On either side of the rows of caged owls, adorning the walls are shelves. These shelves hold all of the things under the sun that you could ever what for your owl: food pellets, insect jars, and even little cuddly toys. These shelves look quite old, but there is no need to worry as they are held up with quite strong charms so nothing'll fall on your little heads.
Lining the first set of shelves are many jars of weird looking insects, ranging from stick insects to your plain ordinary green fly. The owls will eat any of these insects, so take your pick and buy as many as you want. Be careful though so you don't pull down all the jars with you, because all those insects on the floor won't make the shopkeeper very happy. Above the insect jars are an assortmert of boxes all holding different sized packets of owl pellets. These are fun-sized little bits of food that are perfect for an owl.
Dotted along either side of the shop, alongside the shelves are big boxes, contain an assortment of little cuddly toys and other little trinkets that will allow you to care for your owls every need. Stuck onto the top of these boxes is a sign that reads "All items in this box 1 galleon."

A party. A reunion. A reunion party. Now it all made sense in Leonard Murdoch's head. So the beautiful lady was not only beautiful, she was very important and beautiful. A triwizard champion. She was, right? Upon finally understanding everything, a wide smile appeared on Leonard's face but it vanished quickly when he realised that this made everything more difficult for him. What would a lady like her do with a shopkeeper/vet like him? Plus he probably smelt.
He did not know what to say. ''It is impossible to not admire you.''
And this was probably the wrong thing to say. He did not if he blushed but feeling the heat, the man pretended to be busy with the bracelets as she spoke. ''Yes, i made them all. I thought they would be useful. They will be presented to my customers the next season.'' The change of topic made him feel less nervous so he could look back at her only to see her smiling. Unable to help it, he smiled too. ''Which colour?'' he asked as he picked up everything she wanted.
''For safety reasons i prefer to attach them myself.''

Wow. That was very forward. And unexpected. And Monique was hardily ever caught off guard. "Thank you." she said quickly recovering. It was too bad she hadn't done anything impressive. "Your ingenuity is admirable as well."
"Yes. They do seem quite useful. I bet the Hogwarts students would love them." Considering all their owls come in the mornings. She also imagined it would be hard to spot owls in their owlery as well.
She thought for a moment. "Black. Black is nice and classic."
She nodded. "Of course." she said. "My owl is back at the Leaky Cauldron. Perhaps you would be able to stop by later and take care of that?"

Now Leonard had a real proud smile just like a kid that had been praised for what he did. He thought most people liked to laugh at his works and yes, they did laugh at his ideas but now, since Monique thought he had the ingenuity, he exactly felt like that. ''Thanks.'' Probably she had no idea that it meant a lot to him even though he had just met her.
''Right. I hope that too. Thought it could be most useful for them.''
Picking up a black bracelet he added it to the goods on the counter as well and turned back to her, now starting to feel more confident about everything. Out of habit, he ran a hand through his hair again and turned back to her. ''Sure. Anytime you want. I can also do the health check and groom Zee a bit myself.'' He also took the mental note of grooming himself as well before he would pay a visit to her and Zee. He needed to look handsome.
''Anything else you need help with? It does not have to be about owls.''
*griiiiiiiiiin*

Monique grinned. "Oh. I'm sure it will be. I could picture some poor child looking for their owl in a crowd... and then spotting the tell-tale bracelet. It will be every child's dream soon."
Monique thought about going into journalism.
"Oh. I'm sure she'd like that." she said happily.
She then chuckled lightly at his question. "You know why I'm here? Not here here. But back in Britain?" Because that seemed like a very big hint drop.

Was she doing it on purpose? Encouraging him about the bracelet and maybe even encouraging him to invent more stuff for not only owls but also all pets!!! Leonard's smile was bright and shone of happiness. Monique was making him feel happy. What else could he ask for? ''Thank you, Monique.'' Had he already thanked too much to her? Because it felt like that. But meh, it was no trouble. He could thank her forever.
And best of all: he was going to get to see her more!!!! And Zee, of course. He was dying to see how Zee was doing. There was no doubt he was going to do his best work for the owl.
When she asked her next question though, Leo's expression turned into a curious one. ''Yes, um, for the party of champions. Right? You just said that.''

Monique smiled. "I said party." Not the triwizard reunion. Perhaps all the shopkeepers kept tabs on local events? It would make sense.
"Perhaps, if you'd like, you could stay, after checking up on Zee." He'd already be at the Leaky Cauldron. Besides, it would be the least she could do. He was willing to go out of his way.
That. And showing up to events alone was not her thing.

She had said 'party'. That was right.
Leonard nodded a bit blushing slightly for slipping that bit of excitement out. It was kinda embarrassing. ''Well...i have heard of it.'' he said playing with the hem of his shirt. ''I think every shopkeeper here knows about it.'' And that was his way of making it look like he was not 'too interested'.
Just to be busy with something so he would not feel more embarrassed. The man took a little colourful box from his main counter and came back quickly putting Monique's good in the box to make a package for her. His hand stopped, though, when he heard the last thing she said.
He could stay?
He looked up at her. Light blue eyes staring into her dark ones. Did that mean that she wanted to spend more time too? Did it? All in a sudden, a rush of happiness filled inside him. He tried to look not so enthusiastic about it but wide smile of excitement was impossible to hide.
''I would love to!''
Now he definitely needed to look more handsome when he was there.

So since getting the owl the other day about her colleague's wedding, Alex decided she needed to purchase a small bag of owl treats to keep in her bag. Which is what brought her to the Owl Emporium at that moment. Perhaps she may even buy an owl. Or not.
Perusing the shelves, she looked around at the various treats before up toward where a tall, rather familiar looking gentleman was standing not to far away. Tilting her head to the side slightly, she took a step backward, trying her best to stay concealed as she tried to place his identity.

This was going to be a loooooooooooong day. Leonard knew it was going to be because this was the day he was supposed to check and clean all the owl poo around the shop. Of course, not to forget the general health check. He had to make sure all his owls were super healthy, right? Right. Examining the poo was one way to determine if an owl was sick.
It took a bit time for him to find the box of rubber gloves in his shelves but when he did so, he quickly wore a pair and was about to lead to the first large cage of Tawny Owls, he heard the ding that told him a customer had walked in. Oooooh well. First he looked around and when his light blue eyes spotted the woman, he walked to her with a huge smile.
''Welcome to Eeylops Owl Emporium!!! How can i help you?''

The last thing that Alex had expected was for the gentlemen to greet her in a rather cheerful demeanor. Why she hadn't even heard the ding was beyond her, except the fact that she obviously had been preoccupied. Another thing that was totally not like her.
Nonetheless, she was spotted and she wasn't one to be unfriendly.
Besides, may as well figure out why those blue eyes looked SO familiar, right?
"Thank you," she said, taking a step toward him, giving him a meek smile. "Well, actually, I was looking for some owl treats. But well not treats for my own owl. I don't own an owl, you see." She paused, looking around some more and noticed the gloves, and raised an eyebrow in speculation.
"So anyway. Treats. Something inexpensive and easy to carry around with me." She was going to explain further, but figured she would wait and see what he said first.

While listening to her Leonard raised his eyebrows a bit in a playful manner, his smile still on his face. She did not have an owl but she wanted to buy owl treats. Okaaaaaaay.
''Yeah, i see.'' he said cheerfully but on the other hand he was really curious about why she did not have an owl and what she was going to do with the owl treats. Ooh well maybe she was going to feed the poor post owls or her friend's owl or...something. He really felt like asking but that was a big NO NO as he did not want to get a reply of 'None of your business'. He did not want to seem rude.
Now to help her.
He took his gloves off and placed them on the counter before picking up thee different packages of owl treats to show her. ''I have three different kinds of owl treats for the bird's enjoyment. Plain treats, fruit treats and vitamin treats. Some kinds of owls enjoy a particular kind of treats more. The vitamin ones are good for an healtier owl.'' He smiled again and winked at her. ''And we have these...'' he shoke the packages a bit ''...small packages of them as well which would fit your bag perfectly.''

Okay. He definitely found it strange that she wanted to feed strange owls. She was sure of it. But then again, why wouldn't he? Most people probably didn't give treats to owls that weren't their own. She loved the fact though that he kept up a cheerful demeanor throughout the whole of his giving her advice.
Three kinds. Plain, fruit, and vitamin. If they were for her own owl, then she'd go with the vitamin one, but as that were not the case.... Wait? Did he just wink at her? He recognized her too?! But who was he? She recalled his face, yes.... but other than that.... Tilting her head casually, she tried to remember, before remembering that he was waiting on an answer from her and he probably didn't appreciate the gawking. "I'll ... take one of each. And well, maybe I should get my own owl.... she added the last bit thoughtfully. "Or maybe not. Should I? I don't even know what kind."

Leonard simple stared at the woman as she...well...stared at him. Was there something wrong? Pausing staring at her for a moment, he looked around. Hmm...no. Nothing seemed out of ordinary. Then he smelled the air. Maybe the owl poop smell was getting to her but...he had already been cleaning much of those so the smell lingering in the shop was not much of an annoying one.
Maybe she was...she did not look...
Okay whatever. He smiled and nodded at her when she said she wanted the treats. He carefully chose his best packages of plain, fruit and vitamin treats and placed them on the counter. Then she said something that made his smile grow.
She needed help for chosing an owl!!!
Woot. That was the fun part. ''Do not fret!'' he exclaimed happily. ''I know just the perfect owl for you. Just follow me.''
He took the very short walk to the owl cages and stopped before a certain one. ''A pretty owl for a pretty lady.'' he said indicating the large bird in the cage. ''This is a Hawk Owl. Very elegant and loyal. Hawk Owls are one of the best for those who are getting to own an owl for the first time although they look slightly intimidating to those little Hogwarts kids. Despite the look, they are very loving towards their owners. I know many stories about Hawk Owls protecting their owners from possible dangers.''
Oh, how much he loved the Hawk Owls. Pretty birds.
''They are also very easy to look after. Very capable of finding its owl prey even you cannot feed it for days, requires minor grooming and very healthy almost all the time.'' Eeeh he could not help being excited over talking about it. ''My first owl at Hogwarts was a Hawk Owl.''

Preston was an animal person, and though he thought that owls were extremely useful and a great addition to any wizarding family he had yet to get himself an owl. He had helped his younger brother Hank pick one out to take to Hogwarts, but that was as far as he had ever gotten to buying an owl.
It was time though, Preston had decided. He had a void in his heart after his loyal pet raccoon died a few years ago, and his turtle had mysteriously disappeared one June day (he thinks that Hank had something to do with it), he needed an animal companion.
Entering into the shop, Preston wasn't entirely sure what type of owl he wanted. If he had the space he would buy multiple owls, but his tiny flat in the heart of the city surrounded by Muggles didn't allow him to do such a thing.
Roaming around the shop, Preston stopped at nearly every owl cage he came across and looked intently inside of it, wondering if that was the owl for him. Eventually he came back to the spot he had started at and began to narrow down which owl he was going to take home with him. "Why is this so difficult?" He asked one particular owl.

Maybe.... yeah, maybe that would work!
Derek was smirking when he entered the Owl Emporium. An almost maniac look on his face, if I should say so. He had just had this brilliant idea while at work and he couldn't wait to try it out.
If eagle owl feathers work well on that... maybe the horned owl feathers will too... they are, after all, from the same genus. He thought excitedly, looking around the store. For some reason Derek though Horned Owls looked more powerful. Maybe it was their mean face.
He was so excited about his idea that he almost couldn't keep himself together. He was walking almost randomly around the Owl Emporium and even chuckled at a fella that was apparently talking to one of the owls.
Yep, he was in a good mood!

Preston continued to look at the owls. He simply couldn't make a decision yet. He crossed his arms on his chest and tilted his head to the left. Slowly, he brought his head back up, and then tilted it to the right. Nothing had changed, he still couldn't decide which owl he wanted.
"Excuse me, sir." Preston said to a man near him, he hadn't seen him before or he would have already asked his opinion. "Which owl do you think would be the best to purchase?" He inquired. Surely someone else could help him make a decision, even if they were a complete stranger.

It was after a few moments that Derek realized he wasn't exactly where the actual owls were. He was somewhere else in the store, where some random... things were stocked.
Oops. Hehe! That didn't change his good mood, though. He even stopped to look at some of the green stuff in a jar. Those looked like good potions ingredients...
Before he could start analyzing the stuff better, that other person that was talking to the owls when he walked by spoke to him. He lifted his head and turned around at once. "Um..." Derek started, not sure of what to say. he didn't know the person and had no idea what he might be looking for. "I guess it depends on what you... want?" He himself, for instance, wanted an owl not to deliver mail, but to use its feathers in potions.
Yep. It all depended.
"I'm looking for a Horned Owl." He added, looking around. "Have you seen one of those around?" And he resumed walking randomly, trying to find what he wanted."This stuff looks good too, so... yeah..." He muttered as he grabbed a small jar with what he figured that were some tiny insects. They looked perfect.

Once he was finished feeding the baby owls in the back room, Leonard walked back to his counter to check on...things. These had been the days he was expecting that his brother would send whatever he had stolen from him back but as days passed, he started to hope less about it. Eh, sooner or later he would be here and then Leo was so going to ask him.
After moving some jars of bugs in the right order on the shelf behind his counter, his light blue eyes found two guys looking at the shelves. Hmm. The man smiled at himself a bit and walked to them after wiping something that had come from the bugs on his hands on his T-shirt. ''Hello there'' he greeted them with a slight wave. ''Welcome to Eeylops. Is there anything you need help with?''

"Horned Owl?" He asked, he thought he had seen one near by..."There's one, right over there." He said, pointing a few cages down from where they were standing.

Xander had gone into the owl emporium... because he was going to need one at Hogwarts. But it was loud in here... and there were lots of owls - duh - but he hadn't expected so many. Eurgh. It was freaking him out a little actually... and his hands were itching. Urgh.
He was going to walk back to the entrance but... there were jars of insects and they kid of fascinated him. He liked the way they moved... Ella was reaching out for a jar of grasshoppers, feeling quite bad for the creatures. Who would want to be eaten by an owl, anyways? It wasn't fair. In the back of her mind she had a thought that she could just start protesting the unfair capture and sale of insects for consumption but the thought was fleeting as someone walked RIGHT into her. The blonde stumbled backwards, luckily catching her balance before she toppled right over.
Eyes wandering upwards, Ella spotted an unfamiliar boy who appeared to be...surrendering? The small 13 year old smiled at him, shaking her head. "Don't worry about it, I'm okay." Really, she was. No harm done. And taking a step forward again, the blonde extending her hand. "I'm Ella, by the way."

Oh, good... she was alright. She was shaking her head..? Ohhh that. He lowered his hands and shoved them in his pockets. He was used to being attacked if he knocked people over so this was kind of refreshing. Heh.
"I'm Xander." he said, oh... "I can't shake your hand..." he added quietly, fidgeting and looking at his shoes. "It's nice to meet you though, do you have an owl?" Well duh Xander, stupid question, why else would she be looking at these insects... girls were rarely interested in them like he was.

Xander. That was a cool name. Ella had never met a Xander before. "Hi Xander." Hmm. He couldn't shake her hand? That was...different. The blonde shrugged and placed her hands in her own pockets. "That's okay." She assured him, noting the fidgeting. "Really, don't worry about it." Some people just didn't like to be touched, like EDRIC! Yeah. Her ogre hated any kind of physical contact. See? So it wasn't weird at all. "It's nice to meet you too." The blonde said sincerely, watching him curiously. She really did enjoy meeting new people. "Yup, he's a Saw-whet owl. His name is Jasper." BEAM. "He's been a bit cranky since we've been home so I figured I'd get him some erm...treats. Even if it is a bit barbaric." And she eyed the insects sadly. "How about you? Do you have an owl?"

Good, she was okay with it... some people got offended when he wouldn't touch them. It wasn't a personal thing, he just couldn't touch people's hands, he hated it.
"What's a Saw-whet owl..?" he asked. He'd never heard of them... they hadn't exactly had long lessons about owls in muggle school. Heh.
Xander shook his head, "No, that's why I came in here." he said, looking around. "But I can't concentrate on them when there's so many at once..." He shrugged slightly.
