Excuse us. Lottie was trying so, so hard not to keep on laughing. And really, she hadn't intended for this to happen, but the moment she saw that Kidsville thing, she couldn't help herself. It would've been incredibly amusing AND FUN, had Aidan been in a better mood.
The boy ended up winning, since she bought him food, after all. He was easy to cheer up, right? Hopefully. Her true intention hadn't been to annoy him. For real? Well, who cares?
Drop the attitude, Stone. It's such a nice day. "I couldn't help myself, it was fun!" she said, sitting next to him, a smirk on her face. The smirk faded into a nice smile, though. "You would've looked adorable with the little kids." Truth. Or really not, but it was still funny. "Plus, you have a bright future in arts and crafts, might as well start now." Now, we all know she's kidding about this. His future is in Quidditch, where the requirements do not include 'well-spoken'.
It was the third bite that did the trick. The third bite lightened his mood. Only he was regretting not weaseling a drink out of Lottie, as well. An iced butterbeer would make the burger slide down so easily. But it was too late, he already stopped scowling, and was almost smiling. "Just wait to see what I throw you in, Lotus Wisteria." And, actually, it wasn't an empty threat...unless he forgot. But he was picturing a nice vat of flobberworm mucus to dump her in when they got back to school.
By the way, looking 'adorable' is NOT Aidan's goal in life. Quite the opposite. He wanted to look...you know...cool. Interesting. Impressive. Attractive. NOT adorable. Okay? Okay.
Now... Well..., "Thanks for the burger," he said, after swallowing this time, lifting his burger up in a small mock toast. NOW, back to business? "So, what's up?" Miss 'I don't have all day' was taking longer than she usually did to make her point.

He was lost. Absolutely and utterly lost.
Realising he was becoming a bit of a nuisance by standing in peoples way, Tibi reluctantly hitched up his bag strap and meandered around in search of an empty seat. Preferably one with an umbrella perfectly positioned to shield him from the suns rays. "Pardon, is this seat taken?" he asked, pausing beside an empty seat, a hand poised on the back of it, eager to pull it out and claim it. His European accent wasn't thick, but it was noticeable. It wasn't distinct enough for his nationality to be recognisable, but it was most certainly Eastern-ish. Tibi smiled politely, his feet were starting to get sore.
Ew, look at that girl's...
Wait, somebody was talking to her. Wanting to know if one of the table's seats was taken. "Nope, go ahead," she replied with a friendly smile. Hmm, that was an interesting accent the guy had. Though, she couldn't quite place it. Definitely European, but not British. Nor French, Spanish or Italian or any of the other countries that immediately came to mind when on the topic of Europe.
Also, dude was looking at a rather old looking piece of paper. "What's that?" Sky asked, pointing at the paper.

There, see? He wasn't scowling anymore. Very easy to cheer up, probably because what she did wasn't half as bad as he thought it was. She could still buy him something to drink, he just had to be confident enough to ASK. Lottie did tell him to come, by the way. Not that she was buying him anything and everything he wanted, FYI.
AND...laughter happened. Like, lots of laughter. Though, not worse than when they left the vicinity of Kidsville. "Need help planning, Aidan Stone?" Lex would be wonderful for this, you know? But Lottie didn't deserve it, Aidan, it really wasn't that bad, and the only people who'd been watching were concerned adults and children, soooo...
Almost, ALMOST, she almost said 'Anytime', but...no, that wouldn't be the case, he shouldn't get accustomed to nice things all the time. "Sure!" that was a safe answer. 'You're welcome' wouldn't cut it, because of the same reason as 'Anytime'. Okay, time to be nice now. Sigh. "Nothing really, I just thought we should hang out for a while, seems like the only time we do this is when I have to apologize for not liking you or something."Shrug. Actually, she was being completely honest, just as she was completely honest while apologizing each and every time.

Tessa shrugged her shoulders. "What do you want to know?" She asked. "I'm from London too. I have a twin brother, Lewis M. Hart. He'll try telling you that he was born first...but he's wrong." But actually, he would be right. Tessa just never liked the fact that Lewis was technically the older of the two Hart children.
Tessa's throat felt scratchy, she took a drink of her juice hoping it would help. It didn't. It was almost like her throat was closing up. Trying to play cool, Tessa shrugged her shoulders. "I dunno. I just never liked Anne." She said simply. Talking was starting to get hard.
Was her forehead burning now? What was going on? She was perfectly fine this morning when she left home with her family.
Trying to focus on their conversation on Hogwarts, Tessa tried her hardest to speak. All she could do was nod her head. "I...." she paused, trying to breath. "Don't feel good." She finally got out.
WAS SHE ALLERGIC, OR SOMETHING?
Adi grinned. He liked this girl. Sure, she talked a lot but that was fine with him. He didn't talk much- around girls anyway- so she made up for his lack of chatter. And he made up for her endless chatter. Yay! T liked it. He gave her another one of his shy smiles. "I'm glad you like it,'' he said nodding. "And you're welcome.''
Ohhh she was a twin! Adi thought that was cool! He laughed out loud when T told him about her twin being born first. "So I take it you two have a good bit of sibling rivalry going on? And what does the M stand for?'' Matt? Mike? Michael? The endless possibilities! "What about your parents? Are the a witch and wizard too?''
Adi suddenly noticed T looking rather uncomfortable. "Are you feeling alright?'' he asked, full of concern. She wasn't chattering on anymore and he could see she was looking flushed. Forgetting his sandwich and juice, the boy ran over to his new friend. "T, what's happening to you?'' Uh oh! What would he do? Where were her parents? Or his mother?!

"No...no...," he said with a small smirk, "I'll just let the opportunity present itself." Like she did, no doubt. Because, as genius as Lottie might be with tactfully choosing her words and actions, Aidan doubted she knew the Kidsville would be there, that he'd walk by it, and she'd have the strength and ability to push him in. So he'd just be on the lookout to give her some humiliation, for once.
Another bite of his burger and...he nearly choked on a pickle sliding down his throat. The worst part was that he couldn't even cover it up. He turned his head and coughed into his arm a few times before recovering enough to talk. "Why would you want to hang out with me?" She didn't like him. Wouldn't she be embarrassed to be seen with him in public and outside of school or something? She had to have some sort of ulterior motive, right?

Yeah, we're not buying that extra super tiny smirk. You had to go BIG, Aidan. Really big. Though not so much with the payback, it wouldn't be pretty. Lottie didn't mind the small threat Aidan made a few moments ago, she was rather amused by it, actually. He needed to have fun sometimes. "That's the spirit!"BEAM. You could also make the opportunity, but it's not the same. Unexpected or unplanned things tended to be the best.
Just not this time, Stone.
OH, MERLIN. Lottie sighed and rolled her eyes. She should remember that eating with Aidan had some disadvantages. Like this one. Are you kidding? At least be smooth about choking. But no, he couldn't even do that. Also, Lottie should have been paying attention and not look away, because what if he choked for real? Yeah. "I think I should get you something to drink...," he was choking, it would be good, right?
And then he asked that. That was kind of rude. Shrug. "Why not?" Legit. "We're...friends, right? I mean, kind of?" Though, this was a different type of hanging out from the other ones she's had this summer. Starting with nail polish and Cassia.

He shook his head, laughing softly. Did she want him to throw her somewhere, then? That made it a load less fun. Even if it were a vat of flobberworm mucus......which was getting to be less and less of an appealing idea, and more cruel sounding and unnecessary. The lake would do, no? Lottie'd get thrown into just water, but that was humiliating enough, yeah?
...Maybe some mud. He'll see.
Choking aside, he was torn about accepting an offer for her to buy him a drink. He wanted to, just because, but it wasn't necessary. He was all good now. See? "It's okay." A few more coughs and his windpipe was sufficiently clear.
Friends?!?! Him and Lotus?! "We have a friend in common," Aidan pointed out, "But we've had very few friendly interactions." Therefore, they couldn't really consider themselves 'friends', right? Not until...well, not until he felt comfortable around her, and not like he should watch her every move.
Not to mention her taunting needed to stop. Friends didn't do that to each other. Not maliciously, at least. She'd know what taunting he was talking about.

Nah, come on, Aidan. She seriously hoped that the shaking of the head and the laughing (which was quite strange to hear from him) meant that he'd agreed with her, because she had. She was weird.
And just as Lottie was about to get up and find him something to drink, he simply and kindly refused her offer. He wouldn't have another go, he should've taken it. But, all for the better. "Okay." He was fine, then? Good, Lottie could just continue admiring the nice day around them, without worrying about calling a Healer.
Unless he did it again, in which case she wouldn't let him eat, ever. Whenever they're together, at least.
Hey, wait a minute. "Oh, that's riiiight." It seemed she'd realized something just now. No wonder this was slightly awkward. Lex was always around. Oh, Merlin. And to think Aidan is right! Let's just...not mention that bit. "Very few...," more like non-existent. Except for the books thing. They were good at that. And it seems she learned nothing of the book he gave her for Christmas. Lex should read that one.
"What really bothers you?" Her blue eyes were focusing more at the table than at Aidan, but the question was definitely for him.
She couldn't remember how long it had been since she'd arrived in Diagon Alley, but before she'd done anything other than the basic shopping for school Kahlan was already exhausted and honestly found herself wondering what she could do next.
Sighing she took a seat as she looked around where she was...
The carousel might be interesting?
Or maybe taking part in the pie eating contest... though considering her white shirt she wasn't sure if she really wanted to...
Despite that she was really hoping that now that she was finally back in England that she might see someone she actually knew...

"Would you be able to tell me where I can find the Leaky Cauldron?" he asked, assuming she was a local.

Ariel grinned, looking around at all the people having a good time. This was wonderful! Though by now she was feeling rested enough to head back out to the festivities.
Except... wait. She was missing something.
The girl couldn't quite put a finger on it. Hmm, she had her belt, her hat, her wallet tucked away in her pocket. Her shoes were on tight, but something wasn't right. Ariel's hand scratched at her neck absentmindedly.
What could it--
OH NO. As her fingers brushed against her neck, she noticed something was missing. Her necklace. No no no no, that was impossible. Her necklace was worth hundreds of galleons, not to mention that she'd had it since she was a baby. It was a gift from the President of the French Republic, and there was no way it had just fallen off her neck-- Ariel had worn it every day for years with no problem. She had to get it back.
Looking around frantically, she saw a boy dart into the crowd, slipping something glittering into his pocket. THERE. "Arrêter! Come back with that!" Ariel went running after the boy. He wasn't keeping that if she could help it.
Adi grinned. He liked this girl. Sure, she talked a lot but that was fine with him. He didn't talk much- around girls anyway- so she made up for his lack of chatter. Trying ever so hard, Tessa tried to tell Adi that the M stood for Mathew but now she couldn't speak. The blonde's eyes got wide as she looked at Adi, as if saying 'HELP ME!'. Quickly Tessa took her hands and pointed to her throat. Her throat was closing up and breathing was more difficult than before.
I'M GONNA DIE YOUNG! Tessa thought to herself repeatedly. She silently urged Adi to go find help from someone older who could use magic and help her some how.
Having been on his feet all day, Jepp was more than ready to sit down for a while and enjoy people watching. Sure, he had spent a lot of the day already people watching, but sitting down to do it was so much more relaxing.
Leaning back in his chair, Jepp placed his hands behind his head and crossed one leg over the other. He let out a content sigh as he watched people walk on by to see what the festival had to offer. It was only when a kid yelled nearby that Jepp stood again.
"Hey buddy." He greeted looking down at the kid. This one had to be at least at a first or second year level. "What's going on?" Jepp asked. It was then that he noticed the girl sitting nearby. "Is everything alright?" He asked, though clearly it appeared that it wasn't.

Oh no! Oh no! Adi was close to panicking. T's eye were so huge and she kept pointing to her throat. "I'll be right back, T!'' he shouted, fighting to stay calm. Nothing was going to happen to her if he found an adult. Right! Find an adult! Adi shot off, looking this way and that frantically.
Adi was scanning the Res spot, not looking for only for his mother but for any capable looking adult. Suddenly- SMACK! He ran into something rather solid causing him to nearly fall flat onto the ground. "Hey! Who put that brick wall there?'' Looking up, he saw i was a man he had ran into. "Oh, I'm so sorry, Mister! I'm in a bit of a hurry and I didn't see you.'' That was obvious. On second thought... "Say, Mister! Something's happening to my friend! Can you please come take a look?'' Without thinking, Adi grabbed the man's arm and rushed him over to Tessa.

A map. A extremely old one by the looks of it. "Whoever gave you this hasn't been to Diagon Alley in ages," she commented, giving the map a good look over. Seriously, she didn't even recognize some of the names on it. "Okay, you see that building with the courtyard?" She didn't see how anyone could miss it, but she pointed it out just in case.

Aidan couldn't tell if that was sarcastic or not, that 'riiiight'. Seemed suspicious to him, though. Couldn't be sincere. Lottie would never tell him he was right, anyway. Although...she looked...like she meant it...
What really bothered him? He took another huge bite from his burger and shrugged. "What do you mean?" What really bothered him about their interactions? Their unfriendly relationship? That was an easy question. Piece of cake. But he wasn't going to admit that he was really bothered because she picked on him and it hurt his feelings. Ever.

Was he going to make her look at him?? The table was fine for now, thank you. Also, it was taking him forever to finish that burger, he should eat faster.
Lottie was tracing invisible patterns on the surface of the table, though, technically she was following the patterns the wood already had. You know what we mean, Aidan Stone. You're just going to make her repeat herself. GREAT. That was sarcasm, in case you cannot tell.
Sigh, Aidan, sigh. Now would be a good time for Lex to show up."You're kind of easy to pick on, you know?" Let's be honest, as always, because he HAD to have this part figured out, yeah? Also, that was kind of a compliment, sort of. "I was just wondering if there was something that truly annoyed you."Shrug. She wasn't going to say IT, but she'd stop. And she wouldn't say it because it was highly likely Aidan wouldn't believe it, since she's done this kind of thing before.

Sky. Like... the sky? Tibor bowed his head, his smile widening just a little. The English sometimes had amusing names, and Sky was one he hadn't heard yet. He felt as though he needed to ask, to clarify that was as she said it. "You mean, Sky as in sky?" he asked, pointing a finger to the summer blue sky above them. "Forgive me... but I've not heard a name like that before."
"Really?" he asked, it didn't surprise him, but his friend had been very confident in his directions. Tibi let out a disgruntled sigh, but quickly perked up as the young woman started pointing things out. "Over there?" he asked, his eyes following the direction in which her fingers where pointing, "Yes?"
A pink began spreading across his face from embarrassment. He was easy to pick on. That was....just not nice. He didn't want that at all. He didn't want to be picked on. That it was easy to do, just made things worse. And the worst part is that he didn't even know why that was. Why did people think he was an easy target in the first place? Why did they actually do it? Why couldn't they just be nice and not pick on him?
It ALL truly annoyed him. Especially the Ascanius comparisons. But again, he wasn't going to admit to it. Because that would make him look weak or something, right? And that would make him an even easier target, cause they'd know that the teasing actually got to him.
Aidan scarfed the last of the burger, chewed and swallowed, and shrugged. "Let's just hang out, Lotus." Seriously. Talking about him getting picked on was almost worse than actually getting picked on.

Why, oh, why was Aidan's face turning red? There was nothing to be embarrassed about, he wasn't choking anymore. Unless he didn't particularly appreciate what she just said... but this wasn't a first. Also, he could SPEAK, say anything. Anything at all. He was given permission to do so.
Particularly since she was starting to feel bad somehow and she didn't like that feeling.
So, her eyes were currently focusing on the boy, it was definitely easier to read him this way than by not looking at him. Yeah, thanks for bringing her down, Aidan Stone, this is the last time we're inviting you anywhere. Probably not. If he had questions, which she assumed he had based on the way his eyes moved, he should just ASK them. She'll gladly answer them. Though, based on the way she'd answered him before...she could maybe see why he wouldn't ask. You're not gonna get a better answer, because she's entirely honest. "I'm sorry, okay?" Ironically, he'd seemed to be in a better mood when he was annoyed after the Kidsville incident.
Hanging out. Okay. She could do that. "Sure. What have you been doing this summer?" She was going to do her best and NOT compare, okay?

And he shrugged again. Whatever. No big deal. He was just picked on by her for three years and she hadn't thought to apologize until now. But it was still how Aidan looked. If he accepted her apology, he admitted that it effected him. If it didn't look like it effected him, he'd look less pick-on-able, right?
Not that that had been working so far.
Anyway, it was over. Maybe Lottie meant it, that she was sorry. Maybe it'll stop now. Maybe it was all over. His summer... "I've seen Lex and...we went to the beach once..." Other than the couple of visits with Lex, though, it'd been pretty boring. "And you?"This could be a friendly interaction, Lottie. Even after the Kidsville incident.

Yeah, exactly, Aidan probably didn't believe her. Hopefully this apology will be the last one she'll have to give him and she'll be able to keep her word. It couldn't be easy to be in his position, anyway. She wouldn't know.
We're really sorry, though.
Oh? The beach? Well, Lex did not inform Lottie of this. Odd. "You did? Where to?" We're trying this friendly thing and see where it goes. But then Aidan asked about her summer. Her summer included Ascanius, did Aidan really want to know? She supposed she could skip his name, pretend stuff never happened and whatnot. Unless there was nothing wrong with mentioning the guy, right? She didn't have to make comparisons or anything, but it was just so incredibly HARD. "I've stayed in London the whole time so far. Kind of." Muggle London, mostly, though there have been those occasional days in Diagon, like today. "Been hanging out with friends, you know? Lex, Cassia, Tag, Ascanius...," there, she only had to mention him.
"My brother is starting Hogwarts this September." Lottie didn't know why she said it, but, oh well.

Well, this festival was a bit crowded. It wasn't as if Kat didn't expect it. Festivals were always crowded and full of people. It was normal, actually. Not wanting to be lost in such a crowd, the Slytherin made her way to the rest spot. At least there wasn't much people in here so that meant there was still a couple of empty seats waiting to be sat on. Kat called dibs on one of them and sat on it. No one is gonna take it now.
So uhm.
Yeah.
Di would find her later when they return home. Sometimes, her older sister jusr exactly knew where Kat would be.

Claiming an empty chair Leo pulled it towards where his friend was sitting before he slouched down in it with a wide smile finding its way across his face. Abraham always knew what to say or do to make you feel welcome. Leo hoped he was like that when he reached the senior man’s grand age. Furrowing his brows he glanced over at the blond Abraham pointed out as his granddaughter. "What kind of contest is your granddaughter running?"
Egypt...Abraham had been keeping himself busy. "How was Egypt?" Leo enquired curiously as he found a more comfortable position in the chair. "Hot?" It had been very warm when he was last there visiting an aunt. Shrugging his shoulders Leo responded. "It's been an okay summer so far, good even. I’ve just been taking it easy." And sleeping badly.

He looked over at the librarian and folded his hands on the table before setting his cane right next to him. "She works at Madame Malkins shop, but a few extra galleons wouldn't hurt. She's a people person, Marci. Can be a bit too loud for some," Like old grandfathers such as himself. "But she has the biggest heart." He smiled and gave her one last proud look.
"Hot doesn't even describe it. It's only the summer weather that makes you uncomfortable sometimes, but everything else is brilliant. My sons and their families gather there, my daughter sometimes makes it too, and we all have some great family time." He paused, a new happy sparkle in his eyes showing how much he loved that time of the year.
Oh an okay summer only? Abraham nodded to Leobald. "I forgot to bring some coffee when I passed the refreshment avenue. Would you like some too?" He held the cane and was ready to struggle to be up on his feet.

So.... that was a different reaction to her name. Most people just glossed over it. "Exactly like that. It evolved into a name in the U.S. a long time ago," she replied with her own smile. She'd researched it out of interest, but she could
never remember when.
"That's it," Sky replied. Of course, it wasn't immediately recognizable as an eating establishment since it didn't have tables in the courtyard for people to eat at, but she guessed that was because of the wall with it's 'doorway' to the muggle world. Would be a tripping hazard.

Was this festival awesome, or what?
Lucian was having the time of his life. After working hard for his marks in his last school and having spent time with his grandfather, Lucian was ready to let loose, and let loose he did. He'd gone off to the crafts place and painted a lot of things. Of course, his mother was way better and she was right there showing off her cool talents, but it was okay with Lucian. His mom was the best artist in the world and he only hoped to be that one day. At the moment, though, his mother was painting the face of a lion on his dad's face and they were laughing and being all cute and stuff.
Yuuuuuck!
With a roll of his eyes the curly haired boy wandered off to the rest area. He was hungry. And thirsty. Lucian spotted what appeared to be the last seat. He raced to it and just when he thought it was going to be his a girl sat on it. He looked at her as if she'd just slapped him, then pouted.
