"Hi Xander." Hmm. He couldn't shake her hand? That was...different. The blonde shrugged and placed her hands in her own pockets.
"That's okay." She assured him, noting the fidgeting.
"Really, don't worry about it." Some people just didn't like to be touched, like EDRIC! Yeah. Her ogre hated any kind of physical contact. See? So it wasn't weird at all.
"It's nice to meet you too." The blonde said sincerely, watching him curiously. She really did enjoy meeting new people.
"Yup, he's a Saw-whet owl. His name is Jasper." BEAM.
"He's been a bit cranky since we've been home so I figured I'd get him some erm...treats. Even if it is a bit barbaric." And she eyed the insects sadly.
"How about you? Do you have an owl?"
