A few years back, there was a very sucessful PR called Hogwarts is Still High School. It spawned an entirely new site, which is still running, but was for more mature content that was unwelcome here. But I felt the need to resurrect this beloved RP, but bring a new spin on it... And if you were part of the origional, please, please rejoin. We all need a reunion, because it has been too long.

Hogwarts Is Still Highschool...

Relationships, love, and lies. Homework, classes, and professors. It's all part of a regular highschool, is it not? But look around, isn't it all the same here at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry? I do believe it is.

We all grow, and learn many things from school. Be it how to lie to get out of a late assignment, or how to attract the pretty girl in your potions class. And thats where our story begins...

This RP takes place long after the famous trio has left the school. Years infact. Their children are still here, 6th years infact. But new faces have appeared. The Tuck twins out of Wales have been known to be the musical masterminds, and resident heartbreakers. And Jay Kelley, Quidditch fanatic spends his days on the pitch, getting ready for his next match.

You're a regular student, and a not so regular school. And you go about your not totally regular day, doing completely irregular things. Get up, go to breakfast, go to class, chase the guy or girl of your dreams... and be a teenager. After all, this is still highschool.

Any personaly created character is welcome, just attatch a profile for them. And for the cannons, a picture will do, just to see how you feel the character should look. For the non-cannon, a brief profile of their name, age, house, looks, likes, dislikes, and a picture will be enough. But feel free to go indepth.

"I see your point," Teddy nodded, observing her worried face. "I mean, someone on the quidditch team like you should be excited to do something like this. But I understand the fact that you might want a little more experience before testing these out." He grimaced. What was Miss Isley trying to get at? That she wanted his support, his permission for her to do this? He barely knew the girl, so he ruled that out. "So, I suppose you might quit your summer job because of your anxiety? I'm sure there's many who would be dying to replace you. Such an opportunity is rare."

Really? Why did the cute ones always have to be so thick? She thought for a moment. Maybe there was an opportunity to save this conversation.

"Perhaps you are right." she said. "Honestly the thought never came to mind because I wouldn't have to slightest clue on who to ask to take over my place."

Ah, Teddy thought, forcing himself to not idiotically grin, She's trying to do you a favor, give you her job. Beginning nonchalantly, Teddy spoke, "Well, would the broommakers mind if you let someone more experienced take over? Someone more mature in age, maybe an actual flying instructor?" It took all he had to stop from jumping for joy at the prospect of taking her summer job. She offered it up so willingly and Teddy would never have said no to an offer this huge. He remained stoic, although on the inside his excitement was building. He took a sip of his goblet of orange juice as he waited for her reply.

"My job isn't actually with the broommakers. It's with a new quidditch team." she said. "You may have read in the Prophet about a large amount of land bought in California in the States... I have it on good authority that this is for that team." she explained. And by good authority she meant her source was herself... the one who had the job of making a quidditch team thanks to her crazy father.

"And I'm positive that the team owners would be absolutely delighted to have someone like yourself on board." she said brightly. She'd figure out how to break the news later that she was the team owner. But but the time she needed to share that information she hoped he'd already be wrapped around her finger.

"And since you were only looking at three brooms... I'm sure they wouldn't mind if you kept two prototypes for yourself since 5 were in the budget." she explained. "And would you like them shipped here?" she asked retrieving the catalog from the back of the magazine. "I believe they're only out of the question for students, but not for a man such as yourself."

Oh yeah. Brilliant save by Megan Isley! Too bad Aly wasn't here at the moment. She would absolutely love how coy Meg was being right now.

After taking Professor Binns's class for seven years," He glanced at the ghost of a teacher, who floated near the Headmaster as he ate his breakfast, "I've... well, let's just say I've hated reading ever since. Newspapers included." He laughed, glancing once again to make sure that Binns had not heard his unkind words. Binns meant well but never realized how boring and overbearing he was. "I'd be delighted to join the team," Teddy smiled, nodding slowly. "But I won't get my hopes up about the brooms just yet. I'd like to actually be on the team, have something set in stone, y'know?" Teddy reached out for his goblet, quite content as he took another sip. This morning had been rather pleasant so far. "Thanks," He nodded, tipping his goblet to her before taking another sip.

Meg let out a few polite laughs. Yes, humor would have to be another thing they worked on. "Well I'll come by your office when the brooms get in." she said. "If I send the owl off soon I expect they'll be here by dinnertime." she said casually. Oh yeah, they didn't make rich people wait. Won't he be surprised when she came by the office later with them. She gave him another winning smile and then turned around and headed toward Aly.

"Hey." he said sitting across from her best friend. "You'll never guess what I just did." she said in a sing-song voice.

"Ah, I love being me." she said grabbing a nearby cup and filling it with pumpkin juice. Step one of her little plan was a success.

Alyss shook her head and laughed. This is why the two of them were such great friends. What her best friend was going so sounded like something she would do. "Old men are great, aren't they?" she smirked as she picked up the magazine and flipped through it. "Boys and their toys."

Looking up from the magazine, she watched the owl fly away and looked to her best friend. "You really do have to tell me everything and how I can possible get in on it." She wasn't saying she was going to do anything, but opinions were nice.

"Well, you know everyone does want to be us," she laughed as she tossed the magazine aside and reached for her own goblet.

I don't have rounds tonight and my schedule is pretty clear at the moment," she replied as she glanced over to the Gryffindor table for a second before looking up toward the staff table.

Alyss had to laugh, she could have told Meg that. Alyss have her fair share of good things happen to her because of Quidditch and she didn't even play the sport.

"What time should I be there and what is our theme this year?" she smiled. There was no doubt in her mind that she won't be there. She was never one to turn down a good party.

"Hmm... you know what? I'm tired of plans. Let's just throw a party. A generic come as you are party. We've never done that before." she said. And it could be fun. "And since it seems like we're all making new friends this term, we should toss the invite list as well."

Now that would be different, but Alyss liked the idea of that. Simple. No one would really expect that of them. "I love that idea. No one will expect that of us and they will be surprised." Yes, they would again have one of the most talked about parties of the new year. But then again all their parties were talked about. "No guest list, well that could be interesting. But I'm sure nothing all that terrible could come of that." She was a bit concerned at just who would show up, but at least she wouldn't have to worry about seeing a certain Gryffindor there.

OOC: Oh eff. This is what happens when I get a bunch of days off work and I decide to go partying... I miss everything!

Matt laughed and shrugged. "Well, seeing as today is a short class day, I think we could swing by Hogsmead for a short shopping trip." He said, as he finished of his breakfast. His eyes watched as Meg chatted with Lupin, and clearly attempted her best flirting. Good, give him someone else to be stalking... Keep him away from Vic and I. He thought, laying down his goblet. "I'll run it by Kyle during class, but I make no promises." He yawned and looked over at his brither, who still loked less then thrilled about being alive at that moment.

Kyle finished up his breakfast and stood from the table. Sitting with Lex like that Made him uncomfortable, because he could see the look in her eye changing. He already knew she didn't have a date for the ball, and neither did he. But he wasn't about to go with her if his life depended on it. "Ill see you in class." He said before he left the great hall, and headed off to transfigurations.

Al woke up late. Very late. He looked at the clock, unable to believe that the time it read was actually the time it was. He jumped out of bed and quickly got ready for his day, then jogged down to the great hall for a quick breakfast before class. He still had to talk to Alyss to make sure they were still going to the ball together, and he had to check with Rose, to see what her plans were for that night. And if she was going to be a brat, and not go, he'd drag her anyway. He, Matt, and Vic had worked to hard to get her and Kyle together to have it fall apart now.

Victoire nodded, although she caught where Matt's gaze had gone. Was that Meg and Teddy? Those two were actually holding a conversation? They were complete opposites! Victoire began glaring before she realized what she was doing. Why was she getting protective? She assured herself that it was only sisterly affection that she felt for him, as they had known each other for years. Taking one last sip from her goblet, she wiped her mouth with a napkin before readying to leave, "Divination starts soon, and I have a while to walk. I'll try to catch up with Al. Hopefully he's in a better mood today." Rolling her eyes, she gave Matt a quick kiss goodbye before making her way down towards the other end of the Gryffindor table, only to find Al quickly shoving food down his throat. "Want to walk to Trelawney's together? We need to finalize a few things about our group project," She spoke smoothly, but there was an undertone that revealed that she wanted to talke about Rose and Kyle.

Al looked up as victorie approached. "Yeah, sure." He said, downing a glass of milk. He picked up his bag and followed her out of the great hall. "So, have you gotten anywhere with either half?" He asked, once they were out of earshot of the great hall. Kyle and Rose were both still inside, and he didn't want the over hearing. "Because I sure as hell havn't." He sighed and shook his head.

"Not really," Victoire sighed, shaking her head. "Matt plans to talk to Kyle this morning. And as for Rose, I need to make a quick Hogsmeade trip to get my dress. I know it's last minute, but it would be the perfect opportunity to talk to her. Which reminds me, have you talked to Alyss? Maybe you could enlist her to help me today, so she, Rose, and I could all go down to Hogsmeade together?" Victoire knew she was rambling, but she had so many ideas floating around in her mind that she knew one of them would be bound to work.
