Chad opened up Syd's door. "Bonjour," he greeted with a small smile. "Minister Taylor has requested your presence in her office. Immediately." With a shrug and a chuckle, Chad turned away from the office and started to make his way back to Reagan's office. |
Blackstone knocked on the door, poking his head in. "Hi, uh, do you have a moment?" |
"Uh, yeah, I'll just be right back. Stay here," Syd said as he followed Chad out of his office. Time to see the Minister again... After a good few minutes, Syd had returned. He had his notepad under one arm and his hands in his pockets. After unlocking the door, he motioned for Blackstone to enter. |
"Sure" Blackstone nodded as he left. He stood by the door waiting, stricken by the childish urge to sneek in Syd's office, perhaps sitting at his desk in a dragon leather chair. Did department heads get dragon leather? All of these thoughts were dissoelled, however, when Syd returned and they entered. "I have a question- about this car dealer case. Sorry for taking so long on this, I know the Wizengamot wants a trial soon." he added "It's the question - and opinion- of some in my division, about the use of force. Do you think, as the man is very crafty, and as the court needs real evidence, that force would be ok here? And if so, how would we Go about getting permission to track him or use veratiserum?" |
"Welp," Syd said as he stepped into the office with his hands still in his pockets. "I don't want y'all going nuts with force. Maybe a few threats and make an arrest for his fishy behavior. Then when he comes in we can question him and I can see what I can do for some of that veratiserum." |
"I understand" Blackstone said, nodding. "It's not like we want to hurt him or anything, but it would make things much easier to know that's an option. Thanks!" he said, and walked toward the door. "Oh, and thanks for the new hires, it's really helpful" he added before exiting. |
"You got it. I know ya got a good head on ya, Martimus," Syd said, leaning back in his chair. New hires. It was good to have new hires. They were severely understaffed these days... |
