After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

"You of all people should know that resistance is foolish, Severus," Bella shoved him again until he was seated in the chair. She liked the height advantage it afforded her. "You've seen the torturing. You should be honest. Its the only thing that will insure you a quick demise. And there will be a demise, Severus. You can be sure of it. So... shall I break you, bleed you, or...?" She looked over her shoulder at Voldemort, hoping he'd tell her what he wanted to see.

Snape followed Bella's gaze to the Dark Lord who had seated himself in his chair, one leg crossed over the other, his arms resting on the armrests. He watched them in anticipation, giving the appearance of a muggle at a movie theater; all he needed was the popcorn to complete the image. "Severus has been in the service of Albus Dumbledore for an unknown period of time however, I suspect the fact that he has been employed at Hogwarts for numerous years has not escaped either of our attention. I wonder what amount of information we could extract from him..." the Dark Lord spoke while shifting his position. "We don't want to break him completely until we are certain we've gotten all the information we can out of him. I'm sure you have ways of making him speak to us my dear, Bella."

Bella gave a short nod and turned back to Snape, all her attention focused on him. "What will it take for you to tell us something? A finger? A whole arm? Or perhaps the life of your Mudblood and her girl?" Bella bit her lip as if in thought before casting a version of Incarcerous at him. The ropes wrapped around his wrists, stretching him against the far wall.

Snape knew he had become attached to Tara but, he hadn't fully realized how much he had grown to care for her daughter. The thought of either of them at the mercy of Bella filled him with dread but, he wasn't about to start singing over a currently empty threat. "Considering the fact that you have neither of them here, I'm afraid you'll have to settle for taking pieces of me, if that is what you desire, Bella," Snape replied, closing his eyes while he fought the urge to twist in his bonds.

Tara petted Dani's hair until the girl stopped crying. "You're safe now, love. What happened to Professor Snape?" She listened in growing horror as the girl told her that the men had managed to grab him and had left with him. "Where... where would they take him?"

George had entered the room to hear most of Dani's broken words, and he spoke up hesitantly. "Did you... mention a graveyard? 'Cause I think... I think I know where they took him. If its the same graveyard..."

Tonks was shocked and stood in the door looking to see if she could observe anything happening in the alley but, she kept her ear open to the talk behind her. She finally closed the door and eyes George. "How do you know? Where?" she asked.

George shrugged and looked around uncomfortably. "When we followed Snape and ended up bringing back Alicia, they met in a graveyard. It seemed like some sort of prearranged thing, so maybe that's where they were talking about."

"Don't tease me like that, Severus," Bella smiled mercilessly and haphazardly cast a Crucio in his direction. "You're boring me, and I'm tempted to really insult you by using the spells our newest recruits would try on you."

"Well then, I think we should inform Dumbledore right away. Who knows what they'll..." Tonks stopped short as she looked over at the little girl and then, took George by the arm and led him to the kitchen. "We have to get out of here. If they use veritaserum, who knows what they'll find out? For all we know, Snape could give them the key of coming in here and then, what will happen to Harry?"

"I'm so sorry I couldn't be more entertaining for you," Snape said, his voice full of mock regret as he looked at her. "Perhaps I could make it more enjoyable if I knew exactly what it was you wanted. You don't want me to talk right away because it would spoil your fun so, what would you like me to do, all tied up as I am?" he continued, a slight strain in his voice from being stretched out.

"We're safe as long as Dumbledore doesn't give us up. He's the key to the wards on the house. We can sit tight here and let Dumbledore tell us what to do as soon as we contact him. Or we could go and rescue Snape. We don't know how long they'll keep him along."

Tonks bit her lip in deep thought. She didn't want to think about what they would be doing to Snape if they hadn't killed him already. "Alright, I'll floo Dumbledore and we'll go from there... We should probably check up on Professor Sinistra, too."

Snape could think of no reason for her not to hurt him though, he couldn't imagine that she would refrain from torturing him anyway with the Dark Lord there to oversee the proceedings. "I'd hate to disappoint an old friend but, I cannot find a good enough reason for you not to torture me. After all, I betrayed our master and the purity of my blood. It's too bad you never showed an interest in me before now, Bella or perhaps things would have been different and I would not have been forced to find solace in the arms of a mudblood."

The only sign of Bella's loss of composure was the slightest tinge of pink on her face. "You made a big mistake in choosing that Mudblood's companionship over mine, Snape. You think she can give you any thing that I can't? I understand you. Better maybe than you understand yourself, because I see that in spite of yourself, you're still playing the game. Would she understand that?" She flicked her wand and the ropes stretched taut.

George squeezed Tonks' hand and moved back to check on Sinistra. "Tonks has gone to contact Dumbledore, but I think we need to move now to rescue him." The woman looked up at him blankly and George turned to see if Tonks had returned yet.

"I don't know," he responded, twisting his wrists as the bonds cut into them and his joints were stretched to their limits. This was a new technique for Bella and Snape found himself wondering if she found this as satisfying as her older tricks and how she would incorporate them. He realized with a bit of shock and slight horror that, if he wasn't the subject of this particular show, he would have enjoyed watching her at work. His head drooped at the realization.

Tonks hurriedly explained the situation to Dumbledore who told her to rally the Order members at the house while he called on the rest. In the meantime, he wished to speak with George regarding the location of the meeting place. She thanked the headmaster and rushed out to where Professor Sinistra, Dani, and George stood waiting. "We need to gather all Order members that are here together and George needs to speak with Dumbledore. I think we're going in after Snape..." she looked at Dani. "Hermione, Ron, Ginny and Harry can look after Dani."

George hurried past Tonks to settle in front of the fire. He explained everything as concisely as he could to Dumbledore before the man sent George back out to join the others. Tonks had been organizing them, and although several of them looked mutinous, she seemed to be doing a good job.

Ginny huddled down and pulled Dani away from her mother and into her lap, allowing Tara the freedom to rise and join the group. "I haven't had any Auror training yet. I'd be useless." Ginny did want to go, but she knew she'd be a liability to them at this point.

Bella watched his face fall and knew that she'd been right. "The Mudblood can't understand you, but we're your family. We understand. You know... I'm almost tempted to beg our Lord to keep you around for a while. You can belong to me, and I'll make you bleed as often as it pleases me." She closed in on him and stroked the burn with one finger before looking up at his strained face. "And the best part is... you'd like that."

His hands tightened into fists as she touched the burn on his arm but, it hadn't been because it hurt; it seemed to have caused an unexpected and undesired reaction for him, though it may have been exactly what Bella had wanted. Snape looked down at her and tried to deny it but, he knew it was futile. "She may not understand that side of me as you do, Bella but neither can you understand me completely. For instance, can you understand the side of me which turned to our master's most hated enemy?" he asked.

Bella smirked at Snape, her hand reaching out to push greasy hair off his face. "I do not deny that you are weak, Severus. I don't understand your weakness, but you aren't the first. You were merely the best at hiding it. However, I do understand your darkness, and that darkness is much larger than your weakness. However did you let the weakness win? It doesn't matter. You've betrayed my Master. Tell me how much they know, and I'll untie you. I'm still drawn to your power and your darkness after all this. I want to untie you."

She was attempting to play with his emotions and fears, though it wouldn't work. Snape had been working for Dumbledore in the most dangerous position (as most recently evidenced by his capture and soon to be demise) for more years than he thought Bella suspected. He was anything but weak to not have crumbled in the face of such pressure. But, he did not like being tied. He could stand being tortured but, being tied was insulting and made him feel even more vulnerable. "They know quite a bit, though not enough," he answered.

Bella loosened the ties binding Snape to the wall, but he was still held firmly in place. "That's something, but it isn't useful at all. What do they know? Give me specifics and the ties are gone."

Snape was grateful that the bonds had been loosened, though he was still a great deal uncomfortable, it was bearable. He wracked his mind in order to think of something he could tell her which would be enough to let him loose but, not enough to actually compromise Dumbledore's movement. "Dumbledore is aware of the names of the members of the inner circle and their whereabouts, so far as I have been privvy to that information," Snape replied.

Bella sighed, letting the ropes go slack and allowing Snape to fall to the floor. Before he had time to move, she was beside him, shoving him over with her foot. "Stay down. Tell the rest. How long have you been reporting to him?"

Snape's reflexes were slow and he wasn't able to rise before Bella had decended upon him and was shoving him over with her foot. He was inclined to tell her just how long he had been reporting to him out of a sense of pride. How many others could have stood in the midst of such company as a traitor for nearly twenty years, several of which were in the company of the Dark Lord himself? Telling her might even prolong his life, if also the pain. But, he couldn't give in that easily. "How long do you suppose someone could keep something like that a secret from teh Dark Lord and his faithful followers?" Snape retorted.

"You've always been powerful, Severus. There is no doubt of that. I'm sure the Dark Lord had an idea you were hiding behind walls in your own mind, but he didn't fathom exactly what you were hiding." She looked over her shoulder to see if this was correct.

The Dark Lord slowly inclined his head in a slight nod. "So, how long do you think?" Snape asked, sitting up and leaning against the wall. He was actually enjoying Bella's compliments.

"The question isn't really how long for me. The question is whether your Mudblood was the reason you turned or the reason you were caught. Either way, I still want my vengeance on her. This isn't a game, and I'm tired of your sport. Tell me how long you've been helping Dumbledore." Bella loved her boots, although they were hard to move quickly in, simply because of the noise they made when she stepped on Snape's hand and ground in the spiked heel.
