WB to Release Harry Potter High-Def DVDs This Year
Great news! WB have formally announced that they are releasing all the Harry Potter films in a High Definition format DVD this year. You can expect to see Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire out on high def for purchase in the coming months.
These new DVDs offer "resolution six times higher than standard definition DVDs, as well as extraordinarily vibrant contrast and color and beautifully crisp sound."
So I guess this means we can put away the mourning clothes we donned when they announced that they were taking the HP films off shelves
no way!!! this is so cool!!! im gonna rag on my mom for this too...and if she says no...i'll do extra chores to earn more money and buy them myself!!!

Well, that's nice to hear. I do hope the WB won't release the HD-DVD editions of the first four movies to coincide with the fifth movie's DVD/HD-DVD/Blu-ray release in December. Better yet, I hope they're released before OOTP is released in theaters.
