I do bore easily, but you're managing to keep me entertained." Wow she thought he was unintelligent... he was sure of it. She was kind of uptight but he didn't point that out. Mirroring her actions he grabbed his glass of wine and took a nice drink from it, not wasting time on the swirling and swishing. Not his kind of thing.
"Glad to be of service then. What do you do in your spare time besides skulk around in Knockturn Alley and eat men?" he asked playfully as he sipped the wine this time. He was definitely intrigued... |

She picked at the bread in the basket before offering him a slice. "I don't skulk as far as I know. What about you? Hobbies? Interests?" Hmmm working class women had no hobbies. "That's kind of tragic really. Everyone needs a release from the trials of everyday life," Damien said and gave a little nod. Yep. He was being kind of normal for her... he might not even tell her he dreamt of being a pirate. That might raise some questions.
"What is your favorite genre, Hunter?" Saying the other person's name showed one was paying attention. Yep. "Would galumph be a better verb then? I like that word." Drink the wine and try not to be so darn odd... Please, Damien.
Interests. "I like my job. It is all I really have time for. Darkness never rests. But, if I do get a spare moment I do enjoy taking beautiful women out to dinner and having intriguing conversation. Otherwise I spend time on my boat," he said as he took the slice of bread from her. Yeah. He hung out on the boat and dreamt of becoming one of the scourge of the seven seas. |

Yeah. Hats. Win. Honestly the thought of Hunter wielding needles was simultaneously hot and frightening at the same time.
"Are you calling me strange?" he asked as she mentioned galoot being a good word. Yeah, he may say things like yummy, but he was not unintelligent. Galoot did roll off the tonue nicely though. "Anytime you want to we can go. I do love being out on the water." Even had a special hat he wore just for the boat. Yeah. |

Stepping into the restaraunt and promptly ordering some hot toast with a side of bacon and coffee, Elinor took a seat with a good view of one of the entrances to the Ministry of Magic. With a newspaper in one hand, and her cup of coffee in the other, she pretended to read the paper, but her eyes were fixated out the window.
She hadn't slept in nearly two days, but her bown-reddish hair was combed neatly away from her pale face, and her burgundy dress was wrinkle-free. The only way to tell would be the slight shake of her hands as she sipped her coffee, and the faint redness in her eyes. She was ready, at any moment, to jump up and run after whatever or whoever she needed to. Or run away from.
Setting down the coffee, she actully turned her face to the newspaper and took a few bites out of her toast, but her eyes, every fifteen seconds or so, flicked towards the window.

She wasn't particularly crafty. Her skills were with the written word. It didn't explain why he seemed to be grinning so broadly... perhaps Damien found her amusing. Or at least found the thought of her being all homebody funny.
"You know you're a bit strange, my friend. And you like it that way." And really... didn't he know that a boat was a much better date?

Go for it, I say." Yeah everyone needed a hobby and who knew... she may even become great at it with some practice. Pfft. He didn't become as awesome as he was without some practice.
He began to laugh a very masculine rumbling laugh and shook his head. "Well, you are definitely right about that. Where's the fun in being normal? If there is even such a thing." The waiter chose that moment to show up with their food and he nodded his head at the man and said his thank yous. "Well, this looks lovely. Perhaps we can go see my boat after the meal?" She seemed interested and he did like to show it off. Win win. |

As she listened, Frida's eyes grew increasingly wider. That was until they eventually got as large as they could and they did indeed resemble 'doe-eyes'...the pet name her husband had for her. Of course, a doe would usually have large dark eyes, whereas Frida's were pale. But hats off to Malachi for the adorability factor. "Gosh...Gavin...". She was almost at a loss of what to say next. That date really was a disaster...but then- 'Of course.' "That does it. I'm going to get you a helmet for your birthday. Aaand a first aid kit." “Ah well at least it’s here and not too out in the open so it’s alright,” Gavin said with a smile knowing the fact that his and Tasha’s feelings for each other came out rather publicly could have been a major downfall. But so far their colleagues other then their close friends had not been too into their business. He took the last dregs of his drink as he watched her eyes widden progressively.
It was Gavin's turn to laugh, this partially in effort to break the tension seeing as he could see Frida wasn't sure what to say. "Well it is coming up soon," he replied in half jest. "And might come in handy when the next disaster hits the department,” he added with another round of chuckles.

Had she really devoured all that bread?! Yikes. 'I'm going to have some major dieting to do after the baby is born. Gosh.' It wasn't like Frida hadn't gone up a couple sizes already. "Yeah?" 'Yeah? What do you mean by 'yeah' Frida? Duuhhhh! Of course it's coming up soon! Remember the last couple of years? Geez...' She blinked a couple of times after those thoughts and sipped some more water...slowly, as though surprised that her mind could still function in it's slightly crazy way. "I'll make sure that it's your favorite color. Maybe even charm it to emit an alarm when it is hit by something." Frida smiled lightly and finished off her water, and placed the sports bottle back into her tiny bag.
Back to work she supposed. Darnit.

If not tonight then some other time for sure," he commented. Putting his fork down he picked up his napkin and wiped his mouth before taking a sip of the wine.
Most exotic place he ever visited... Piratey places. That is where but he couldn't say that could he? Hmmm. "I would have to say that the islands throughout the Carribean are the most exotic I have seen. I stayed in the Carribean for a number of weeks. Enjoyed every moment of it. That is not to say that Greece is not beautiful in it's own right." Yeah. He loved the open seas. LOVED them. ARGH. |

Walking towards the restaurant across the street, Brooke managed to get a table by the window as she waited for her good friend Camila to arrive. They haven't seen each other for quite some time due to the fact that the ministry was keeping them both busy and they only had time to have a quick chat during breaks or when they accidentally bump into each other at walks. It was nice to have all this time just to relax and wait for her friend without anything to worry about.
While waiting, she decided to take out her phone. It was a muggle/wizard infested place so might as well blend in.

Camila walked into the resturant which was pretty crowded and looked around; it was good to get outside the busy office sometime. She looked around and spotted Brooke almost immediately; her hair was a special colour indeed! "Broooookey!" Squealed Camila, bending down to hug her. It has been a long time since they've talked and an even longer time since they've gone somewhere together. Camila was really glad at finally having a chance to talk to Brooke, as she was bursting with, ... nothing to say. [LOL]

Wiping the napkin over his moustache to be sure there were no food bits there he smiled at her. "It is quite tempting at times. There is too much bad stuff around to not want to escape it all once in a while," he said thoughtfully. He would take her away if she would allow it. Indeed he would.

Back to work she supposed. Darnit. “If you insist,” Gavin remarked with a smile and a laugh certainly enjoying his lunch break. The man however had the feeling it was probably coming up to a close and as he glanced at his watch made a slight face realizing time had obviously gotten away from the both of them. “Guess its back to the danger zone for us, he remarked in jest. He then got up from his chair and got rid of any garbage they had had into the nearest receptacle before turning to his companion. "Shall we m'lady?" he mused holding out a hand in offer to help her up to her feet.

Frida gave a tiny nod and stood up, she allowed Gavin to offer her a little assistance and took his hand. "You're such a nice young man." She said in a mock elderly voice and linked arms with her friend, and took back her natural voice. "It's back to work for us then. Follow the yellow brick road, Gav." 'Hahaha!' Wow! An actual muggle movie reference that Frida actually knew about.
Frida slipped the narrow strap of her small bag over her right shoulder. It felt nice to get up and stretch her legs after having them stuck underneath a dining table for a while.

She wished that she could be as calm as her, because well .. she did get a bit cukoo everyonce in a while. "At least I'm not the only one." She said grining at Brooke. She looked up and saw a waiter coming towards them, about time. "Hello ladies," The waiter said courteously. "I'm Chad, I'll be your waiter this evening." He said, putting a basket of breadsticks infront of them. Then he took out a small note and waited for them to order. "Erm .." Camila said, taking up the menu. "What would you like?" She asked Brooke, her eyes scanning the menu.

Brooke smiled at Camila. She always seem to be stressed out. Brooke should teach her how to chill once in a while.. haha..
A waiter came and asked them what they would like. " Okay..erm.." Brooke looked at the menu and after making up her mind she told her order to the waiter who happily jotted down her order. " Okay, you turn." she grinned. OOC: Nice job with the waiter thingo

She was still undecieded, but after hesitating for another minute she just asked for the same dish as Brooke. And that was as boring as it would get. "So how have you been? Other than y'know .." She trailed away, chuckling. She wondered whether Brooke would be up to a trip out of the country come the holidays. That would be a really good way to break the boring tradition. They could even go with several other people, like a group trip. Hmm, she mulled it over thinking about whether she'd suggest it or not. OOC; Haha, thanks

OOC; Haha, thanks Brooke put down the menu and sipped her glass of water again. " I've been great actually." she smiled at Camila. " More stressed than ever though.." she said. She told Camila about what happened at her department and how they're coping with the recent attack that happened. " ..and now we're figuring a way on how to help muggles with traffic." she said with a sigh. Not that she had a problem with it, just that it will take a lot of effort in doing so.
" So how is your department?" she asked. Since she's been so busy with hers she haven't had time to visit any other departments in the Ministry.
