After spending a bit of time observing the egg hunt and quietly wondering when he would finally have great grandchildren to spoil, it was only natural that the Minister be lured by aroma of French toast and buttery scones filling the air. Charles modestly piled his plate with delectable delights and had even intention of taking a well-earned seat the chair had other ideas as the moment he moved to sit, it slid a clean out from under him. His plate wobbled, his teacup rattled, and Charles found himself hovering awkwardly mid-squat, knees burning from trying to keep his balance, one hand gripping his cane for dear life as it miraculously kept him from totally toppling over - though the same could not be said for his scone that fell on to the enchanted grass. A non-issue, truly, considering the five second rule certainly applied to magic'd grass. "Oh, come now, old boy," he muttered under his breath, a smile tugging at his lips as he made another attempt... only for the blasted thing to skitter sideways this time. "You did not survive a war only to be thwarted by a chair..."
Each step Charles took, the chair moved the opposite direction. Perhaps it had been accidentally enchanted while someone was putting the final touches on the eggs, or perhaps a particularly mischievous employee from Level Two was taking their stealth training a bit too seriously. Whatever the case, Minister merely adjusted his waistcoat, lifted his chin, and decided he would not be outmaneuvered by a piece of furniture - even if he did find it quite humorous. "Well," he said cheerfully, brushing crumbs from his waistcoat, "I see the furniture has joined in the festivities. If anyone manages to actually sit in this thing... I’ll buy them the next pot of tea."

Teyla was biting on a strand of hair that had gotten loose from her dark pig tails as she watched an older gentelman struggle to take seat on a very reluctant chair which she had done for several minutes now. How curious. She herself though had a more pressing matter to get help with.
Going forward the 5 year old girl, tall for her age with striking black eyes with a hint of green and a very pink dress for the event took courage to herself and stretched out a small hand to tug on the man's waistcoat because she wasn't tall enough to reach his shoulder. "Sir, have you seen my mummy? I can't find her anywhere."
Maria left her eyes wander around the atrium, taking in the festive easter decorations while she waited for her husband to arrive. Where Kion had sneaked off to was beyond her, but maybe this was a good day to tell him that he was going to be a daddy. Maria had gotten it confirmed at work. Her sense of feeling under the weather lately, and puking up her food was now solved. A baby was growing inside her. Going over to the brunch table Maria picked up a croissant to nibble on while she waited for Kion to show up.

Kion had gone over to submit their donations before rejoining his wife, Maria, his sweetheart. The moment he stepped into the Atrium, the lively buzz of the picnic tables. Plates clinking filled his ears along with and sweet scents drifting around them as he began to fill his plate with plenty of fruits, french toast, nuggets, potato wedges, and some orange juice. Enough for incase Maria wanted some too from his plate. It didn't take long for him to spot her before he made his way over.
"Hey," he murmured warmly, brushing a kiss to her cheek. "I hope I didn’t keep you waiting too long." She had been a little under the weather recently, and as hard of a worker she was, he insisted she get checked out at her job. Seeing a hint of purpose in her brown eyes, he asked, "Is everything.. okay?"
Edhi likely stood out with his dark attire compared to some dressed up in fully bunny suits. But to be frank... he was just here for the food. Maybe he could catch up with some colleagues along the way. Filling his plate with pancakes dressed in delicious syrup and fruits, he walked over, just passing by a little girl asking the Minister for help.
Sitting down, he took a look around to check out the sights.

Filling her plate with more food Maria remembered that Kion had gone to submit their donations to the bingo event. To contribute with something from herself was a nice gesture, and one both she and Kion supported. Maria's attention was on the passing guy or was it woman in a big bunny costume shouting about the egg hunt when Kion appeared by her side with a full plate of food in his hands. Maria smiled warmly as she leaned in for a return kiss. "It's fine. I've had food and interesting people to watch. Did you see the guy/girl in the bunny costume? It must be hot to wear that, don't you think?"
Nabbing a few red grapes from her darling's plate Maria murmured warmly. "I know why I've been feeling under the weather lately, I got myself checked out work this morning." looking up into Kions eyes she shared the wonderful, and terrifying news. "You're going to be a daddy in a few months. I'm pregnant."

If you asked her 20 years ago, Donella would have 10000% loved this event, but now as a young adult approaching the ripe age of thirty, she wasn't all too excited about this. While she didn't have the full bunny suit attire, she settled instead on a simple bunny ears headband along with a floral dress that felt like Easter in her mind. But to be frank at least she wasn't wearing funeral attire, as she caught a young lad in.
She plopped down next to him. "Well this is quite different. Did you donate anything? I kind am just hoping for some extra galleons" Donella mused. What could she say? Life was expensive and she's rather buy what she wanted rather than win some items she didn't need.

Kion was relieved to hear Maria confirm she was doing fine. She rarely ever got ill and it was difficult for him to see her in a predicament. "I did... I think one of them is a Department Head." He wondered if they all were dressed up. But that was little concern to him, especially with the news she shared.
First, Kion's eyebrows raised a little when she said she learned why she was feeling ill and then...
"You.." He blinked. "a baby.. we're having a baby?" He asked out of surprise, even though he heard her loud and clear that she was pregnant. It was the first reaction he had before "Oh, this is wonderful!" Kion hugged her to give her another brief kiss. Such wonderful news couldn't temper his affection. "Have you told anyone else?" His parents will be so thrilled, and he knew how ecstatic hers will be.

Edhi's eyes glanced over at she who spoke to him. Donella, he recalled, it had been some time since they ran into each other. This was easily explained from the different levels they work in. He could at least mention his work publicly.
"A black quill, not a bad trade off." Brandishing his little small bingo card. "What about you?" It sure helped to be charitable. "I can see you're well adapted to everything going on here."

"Sir, have you seen my mummy? I can't find her anywhere."
Charles blinked down at the small hand tugging at his robes, shoulders squared for yet another tactical advance on the rebellious chair, and found himself surprised not by the child herself but by how quietly she had managed to approach him despite his ongoing battle. "Good heavens," he murmured, straightening with a soft creak of knees and light wobble of his plate. "Well, you’re a brave little one, indeed! Done precisely the right thing, finding help, though I do wish this chair was not being so unruly in the peripheries."
He softened immediately, of course, and crouched down carefully - very mindful of his treacherous knees - and just enough so he was level with her eyes. For a moment, a name hovered just beyond reach. The child's and features were familiar. Violet's daughter? No...Violet's daughter is older… unless she wasn't? Or is that Brandt's niece? He felt the brief flicker of frustration at his own uncertainty. Even just last year, it seemed, he would have known every employee's child by face and full name without blinking. His smile softened in spite of it. "Well, my dear, that simply won't do. We can't have you wandering about on your own, not with all these chairs plotting mutiny."
He set his plate safely on a nearby table and straightened his waistcoat before he tapped his wand to his cane. A soft silvery glow unfurled from the tip, expanding into the unmistakable shape of a genial opossum. "There we are," Charles hummed. "My patronus is rather good at finding people. What is your mother's name? Tell him and he'll go straight to her."
Standing ever so slightly, he gave a small covert gesture with two fingers toward the nearest security attendant stationed nearby. He remembered too vividly the day he'd lost all three of his own boys in the magical district in Kyoto. His first solo outing with all of them as well, leaving him running through the crowds with his infant daughter bouncing in a carrier on his chest while kind shopkeepers kept each mischievous boy contained until he could retrieve them one by one.
