Asher found his way to a pie eating contest. "This is perfect for me. Perfect!" He waked up to the tables and looked where he needed to enter his name. Yes, he would eat pie. Lots of pie.

Yea, he might be little, but Asher knew he had the stomach size of a Mountain Troll. He had always been able to eat obscene amounts of food in a sitting, and it was time for him to show off his skill.

Glancing around at the flavors, his eyes fell upon lemon meringue. "Lemon for me, please."

Adi had laid his eyes on pies! Yes, loads and loads of pies! Pies were not scones but they were pretty tasty. Depending on the flavour, of course. He jogged over. "It's a pie eating contest!'' he noted with glee. How cool! "I'd like to take part, please!'' he said wasting no time in making a decision. "Um....cherry for me!''

"Hallo!'' Adi called to the other boy who had asked for lemon flavour.

Spending her summer in London, watching pubescent students and the occasional adult shovel pie into their mouths just to gain momentary glory was not Maria's idea of a good time. But she didn't have much of a choice considering she got herself fired from her last job, and desperately needed this job to stay on her feet.

At least there was pie, and it was free.

Seated behind the table with all the pies elbow on the table and head rested lazily in her hand, she watched the kid approach with excitement. He probably was a vomiter. All little kids ending up vomiting after too much to eat too fast.

"................ okay." She reminded herself that she was getting paid to do this, and slide a pie over to the boy. "Here. Take a seat, and wait for others to come along." Maria lazily waved over at the table where the contestants were to sit and eyed the next kid approaching.

Well whoever it was was a GENIUS. And they got DOUBLE GENIUS POINTS in William Williamson's book, just for having a PIE EATING CONTEST at this here festival. His shirt sleeves were already rolled up, look. William was totally prepared to rock this contest.

"Elllllo," he called out as he strolled up to the stand with a big grin, "Can I enter? I'd like to try ALL the pies!" ALL THE PIES!

As he stood there waiting to be accepted into this contest of manliness, William side-eyed the other guys there. Pft. Shrimps. He would eat them out of pie and pie. Easy.

Marci was neeeeeeever going anywhere with grandpa ever again! The man was just so slow and UGGGGHH he kept telling her to keep quiet, AS IF her young ALIVE spirit could be tamed or held back. Nooo waaaaay, she had a lot to say and do and there wasn't enough time in the world. It was actually so much that she started singing once her grandfather left her at the Rest Spot, singing and swinging her arm to her station.

They had volunteers already?! Marci squeaked and clapped, jumping over toward the coward, "HAAAAAI!" OH great, there was only one girl here which meant THAT was her co-worker! She so casually HUGGED the girl and squeezed regardless of any protesting or grumpiness from the pretty co-worker (what was her name again?). "Hello hi! I'm sorry I'm late but I had to escort my Papa to the rest corner or spot or whatever before I come here and he uses a cane and it's so freaking slow when old people walk! But I did it! I'M HERE!" She grinned at the girl and then at the two boy and ooooooooooh la laaaa there was a veeeery nice-looking man standing too? Marci waved at him a bit too excitedly. The kids received waves as well but it was normal wave.

Something told William that he would be able to enter this competition. Huh, maybe it was the girl that told him so like 50 times in a row with her big googly eyes and obvious enthusiasm for pies???

Was she looking at him or the pies like that? No matter, HE WAS HUNGRY. "Uhhhhh okay," he chuckled, his eyes following her pointer arm in a random direction, "so I go COCONUT CREAM PIE, and BAM, it'll just be there?"

He waited to hear a BAM! sound with his pie delivery.

THERE WAS A PIE EATING CONTEST AT THIS FESTIVAL. PIE. P-I-E.

Ryan Myles could hardly believe his luck. Not only would he get to EAT his most beloved food, but he could eat AS MUCH as he wanted AND he might even win a prize for eating the most.

COULD LIFE GET ANY BETTER? He decided it couldn't.

Ryan strolled up to the staffers and grinned at them. Like, REALLY grinned. Happiest-guy-in-the-world-grin. "Hey. I'd like to enter this contest." Cue his hairflip.


...HE WAS GOING TO STUFF HIS FACE WITH PIEEEEEE. Oh, MERLIN.

There was a festival! THERE WAS A FESTIVAL! And his sister accidentally mentions it in front of him! How very heartless of her. She never used to be thaat heartless, he thought. A side effect of growing up and all, he also thought. Hopefully, that'll subside. So upon knowing, Mike, woke up early and pretty much forced his company on her. Yeah, sure, she had that intern thingy, but he just wanted to get to Diagon Alley. She could go to wherever she wanted.

Alone, the thirteen-year old boy, marched up and down the street taking a look at everything! He was considering which part to check out first when his eyes caught the 'Pie eating'. He didn't even get to the third word. It wouldn't be as important as the first two, would it? No way.

Like the wind, he headed to that section and took a quick general look around. They were ALL OLD people. Didn't really concern him or anything. Until he finally read contest! Eeeh. Well, he was still growing so he was going to count on his metabolism and his sheer love for pies! Those were enough.

"When can we start eating?!" Nope. No hello or hi or may I ask a question, not even excuse me.

Jonathan moved into the pie eating contest. THEY HAVE A PIE EATING CONTEST in this festival?!?!?! That's like the best festival ever. Who doesn't like pie, right? And it's been awhile since Jonathan ate anything with the London-ish taste? Romanian food was nice but his tongue preferred his own comfort food. And comfort food means London food.

Approaching the area, Jonathan spot a couple of people go in to enter. He was still thinking whether he will enter the contest or not. It's worth the try. Free pie plus, if he wins anything, he'll get a prize.

Then he saw Marci...... and she's full of enthusiasm. Jonathan stared at her for awhile. Since when was she full of smiles? Not that Jonathan didn't find her pretty that way but he has met her before, twice. And she's not really the enthusiastic type. Or maybe that was just Jonathan. Dragging his feet towards her, Jonathan had a smirk on his face looking at her "ahh, fancy meeting you here Miss Lee." Jonathan liked her hat. Heh.

Marci LAUGHED with the man and wanted to tell him more stuffs when there was another kid Ryan around. Well BOO. But she liked people, the more the merrier! Even if they didn't have this man's adorable face. "YEAH! Sure! Which flavor, would you like? Hmm? I don't have any particular recommendations but you can find anything you like on that table over there, don't worry though, you don't have to hold the tray to the other table where the contest will be held, I'll get it for you! It's why I'm here with my friend over there! It was my idea to volunteer this summer to do some fun work, I'm good at this. Don't worry. Your pies will be there." She was about to tell him how funny it was all contestants so far were male when a younger kid Mike came over as well.

"In a minute! Don't you want to choose a flavor? I'LL CHOOSE FOR YOU." She squeaked and skipped to the large table where trays of pie were lined up, which was when yet another person Jonathan joined in! Eeeeepp, she knew this one! Marci pulled Jonathan in a squeezing hug without waiting for permission, they were practically BFFs. "Jonathan! You came JUST in time, we're about to start our pie eating contest. You HAVE to participate, it's pretty easy. Let me choose the flavor for you, okay? Don't worry I won't get you the cabbage one, ekh. It's HO-RIBLE. Oh go over there to this long bench with the others, yes, I'll send your tray of little pies right away!" She had lots to tell this one too! Ugh, the time and the responsibility were robbing her from her friends and talk-time, you know? Ugh.

The twenty-one years old stepped back so she could look at ALL the participants and clapped her hands excitedly, "OKAY. There are six of you! Take a position at one of those two long tables and I'll send the tray of pies that you chose over to you!"

There were enough people? AWESOME! Adi followed the woman's instructions and excitedly made his way over to one of the tables. He eyed his competitors. They all looked as if the could swallow a pie in no time! Except maybe for the lemon pie kid. But Adi didn't care if he won or not. He was here for the fun! Not to mention the pie as well! Let the contest start!

Maria went DEAD in the girl's arms the instant they were around her, body going dramatically limp and her face contorting into a cringe. Why was she touching her? Ugh. "Ugh." Sweet Circe this was gonna be a long day. "I'm trying to be non-violent, but you are NOT helping with this hug." And she needed the galleons, so get off like, now.

Lucky for the both of the, she let go to greet all of the other people who approached the station. And even better, she was dealing with them all in such a annoyingly cheerful way that made it okay for her to not be all happy to be here. Balanced each other out they did.

"The faster you sit, the quicker you EAT." And be OUT of here. Maria liked that plan best. She slouched in her seat and used an extra chair to prop her feet up and ready herself for this entertainment. If it could be called that.

As the boy stood his eyes glancing at the huge table with the pies on it, also the people around. He noticed that there was another younger boy about his age. Both good and bad news. Good, because it meant that kids his age were allowed to participate. And bad because it meant that the kid had the same chances of winning unless Mike's loving for pies beat the boy's. Which could be! They could go ask in Durmstrang about the Somerlad kid and his pie consumption.

Finally that lady talked to them!

Quickly, Mike hopped and chose somewhere comfortable for eating and good for watching the others the their progress. He was gonna keep an eye on errrebody!

Choose? That required thinking. He mostly liked all kind of pies but he was thinking of what would be the one that was easiest to GULP and wouldn't make him sick. HMM HMM HMMM! He thought of Banana whip cream but them decided that any cream would make him sick eventually. Anything too sweet wasn't a wise choice.

"Lemon pie for me," He announced with a serious nod. Game time. No time to fool around, now.

"And I'm ready," Come on people. Move it, Move it, Move it, Move it ,Mooooove it!

Nashville didn't know what was wrong with him right now, it was like he was a totally different person from what he was just a few days ago but he really did start out pretty darn happy and then he slowly got all sad because of something that had happened to one of his friends that he had made plans with a couple of months ago and come to find out she had a bit of a family issue and she might not be able to spend her time in Rio with him after all but maybe Alec was still up for it? Yeah! Baking and selling ice cream pies to the random tourists on the beautiful beach and to watch people surf and Nashville only wants to bake pies and surf but he also had some things to do like his internship! YES! That was the most important thing and to of course make some new friends that he didn't make last term…you know just to make them all sad at the end of term when he has to leave and figure out what he wants to do with his life after that.

Nashville was thinking about ditching his grandparents pie shop in London and to build a new one of his own and name it whatever he wanted to know it but he wasn't very good at names…just nicknames he was good at and that made him happy.

PIE EATING CONTEST NOT WAY!!!

"'Ello, you guys have mango pie?"

Hey that weird looking kid right there with the big fro of hair was Ryan. What a weirdo. He loved that weirdo.

Before Jonathan could say anything to Marci, he was attacked with a hug, not that he's complaining with the hug. In fact, he sort of blushed when Marci just hugged him immediately. Now, that was something she doesn't do everyday. Jonathan had a different impression on Marci. She's not the meanest person, but at the same time, she's not the nicest. Other than the hug, she's still normal TALKATIVE Marci.

Jonathan smiled looking at her after the hug. However, his eyes widened big as she immediately told him to enter. "W-w-wait... I-I'm.." too late, Marci was not pausing in between sentences and she's really hyper about it. So Jonathan will just have to go with it. Hey, free pie! Who doesn't love FREE PIES?!?!?! Not Jonathan. "O-okay" he replied to Marci and dragged his feet over to the long table that she was talking about.

Oh Jonathan! What did you get yourself into. Wait! Does Marci know he's allergic to peanuts?!?!?!?!!!

Marci didn't pay much attention to her co-worker's grumpiness, she did acknowledge the word "VIOLENCE" in her speech which was a bit rude but not rude enough to make this perky blonde to calm down. So, with the beaming and clapping and bouncing, Marci watched the participants take their seats before she set a tray of pies in front of each one of them. "I chose the chocolate frog pie for you Jonathan!" She waved at him happily and blew him a good-luck kiss, right there in front of EVERYONE else.

Oh one last contestant Nashville before they started! Marci nodded vigorously at the boy and pushed him toward one of the long tables to sit at, "Of course we have mango pies, sit right here and I'll get it for you." She used her wand to summon the tray of pies to the boy and looked at her co-worked lounging on two chairs. What a SLACKER! They were having a contest over here, HULLO?! Eh. Marci would do for now.

"READY? GET SET. AND GO! EEEEEEEEEEEEP!" The contest has finally begun!

Adi was all set! His cherry pie sitting in front of him, he waited patiently for one of the ladies to tell them to begin. He watched as another older boy joined, asking for mango pies. And then finally! They were given the green light!

Arms behind him, as he had sen on television, Adi buried his face into his pie and began to scarf it down as quickly as he could! He hardly noticed how delicious it was, all he did was bite a chunk of, chewed a bit and swallowed. Sometime he would just bite and swallow though.

Nashville nodded to the very nice lady, he took a seat where she pointed him to and now all he had to do was wait for HIS mango pies. Nashville hoped that these pies would be almost as great as the pies he bakes. Buuuuut when all of this contesting was all over with he would bake more pies when he gets home.

GO? YES!? WOOO HOOO!!

Nashville dug right into his mango pie as fast as he could, there was no way that the Hufflepuff Pie Boy was going to lose this, if he did he hoped that he would lose it to Ryan of course. Nashville bit into the pie, he couldn't really taste the mangos but he still loved the pie, he was done with his first and dived into his second and third pie. Nashville was born to do this, born to eat pie.

Bite, chew, swallow! Bite, chew, swallow! Thought the chewing entailed about two or three chews before the swallow. Adi took a chance and glanced around at his competitors; they were all scarfing down their pie as fast as they could too!

Wasting no more precious time, the boy buried his face into his pie and grabbed as much as his little mouth would allow. Che, chew! One huge Swallow! And face back in the pie again! He could feel the stickiness from the pie all over his face and it was probably in the front part his hair as well. Oh Well! He'd wash that out later! Chew, chew,chew and swallow!!

Asher had been too interested in people watching to hear the start of the contest. Realizing he needed to catch up, he dove in face first, lapping up tongue fulls of lemon pie into his mouth. "Mmmmm" is all he could get out through the thick curd and meringue.

He glanced from side to side to see how the other competitors were doing and quickened his pace. Shovel. Chomp. Gulp.

Adi took a chance and glanced up once again. The last boy who had joined was tearing away at his mango pie. Seeing this just made him more determined! So the young boy ducked his face into the pie dish and began scarfing down again!

"Cherry in my nooooose!'' he suddenly shouted out. Oh great Merlin's beard!! Why did this have to happen now? "Cherry in my noooose!!'' Making rather loud snorting noises much like a pig, Adi snorted it down. Thank goodness it went down! Recovering from that moment of setback, Adi opened his mouth as wide as he could and snapped up another piece, chewed on it for a while and swallowed.

And now would you look at that! One piece left! Quickly as he could he grabbed it with his mouth. CHEW, CHEW, CHEW!!! Annnnd swallow!! "I"m done!'' Adi called out, opening his mouth to show he had nothing left and then showing the pie container.

He continued to gobble down giant mouth fulls of lemon pie. He was eating faster than he had ever eaten and not exactly chewing what was going down. Lifting his head up for only a second when he heard a boy shout he was finished, Asher was determined to finish his pie.

"Pie in my tummy, yummy yummy yummy" he sang in his head over and over as he ate. His stomach was starting to not feel so well, but he kept on going.

chocolate frog flavored pie and then a kiss from the pretty blonde Asian girl. Jonathan couldn't help but grin widely. He fixed his hair as he readied himself for eating. Winning is not an intention but if he did win, that would be just awesome. Jonathan liked chewing his food and equally distributing it to his palate. Chocolate is favorite flavor of his.

At the count of three it began. Everyone was taking this so seriously. Eating there pies like that. Jonathan took one piece and ate it. Chewing and taking his time. The pie is just delicious. Who made this sumptuous dessert? This is just yummmy!!!

after finishing, he took another one and it was really awesome. Just delicious? Eyeing Marci, he smiled towards he. It's not like its against the rules to talk to her, right? "Did you make this?" He asked as he then again took another bite from another piece. "It's yummy" pastry is his weakness after all.

Unsure if he would be able to get any more pie in him. Asher took a deep breath and smashed his face further into the sticky treat. The crust was proving to be the hardest part to finish. But, with great determination, he was able to gulp down the last flaky bits.

"I'm done, I'm done!!" He shouted with great excitement. He was so proud of himself for finishing such a large pie and, so far, keeping it down. With sweaty palms and a sickly look on his face, he waited for the other contestants to finish.
