| | |  WB to Release Harry Potter High-Def DVDs This Year
Great news! WB have formally announced that they are releasing all the Harry Potter films in a High Definition format DVD this year. You can expect to see Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire out on high def for purchase in the coming months.
These new DVDs offer "resolution six times higher than standard definition DVDs, as well as extraordinarily vibrant contrast and color and beautifully crisp sound."
So I guess this means we can put away the mourning clothes we donned when they announced that they were taking the HP films off shelves

To bad I got the box set for Christmas... (it was so stupid, they said it was an 8 disk but it's really 7! I was looking forward to the special features of GoF).

Ugh... I don't think this is a very good idea.... To play a High-def dvd you need a high-def player. That means all of us HP fans need to buy the $800 player along with however much the dvds cost. There's no need to pull the dvds.
