A few years back, there was a very sucessful PR called Hogwarts is Still High School. It spawned an entirely new site, which is still running, but was for more mature content that was unwelcome here. But I felt the need to resurrect this beloved RP, but bring a new spin on it... And if you were part of the origional, please, please rejoin. We all need a reunion, because it has been too long.

Hogwarts Is Still Highschool...

Relationships, love, and lies. Homework, classes, and professors. It's all part of a regular highschool, is it not? But look around, isn't it all the same here at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry? I do believe it is.

We all grow, and learn many things from school. Be it how to lie to get out of a late assignment, or how to attract the pretty girl in your potions class. And thats where our story begins...

This RP takes place long after the famous trio has left the school. Years infact. Their children are still here, 6th years infact. But new faces have appeared. The Tuck twins out of Wales have been known to be the musical masterminds, and resident heartbreakers. And Jay Kelley, Quidditch fanatic spends his days on the pitch, getting ready for his next match.

You're a regular student, and a not so regular school. And you go about your not totally regular day, doing completely irregular things. Get up, go to breakfast, go to class, chase the guy or girl of your dreams... and be a teenager. After all, this is still highschool.

Any personaly created character is welcome, just attatch a profile for them. And for the cannons, a picture will do, just to see how you feel the character should look. For the non-cannon, a brief profile of their name, age, house, looks, likes, dislikes, and a picture will be enough. But feel free to go indepth.

Alyss shook her head and shrugged. "Well, you do know that if you do need anything, I'm seriously here for you," she voiced. They had been friends for a long time and nothing could really change that she did care from them, even if at time they did annoy her to no end. But that's what friends were for. "The offer stands if you do need anything, though. I am the house prefect and I am supposed to help out all students in our house with anything they need."

Kyle arched an eyebrow. "You're worried about me, for the hood of the Slytherine house?" he said slowly. He laughe and rolled his eyes. "Alyss, there was a time when you'd do anything for me." He gave a little extra emphasis to the word 'anything'. "So tell me this, what do you see in Potter? I mean, he's got some kind of a grudge against Matt, who's never so much as said Boo to the kid, and already punched him out once..." He shrugged. "I'm not really one to judge, I've dated some questionable characters after all. I'm just curious as to why you'd date someone who obviously dispises some of your best friends."

Landing expertly and swiftly gaining his balance, he trotted over to meet Victoire, who smiled at him in greeting.

Victoire had been searching for a familiar face, any familiar face, as she made her way onto the pitch. It was just her luck that the first person she was to encounter would be Teddy. "Hey," She began, grinning rather broadly at his windswept hair. "What brought you out here today? Didn't feel like socializing with the other professors in the staff room?" She laughed as Teddy shook his head, a smile appearing on his own face.

"'Course not," He began. "You know me; the quidditch pitch has always been like my second home. Unlike you, of course," He chuckled, causing Victoire to turn pink. Way back when Teddy had still been an underclassman at Hogwarts, Victoire had tried out for the Gryffindor quidditch team in order to try and impress him. She had made the team, but just barely. After a season's worth of humiliation, she had turned in her quidditch uniform and had quit. She had succeeded in impressing her then-boyfriend for trying, but Teddy preferred her to be happy rather than suffering in front of the goal hoops and the entire student body.

"Whatever," Victoire chided, crossing her arms over her chest. "Just make sure that you haven't lost your form... or that the charm in your broom hasn't worn out." She snickered playfully as their conversation continued.

Matt had been about to go speak with his girlfriend, when go figure, Lupin got there first. "This day can't get any better, can it." He said sarcastically to Joey, who snorted under his breath.

"Really though. He does know you're with her now, right?" He asked, circling his team mated.

Matt nodded, and took off again, landing beside Victorie. "Hey." He said plseantly, completely ignoring Lupin's presence. She was blushing, and smiling that flirty smile she'd given him at the welcome party. Either he'd walked in at the wrong time, or it was the perfect oppertunity to get him away from her. He didn't care who she spoke with, hung out with, or spent her afternoons with. But when it came to this guy, Matt had a terrible feeling that he had a different motive. He knew their history, and didn't trust the professor at all.

Alyss tilted her head slightly and smirked. Yes, Kyle could always see past her tricks and perhaps that was why they were still friends. "Oh, yes I do remember how I'd do anything for you, but times do change. Let's just say, I'll do almost anything for you hon." she replied. Time have changed for sure. "What I see in Al? Well, shouldn't I ask you the same question about you and Rose?" It wasn't hard to see how he looked at the redhead and that he liked her something serious. "I'm sure he had his reasons to disliking Matt. Merlin knows how many times I've wanted to punch Matt. Al isn't like any other guy I've met. Yes, he might despise Matt and all, but he accepts me and maybe that's a start." She didn't know how to really explain it, but she generally liked Al and the time they had actually spent together alone was special to her.

Or something else that you might not have picked up on because you're the most oblivious person I know?" He said, smirking a little. He was going to make her see that having a guy like her wasn't the end of thr world. Hell, she deserved it. And with any lich, he'd convince her to go to the Yule ball with him.

Kyle pouted. "Touche," He said, at her comment about why he liked Rose. "I didn't mean anything by it, I was just curious. In all the years I've known you, I've never seen you with someone who's so... Good. You date guys like me and Matt, and Jay even. Popular, rich, people who don't mind breaking a rule or two." He shrugged a little and crossed his arms over his stomach. "But I see what you mean. I've been with people who 'saw me for who I am', and let me tell you, it won't end well. They'll see a side they don't like, and then that'll turn them off from you...." He sighed. "Thats what happened to me and Julia anyway." He said softly. Julia had been a year older then he was, and in Ravenclaw. They'd been good friends all through school, and started dating in his fifth year. It ended the summer between sixth and seventh year, because she thought he cared more about his music then her. It wasn't true, of course. Kyle shuddered at the thoughts and brushed them away. "But who knows, maybe he'll be good for you. And I hope things go well." He stood from the chair he'd been sitting in, and stretched. "I'll be in the kitchens if Matt comes looking... Which he won't." He said, before leaving the common room.

"Of course he told me he liked me. I'm not that oblivious." Rose said clenching her quill. It snapped in half. "I tried telling him that I wouldn't mind getting to know him better... but he stormed off." she said after a few minutes of silence. "You see, liking someone without knowing them just isn't normal. Look at our parents. Nothing romantic happened with them until years after they'd already become friends." she said. And in case she hadn't made her point she added, "I think it's completely mental. And I can't do that. It creeps me out."

Victoire was a a bit surprised, albeit pleasantly, when Matt approached. He carried his broom in his hand and her eyes traveled across the pitch, only to find the rest of the Slytherin quidditch team practicing up by the goal hoops. "Hey," She smiled, giving him a quick squeeze before turning back to Teddy. Her gut sensed danger but Victoire managed to keep her small smile on her painted lips, which would hopefully salvage the situation. To her knowing, the last time the two men had spoken, they had been glaring daggers at each other. Maybe it would be different this time. Hopefully.

Teddy's smile faltered ever so slightly as Matt came to Victoire's side. He seemed a bit clingy, which unnerved Teddy quite a bit. When they had been together, Teddy hadn't seen the need to 'come to Victoire's rescue' when she was simply speaking to a friend, male or female. Matt seemed to be marking his territory, making a public challenge as he stood protectively by her side. "Long time no see," He spoke, a hint of humor in his tone. "Sorry about that little accident up there," Teddy gestured in the direction of their collision, "I just got a bit carried away. Haven't been on a broom in such a long time. You understand, don't you?"

Victoire tensed ever so slightly. Teddy seemed genuinely sorry for whatever crime he had recently committed, but she sensed the sarcasm expertly veiled beneath his friendly facade. She didn't dare look at Matt for fear that he would have a murderous expression on hisr face.

Al looked up at Rose again, this time with a look of shock. "Seriously?" He said, dropping his quill. "You're going to let him get away from you, because you don't know him well enough?" Al laughed, shaking his head. "Look at it this way. He's in his last year here, and once he's gone, he's gone for good. Their from Wales, we're from London. You'll probably never see him again. You dn't have time to do what our parents did. They knew each other for YEARS before something happened. You don't have that kind of time here... Just..." He sighed knowing trying to convince her of anything wasn't going to happen. "At least tell me this. From what you know now, do you like him back?"

Matt nodded once, looking blankly at the other. "Just keep your eyes open next time." He said flatly. He completely inderstood what Lupin was saying, but admiting it was something he wasn't going to do. He turned to Victorie, sighing a little. "Did you get anywhere with Rose?" He asked quietly. "I tried talking to Kyle, but he's still mopey. He's not himself, and refuses to listen to anyone. And he actually skipped class today... He never does that. I havn't seen him this broken up since Julia..."

"Like I said." Rose said getting out her wand. She repaired her quill. "I think that's mental. I don't like him. I don't know him." she said. Really, how many times did she have to repeat herself? "And yes, that is exactly what I'm going to do." she said in a 'that's final' tone.

Al groaned in fruatration. "Well will you at least get to know him to see if you like him or not? For the love of merlin, give the lad a chance!" He said, giving her a pleading look. He wasn't sure why he cares do much. Perhaps it was because Victorie had asked him to help out. Maybe it was because he wanted to see her happy. He sighed.

Teddy curtly nodded. As soon as Matt began whispering away, Teddy turned and went back to his solo practice. There was no use being around the happy couple at the moment.

Victoire crossed her arms over her chest, a bit disappointed at her own failure. "Not really. She just got upset. But actually, I have a bit of good news..." Looking over her shoulder to make sure that a nearby pair of students weren't eavesdropping, she began, "I enlisted Al's help. With any luck, he can get Alyss to help as well. He wasn't too keen, but he's ultimately doing it for Rose." Victoire wondered if Matt would be at all happy that Al was helping. Hopefully he would be, as Al didn't seem at all happy about semi-working with Matt.

Matt smirked a little. "The more help we have on this, the better." He said queitly. "I actually already spoke to Alyss. She's going to try and cheer him up a bit. And don't ask how, because I told her I didn't want details." He said with a shudder. He didn't know if she knew there was some history between himself, Alyss, and Kyle. Most people didn't. And he wasn't about to divulge that information now, unless she really wanted to know.

Victoire smiled, glad that he was happy with her work. "Excellent," She began, "I don't really know her too well, but if you trust her, then she should be alright." She noticed Matt shudder as she mentioned Alyss and her methods of cheering someone up. "I think I don't want to know either," She laughed softly, getting the hint. Her eyes travelled to Teddy, who was practicing some rather complicated tricks across the pitch from them. "What happened earlier? Did I miss another fight?" She pouted slightly, biting her lower lip. Why did men have to fight over women like they were property?

Matt laughed. "No, he just nearly knocked me off my broom." He said, leading her back to the change rooms. "So I guess that's my que to get out of here before I get myself hurt... Again." He rolled his eyes with a smile. "Anything you had in mind for today?" He asked.

Al sighed. "Ok fine. Whatever. Just, don't wait to long to get to know him. He'll move on, because he is who he is, and he can get anyone he wants in a heartbeat. Except you apparently." He said, packing away his things again. "I'm done for now though. I think their serving dinner soon, and I'm starving." he said, stretching. "You coming down too, or are you going to stay here and work?" He asked, sticking his hands in the pockets of his jeans.

Victoire had to laugh along with him. Whether or not he liked to admit it, Teddy could be quite clumsy at times. According to her father, Bill, that was a trait that Teddy had inherited from his mother, Nymphadora. "Oh, you mean besides making sure that our plan is foolproof?" She chided, taking a seat on one of the wooden benches in the changing room. "Nothing really. But don't your teammates still need you? I'd be happy to cheer you on from the stands."

Matt shook his head. "Nah. Jay isn't even here to give us our new plays, so I can't do much." He said sitting beside her. "Besides, it's too crowded to do anything properly. Both on the ground, in the air. It's a little crazy here today. No one had it booked, so everyone kind of flocked to the pitch I guess." He said lazily, looking around the familliar setting. There'd been many an after-game romp in this room with various people, and it made him laugh. "Our plan is foolproof though. She's going to fall in love with him... Even if I have to put my potions skills to the test." He said, looking over at her with a wink. "Of course, it wouldn't be so strong, as to make her mad. It'd be just enough so she'd see him for the great person he really is..."

Rose rolled her eyes. "Sure, I'm coming down." she said. "Just give me a second to pack my things." she said standing up and neatly piling things together. Afterward she placed everything in her bag. "Ready." she said.

Victoire nodded slowly as Matt spoke, until he mentioned the possible use of a love potion. "What?" Her eyebrows rose. "I know that Rose is a stubborn mule, but I don't feel right forcing a potion on her, or slipping it to her. Besides, isn't one supposed to be in a trance after taking amortentia? So even if she does take it, she won't remember the night anyways?" She pursed her lips as she thought conflicting thoughts. If only Rose could appreciate what everyone was doing for her; then maybe she wouldn't be so grouchy all of the time.

Al smirked. "C'mon then." He said, leading her down the stairs, towards the great hall. They walked along in silence, for the first time in so long. Normally, they'd be talking and laughing ar something, but ever since this year had started, Rose seemed a little different. Or maybe he was the one who'd changed. He brushed the thought as someone else joined them in the hall, a few paces ahead. Judging by worn looking jeans, and hoodie with some sort of gory logo on the back, ot was one of the twins. Which one it was, he had no idea... His hood was up. He just hoped it wasn't Matt.

Matt shook his head. "Not if it's brewed super weak. It just kind of makes her a little more attracted to him then normal. Believe me, it's been put in my drink more then once, and I remember EVERYTHING." He shuddered a little, and laughed. "I was kidding anyways. I'm sure Kyle wouldn't approve of me slipping her something, even if was for his own good. That, and she'd probably think he did it." He said flopping backwards on the bench, and folding his hands over his chest. "I just really hope she knows how to dance. He does, actually, we both do. Mum's all 'ohh, proper wealthy young men always know how to waltz' and spent an entire summer teaching us." He rolled his eyes. "Do NOT tell anyone that. I'm actually ashamed of that little fact."

Noticing the time, Kyle headed to the great all, as apposed to the kitchens. Matt would probably be down there anyway, if he wasn't off with Victorie on some sort of date. He walked passed a couple of people, not really paying attention to who they were, and silently wished that they weren't fans, friends, or anyone else who'd bother him. Most of all, he hoped it wasn't Rose. If there was one person he didn't want to look at right now, it was her. He pushed back the sleeves of his hoodie, and stuck his hands in his pockets, walking along silently.

"I guess it's alright then," Victoire shrugged and smiled lightly, partially at his explanation and partly because of his personal experiences. Victoire had never had a love potion slipped to her, but it was for the better. She had no desire to become a slave to another, whether the potion made her consciously or unconsciously perform the brewer's desired effects. Turning on the bench, she crossed her legs Indian-style as she faced Matt, who lay on his back. "Don't be ashamed," She cooed, but her smirk belied her true feelings. "Waltzing is a bit old-fashioned but it's nice all the same. My mum knows how to; she had to waltz at the Yule Ball when she was a triziward champion. But I've never had the inclination to learn, or the patience."

Matt laughed at her expression. "It takes months to get properly, especially for someone as clutzy as I am. I think I stepped on Lex's foot about a hundred times. Kyle picked it up right away though." He yawned and looked over at her with a small smile. "You know, there are times I think you slipped a bit of a love potion in my drink at that party..." He said quietly, reaching over and taking her hand in his.
