Rose sat through an agonizing class. She couldn't concentrate on anything. Once class was over there was still another thing to worry about. That dueling thing. Did she have to go? Well, she figured if she missed it then her cousin would know something was wrong. Maybe she'd have the opportunity to curse someone. That might make her feel a bit better. Meg gathered her things when class ended and was out the door the same minute that 'class dismissed' was announced. Just one more thing and this dreadful day would be over. The first day was always the hardest right? Luckily she hadn't run into Parker yet. She had no idea what she was going to do about that situation. She walked into the Great Hall for the dueling event. Looks like she spoke too soon. Parker was in there leaning against the wall. She straightened her sunglasses as if that would disguise who she really was. |
Jay tried to stifle a yawn as he tucked his hands behind his head but it didnt work out as well as the thought his eyes drifted to the front where Meg was sitting it was still odd. sure they had decided to try just being friends but for her to sit clean across the room and in the front was beyond out of the ordinary. Jay pulled out a piece of parchment and a quill and quickly and started to write a note but found himself caught by the dismissal of class he sighed as he tucked the parchment into his bag and gathered his things to leave class heading for the Great Hall and the dueling lessons that awaited everyone there. |
Al followed Rose to the dueling lesson in te great hall. Not that he needed it. His father taught him all he really needed to know when it came to charms, and defending himself. But he figured it'd be interesting, especially if he was paired with an older student. Perhaps he could finally prove to everyone that he was not as weak as everyone thought. He caught up to his cousin and looked down at her. "How's your head?" He asked with a smirk. He knew she was either going to smack him, stomp off, or scream at him, but still, he couldn't resist at least asking. Poor thing, she looked like hell. Kyle walked out of the days lesson, rather dazed. Matt strolled beside him, as they made their way to the great hall for dueling. "So, why are we going to this thing?" He asked, pushing his hair off his face. "Aren't quidditch try outs today?" He sighed, shaking his head. "So much for you rejoining the team." Matt shrugged. "If Kelley wants me back, he can ask me himself. He knows he lost Morgan and Perry last term. And he also knows that I'm better than anyone else in the house." He said smuggly. "Besides, seeing him beg me is too tempting to ignore." He laughed as the pair entered the great hall. He spotted Jay and the rest standing around, waiting for the lesson to start. "Why are we here again?" He asked. "I just asked you that." Kyle said flatly. "Oh." Matt shrugged again and leaned against the wall, throwing off the robe, and pushing back the sleeves of his dress shirt. A few of the younger girls giggled amongst themselves, batting their eyelashes. Matt gave them a wink, as Kyle all but died in a fit of silent laughter. |
Selena wandered into the Great Hall after class, for this dueling thing. She was curious, really. And, it seemed, as were most of her classmates. There was already quite a few people here. She sighed, looking around, then found and empty piece of wall to lean against while she waited for something to happen. The night before was still playing on her mind. Whether or not she should give Malfoy a shot. He'd been so nice, and everything, even walked her all the way up to the Ravenclaw Common Room... which was a LONG way out of the way for him, as the Slytherin common room was in the opposite direction. It had been a refreshing change. sigh |
Scorpius walked into the Great Hall there was more people there than he thought but that didnt bother he stood with the crowd and glanced around to see who all their he knew his gaze stopped on Selena and he smiled at her. jay leaned against the wall and closed his eyes for a few minutes man was he tired and he still had to have try outs to replace a few players who where no longer at hogwarts he grumbled and rubbed his face. |

Alyss gathered all her things and left her first class. One class down and so many more to follow. She was beyond tired but she would endure and do as she must. With her sunglasses still on, she continued with her day. ------ Checking her watch, Alyss walked into the Great Hall. She no longer needed the sunglasses, but she was still just as tired as she was this morning. She had contemplated not even showing up for the dueling lesson, but her Head of House was the professor and if she didn't show, she would surely hear from him and she did not want that. Glancing around for Meg, she made her way across the room and stopped beside her best friend. "Hey Meg." |
delete please. |

Rose looked up and acknowledged Al's presence but completely ignored the question. "Do you think that Megan would do me a favor?" she asked him quietly looking at the other girl. Why was she wearing sunglasses too? Weird. |
When she and Victoire entered the Great Hall, Abigail reached out and touched the older girls shoulder. "We'll talk about this later..." Rose was already there standing with Albus...and still had those oversized shades on her face. The girl obviously had a hangover...but why the attitude so early in the morning? Abby wondered if this had anything to do with Kyle...or the fact that she actually enjoyed herself last night. Her Weasley friend could really be a weirdo. Having a good time and enjoying some gorgeous guys company must have been frowned upon by her prudish parents. How ridiculous. Glancing towards the other side of the large room, Abigail noticed both Tuck boys were already present, as well. "You go ahead, Vicky. I think Im going to go say hey to some people." Not waiting for a response, she guided over to where said boys were standing, looking completely bored and unaffected. How Slytherin of them. As she neared them, the blonde offered her best coy smile. Matt, of course, was winking at a group of girls and showing off his arm muscles. Abby couldn't deny the fact that he was very attractive...but why'd he have to be so...insufferable. "Good morning, you two." She smiled at Kyle. "No hangovers, huh?" |
Quote:
She did hate to see Meg like this, but maybe it was for the best. Well for now at least. She just needed to stay close to her friend though. She wasn't truly sure if she could trust herself around the older Slytherin now. She would definitely need to keep her distance for the time being. |
Al frowned. "What kind of favour?" He asked equally as quiet. As much as he didn't want to admit it, maybe she should remember the nights events. And maybe, just maybe, Kyle wasn't so bad. He seemed to be a little less stuck up then his brother, who was subtly flaunting his devilishly good looks, and god-given body to a group of girls. He rolled his eyes a little. "Don't you dare think about asking her for a memory charm. Not only do I not trust her as far as I can throw her, I don't think you should completely erase the memories. You two seemed to be having a nice time before the... Well..." He looked her square in where-her-eyes-would-be-were-she-not-wearing-sunglasses. "Why don't you just try talking to him?" Matt smirked. "Hangover? What's that?" He laughed. He glanced the girl up and down quickly. Pretty little thing. Didn't Kyle ask her to the party? And how had he ended up with rose when this lovely specimine was mulling around, waiting for him? Hmm, maybe Kyle was turning into quite the player. Note to self, ask him about that later... Kyle laughed as well, shaking his head. "No, it'd take a helluva lot more then one glass to give me a hangover." He said with a smile. He glanced over at Rose, who'd just entered with Albus. She did not look pleased. Something told him, that maybe the note was a bad idea. "I don't think I saw you lastnight after. And sorry that I didn't go looking... " He said apologetically. "I got a little tied up..." His eyes darted from Abby to Rose, and back again, a soft smile on his lips. |
Quote:
"Don't worry you pretty little head about it. I was holed up in my room most of the night. anyway...More pressing matters to attend to." Her eyes found Matt again, offering him a suggestive smirk. Why not tease him a bit? He didn't need to know she'd simply been finishing a potentially dangerous potion. "Besides, there would have been only so much I could have done...actually being there. You did receive my note, I assume?" |
"Ladies and Gentlemen, it's time for us to begin!" Leo clasped his hands together and it echoed throughout the Great Hall. "First off, everyone take out your wands!" Leo gracefully pulled out his. "Today, well...let's face it, none of us want to do those stupid simple spells like 'Expelliarmus' and 'AAAAccio'... Where's the fun in that right!?" Leo scoffed. "No real life scenarios require serious measures, so in this dueling match anything will go! Except for Avada Kadavra." A little green spark came out of the end of his wand, "Whoops. Got a little excited." Leo laughed menacingly. "Now, first things first...who wants to volunteer for a demonstration? I'm sure there's a few of you out there who wouldn't mind sending a 'Crucio' my way!" He laughed again. Parker took out his wand. He was looking around. He noticed most of the people from the party, but kept his distance. He listened to the professor curiously. Were they actually going to be allowed to perform Unforgivable spells? Parker certainly didn't want to volunteer, he had Quidditch practices coming up. |
Victoire nodded to Abby, letting her go off to the Tuck twins. She rolled her eyes as she saw Matt trying to impress a group of younger girls. God, he could be such a prat sometimes. But she still couldn't help but laugh softly. Waving to the twins, she made her way over to her cousins. She crept up behind Rose, tapping her on the shoulder. "You know, the sunglasses make it more obvious," She smirked, ready for the backlash. But suddenly, the announcer had spoken. A small gasp came from the crowd. Unforgivables would be allowed? Victoire shrank back slightly from fear as she scanned the Great Hall, noticing that not a single soul came forward to try their luck. Stopping herself from nervously digging her teeth into her bottom lip, she took a deep breath and stepped in front of the crowd. "I'll volunteer," She spoke, her anxiety not at all evident in her calm demeanor. It was only a demonstration, right? |

Meg nodded to Aly. They'd talk about this later. But as for now they would probably have to pay attention. Unforgivables, eh? That could be fun. And a Weasley was volunteering? Interesting. Too bad she hadn't volunteered. She had successfully preformed the curse before. |
Matt waved back at Victorie, smiling ever so charmingly. He pulled his wand from his belt and began spinning it around in his hand, like a drummer dose with a drumstick. He was about to voulnteer, when Victorie stepped up first. Ahh, a brave one. Then again, she is a Gryffindor. He thought with a smirk playing at his lips. He pushed his hair off his face and leaned against the wall once more, to watch. Unforgivables, eh? Oh this could be a whole world of fun, especially if he was paired with someone he didn't particularly like. "Yeah, I did." Kyle replied, taking his wand from the sleeve of his hoodie. He laughed lightly at her comment to Matt, who seemed to preoccupied by eye-flirting with Victorie to much care. But a frown came over his face, as his eyes once again fell on the red-haired cousin of Matt's intrest. "I'm assuming she either didn't get mine, hasn't read it, dosn't plan on reading it, or read it and thinks I'm a complete idiot." He muttered, not intending for Abby to hear. Al heaved a sigh when she said nothing. He grabbed hold of her shoulder, spun her to face him, and removed her sunglasses. "Listen to me. I know I'm no expert in this area by any means. But you have NO reason to be embarassed infront of him. He was defending you... Taking care of you even." Wait, what was he saying? But he couldn't stop the words. Maybe he did want the pair to give it a shot. Watching the twins now, Kyle certiantly was the lesser of two evils. "Rose, honestly. Who cares if Kyle's in Slytherine. Your father works with theirs, and just from over hearing our parents gossiping about the rich and famous, apparently theirs is one of the more down-to-earth. I'm sure they'd get over it." Ge looked her dead in the eyes. "Victorie and Abby are right. Forget about the memory charms, forget about the party, and just talk to the boy!" He gave her a light shake, to emphasize the point, smiling a little. "Please?" |
Quote:
"I don't believe she read your letter, which I apologize for." Abby rolled her eyes, not caring if she did show her frustration. Rose was impossible! "You know, I have put too much work into this relationship already. I will not have either one of you botching it up!" The blonde had already been over this several times with her Weasley friend. Kyle was a good choice. What was so difficult about the situation? It wasn't like Rose's parents lived here at school with her. Realizing she might be coming off as a crazy person, she stopped to take a few breaths, trying to calm herself down. After a moment or two, Abby tried again. "Rose is as stubborn as a mule and a bit prudish, which are two traits that do not compliment each other. She won't let herself have any fun...but don't give up on her. I know you could be good for her." Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed Matt making eyes at Victoire. The blonde couldn't help the small chuckle the escaped her lips. He really stood no chance. |
Quote:
Parker applauded. He hoped Victoire would come out okay. Professor Lester was serious man and had seen a lot. But, Parker got excited about partnering up, maybe he'd get a chance to show Jay a thing or two. |
Kyle heaved a sigh, looking defeated and worn. "I've tried to get that girl to pay attention to me for the last three years. We've written songs, played acoustic shows in the middle of hogsmead village, and she hasn't even gave me a second glance." He said, trying to hide the shere dissapointment in his voice. "And lastnight, the only reason she spoke to me was because she didn't know who I was when I asked her to dance. Probably thought I was him." He pointed over at his brother who shrugged, giving a cheekey smile. "So I've pertty much given up on me being 'good for her'. She won't even look at me today... So why should I even care anymore." He rolled his eyes and sighed again. Hearing Kyle sound so broken down and low struck Matt hard. He never heard his brother talk like this. It was always 'give me ways to impress her' or 'put music to these lyrics, and we'll play it at school.' Kyle had always been optimistic, and thought that this-was-the-year-he'd-finally-get-her. "Aww, Ky, don't talk like that." He said gently, yet in stern tough love kind of way. "Man up and go talk to her. Thats all you gatta do. How else do you think I get girls flocking towards me?" "By being a popmpus, over confidant tool?" Kyle said flatly, yet sarcastically. Matt gave him a hard, you-don't-mean-that look and shook his head. "Not over confident. Just enough so that people don't think I'm anti-social, or that I don't have a holier then thou complex." He explained. "If you want her, go and get her. Don't let someone else rush in. This is our last year, and your last chance. If you don't actually TRY, you're not going to get what you want." He crossed his arms, knowing he was right. And he knew, that Kyle knew he was right too, even if he didn't want to acknowladge that fact. "I've been telling you this for years, bro." |

Not really waiting for a response, Abby stood and made her way back towards her friends. Rose still looked like she belonged in the muggle movie, "The Matrix", and Albus actually seemed irritated. Obviously, he'd been trying to talk to her about something she didn't want to discuss. It didn't take a genius...it was simply Al's way. "Hey you guys..." She withdrew her wand, preparing to witness this showdown between student and professor. Hopefully she'd get paired up with Rose for this lovely exercise...At this point, the blonde would have love nothing more than to knock some sense into her stubborn friend. |

Al gave a smile and sighed. Hey. he replied. He leaned down to his friend and shook his head. She`s being the most stubborn she`s ever been. She refeses to even speak to me, and will not look at Kyle even if her life depended on it. He gave a frustrated huff and spun his wand around in his fingers. Perhapse he`d get paired up with Kyle, or even Rose, so he could knock some sence into either. Because from the looks of things, Kyle was being just as hard to get along with as Rose was. |

The blonde turned her full attention on her best friend and glared. "Rose Weasley, take those glasses off and talk to me before I blast them to pieces!" She raised her wand threatening. "You know I will do it, you stubborn female..." |

" At the mention of unforgivable," Jay was suddenly aware and fully awake as he watched Victorie Weasley step up to demonsrate a duel against the professor. |
Quote:
Professor Lester put away his wand. He had a smirk on his face. "Of course, I am ready my dear." He felt absolutely confident. The chances of someone actually performing an Uniforgivable curse for the first time successfully would definitely not happen. "Let's get on with it, we certainly don't have all day Miss Weasley." Leo outstretched his arms side to side, making him more of a target. |
Victoire was slightly shocked. He wanted her to make the first move? He was being a cheeky little sod, wasn't he? Did he actually WANT to be crucioed? Victoire felt like she wouldn't be up to the task, but she knew that somewhere in this demonstration she might be forced to perform an unforgivable. She nervously looked around the crowd, seeing a grinning first year mouth "imperius!" her way. Well, that seemed like a good starting spell. As long as Professor Lester seemed willing... "Imperio!" She swished her wand about, an orange jet of light shooting from her wand directly toward Leo's cocky figure. |
This was crazy. They were allowing Unforgivables? Absolute craziness. Selena shook her head slightly in disbelief. As Victoire stood up to demonstrate, all Lena could think was, thank god it wasn't her! She watched the scene play out in front of her, and along with a lot of people in the room, her mouth dropped open as Victoire's first spell was an unforgivable. Though, she supposed it wasn't really a surprise... |
Quote:
"As you can see Miss Weasley, I suppose being a Griffindor isn't all about bravery, what would Uncle Ron think of such a pathetic attempt?" Leo shook his head and took out his own wand. "When you say something mean it! Make it your choice. Don't picture hurting someone else...picture hurting the person in front of you, and not because you want to, but because you can!" "Now, let's have two contenders step forward. We need a Slytherin...," he looked about the crowd and picked someone worthy from his own house, "Ah, Mr. Kelley, make our house proud shall we..." Leo smiled. The boy better do well. "And...how about a lady...You..." he pointed trying to think of the blond Ravenclaw's name... "Celeste...Sabrina...Miss Sloppy....Yes... Miss Sabrina Slop..." (ooc: alyweasley) He waited for the two of them to approach the stage. |
Abigail was still glaring daggers at Rose when she heard Victoire's overly feminine voice shout "Imperio". Her attention was quickly diverted towards the stage. She didn't think the older girl had enough anger to pull off an unforgivable...Prehaps she had been wrong. Maybe it was the clothes her mother had forced her to wear as a child. That alone would've been enough for Abby to cast any one of the unforgivables... Or maybe not. The curse was deflicted easily...Although the taunting was a little much. Prehaps he should get her good and angry...and then let her try again... |

What a shnoob. |
Alyss glanced up at the moment of Jay's name. Oh this was going to be very interesting. Moving closer to the stage, she craned her head slight to get a better view. She was sure Jay would do their house proud, but she still intrigued to see how it all went down. A part of her was happy, it wasn't her up there though. She could cast an unforgivable and mean it on any other day, but in the state of tiredness she was in at the moment, it would definitely be sub-par. Which would be unacceptable! She would settle for watching at the moment. |
Quote:
"Right each of you take position at each end of the stage and we'll see who's...whatever," Professor Lester wanted to be entertained, and so far he was not amused at all. Who did this guy think he was?, Parker thought. He couldn't believe how he was treating his fellow classmate. He had his wand in hand and crossed his arms. Parker knew Professor Lester favored his own house, but that gave him no right to speak to anyone like that! "Go Selena! Put that Snake in his place!" he cried out, hoping to give her some encouragement. Plus he would be more than happy to see Jay fall flat on his behind! |
Jay looked up when he teacher said his name. he had been doing well agaist the wall where he thought he was blending in nicely but obviously he was wrong in that asumption. Jay walked over to the designated dueling area.and confidently readied his wand. |
Rose continued her stubborn streak as she refused everyone's appeals. She was NOT going to embarrass herself again. But seeing as they were dueling that would most likely not be the case. She busied herself by looking at the demonstration full of interest. Meg watched as one of the Weasley girls failed. Not surprising. Jay was called next. She wondered if he'd fare better. That weird girl that was also up front probably wouldn't. Meg of course wondered who she'd be paired with. Hopefully someone that she could get away with cursing. |
Matt frowned as Victorie's attempt at cursing the professor failed. "Better luck next time, love." he said as she walked past him, flashing a smile. Pitty she didn't get it the first go. This guys was out of his mind. He may be his head of house, but Matt still didn't think a whole lot of the professor. As Jay's name was called, Matt smirked. He knew his housemate would blast the competition away... Literally. Kyle watched in amusement as Selena stepped up to the stage, and ever corrected the professor. For someone so shy, she had an air of confidance that sparked an intrest in the lesson. Especially as she was paired with Jay. He continued to spin his wand around his fingers, thinking of what charm or curse he'd use when his name was called. A smirk spread across his lips as he found the perfect curse... One he'd read about ages ago, and had been dying to try. Al pouted as Rose continued her stubborn streak. If the girl would just listen to reason, even twenty percent of the time, she may not be quite so insufferable. He sighed, and watched as Victorie took her stance and prepared to duel the professor... who was making himself quite the target. Ahh, Slitherine's. How he hated them. His jaw nearly fell off when she took the suggestion of a first year, and used an unforgiveable. Victorie Weasley, being.... Bad? Why, this was next to unheard of! Unfourtnatly, he spell was quickly and easily deflected, and she was sent on her way again. "Too bad it never worked." He muttered as she resumed her blace between himself and Rose. "This guy is really getting on my nerves..." OOC: Just a bit of shamless self promotion.... I started a new RP based around The Breakfast Club, called Detention Hall(... Oh how origional can I possibly be!// NOT>.<). New players are greatly accepted, should you feel the urge to start a new one! :) |

Probably not... sigh. |
Jay watched as Selena nervously readied herself even though he would have to admit she looked more like she was accepting defeat before they even started. He was familiar with the unforgivables in more than just theory but that was a bit of information not even his close friends knew. But that didn't mean he particularly cared to hurt a school mate for the purpose of a simple in class demonstration. Maybe he would take it easy on her .... maybe.. maybe not... |
Quote:
"Locomotor mortis!" she said finally, no where near enough strength in it to make her happy. And... to top it all off, her aim was off too. The stream of light sailed straight passed Jay. "Damn," she grumbled to herself. |
Jay arched his brow when the spell sailed right past him was this for real? It wasn't much of a challenge dueling against someone that seemed unable to aim straight. He awnted to laugh to be honest but he decided better of it. " Imperio." he gave his wants a steady flick and sent the same unforgivable towards her as the Weasley girl had tried it was the safest of the unforgivables and he doubted he would get another chance to use one with out severe consequences. |

Victoire gave Matt a small smile as she passed him by, embarrased and hanging her head as she took her place between her two cousins. "Git," She mumbled, speaking of Lester. Her eyes traveled towards the stage, wondering what would happen with the new students up there. Would one of them perform a successful unforgivable? |
jay continued to hold the spell steady as she slowly gave in he could have had a lot of fun with this but he chose not to he did after all invite her to the party the previous night it might have looked a bit odd tormenting her now instead he settled with simply having her admit defeat by willingher drop her wand to the floor carefully then sit down on her knees he kept the spell on her just long enough for the otheres to realize that it was infact his spell keeping her there then he lifted the charm and in an drastic and very unlike Jay manner he took a couple steps her direction and held out his hand to help her up off the floor. |
Quote:
"Nice one," she murmured, graceful in defeat. |
Matt clapped slowly, showing he wasn't totally bored with the small display. Jay could have done better then that, especially with that many students watching. Meg most of all. The fact that the other had preformed a sucessfull unforgiveable was impressive to say the least. Matt didn't think his house mate would have had it in him to actually use one, and do it properly. Props to him. He noted Victorie's smile and pushed himself off the wall with his foot, walking towards her and her cousins with his hands in his pockets. "Good day." He said politely, with a flirty smile. "You all are attending the Hogsmead trip this weekend, I assume." He said looking between them all. |
The corners of Victoire's mouth turned down as she frowned, seeing that Jay had defeated his opponent. Sure, he had performed the spell incredibly, but Victoire had been rooting for the female. "Of course, Kelley has probably been practicing these spells for years," She scoffed. What Slytherin family didn't give their children training in the Dark Arts before they hit puberty? The Kelley family definitely didn't seem like an exception to the tradition. After the match was over, Victoire's gaze glided over and noticed that none other than Matt stood in front of their little group. "Good day," She answered, her frown returning to her usual cheery smile. "I-I mean, we all are," Victoire had changed the direction of her sentence. She knew that Rose usually stayed behind to study, but Victoire wasn't going to let Rose bypass this next Hogsmeade trip. She knew there was a chance that she could cause Rose to simply "bump into" Kyle on their little trip, and then "lose her" in the cobbled streets, giving them some much-needed alone time. |
"Excellant." Matt said with a devious grin. He could tell that both he and the blonds were thinking on the same lines. "My brother and I have an acoustic preformance planned at the Hogs Head. Hope to see you all there." His eyes fell specifically on the blonde again, smile softening to a gentle, and shockingly sweet one. "Coffe is on me." Kyle was about to compliment Jay's preformance, when he noticed that Matt had gone off again. This time, over with the Weasley girls, and Potter. Oh Merlin, what is he doing now? He thought, looking away and running a hand through his hair. If he knew his twin as well as he thought he did, he was most definitly trying to plot a way to get him to talk to Rose. Well, that wasn't happening. If she didn't want anything to do with him, which was obvious, he was just going to burry everything again, and ignore it... Like he had been doing... For the last three years. Al looked the slitherine up and down disapprovingly. "Good for you." He said sarcastically. He really did not like this guy. His cocky attitude got under his skin. And the way he openly flirted with everyone who looked at him was disgracefull. No wonder the guy couldn't hold down a steady relationship! "I'll be sure to leave a generous tip for the starving artists." Al spat, looking over the pther once more. Hmph, perfect. Yeah right. He thought bitterly, crossing his arms over his chest. What on earth did Victorie, or anyone else see in him? |
"We'll be there, definitely," Victoire nodded, still grinning as she looked over to see Rose's and Al's responses. Rose seemed mute at the moment; maybe her hangover had taken control of her communication skills. But Al was being his typical, prickish self once more. Victoire rose an eyebrow as she looked at Al, questioning his actions. "Play nice, Al," She spoke, a hint of severity in her voice. She knew that Al was being protective, but this was a little too much. |
"I am, Victorie." He replied, just as sever. He did not want his cousin dealing with this trash. Matt gave the other a cool smile, arching an eyebrow. "It's fine love." He said to Victoire, while still looking at Al. "It's nothing that can't be delt with peacefully." |
"Right, I guess that was okay," Leo said as he rolled his eyes. "You guys aren't taking this serious enough." Leo wanted to get them angry. "If this was the real world, then you certainly wouldn't make it a second." Leo was getting a headache. "Who really wants to hurt someone? Who wouldn't mind facing off against Jay here?" Parker looked around, this was as good a times as any. "I'll do it," Parker said as he stepped on stage to take Selena's place. "Let's go Snake!" Leo wasn't going to object, clearly there was some animosity between the two, maybe this would be a good fight. Leo stepped down off the stage and let the two of them happy. |
Hearing Parkers voice taunting Jay, and the professor not care, Mat whipped around, glaring. His eyes shot to Jay, who looked like he was going to kill the boy. "Professor, I'd like to take Jay's place." He said, looking him in the eyes. "Everyone should get a fair shot, yeah?" |
Quote:
Her head whipped back towards the stage. Parker and Jay... together? This would probably turn out into an all-out fist fight. Her eyes scanned the crowd for Meg, wondering how she would react. Maybe she would take her usual, git-like, indifferent manner. It wouldn't surprised Victoire one bit. She became less tense as Matt volunteered to participate, doing the right thing. She just hoped that Lester would comply. |
Al glared back. Once Matt became distracted he leaned down to her level, leaning close to her ear. "He's bad news Vic. You can do so much better than thst little punk." He whispered, to avoid Matt over hearing. "I don't want you turning into one of them." He stood straight again and shook his head slowly. There was no need for his cousin to be chacing this pompus jerk, especially when there were guys throwing themselves at her. She had the veela thing to help with that. |
Victoire hissed right back at Al. "Sorry if he's not up to your standards," She spoke menacingly, the fierce veela blood evident in her stance, facial expression, and tone of voice. "But I can make up my own mind. Besides, remember who the older, more responsible one in the family is." Victoire knew it had been a low blow to use her age advantage, but it was all that she had come up with. |
Al groaned in frustration, running both hands through his hair. "Fine. Let yourself get hurt. See if I'll pick up the pieces when he ends it after he gets what he wants." He hissed back. Why were the women of his family so insufferable!? First Rose was being difficult because of her incident the night before, and now, because he was looking out for her, Victorie was all up in his face! Good grief! This was the reason he never had a girlfriend. He could never seem to get the right combination of words that didn't make them angry. He rolled his green eyes and looked away from his cousin again. |
Victoire had nothing more to say. After Al had evidently ended their debate, Victoire stubbornly crossed her arms over her chest as a rather frustrated "hmph!" came from her lips. She turned away, her eyes focused on the stage once more, her face still fierce with anger. It was a good thing that Rose was between them, otherwise Victoire might have slapped Al right then and there. |
Keeping her eyes on the platform, a smirk formed on Alyss' face as she watched Jay at work. She wouldn't have expected any less from him. She just wondered what would have happened if the duel had continued one. Just about to walk back to Meg, she heard Parker volunteer to go against Jay. A huge smirk formed on her face. Now that was something she really wanted to see happen. It was definitely make the lesson more worthy of her time. If whatever those to held against each other couldn't be solves on the pitch, maybe this was the arena that it might be resolved on. She just wanted to see a great duel and with those two involved, it was pretty much guaranteed to be a great one. Rubbing her hands together, she waited to see if the professor would allow it. |
Jay gripped his wand a little more not to tightly but a little more firmly than he had when he was dueling the girl. He arched his brow and cast a vicious glare towards Parker the whole idea of trying to be nice for Meg's sake was out the window the same second the Ravenclaw quidditch captian opened his big mouth. " Honestly Parker I figured by now you would have come up with something that was actually insulting." He smirked jay was actually a lot clamer than he had been at the party and he was able to keep his usual cool and collected demeanor other than the bitter glint in his glare Jay looked relaxed and uneffected By the other guys taunts. |

Meg's jaw dropped as the first spell Parker cast was Crucio. She had no idea if Parker's spell would even do any damage. But, he had no doubt that Jay's would. She wondered if her shield charm would be strong enough to combat anything Jay would throw. Oh, what was Jay going to do? What was she going to do? Rose watched as an unexpected torture curse was cast by the Ravenclaw quidditch captain. Oh, this was not going to be good. |
Matt ran a hand through his hair as the boys started their duel anyway. Great. Now one of them was either going to get really hurt, or die. And if it was his captian then he was going to flip. They had a game in a few days... Not that he'd been asked to join the team, but he knew it was coming. Kelley was probably just feeling to ashamed to ask him. Whatever. When parker cast the torture curse Matt's heart sank a little. With any luck, the ravenclaw would be to nobel to cast a proper unforgiveable. |
Victoire shrank back slightly; Parker had cast the curse with such force and such ferocity of tone that she knew that Jay stood almost no chance of dodging it. What would happen? Victoire had never seen someone be hit by the cruciatus curse. This might scar her for life, to see someone writing in pain as she had read it to be in books. |
Out of the corner of his eye, Matt noticed the blonde shy away from the stage. He stepped backwards beside her and looked down from over his shoulder, reaching out and taking her hand discretely, as not to upset Albus. He laced his fingers between hers and gave her a sincere smile, rarely seen by anyone other then family and close friends. There was something about the girl that made him want to drop the tough-guy act, and repent all his former actions. It was probably the veela in her, but whatever it was, it was doing him good. |
Victoire continued to observe the stage hesitantly when suddenly, she felt another hand grasp hers. Looking out of the corner of her eye, she noticed it to be none other than Matt. But there was something different about him, something softer in his countenance. Victoire reciprocated his dazzling smile. Something felt all too familiar about this moment. It reminded Victoire of when she and Teddy began to date, that first spark. And just like Teddy, Matt seemed to be the typical rebel on the outside but sweetheart on the inside. And that was perfect. Victoire squeezed his hand lightly, her serenity having returned. She turned her head the other way and thankfully, Al & Rose were viewing the duel just the same as before. |
Feeling her hand tighten around his set Matt's mind at ease. He hadn't felt so at ease or peaceful in a long time. Even with the girl from their band back home. He watched as she looked to see if either cousin was watching, smirking a little to himself. Something told him that neither of the others were fond of him. And it wasn't just Al's hostility not long ago. But if things were going as well as he hoped they were, Rose and Al would have to suck it up. If things got to where he wanted them, he wasn't going to go anywhere any time soon. Al was watching the match, mouth hanging open slightly as the first curse was cast. And from Parker, and unforgiveable. His heart sank when he heard the malice in the ravenclaw's voice, knowing it would be a success. Neither of his cousins were looking away, though Victorie shrank away a little. He was about to say something to her, when his eyes fell on Matt. Was he... Holding her hand? Oh that was it. The next match would be the two of them, and that guy was going down. Having the famous Harry Potter for a father ment knowing every spell, every curse he knew. And he had the perfect one to use on this snake. His hand gripped his wand a little tighter, anticipating the prefessor's request for new participants. |
Jay felt the unforgivable hit him directly and the sudden sharp pain forced him to tense up. But he didn't scream he wouldn't give Parker that satisfaction even if his life had depended on it. Jay struggled agains the pain inflicked by parkers spell. By the look on his face it was evident Parker's spell was sucessfull but still jay wasnt giving anyone there the privledge of letting them see the ravenclaw break him. " Furnunculus " he hissed through clenched teeth shooting the rather nasty spell back at Parker. |
Victoire let her gaze drift back to the stage once more, not feeling as skittish about the situation as before. But then Jay was hit, and it was hard to watch. It was obvious that he was struggling, and the spell that came from his lips seemed to be mouthed, not even spoken. She wasn't sure whose side to take. If Meg had any morals, she would have stopped them then and there. |
Meg watched in horror. What in the world was she going to do. She was almost positive Parker would have no training to deal with Jay. She on the other hand... Would Parker freak out? Possibly... She jumped up. "I'd like to take over Professor." she said ready to push Parker out of the way. Fantastic. She just volunteered to duel her Daddy was not going to happy about this. Rose just stared in amazement. First unforgivables. And now whatever was going on with that Megan girl. This year was just getting weirder and weirder. (And it was only the second day.) She looked around. She only just then noticed Matt with Victorie. Great. Now there was no way she could avoid Kyle. |
Selena's eyes widened at Parker's spell. Okay, so she didn't like Jay, but still, NO one deserved that particular spell. Everyone else in the room looked shocked as well. Her eyes, along with everyone else's, went to Meg, to see what she would do... and she delivered. Annabelle had been standing at the back, watching. She was a little disgusted by her brother doing that to that girl, but what actually happened to Jay made her gasp. She watched her brother's face contort slightly, and then he tried to cast another curse at the other guy. Oh dear god! |
Kyle couldn't take watching the agony on Jay's face for much longer. And the professor was clearly only looking for a good fight. Both Meg and Matt had tried to stand in and take the places of either boy, but the he didn't seem to be taking any action. He just stood aside with his arms crossed, and a smug look on his face. If he isn't going to do something soon, he's going to send his own house's Quidditch captian in the hospital wing before the first Match. Kyle thought, still spinning his wand around his fingers anxiously. This professor is a madman. Unforgiveables are illegal for a reason, and he is letting us use them openly? Hm, Headmaster will not be pleased, nor let him keep his position if he found this out. He paced the front of the stage slowly, like a few other students were doing. Someone has to stop this. Matt was watching Kyle, as he paced. The way he was eyeing Parker, and the professor was not a look Matt liked. His eyes were narrowed, and focoused, and he knew the look all too well. He was Probably going to try and do something. Because evidantly, the man in charge of this thing was just here for a good laugh, and not to teach the proper dueling conduct. It was almost disgusting how much enjoyment the professor was getting out of this. He shook his head, biting his lip. He hoped that Kyle wasn't going to do something stupid. His hand tightened a little around Victorie's, expression turning worried. "Is he going to stop this, or is he going to get Jay killed?" He muttered the the girl, eyeing the professor. |

Alyss' eyes literally grow as she saw the unforgiveable hit Jay. That was really unexpected. She would have never expected Parker to have cast that, Jay on the other hand, was a different story. The look on Jay's face, troubled her. She could tell he was struggling and that really troubled her. She was concerned for him, why she didn't trully know but no one should have to endure that in front of a crowd. Parker must really mean it. Bitting her lip, she moved toward the front more. Why was the professor allowing this to happen? Hearing Meg, she looked over and saw Kyle as well. "Mine is decent, if that matters." she said in a whisper. She had cast it over the summer once or twice over the summer, it was pretty decent but it wasn't as if she had tried it on a person before. |
"Strong, but I've got another trigh or two up my sleeve." He muttered in reply. "Matt's got the strongest unforgiveables out of anyone I know. If you want someone to stop them, without hurting them, get him." He said, looking over at Meg. He knew the girl didn't particularly care for his brother, but if she really cared for Jay, or Parker (Who she was with now was a little up in the air) she'd suck it up and go talk to him. |
"Well, if this doesn't work I'll go to him personally." Meg said. She doubted they'd need his help. Three Imperiuses shouldn't be too bad. "I've got Jay." she said aiming her wand. "We can start with something subtle. That way we know we have control. Maybe like... make them take a few steps backwards?" she suggested. |
Kyle shook his head. "No break their concentration first. I'll take Parker." He said, readying his wand. He forcoused hard on the boy, waiting for the go from Meg. He hoped, with any luck, that he could pull out an Imperius half as strong as Matt's. If he could, they might have a chance at stopping this madness that was supposed to be a duel. |
"Right. Aly take the Professor if you can." Meg said. She readied herself then brought a hand to her mouth and whispered "Imperio." Jump backwards... jump backwards... jump backwards... she concentrated on Jay jumping backwards. If her curse worked he would. From there stopping this madness would be easy. |
Kyle nodded, pointing his wand at Parker discretely, muttering "Imperio" very softly, yet with enough force to know it would work. Lose your concentration, focous on Meg. Lose your concertration, focous on Meg. He thought over and over again, trying to make Parker do what he told him to. Matt took notivce of Meg and Aly talking to Kyle. This was not going to end well. With those two girls, something was clearly going to happen. He adverted his eyes from the match, knowing what the three were planning on doing. Kyle wasn't forcefull enough to cast an Imperius charm strong enough to control a guy like Parker, and he felt like he should step in. But the look in his twins eyes was that of pure concentration and dertermination. Maybe he'd shock everyone.... And impress Rose. Have at it, bro. He thought with a light smirk. She's watching. And gryff's like nothing more then to see a nobel act. Keep it up... She'll notice. |

"I think he's got it. I know Meg does. And Aly... I'm not sure." Matt whispered to her. "I just hope Kyle has it in him to pull off what I think their doing." He said, eyes returning to the three. "If not I'll have to go help him out." He readied his wand in his right hand once more, his left still holding Victorie's, and he wasn't about to let ho unless he had to. Dispite the tension in the room, her hand in his was making him feel much calmer. |
Jay had began to feel shaky but stood his ground wih Parker still refusing to give in and scream. " That...the..best...y..you.. Got...Ewing?" Jay's taunt came out strained. It was going to take more than an unforgivable for Parker to humilate him. Then Jay felt something hit him from somewhere else " what the.." he thought then glanced to his left and saw Meg's wand directed at him too. So she is trying to make sure Parker succeeds... Jay glared viciously at her as his legs struggled against her determined stance and eventually he was forced to take a few unsteady steps backwards. |

" LET GO MEGAN!" Jay forced the words out as he struggled to keep control of his wand. "n...n.Now" The strain of struggling between both curses and trying to keep his composure had caused him sweat just a bit. |
Parker barely dodged Jay's spell and went into a roll, but his wand focused on Jay at all times. He wasn't about to stop this spell, it was too brilliant. And then something hit him in the back of his mind, Megan...she wouldn't want you to... Professor Lester looked pleased at the Ravenclaw's skill, it's just what he was expecting. But, then he heard voices whispering to destroy this student's brilliant spell. With that pleasure in mind, "Expecto Patronus!" he shouted as a silver panther came bolting out of the end of his wand circling around the two dueling students, blocking any other spells. In an instant, his thoughts about Megan were gone, well not completely, but then he noticed something silver circling around them. He got distracted and finally broke the curse. "Dang you boy!" Professor Lester shouted. "That was a perfectly good curse and you broke it!" He leaped up on the stage and gave Parker a pat on the back, "But, that was bloody brilliant, you sure did live up to...well, I actually didn't have many expectations for you, but well done..." Leo began to clap. He gazed on the faces of the other students, some of them looked like they were in shock, others like they were going to kill him. "20 points to Ravenclaw...and Jay, you will be serving detention with me for a month!" He looked at the two boys and pointed to the ground for them to get off the stage. Parker was mixed in emotions. What did he just do? He felt like he was going to be sick. As soon as Professor Lester said that they could leave the stage he jumped off and left the Great Hall. Professor Lester was disappointed to see such a fine combatant leave, but he remembered the first time he tortured someone how difficult it was. Anyways, he still had a few students left. "Right, Mr. Ewing did a fine job with the Cruciatus curse. I think that will be all for the day, though you are able to practice freely for the next 15 minutes under my supervision if anyone else wants a go?" |
OOC: Okay how the heck is this even close to fair? BIC: When the spell finally lifted Jay dropped to his knees and looked at the floor trying to collect himself. Until he heard the Professor anounce to the class he was going to be having detention for a month. What the heck.. detention for a month for defending myself against Parker. Jay took a deep angry breath and pushed himself up off the floor as Parker hopped off the stage and Professor Lester turned to address the class every ill feeling he had ever felt mixed with the sudden white hot hate he felt for the professor was brewing dangerously to the surface. " Crucio!" Jay cast straight at the man all of his feeling blasted out of the end of his wand straight into Lester's back. |
Alyss looked down at her wand in shock. Her unforgiveable didn't even do a thing. How was that possible and better yet, what had just happened? They was no way Parker was that good. She couldn't believe and wouldn't either. Sliding her wand back into her robe, she glanced at her house head. She knew there was a reason she never liked him in the slightest. If she didn't know better, one would think he was the Ravenclaw head and not the Slytherin head. Shaking her head, she crossed her arms across her chest. The whole thing was a joke, rolling her eyes as Parker jumped off the stage. A huge joke. Just then, she noticed Jay pointing his wand at Lester. 'Oh, this isn't going to turn out well', she thought as she saw the unforgivable being cast. Now that was the Jay she knew, a small smirk formed on her face. Quickly she covered her mouth to act as if she was surprised, but laughed softly to herself. It was a bit amusing and all, well at least now that the tables were somewhat turned. |
OOC: *Agrees with Jay* BIC: Kyle was drained when the professor finally broke up the fight. His spell had no effect on the Ravenclaw, which disheartened him even more then normal. He knew Rose had been watching, and had wanted so badly to impress her. But that didn't go over so well. After hearing they were all dismissed, he turned on his heel and left the room, grabbing his bag from the floor. He didn't even notice when his sketch pad fell to the floor, sending loose sheets of paper, and finished artwork everywhere. He shook his head as he left the room. Jay tries to defend himself, and gets detention for a month, and Parker tortures a boy and gets praised AND private lessons with the professor. Now that was hardly fair. It was clear that this 'Professor' wasn't here for the same purposes as most. He was almost to the door when he heard Jay’s voice curse the professor. Yeah, it was uncalled for, but somewhere in the back of his mind, Kyle felt he deserved it. But he stopped dead in his tracks and spun to watch as Matt’s voice began ranting, very pointedly, over the crowd. Normally Matt wouldn’t have cared, so why this time? He crossed his arms over his chest and watched the spectacle that was Matt acting like a human. Appalled by the ruling and unlawful use of professional power, Matt shook his head, a look of disgust on his face. “Sir, he was DEFENDING HIMSELF AGAINST AN ATTACK!” He retorted angrily, letting go of Victorie’s hand and walking towards the stage. “That’s the entire point of dueling! You attack, and defend. You can’t set up a proper duel and then detain the student who was trying to defend himself from the onslaught! That’s completely hypocritical!” Matt had reached the stage just as Jay had cast his unforgiveable at the professor. “Jay! What are you doing?” He yelled, forcing his housemate’s wand arm down. “He’s a professor, a terribly biased one, but a professor none the less! Are you trying to get yourself expelled!?” Why he was stopping Jay, or even cared was beyond him, but still, he gave the other a shove away once again. “If you should be cursing anyone, it’s Parker.” He muttered, only loud enough for Jay to hear. His eyes were icy, and his look stern. If no one else cared enough about the wellbeing of the students, he might as well stand up and try to keep them from killing each other. “Jay, I’m not going to keep trying to stop you from killing someone every time someone pisses you off. But I will not see a fellow housemate, and one-time friend, expelled for using an unforgiveable on a TEACHER.” He said quietly to the other. “Leave now, before this gets uglier, and you face more then just a detention.” It wasn’t a request. It was more or less an order. Even though he knew he had no power over the other boy, with any luck, he’d realize that Matt was doing him a favor and listen. After all, it was the least Matt could do, after the way their friendship had ended years ago. Matt turned his attention back to the professor, who was on his knees on the floor. “Listen. I’m no expert on this subject, but I have attended dueling classes with Masters. This ‘practice’ is the farthest thing from fair I have EVER seen. You pin two students, who clearly feel some hostility for the other, against one another, and let them use unforgiveable curses!? That alone is a reason to fire you.” He said, holding up a finger to emphasize the point. “Not only that, but you reward the student who actually used a unforgiveable, WHICH ARE ILLEGAL, and give the one who was being brutally tortured detention.” He put up a second finger. “Another reason to the removal of your job. Third, you are supposed to be teaching us the proper technique for dueling, not doing this for your own sick amusement.” He put up a third finger then dropped his hand “Headmaster will hear about this. And being who I am, I can easily make the threat of losing your job a reality. All I need to do is owl my father, and you’re history.” His voice was cool and steady, very much like his father. “After all, he is head of the Department of Witch/Wizard Welfare, and a very, VERY prominent figure in the ministry. And if the headmaster won’t fire you, the Minister will.” He gave the professor a pointed look and turned to leave. He hated using his status and parentage as a threat, but something had to be done about this guy. He was clearly out of his mind. |
Meg sat stunned. First Jay figured out who had cursed him. Okay, that hadn't been a big surprise. She was one of just a few holding their wands. But then he got detention! That was completely uncalled for. And now Jay was trying to curse the Professor. She elbowed Aly. "I think this calls for a letter back home. What on earth is going on here? Daddy's going to have a fit." Rose didn't quite know how to react. All she wanted to do was to get out of there as quick as possible. She looked at Al hoping he felt the same way. Maybe nobody would notice if little Rose slipped out. |
Victoire released Matt's hand instantly, shocked by the situation. This was turning into a complete madhouse! She wasn't sure whether to react with pleasure or disgust at seeing Lester kneeling on the ground. Sure, he had deserved every bit of pain he had received, but was it really right to fight fire with fire? As Matt made his lengthy speech, Victoire couldn't help but place her manicured hand over her heart in amazement. This was so noble, so unexpected. Recovering after a moment, she turned to Rose and Al. "Let's go," She murmured, motioning them towards the door. |
Al had to admit, Matt's speach, and threat was very convincing. He was a good speaker, and would probably win any debate. And shockingly enough, he was very smart, and sounded a lot more educated then he looked, and even acted like. That gained him a few brownie points, but he still didn't like the guy. Al nodded in agreement with Victorie and led the way out of the room, passing Kyle on the way. He gave a curt nod, and simply walked over the scattered drawings and open sketch pad on the ground. Clearly the other boy didn't notice either. Kyle laughed to himself a little as Matt called their father's power into play. Smooth move... NOT. Now he was probably going to earn his own detention, or at least a few deducted points. Threatening a teacher's job? That was just as bad as cursing them. Though, his twin did have several good points. What the professor was doing was on the less legal side of things. As he turned to leave again, he returned Al's nod and left the room, before Rose could pass him by... Again. As Victorie and her cousins walked by, Matt took her hand again, keeping pace with her. "Sorry." He said gently. "I hate having to act like a spoiled little rich kid, and I hate bringing my parents into this even more." He shook his head. "But someone had to say something to that guy. I'm shocked Al didn't mention Harry... I figured if anyone was going to have some kind of ministry pull other them me and Ky, it'd be him." He sighed and shook the thoughts again, smiling down at her softly. "Do you want to get out of here for a while? Weather's still nice." He said, looking up at the invisible sealing, which showed a clear blue sky. "Maybe a walk around the lake?" |
Jay's hold on the spell broke when someone shoved his wand hand he had been in a blind rage for a moment and he blinked to see Matt was once again in his face tryign to calm him down. " I have detentions for a month for following HIS BLOODY instructions! That man's completely metal.." jay responded to Matt in a hushed but still mad manner as Matt ushered him slightly towards the exit. |
Rose nodded and headed toward he door. She slipped out of the door behind her cousins. From the bits of conversation she was overhearing it appeared that Matt and Victorie had plans to walk around the lake. So she decided to head toward the Gryffindor tower. Merlin knew how bad she needed a nap. |
Al caught up to Rose, and stood infront of her. "Oh no you don't." He said with a smirk. When no one else bothered to gather the fallen drawings, Al collected them and slipped them back inside the leather covered folder. "These," He started, forcing them into her hands. "Belong to Him." He said, looking in the direction Kyle had gone, up the stairs. "You," He said, turning her towards the stairs "Are going to return them, seeing as you seem to be going in that direction anyway." He smiled a little leaning down to talk in her ear. "I'd do it myself, but... The gardens are calling me. Peace and serenity are required to read, after all." He laughed, let her go and walked off before Rose even had time to hand him back the folder. She was talking to him one way or another, even if he and Victoire and Abby had to lock the pair in a classroom together. Hey... There was an idea... |
Rose didn't have time to react as the folder was shoved into her hands. Now she had no choice. Maybe he wouldn't be in the hall. She walked slowly up the stairs wanting desperately to have no interaction with anyone. |
Kyle walked along the hall slowly, waiting for Matt to catch up. Then again, he probably wasn't going to. After all, he and Victorie had looked rather cozy during the match, before it all blew up anyway. He had been planning on heading to the old astronmy tower to do some drawing, or maybe work on a song or two. He was off for the next period, and then it was lunch. His appetite wasn't the greatest, and being around his brother and what seemed to be his new girlfriend wasn't the place he wanted to be. Stopping to check his messenger bag for his sketch book, he flipped the flap over and looked inside. "Where in the hell...?" he muttered, looking through the books inside. Care of Magical Creatures text, Charms text, note books, scrolls, quills ink, pens, pencils, but no leather bound folder. Must be back in the classroom. Son of a... He thought, turning around once more to go fetch his missing book. Before he could make it down two steps, he almost ran headlong into none other then Rose. "Sorry." He muttered, side stepping out of her way. He wasn't going to waste his time trying to get her to notice him anymore. Enough with the nice guy act. Enough pulling out all the stops. He was finished with trying. Yeah, he'd promised Abby he wouldn't lose hope, but seeing the way she blatently blew him off got to him even more now, since the party... Before the unplesantness. They were having a good time together, and now, she hated him for it. Whatever. |

Kyle stopped dead in his tracks and turned around, brown eyes completely void of emotion. His sketch book, containing years of work, and hundreds of lyrics was sitting in her hands. He arched an eyebrow. "Oh?" He replied, putting on his best Slitherine ficade. "Well, thanks." He said, before taking it. Something told him she didn't even open it. Not the slightest bit curious, like most people were. Almost no one saw inside his book, unless you were someone special. Or thought you were. There were so many drawings he'd done for her, hoping one day to let her see. And so many works of poetry written so beautifully, that they would melt the hearts of every girl in the school if they got to read it. But did she care? No. His eyes never met hers, even behind the sunglasses he knew she wasn't looking. Why would she, she was the gryffindor princess, what would she want with a snake? "Tell Al I said thanks." He said softly before heading back up the stairs again, and once more, towards the astronmy tower. |

Jay stormed down the hallway like a herd of raging hippogriffs not even stepping out of the way for a passing prefect who grumbled a moody watch it when they early bumped into one another. |
