After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

George stepped in behind Tonks, his wand in hand. "You're the boss, Tonks, but I'm going to do the Weasley distraction thing," his voice was low as he moved past her. He and Fred often communicated in this way, and his lips barely moved.

"Now, now, Fred... don't jump on the naughty lady before we have a chance to deal with the main issue here. Are you people aware of how drab this place is? Have you ever heard of color? I would suggest some coral and maybe a splash of lime. Liven things up."

Tara had her wand trained on Bella, even though the woman was still tied. She wanted to run to check on Severus, but her common sense had kicked in. George's words shocked her however, and she nearly turned to stare at him.

Fred took the stunning square in the head, and flew back. But, this particular Weasley had a particularly hard head and it only dazed him for a bit. He could hear George, but didn't fully understand.. not that it mattered. "Eh... Right.. right..,' he said, stumbling to his feet.

Voldemort fixed his gaze at the Weasley still standing. "Perhaps a bit more red would improve the decor?" he asked, flicking his wand so that a cut appeared on the boy's face, splattering blood along the floor and the shoes of the purple-haired auror behind him.

Tonks hadn't seen it coming, or she would have attempted to shield George. Her paled cheeks were now pink with fury at Voldemort for having harmed George, in even a small way. "I believe he said coral and lime," she said, her anger overcoming her fear as she stepped closer and chanced a hex in his direction.

George didn't even put his hand to his face, seeing the blood drip to the floor. The pain was intense, but he knew it could have been a lot worse. It WOULD be a lot worse if he didn't concentrate on the task at hand. He followed Tonks' hex up with a few rapidly fired from his own wand. "Fred... get behind me until you get your head together," George hissed at his twin, not liking that Fred was so exposed out in the room.

"Master, release me," Bella twisted in her ropes and called out to the Dark Lord. She was useless like this, and it angered her that these... children were attempting to attack her Master. One of the red haired ones had landed on her and she knew something internally was hurt, but she would be able to fight for a while without needing medical attention.

Tara had been slipping along the wall, sending some hexes when she could, and trying to make it to Snape's side. The call from the Lestrange woman pulled her off the wall, however, and she stepped out into the room. "You won't be released. And you won't be hurting any of us again." She levitated Bella and threw her against the wall next to where Snape had been thrown.

Voldemort turned his attention to Bella after easily deflecting the amateur spells cast by the young people. With a wave of his wand, her bonds were freed just as she was sent hurtling through the air by another spell. He was furious but, his lips twisted upward in a sinister smile as he looked upon the reason for Snape's downfall. "You must be good," he said to her before pointing his wand at Snape who had managed to recover enough from Bella's ministrations to get himself upright.

He began with the cruciatus curse, wringing cries from his former servant before he jerked his wand back, causing the pathetic fool to scream in agony as he was raised from the ground before being pulled forward by the force of the spell and cast face on the ground.

Snape saw Tara coming toward him and began the painful process of trying to get up. He had at least a couple of broken ribs, his burned and sliced arm stung, and the rest of his body felt as if he'd been pressed between two rocks. But, he had to get out of here before something worse happened. And happen, it did. It seemed the Dark Lord would pull out all the stops. Just as Snape had managed to sit upright, he was caught in the grips of one of the Dark Lord's most painful curses. When he thought he could take no more, he felt his body lifted off the ground. It was then, that he felt as if someone had taken hold of his heart and lungs and pulled, attempting to wrench them from his body. He screamed at the sudden and intense pain before his face smashed onto the stone floor and he blacked out.

Tara turned large eyes upon the Dark Lord. She wanted to shout and scream and run to Severus's side to be sure he wasn't hurt, but from here, she could tell he was out cold. "Why? Why do you have to destroy everything that is good and true?" Tara fell to her knees beside Snape's still form and felt for a pulse. It was faint but steady. "I wish for just one moment you understood what it felt like to love somebody and to know that someone is trying to hurt that person."

With a half sob, she flicked her wand in Voldemort's direction. It was a silly little charm, easily thrown off by any wizard, but it transferred the great press of the love a mother and lover has for others, the fear that it would be taken, and the sacrifice one was willing to endure for these loved ones.

He revelled in the look of pain on Severus' lover's face and in her silly little speech. It would be easy to cast off the charm he saw her cast his way... But, it wasn't just a little charm and it caught him completely unawares. He was thrown back by the force of it and lay at the foot of his chair, confused as thoughts and memories swam through his mind, clouding his reason.

Fred finally shook out of it.. sort of. He still wasn't sure which way was up, but he was alright. He watched Voldemort go down..and knew he and George had to act at that moment.. He thought about pulling another tackling move.. but that didn't seem right, plus he'd probably miss him completely with his head still swarming. Fred turned in a complete circle looking for something to do.. when he saw it. A large, gray brick.. It must have been leftover from the building.. and Fred knew what to do. He summoned the brick to him.. with it in his hands.. he stumbled over to where Voldemort lay.. and chucked the brick as hard as he could.. straight down at his face.

George pointed his wand at the ceiling above Voldemort's head. Might as well add to Fred's plan tenfold. "Fred, watch out." He waited for his twin to step back before blasting a hole in the mausoleum ceiling. The whole structure was made of heavy stone, and thick pieces fell swiftly onto Voldemort.

Tara fell to her knees next to Snape. She didn't care about anything else in the room other than making sure he was still alive and helping to keep him that way.

Fred jumped out of the way, and hurried back over to George's side. "Good job.. good job. Should we run for it?" he asked, hopping from one foot from the other, breathing heavily.

Snape slowly became aware of the intense pain that seemed to have enveloped his entire body. He was also aware of a presence beside him and wondered what Bella was going to do next. He began to move his arm to try and get himself upright but, found that he was drained of strength and lay back down.

Voldemort was distracted by the strange thoughts and feelings which swam through his mind. He was only vaguely aware when something smashed into his snake-like face. Then, the ceiling came crashing down and everything went dark...

Tara watched Snape struggle back to consciousness unsuccessfully. Slipping her hand into his, Tara gave him a squeeze and put her other hand on his cheek. "Severus. Wake up. We need to get out of here, and I don't want to try to carry you." She bit her lip to keep from crying out at the bruised and battered appearance of his form.

George took a few steps towards where Tara knelt by Snape before turning back to Tonks and Fred. "Yeah, we need to get out of here. Tonks, can you contact Dumbledore? He'll know who to get in here to clean things up..." George wasn't sure if Voldemort was dead or merely out, but if Dumbledore got there fast enough, it wouldn't matter.

Fred nodded and moved towards the other as well. While Fred gathered and organized the others, Fred set off smoke charms everywhere. Even if Lestrange or Voldemort managed to wake in the next few moments.. the smoke would give them cover for a while. Fred cleared the way to the door, and went out. He policed the area for other death eaters that may have arrived.. THe property look clear though.. Fred stuck his head back in the door, where the smoke was starting to seap out of. "We should go now..," he said to George, hoping he some sort of organized plan. Something about a Weasley and the word organized in the same sentence just didn't fit right though..

Everything happened so fast and so differently from the way it would have happened with her team that Tonks hadn't had much time to take things in. She stared at George before nodding. "I'll be outside..." she said, glancing toward Snape. "I think you'd better help Professor Sinistra with Professor Snape." And with a quick peck on the cheek, she was out the door after Fred.

"Excuse me," she muttered, walking around to the other side before attempting to contact Dumbledore.

Feeling and hearing Tara beside him gave Snape extra resolve. He wasn't going to die a most painful death, though he was already in quite a bit of pain as it was. He squeezed her hand back and managed to roll himself over. "Help me sit up," he said, forcing the words through his lips for, not only was he unaccustomed to asking for help but, his throat was sore from his yells and the pain.

George moved into place on Snape's other side, hefting the man easily to his feet. "Alright, let's get out of here. I don't want to be around when either of them come to." He started dragging Snape towards the door.

Tara tried to help Snape along on his other side, but she was appalled at the way he was being manhandled. "George, be gentle. Severus is hurt badly, and you tossing him around like that isn't doing him any good." She was happy to see George slow a bit and the made it out of the mausoleum in fairly good time.

Snape was barely aware of what was going on but, he was grateful when they slowed. He'd never been in this bad of shape before and he was just lucid enough to be appalled and utterly humiliated... a Wealsey... They made it outside and met up with the other twin and that clumsy Tonks. "Well, what are we waiting for?" he asked, irritably, his body aching; all he wanted right now was to lay down on a soft bed and sleep.

"Be nice, Severus, or the nice people who helped save you will all leave you here. And I'm not nearly big enough to carry you myself." She wrapped her arms around him gently once they were stopped. "Let's apparate to the street in front of the house. I'll apparate with Severus, since I don't think he's up to it himself."

"Alright.. alright..," Fred said, trying to direct them as they half drug, half carried Snape out. "No.. no.. Just in case I think we should stay together.. We need a portkey.. ," Fred jumped from foot to the other, looking for something he could use. Finally, Fred bent down and removed his shoe.

"Ignore the smell...," he said, holding his own nose. "Portis" he mumbled, through his hand. "Take hold and let's get the heck out of here.."

Tara nodded tentatively and put her hand on the shoe, pulling Snape's into place next to hers. As soon as everyone's hand was in place, Tara nodded and they all disappeared in a swirl of magic. They reappeared on the street in front of their new safe house and Tara sagged against George next to her in relief. They were so close to safety.

Dani had been sitting impatiently by the window ever since her mum and the others had left. She was starting to doze off when movement on the street caught her attention. "Mum!" THe others in the room jerked to attention. "It's my mum and... they've got Snape."

Fred bent down and some how.. hefted Snape over his shoulder. "Come on old boy..,"Fred said, making his way as fast as he could with so much on his shoulders toward the house.

Snape bit back a cry of agony as the rash Wealsey hefted him to his shoulder. His injuries did not make this mode of transport comfortable in the least and Snape hoped the boy didn't do any more damage than Bella and the Dark Lord had already managed.

Tonks was worried. Professor Snape didn't look good and she had no healing skills whatsoever. She knew a little First Aid but, that wouldn't be enough and she fervently hoped Madam Pomfrey hurried, or had already arrived at the house. She opened the door for Fred and waved the others inside while scanning around. Luckily, no one had followed them and the street was devoid of any sign of people or traffic.

Dani raced from the room and threw herself on her mother, clinging to her tightly. "I knew you'd come back but they were all so sad looking that I got worried. And you brought back Professor Snape." The little girl turned to look at the man, who was more than horrible looking and being held up by the Weasley twins. Her mother tried to restrain her, but Dani moved up and put a gentle hand in his. "I'm sorry I got you hurt, Professor Snape." She knew that he'd said no one would ever hit her, but she probably deserved it for this.

Ginny exited the room behind Dani and tried not to gasp at the damage inflicted on Snape. "Come lay him on the couch in here. You'll never make it up stairs." Ginny pushed up the sleeves of her jumper and looked around. "Madam Pomfrey is on her way, but we might as well get him comfortable in the mean time. Let's clean up his cuts and I know a pain relieving spell."

"Heave ho," Fred mumbled under his breath and did as he was asked. He bent and twisted and let Snape as lightly as he could, but Fred was awful tall..

"When I have recovered, Weasley, you had best make sure you are no where within my sight," Snape warned, grasping at his chest and closing his eyes after being dropped on the couch. He felt himself drifting off into blackness again but, forced his eyes open. He didn't trust what these children might do if he were to succumb to unconsciousness.

George crossed his arms and stepped away from the couch. It was a good thing that Ginny had taken some Mediwizarding courses at Hogwarts, because he really had no idea what they should be doing. She's also used to watch some rather disgusting TV shows with their father that dealt with things like this. "Well, do it then, Ginny. I think Snape is going to have a heart attack just from wanting to beat Fred about the face." He saw Dani blanch and picked her up.

"Shut up, git," Ginny began to mop up his cuts with the cloth someone had handed to her. At his first hiss of breath, she apologized before searching her robes for her wand. With a small wave, she cast a light pain reliever spell. It wouldn't take away all the pain, but it would ease it enough that she could work without him passing out.
