James sensed someone approaching and looked up from his work, eyes slightly wider than usual thanks to the bag of nerves he descended into when anyone tried to make conversation with him.

In his frantic search for words, he did somehow note the curious way in which the clearly older lady was looking at him. He had grown used to such looks since he came to work in the Ministry. He was an oddball - not good at blending in no matter how hard he tried. He attempted a warm smile at his 'Department Head', but it came across extremely coy. “H-h..” NO! He cleared his throat and took a breath and tried to control his stutter. “Hello, ma'am. I-it's a pleasure. I'm James Greenwood. I work in the Werewolf Capture D-division?” The statement was more of a question thanks to his nerves and inexplicable uncertainty. He averted his green eyes from the woman and reached out to pluck a juicy red tomato from his plant. “T-tomato?” He offered her attempting that smile once again and falling short of the mark.

"Ah I see, well then you will stay in that division, as long as that is perfectly alright with you?" she asked. Afterall she wanted her employees to be happy and not secretly plot her downfall behind her own back. No that would be awful, she was planning on staying here for a loooong time.

Erica tried to give the friendliest smile possible to quite possibly the most nervous employee she had ever seen. And Awwww he had a slight stutter now THAT was just adorable. Though she shouldn't really be focusing on the cuteness of her employees and more on what they were actually doing. "Pleasure to meet you too James" she replied, still trying to be as warm and friendly as possible. Her eyes scanned over the neatness of his desk. That was the one thing she couldn't stand. Mess. That and people testing her authority, like being late, and answering back.

Did he just offer her a tomato?

"Erm no thank you, I'm not so keen on... Raw Tomatoes" she blinked a few times but ended with a quiet laugh.

He chuckled softly, keeping himself from looking her over. If it was one thing he was good at, it was sensing a particular type of discomfort. He'd honed that sense very well in the past, and it remained in the present. He lowered he voice ever so slightly so that his words flowed like silk: "But of course, my dear. Arrangements to make and people to talk to. Perhaps we could get to know each other at a later date?" The words were innocent, but he planted a seed of insinuation just to see if he could bring color to those pale cheeks. After all, a healthy blush looked good on anyone, didn't it?

"And you've just got here too, if I'm not mistaken?" He was never mistaken. That was what he thought, at least. "So miss Erica, are we on a first name basis?"

His attention was diverted, however, a moment later.

A man had come up to Erica to introduce himself, and what the man said next caught Clarke's attention. The being division head, eh? This was a good time to introduce himself to his new division head, he decided. "Hello," he said in his Italian accent. "I believe you're the being division head?" He asked, but his tone sounded like he'd always known this, rather then for a few seconds. "Clarke Luciano, I've just started." He gave the man a light smile.

Ms Radley seemed terribly nice and James found her warm smile put him at ease just a little bit. He even managed a genuine, albeit small, smile in return. “I h-hope you'll be very ha-happy here.” He bowed his head respectfully.

He looked at the tomato in his hand and suddenly felt rather foolish for offering it to the lady like that. He placed it in the fruit bowl at the other end of his desk, feeling the blush of rouge creeping into his milky cheeks as she laughed at him. James was a polite young man, had impeccable manners, but he lacked a certain social etiquette.. mainly because he was reclusive and wasn't used to interacting with people.

“D-do you have any specific assignments you wish me to focus on, ma'am?” He closed the large handwritten binder on his desk and looked up at Erica expectantly.

"Yes I would love to stay in the same department" she told the head of department and then asked her "Where is my desk?"




She walked over to James and said "Hello, I am Katalin Starr!" she offered her hand to shake, she could sense that he was nervous.

Grin still present, the man shrugged his shoulders lightly. "Nikos is what I go by, but I don't mind being called by my full name if that's what you prefer." He wasn't confusing her was he? Hm. "You can just call me Nikos." Unless she liked his full name. Really, he would answer to both. Rocking back on his heels sightly, he slipped his hands into his pockets. "I'll be here, boss." Heh. Felt weird calling someone else boss. "For whatever you need."

Yes that had done it. The department Heads cheeks had turned a lovely shade of pink. Well at least it matched the dress she was wearing that day. Though for her to blush was in her bad books. "Determine the word 'date" she asked an eyebrow raised. She'd be perfectly willing to discuss work over a coffee at a later date as in time. That was what he meant yes?

Erica smiled the more she heard the accent, so SO pretty. "Yes I have. New job brings new opportunities." Goodness now that was definitely cheesy for her standards. "First days always the most exciting don't you think?" she asked, a bright grin on her face. At least that was her opinion anyway. Because first days were all about getting to know one another weren't they?

Anyway. "Yes. I'd much prefer it if my employees called me just Erica, Ms Radley makes me sound old" she let out a light chuckle.

Yes. That stutter was extremely cute. Wow she was blessed with a wonderful variety of characters in her Department. "I'm pretty sure I will. I love working with Magical Creatures and well, you lot all seem like amazing people to get the opportunity to work with" she smiled. What was with her cheesiness today? It was way below her usual barrier. The Blonde made sure to give him another friendly smile just to boost his confidence up a little.

And apparently now he was turning the shade her cheeks had turned just a few moments before. "I'm sure they taste really good though, perhaps in a tomato soup rather than raw" she suggested. Yes she could really do with some of that right now. A warm soup in the spring. Sometimes a cup of tea really wasn't enough.

"Well I think you should ask your division head that question, they probably have something planned for you already." Seeing as she had arrived midday through a working week and she didn't want to put a hold on anything that had already started here. But that expectant look made her feel guilty that she didn't have anything.

"Then Nikos is what I shall call you. I err...Didn't quite catch the full name anyway, besides it a considerable amount easier to just call you that" she smiled. Anyway she preferred calling people by what they were used to. Made the working relationship so much more relaxed, and a comfortable work place was always good. "That's great" she smiled. Yep she'll be talking to them later.

Katalin walked over to her desk and puts some pics of her children and husband on it, she smiled at them as she sat down. She would put a baby scan there when she gets one.

Drago chuckled as amusement and a little mischief sparkled in his eyes. "That is the word that came to mind? My my... Well, I meant date, my dear," he said smoothly. "As in a year, month, day, and time." Well, that could still be either to a mind willing to work that way, however that was the basic definition of date. Erica raised an eyebrow, extremely high at the mischevious sparkle in his eyes. She wasn't sure what to make of it, except she could still feel the heat rising in her cheeks the more she spoke to him. And that was not something Ms Radley wanted to happen. "That was what I thought, but it couldn't harm to ask now could it?" she asked. Questions were good, she didn't mind them. Always get your facts straight right? A coffee eh? The Department Head swished her hair back into a ponytail as she took in the information. One of her employees was asking her to go have a coffee sometime and discuss..... What? She looked round, shame her husband was away they could have had lunch together! She would ask Jaime to have lunch together and she wanted to make some new friends.

Of course, the entire conversation being the speed of thought took less than a second, so at least he didn't look strange standing there having a conversation in his head. "So, the little coffee shop near here, or the one downstairs?" There. He would give her a nice choice of a casual or a work environment.

"I've found a lot of people consider it easier to call me Nikos," he mused with a slight nod of agreement in her name choice. Few called him by his full name, some finding it a bit of a mouthful. His lips twitched, grin growing ever so slightly. He would have repeated his name, but she had his file if she really wanted to know it. "It was good meeting you, Miss Erica. I have a bit of work to do," his eyes flicked to his desk. Which, like his hair, was a bit messy. "If you need me that's where I'll be." Bidding her farewell with a polite nod, Nikos turned on his heels and sauntered over to the desk.

She walked to her desk with the first scans of her unborn twins, it was too soon to find out the sex of the babies.

"Here we go!" she passed the scans to Jaime and said "They look so sweet and it is too soon to find out the sexes yet but I am hoping for a boy and a girl!"

" they look so beautiful" she smiled.I really don't tell anyone this but i have a twin sister named Jade before i dyed my hair i was blonde where identical twins.I saw a picture of her now and we look the same she laughed."yeah joey is too she smiled.

"How long have you got left?" she asked Jaime and then said "I am 8 weeks pregnant!" she wished her husband was here, "I still can't believe I have a daughter Hogwarts age!"

"I'm due Tomorrow" she smiled."Thats awesome" she smiled.Yeah i have two at hogwarts age and one boy.My twin sister is finally moving back to wizarding world.I get to meet my twin newphews she smiled.

"That is sweet, you should be at home with your feet up!" she told Jaime, she knew that she was dangerous for the babies if she doesn't rest.

Erm... Was it her or was there a strange silence going on right now? The Department Head looked around the cubicles momentarily until he spoke again.

"I think i'd like the opportunity to get out of the Ministry actually, so the one down the road sounds good" she grinned. Yes Erica Radley was genuinely grinning. "Now back to work I think" she decided to get a little order around here. "Your a division head after all..." and she was leaving it up to them to dispatch jobs for their department today.

"I've only ever been called Erica, or Eri by my close friends. Its good when you have a short name, no need to shorten it anymore is there" she spoke. "And it's so much better then being called Ms Radley" she continued. Bleh formalities. Her eyes followed his down to his desk. Hang on was that MESS?!?! Her eyes glared at it but she choose not to say anything. Did he not KNOW about organisation? "It's a pleasure to meet you too. And I hope to see that desk cleaner by tomorrow" she added quickly on the end, smirking a little just before Nikos walked off.

She was waiting for someone to give her some jobs, she wanted to feel busy! She stroked her belly as she waited.
