Without realizing what he was doing, he put down the cage he was holding, and walked around the shop with the girl. It wasn't romantic or anything, and he wasn't trying to make it. But it was nice to have a friend. And she seemed to like the idea of holding onto his arm. The girls seemed to like it when he was a gentleman. Maybe he could use that to his advantage.

"Ah yes, an owl. Why else would you be here?" He let out a small chuckle. Of course she was here to get an owl. Duh. That was a stupid question. Note to self: Think before asking questions.

"Yea, I'm from Hogwarts. About to be a fourth year Ravenclaw." He said proudly. He was proud because he was fourteen years old and had already created a new potion. Which meant he was about to do great things in the coming years. He could just feel it. He turned back to the girl. "What about you M'lady?"

Exactly. Why ELSE would she be here? She giggled some more and reached up to poke his arm. Silly boy. Honestly.

So far he seemed suitable enough though. No hasty decisions though, obviously.

Another Ravenclaw?? Somehow she was always either surrounded by Ravenclaws or Slytherins. What even were the other two houses doing? Not that she minded. She'd come to like the Ravenclaws. Some of them anyway. Some of them not so much. And about yet others she hadn't quite decided yet.

Maggie appreciated the 'M'lady' and showed it by grinning up at him. "My name is Magdalena Natalie Traulton." No, that wasn't what he'd asked her about but she was hoping to get HIS name in return. "You can call me Maggie. And I'm going to be a third year. Slytherin." Yes.

Now, about all this walking around a stinky owl shop....

Aaaand she was poking him. He didn't actually mind it, but it was a little strange. They had just met, and already she was resorting to poking him. Then again, he was 'escorting' her around an owl shop. So personal boundaries seemed to be thrown out the window a bit. Magdalena Natalie Traulton. That was a mouthful in itself, and not entirely what he asked, but maybe introductions were something that was needed.

Maggie... He tried to look thoughtful, as if he were pondering her name. "It suits you. It's very pretty." He winked. What am I doing? He wasn't flirting, or at least he didn't think he was. The boy just wanted to be a gentleman and make the younger girl Maggie, smile. She had a silly little giggle that seemed to light up the dim emporium. If he could keep that going, she could probably light up everybody's day.

Looking down at the girl, it seemed as though she wasn't having the best time. Was it him? Was it the shop? Hopefully it wasn't him. He hadn't totally screwed up.... right? "Maggie, would you like to go somewhere else?"

Yes. It WAS pretty. And so was she. Mhm. She grinned at him, appreciating the fact that he had noticed. Of course it was hard not to notice. Impossible really. She knew that. "I-" -know. "Thank you!" Was probably a more appropriate reply to be honest.

Go somewhere else though? Now THAT sounded like a good idea.

Before saying yes though she stopped walking and considered him for a moment, pensively. Or as pensively as she could. "I don't even know your name." Like, rude, Mister. SHE had introduced herself. He should have too. That's what polite people did. Mhm. It wasn't strike two though. Not yet. Strike one and a half maybe.

Also.....what WAS his hair color? Was it even brown? The lighting in here made it hard to see.

"How rude of me!" He removed his arm from hers, and took a step back. "Austin Alexander Moore," He said with a bow. "At your service." He stood back up and put his arm back where it was. He thought for a moment, about where they should head next. There was the option of a different shop, but maybe she would prefer a bench, or table. Somewhere outside. It was a nice day out, and surely she didn't want to spend it in here.

"Where would you like to go?" He really didn't care where they went, so long as he didn't have to go back home. They could spend all night together wondering around Diagon Alley for all he cared. Sure, his dad would probably yell at him, but it wasn't like he would be worried or anything. But he didn't pick the Ravenclaw up from the train station, so it seemed like he didn't even care. "I am up for anything right about now."

Yes. It was VERY rude.

But he'd realized it. And then introduced himself. Full-name introduced himself. AND he had BOWED down to the Queen. So it was all good. At her service, indeed. Yes. Hehe. It was very hard not to smirk when he said that. VERY hard. But Maggie had become such a good actress that she had her lips under control (usually). So no smirking. Instead she was still just smiling.

"Anywhere but here." She replied honestly, wrinkling her nose. The smell was getting really bad in here. It smelled like...birds. Bird poo. Ew. "You can buy me ice cream." Wasn't that just so generous of her? It really was. And once outside she could see what hair color he had and look for a reflective surface. A display window of one of the shops would probably do for now.

Since the one reason why Austin was in Diagon Alley was to spend money, he figured it wouldn't hurt to buy her ice cream. Plus, it was hot out, and ice cream really sounded good right about now. "I did say 'at your service'. So ice cream sounds delicious."

To be honest, the reason why Austin was here wasn't entirely here just to spend money. The main reason was to spend his father's money. Austin was so upset that his father had left him behind at the beginning of summer, that he was now in revenge mode, which meant spending money. Which they had a lot of. He wasn't really sure why they still had lots of money, seemings as his mother (who earned most of the money) was dead. Must be some sort of compensation. Anyways, it meant that Austin was fine treating this girl to what she wanted.

So with her arm linked with him, he lead her out of the store.

Time to pick some owl treats for Charlene. I mean he was running low as it is and once Charlene wants something she is very persistent. The other day he was trying to write a letter and she kept pecking at his finger wanting treats. He told her he didn't have any and she got offended. He couldn't do anything about it but now he could. He looked at the shelves and began to browse through. He needed to find her favorite ones. He whistled and began to see the many options. Bloody merlin he never knew there were so many.

Now which ones to choose? I mean he could try something different or stick with the regular ones. Hmmm....he would need a second opinion on this one.

Luna needed more treats, so Lux decided that it would be a good idea to stop off at Eeylops before heading home. It had been another productive day of shopping and that made her happy even if she was getting tired. Dinner time would be in a few hours, and the thought of it made her a little hungry.

Heading over to the treats, she smiled when Kace came into view. Charlene must have been running low like Luna. This was perfect because she could scare him as friendly payback for all the times he had done it to her. Hehehe. Quietly she approached him from behind because otherwise this wouldn't work.

"BOO!" she called out as she grabbed him by his shoulders.

As Kace began to look around for treats, he felt someone behind him. He shrugged it off and probably some was lost. As he was deep in thought, he felt someone grab him by the shoulders and he jumped. Bloooddyyy Merlinnnn! Who the bloody hell was that!? He turned around and put his hand over his heart. "Bloody hell Lux you scared me. I guess you got me back this time." he admitted with his heart beating out of his chest.

Once his heart rate got back to normal, he grinned and pulled her in for a one armed hug. "It is good to see ya kid." he grinned and hugged her tightly. "Glad you found me though." He didn't wanna miss seeing his fellow badger. "How is your summer going?" he asked curiously.

LOL.

As Kace jumped, Lux laughed. Okay, so she had scared him but she knew he could take a joke and wouldn't be mad at her. It had been fun and a nice form of innocent payback. He knew that she loved him really - he was her older brother. Already he was pulling her into a one armed hug. "I got you good. And who you calling kid?" she added with a snort. He was one year older than her.

Smiling, she hugged him back. "I'm glad to see you too. My summer has been awesome so far. I love it so much. How has yours been going?"

Kace nodded and she could say that again. "Yeah you did get me good. Jeez were you practicing or something? Were you practicing scaring other people just to try and scare me?" He wanted to know how she did it. I mean he was quite distracted too. He laughed when she asked why did he call her kid? He grinned and bopped her nose. "I decided to well actually my uncle is rubbing off on me calling people younger than me kid. Even my cousin Kaylee does it. Infact she is here somewhere..." he said looking around. She might have wandered off and did her own thing. Who knows? He will let Braedon deal with it.

Oh now onto the summer question. "My summer is going well. I am happy to be back here! I missed everyone. I love coming here and working a little bit on my tan. I am at the Quidditch camp though and that is fun." he beamed.

Sophia walked into the Owl shop her eyes narrowed she knew what she was looking for, but the last time she seen them, they were on a bloody high shelf as always! Sophia didn't understand why did everything have to be so dang high, why couldn't it be where she was able to reach it? Granted Sophia was short, she was only five feet in height right now, so she was shorter than any of her friends. Although she didn't mind it at times, but when there was tall shelves that annoyed her to no end, she knew if Kace was here he'll be chuckling at her annoyance. Sophia looked around to see if there was a stool or some for her to get the owl treats down from, she really needed some owl trrars.

Although Sophia lived on a Ranch, so her owl Polaris was always out catching rats and bringing them back in to eat, but she loved her owl snacks. Although Sophia wanted some owl snakes for Polaris but she didn't know how to get them, and she didn't want to get in trouble for being on the stool when it was probably for employees only. 'Maybe I can get it if I stood on my tippy toes! 'Sophia thought to herself as she tried it. "Almost there, ah got ya! "said Sophia as she gotten it but she lost her balance falling on the floor. Wincing in pain some, Sophia gotten up before she bit her lip from screaming as she realized she hurt her ankle. "Ow... that was stupid Sophia, but at least I gotten the owl snacks! "Sophia thought to herself.

She realized that she needed two which made her sigh in defeat,there was no way she was going to hurt herself again, she already hurt her ankle pretty badly. Sophia didn't know what she did, all she knew that it hurts when she walked on it or even put pressure on it. Limping she picked the owl treats off the floor that she gotten. Seeing a boy about her age maybe a little bit older, she bit her lip remembering what Kace told her about making new friends, she kept that in mind. Um...excuse me, I was wondering if you could help me get a box of owl treats down for me, please? "Sophia asked him.

Hehehe. Smiling, Lux winked at Kace. It was her little secret, though really she had only walked up behind him super quietly. Making him wonder would be fun, however. The bop made her crinkle her nose. "I see, dad." Amused, she rolled her eyes. If Kace wanted to call her kid he could have at it but it was funny since they were close in age.

It was nice to hear that his summer was going well. Lux could definitely see the tan he mentioned. "I like working on my tan too. Shame my sister doesn't live in Florida anymore, but I'm very happy for her and Jaxson." So in the end not being able to go to the beach house wasn't that big a deal. "What have you been doing at Quidditch camp?" Since she couldn't go it would be wonderful to hear about it.

Kace chuckled and shrugged. "Well I don't think I could be your father. That might be creepy and might have lots of questions asked." He joked of course. As she saw Lux mentioning her tan, she saw a little bit of color. Only a little bit, but he was more bronze than her. He just loved being in the sun. He loved working on his ranch and just go to the beach. "Oh I have been to Florida actually. It is a nice place to be. It is always warm which I am jealous of.." he half grinned.

Oh now onto Quidditch Camp. He smiled and replied, "Well actually not too much yet. We are learning to brush up on your rusty skills is all. Nothing too exciting yet. I am excited to go back tomorrow." he grinned. "How come you didn't go to Quidditch Camp?" he teased. He knew the answer but he wanted to hear.

Uh huh. Eye roll. "Silly Kace," Lux said with a smile. He always responded to her jokes with ones of his own and it amused her. "I remember you came to visit at Willa's beach house the summer before I started Third Year. Have you been to Florida recently?" If so that was awesome. Vacations were always amazing just so long as everyone was happy and having fun. What was the point in going somewhere miserable??

Curiously she listened as he talked about Quidditch camp. Still sounded pretty interesting Lux figured as she grabbed some owl treats off of the shelf. Luna would be very happy when she saw them. "Well, I suppose you will be playing for real very soon." Made sense to practice first so that everyone was on their game. "Hahaha, you know very well why I didn't go." Always the comedian.

Kace shrugged and he always found installing some humor into situations made it lighter. "Hey come on I had to, it was a wide open door. Howw dare you roll your eyes at mee." he said in mock offense and put his hand over his heart. He chuckled and Lux mentioned Willa's beach house. Mann that was a long time ago. "Oh yeahh I remember that actually. That was a while ago. It was a nice beach house actually. I haven't been to Florida recently. I went there like two years ago and we went to Universal Studios. It was a fun huge family vacation." He wished he could go on it again. "Have you ever been to Universal Studios?" he asked his fellow friend curiously.

Ah yes. He saw Lux pick out owl treats and he grabbed some so he wouldn't forget for Charlene. She had been nagging him all summer. He finally had them so now she could relax and eat her favorite foods. "How is Luna doing?" he asked. He remember Lux mentioning her owl. He snorted at her comment, "Nahh I am not that good. I probably won't play for real. My mother is like..." and he goes into his imitation of her voice. "You won't be able to make real money and blah blah blah.." he trailed off. "I mean I can see you being the cheerleader.." he nudged her playfully.

SNORT. As if he was offended. "Am I in trouble now??" Gasp. That would not be good at all. "I've been there before! It was a lot of fun, but it's been a few years. It would be amazing to go again." Maybe it could be a big trip or something. Those were always a lot of fun and she enjoyed them. Florida was awesome in general; hot was her kind of weather even though the humidity could be a real pain sometimes.

"Luna is doing well. How is Charlene?" Lux liked to think that their owls were good friends and hung out a lot when they were at Hogwarts. "I bet they miss each other's company." Maybe they could have an owl friend date some time! The imitation of his mother's voice made her laugh. "But Quidditch players make real money!" Unless they got paid in Chocolate Frogs instead; now THAT would be amazing. "Haha, me a cheerleader?" She shook her head as he nudged her. No way was she a cheerleader.

"Yes you are in deep deep trouble missy.." he hugged her from behind and swung her around and raspberried her cheek. "See that was your punishment.." he smirked and snickered at her. "Ooooh really? Well then we shall plan a trip together then.." he suggested. "I mean Bay, you and me could go.." he listed off possible people. He heard about Luna and he was pleased to know she was doing well. Now onto Charlene, "Well Charlene is doing well. She is a trooper for her age. She gets things here and there but she did favor Belle a lot more. "Aww I am sure they do. I think Luna and Charlene might share the same crows space since they are besties and such.." he pointed it. It could be true or not he never knew.

"Yeah I know Quidditch players do make real money! But she wants me to have a practical job and make a lot of money. Plus my skills are rusty too might I add.." he admitted hastily. "Yeah you a cheerleader. I mean you are so peppy all the time. You are so bubbly and such. You seem like the stereotypical cheerleader.." he shrugged. He didn't see it as a bad thing.

...Did he just give her a raspberry?? Haha WHAAAT EVEN. "Hey you watch it. I don't think my boyfriend would like that," Lux cracked while knowing that it was perfectly harmless and Bay wouldn't care. Kace was her brother and he was a goofball. Smiling she wiped her cheek. "A trip sounds like loads of fun!" Yeeeah, she was always up for a vacation! "Maybe our owls can come too since they are such good friends!" It was nice to hear that Charlene was doing well.

Hmm, that was understandable even though Lux still didn't get how Quidditch players didn't make a lot of money??? They were professional athletes. Eeeh, it was what it was and she knew that Kace would end up doing what made him happy and that was the important thing. "Well, I'm sure you will be successful!" That should make his mom happy. "Then you should be a cheerleader too!" What? There WAS such a thing as male cheerleaders.

Kace snickered and replied back, "Well you know what bromance comes before girlfriends. So he will have my back on that one." he smirked even more and even ruffled her hair. The trip did sound like lots of fun. "Well just mention the plans to Bay and lemme know what he thinks? I have been trying to text him lately and he hasn't responded. What is with that?" Jeez he hadn't talked to Nay in a while. "Eehh Charlene isn't up for really really long trips but we can do somewhere close like you know you can visit my house sometime in the near future for the summer." Lux still hasn't visited his house and he was getting on her butt on it.

He hoped he would be successful. I mean he just wanted to do something he loves. He grinned and nodded, "Well if I do work at the Ministry we will visit each other I am sure." I mean how could they not? Him a cheerleader? He let out a huge snorrtttt. "Oh no no no I'd rather be on the football field then cheering for people.." In all honesty he loved the action of the game.

Uh huh. Lux raised her brow at that comment. "Is that so? And does that go the same for you as far as Emmy is concerned?" Really she knew that he was just being silly and that he would do anything for his girlfriend. Even if she was on bad terms with Emmy, she still thought they were a cute couple and was happy for her bestie. She snorted as he ruffled her hair. "I'll tell him the next time I see him. I'll try hard not to forget." Too bad Kace hadn't talked to him in a while since they were so close, but hopefully this vacation would happen...and soon!! "And yeah, that sounds good. How old is Charlene?" Clearly she wasn't young but hopefully she had some years left in her.

"That would be awesome if you joined the Ministry. What department would you want to work in?" The Mysteries one seemed the most interesting in her opinion since everything was top secret. It also reminded her of Bay's parents, who she totally liked because they were so nice. "So you play football?" Smiling, she had no idea that he played.

"Of course it is. It just bro code. Bros come before girlfriends." he winked. He laughed at Lux's tone too. "Yeah you better not forget. I mean where has he been. Has he been in Guam or something and doesn't have cell service?" All excellent questions. How old is Charlene? He pondered and said, "She is about 8 years old. So I mean she is not THAT old but she is getting there." he shrugged. "I mean she has grown fond of me but she still prefers Belle sometimes my older sister." Charlene just loved taking her orders, Kace on the other hand, he needed a little persuasion and something like owl treats did the trick.

"Hmm I think I would want to work in the Games & Sports, Department of Mysteries sounds cool or possibly the Auror department. I do like crime and such." I mean his DADA grades were good. He loved dealing and practicing spells in the dark arts. Did he play football? He scoffed and said, "Yeah I still do matter of fact. I love the game and Braedon and I sometimes have a few games. I know you would love to see me tackle him to the ground." he snickered. He was imagining Lux chewing on popcorn and having the front row seat.

Bro Code? Lux whistled. "Wow, looks like you got me beat, Kace. I'll always be second in his heart to you. I guess it was never meant to be." Sniffle and dramatic sigh because her HEART was BREAKING... Though not really because she knew that Kace was just being Kace. Haha, it was so much fun playing around with him. "So you haven't been to his house or had him visit you?" Of course she had been spending time with Bay; she wouldn't have had it any other way!! "Oh, well Charlene is such a sweet bird, I hope she's around for a LOOONG time. Maybe Belle has a secret that she could share with you!" Then the owl could like them both equally.

"Those are all great ideas!! I bet you will have loads of fun." Lux thought it was cool, but she only wanted to be a potioneer - no other career really appealed to her. She laughed at the Braedon comment. "How about we BOTH tackle him." BEAM.

Austin Moore. Fourth year. He was ready to take on Hogwarts yet again, and he was ready to do it on his own. With the help of his owl of course. Which means that he was going to have to get food for her. And some proper equipment to clean her cage. He had tried cleaning her cage with water and soap, but she refused to go into it after. So now he's going to have to figure out what he did wrong, and what he needed to do to fix it. But for a start, getting her treats as an apology for messing up was a start. Now which ones did she like again?
