, it was just that it was more fun to over exagerate than to be like yea or sure. He watched her squeeze Jack's hand and also noticed that he seemed to like it. Hmmm.... what did we have here.

Issy looked at Stefen as he replied to her question.She sighed a little and then looked straight infront of her.It was pretty dark aswell,not alot of light.She knew what Stefen was thinking,because it was all over his face.She wasnt stupid in fact she was pretty smart.She shook her head a little and looked down for a moment

After debaiting with herself she reached to her side and took his hand gentle and very slowly.SHe didnt want to seem like an idiot.But she held onto his hand.

She looked a Jack for a moment and then looked ahead."Where are we?"she said,no knowing where they were.She looked to the left of her,and it was a staitcase."Let go up here.."she said

Stefan followed and watched Issy. She almost seemed like she had expected his answer. Either she was just really good at reading people or he was getting softer. It had to be the former, it just had to be.

But then felt her hand take hold of his slowely. For someone reason a crooked grin came across his face. He didn't pull back but instead squeezed her hand. It was soft but noticable.

As she looked up to the staircase as smile crossed his face. "Lets go for it" He was anxious to see if they would end up someone interesting, like the people who had gone to Egypt.

Issy felt a small squeeze back and it made her grin to herself.He was getting softer,and she was breaking down his armour.And he might even be letting her in.She wondered if he was letting her in to see the real him.She knew what it was like to have armour up so people couldnt help you.

She knew what that was like.

She looked at him as he replied.She nodded."Let go."she said,taking there hands and walking up the stairs.And if by some weird feeling,the stair moved,but to where,she didnt know.

After a few seconds,they stopped spinning around.She set one foot onto the corridor and looked around."Where are we?"she asked,but came out as a whisper

Stefan had an idea what she was thinking. She thought that he was letting her in. Maybe in a way he was. But he didn't need to be. That was it, no more nice soft guy. He needed to be himself again. And Issy was just going to have to deal with that.

He didn't pull his hand away but the wall was back up. He wondered where they were. "I have no clue" He said to her. There was something about his voice. It was the same one that he had used when he had first met her.

He too was looking around the hall wondering where they were. Was this somewhere in hogwarts that they had never found before or where they somwhere completely different.

Then his attention was back to Issy. She had noticed. It pained him alittle but then that went away. He wasn't letting her in and that was final. "I'll smile when I have a reason to" He told her as he let go of her hand and took a few steps foward studying the painting on the walls and all of the surroundings.

Issy looked around.It didnt even look like Hogwarts as it was so quite and deserted.She found it a little weird,and a little distrubing.She wanted it to go back to normal where there was light and life,not darkness and silent.She held her breath for a moment.She looked over her shoulder,getting and unasy feeling about where they were.

She felt his hand pull away from hers and she frowned."Whoa..there.."she said,walking over to him,taking hold of his arm and turning him to face her."Whats your problem now?"she said,frowning,letting go of his arm.What was wrong with this boy!

Stefan was getting more and more bi polar by the minute. Not bi polar he was just realizing that he didn't need to let his guard down. Great just great, she was chasing after him. This girl was persistant. He had learned that early on.

"I don't have a problem" He said to her. His eyes as dark and as cold as the corridor that they were in.

IT was strange he had always like the dungeons at Hogwarts, come on, he was a Slytherin. BUt this was different. This place was definately not Hogwarts.

Stefan watched as he noticed that Issy was getting very frusterated wth him. She was getting angry and she was getting short with him. Well he dished it right back at her. "You want to know what happened?" he said to her sternly. "I'm an idiot, thats what happened" He said to her. "I should have never let it down in the first place. I knew this would happen"

"This is excactly why i never let it down, because people would get attached. You should have never gotten attached Isabella" He said getting lowder now. "I'm not the person you think I am so you need to quit lying to youself" He said finally to her. Maybe that would get her off of his case.

Issy could see that Stefen was picking up on her behavier.She looked at him and frowned at him with a look of annoyance and her patients was slipping.She listened to him."Why are you an Idiot?"she said shaking her head."Whats the problem with letting your guard down?"she said,her voice getting more and more strained."Do you enjoy pushing people away?"she said to him.

Stefan watched her. She had admitted things to him just then. BUt he pushed all of those thing out of his mind. He wasn't letting her in and that was that. There was no more question to it.

"Don't waste your time on me" He told her. "I'm not letting you in, you might as well accept that." He said to her. "There's things about me that you wont' understand. And thats just that. Yes I like you, but you can do better than being around me so quit trying to get through the wall that I'm putting up." He finnished. Maybe she would just leave it at that.
