Violet nodded. "Yes. Not too interesting, but I like it, so it's good enough for me. What about you?" she asked, changing the subject. "Did you work before you came here?" She wanted to know a bit more about her employees.

Sophia looked over her empty desk and frowned. It needed a lot of work. It was a good thing she was so apt at house hold spells and charms. She would have her work area looking like gold very soon. She started by making her desk a shiny rich mahogany looking texture, then she conjured a vase and added tropical flowers to it. After that she added separators and her documents, then a family portrait of her family.

She was a bout to sit when she realized she needed to spruce up her chair as well. Pointing her want to it, it replaced the old chair with a comfy looking leather one. Finally she sank into it and pulled some documents to her.

Right.

So now was the time she should go and make her way into the work areas yes? See it all in action, see how things worked around here. Get to know the place before she really got down and dirty with her work.

So the 31 year old Blonde walked straight into the work areas with a smile on her face, she was excited yet nervous about her first day, true they wouldn't be doing an awful lot today, just making general accqauntaces with one another, discussing a few things here and there, meeting those she hadn't meet in her office yet, she still wanted to make a good first impression, so here she was.

Ahem! *Cough*

"Morning" she addressed everyone in the room, looking from division to division, eying what was placed around and smiling at individual workers. "I'm Erica. Erica Radley, your new Department Head"

Violet turned at the sound of a voice she didn't recognize. Before her stood a woman she didn't know. Must be the new Department Head, she thought. Her assumption was confirmed only a moment later.

"Welcome to Level Four!" she called out from where she was standing. She'd introduce herself more formally a little later, she decided.

Elinor was leaning over her desk, long hair pulled back into a sloppy ponytail, and held a few pieces of parchment paper in one hand, while the other made small circles on her temple. Desk work did this to her. Flopping the papers down onto the desk, she kicked at the floor with her leather boots, rolling her chair to the large file cabinet, where she pulled open a drawer that contained still more papers and slid a file folder out of it.

Rolling back to the desk, she picked up a quill, signed her name at the bottom, stamped the parchment with a "DENIED" stamp, then duplicated the documents, sliding one set into the folder, and placing the other in her "Out" bin. Only a couple hundred more to go.

Eyeing the battered briefcase she had slid under her desk, she remembered what had happened this morning, but before she could think much farther, she heard the phrase "New Department Head", and immediately pulled her hair out of her sloppy ponytail. Standing, she saw the blonde woman and took a step towards her, extending a hand.

"Elinor Danvers. Pleasure, Miss Radley."

Emerald sighed. "I wish." She said sadly. Emmy had to admitt this was kinda boring. Changing the subject again, "Anyways, do you have any pets?"

"So this is your first job?" said Violet. "I'm sorry, I still haven't been able to review your files." She shook her head. "No pets. I'm allergic to cats. We do have a delivery owl, but that's all. There's no one at home during the day to take care of any pets."

Emmy's eyes widen at the mention of cats. "You are allergic to them? That's sad! I love cats and I have one of my own." Really, allergic to cats? Emerald wouldn't live without them! They are just great!

Violet nodded and lifted one shoulder, then let it drop. A show of regret. "Yes, unfortunately," she said. "I love cats as well, but I can't be around one all of the time. That's partly why I wasn't helping back when all of the animals escaped awhile back. Too many cats."

Erica set down a pile of files on a work space that seemed to be free in the room, she'd remove it if it was someone's desk or workspace, but right now they were aching her arms and she needed to put them somewhere. Her eyes scanned the room again, a satisfied smile planted on her face. She was lucky, so lucky, to have recieved this wonderful job opportunity, she had the perfect office, the perfect career and hopefully the perfect people to work with. Well that last one she was going to find out now wasn't she? Her finger ran over a work space and she lifted it to inspect. A little dirty, that would change pretty quickly. A clean work place is a happy one.

But then a female voice called out across the room and her head searched for the source of the call. "Thank you" she replied, a happy tone reflected in her voice. A warm welcome, that satisfied her.

Ah but then she was once more torn away by a further voice, another female one, however this one was closer. As she turned to face her, Erica was surprised to see that she had stepped forward an arm outstretched. Politeness. Now THIS she liked. The Department Head let out a genuine smile, before she answered her employee.

"Please. Just call me Erica" she corrected her, accepting her hand and shaking it back. The woman looked down at what she was doing, paperwork, reasonably organised paperwork. "Well I'm glad to see someone is getting down to work, organization, I think that is definitely key in a work place, do you not agree?" she asked. That would be one thing they'd have to learn about her. Erica really, REALLY liked to be organized. She could be a tough cookie, not nessercarily strict, just more passionate. Perhaps even a touch on bossy but she was caring, most definitely, she worked with and for the animals and her employees safety always came in at number one.

Emerald nodded in understanding. "Well, look on the bright side! No scratches!" Emmy remebered her scratches. They are terrible.

Elinor held her serious-ish face for just a moment, before her new boss smiled. Phew. Elinor smiled back, nodding at Miss--Erica's...request. Her gaze darted, for just a moment, towards her cubicle, which Erica described with an odd word...'organized'? Well, yes, she supposed, in a way it was organized. Everything was in piles, folders, or drawers, but sorted only by the twisted system of Elinor's mind. Oh, well. Nothing wrong with that.

"Certainly makes things move faster," she replied, stepping back to have a seat in her chair once more. It was true. If anything wasn't where Elinor remembered putting it, she could spend hours looking for just that one thing. Not productive at all. Turning slightly, she raised a cup of lukewarm tea to her lips, then set it back down on one of the only clear spots on her desk, before turning back to face the new Department Head.

Violet's face spread out in a smile. "No scratches!" she agreed, laughing. "I suppose that's the one good part."

Violet looked at her watch. My, it was getting late! "I have work to do!" she said with some alarm. "It was wonderful talking with you, Emmy, but I'm afraid I have to leave you. Much to do...if you ever need anything, don't hesitate to come and find me, all right?"

Oh my! It's that late already! "It was a pleasure talking to you too." She said, "Thanks!" she added as she trying to pull her own watch out of her pocket. Ha! She must have forgotten it!

Katalin was returning to work after having two children, she wondered if it had changed, she walked into the work area and wondered where her desk was.

Drago made his way around the office, humming something lightly to himself. His deep voice was oddly suited to humming, though the notes still didn't seem very fluid. Whether deliberate on his part, the eeriness of the song, or a sad failure due to the limitations of the human voice was unknown. It did leave it rather haunting at points, and yet others one could almost recognize the song, as he alternated between harmony and melody.

The humming continued, just heard as he passed each person, each cubicle, as he absently shuffled through his paperwork on the way to the filing cabinets.

Ah how much easier life would be if everyone was just organized. She was almost always organized, had to be as a Department Head, one missing document could cause a great big havoc across the Department. So that was why everything was neatly filed away in her office. The woman smiled warmly back at her employee. "Well the quicker things get done the quicker the day goes by yes?" she asked. Not that she didn't mind being here in fact she loved it. But she had a life at home, though the 31 year old still remained single, her career certainly over ruled that aspect. "Well I won't distract you any further from your work" the Blonde smiled once again.

Erica's eyeline was then distracted by a new arrival into the room. A smile graced her pale-ish complexion as her head wondered over to the woman. "Good Morning" her voice rang out over the cubicles.

Another new faced graced the room and Erica found her eyes once again wondering over to the soul that had entered in. "Good Morning to you too" her voice floated over to the door as she made her way straight over. "I'm Erica Radley" she introduced herself "Your new Department Head" the smile maintained on her pearly whites. Best to make introductions first seeing as they hadn't been in the room the first time.

He was pulled out of this thoughts, and his humming, by the introduction of his new Department Head. He tucked the papers away as he gave her a charming smile. "Oh yes, Erica," he started, his voice deep and rich, which seemed to match the romanticism of his features. "Yes, I got your missive. I'm Drago Carracio, your Spirits Division Head." He held out a hand in an old style, one that said it existed not for a handshake, but for a moment of chivalry and etiquette.

Katalin smiled at the woman "I am Katalin Starr, I have returned to work after having my children" she told the woman.

Elinor's head bobbed in agreement, before she bid her Department Head a good day and turned back towards the wasteland of paperwork. Sigh. Glancing over at a framed, weathered newspaper clipping on the wall, and read the heading for the thousanth time.

Those were the days. Back when every day was an adventure, like the things most people can only read about. Elinor fingered the ring on her left hand for a moment before pulling a stapled stack of parchment paper out of her "IN" box, picked up a quill, and began scanning it.

It had taken him longer than he thought, finding Marigold. Or it could have been the trip to the muggle street that had taken him a long time. Or the stop for coffee could have been it. Either way, it had taken Nikolaos a long time to return to the work area.

Sauntering into the area with a coffee in one hand and his raven perched on his shoulder, the man let his eyes drift around. He wasn't in any hurry to return to his desk that was covered in papers. Though it seemed Marigold was, as she flew off his shoulder and to her perch that was connected to his desk.

Watching her disinterested for a moment, he lightly shrugged his shoulder before wondering aimlessly around the area.

Ryanne waved at Nikos as he passed by. She seen him enter the work are and watched his bird fly to his desk, which wasnt very tidy. She had cleaned her next and was looking at the last few folders she had on her desk as he walked in she dabbled the last few notes and stood up " Hello, how are you? I see you got some coffee. I had to go get some earlier." she said
