As you enter, the same number and color of grey cubicals fill the room as well as the division head's office at the back. This division deals with all the things of international trade. |

He was technically still in charge of the employees here, at least until they found a replacement, but he was also now in charge of the British Seats too - and that meant he had a lot of work to do. "Hello Emma, Tonya," he said cheerfully, nodding at both the women. He was almost to his desk when he noticed Tonya carrying some sort of box - was she leaving?! "Heyyyyy," Rico drawled, stopping in his tracks. "Are you moving desks or something?" He blinked a ran and hand through his dark hair, a little lost as to her sudden motives for cleaning out her desk.

"No I'm not moving desks. I recieved a transfer." she said motioning to the box, "I'm the new liason for the department of magical transportation." She said with a smile.

A transfer? But why?! Does she think I'm a bad boss? Is the office too boring for her? What did I do?!!
But for the sake of politeness, he quickly closed his mouth and refrained from voicing any of his thoughts. Rico instead smiled gently at his former employee and offered her a congratulatory handshake. "Well congratulations to you, Ms. Springs. I suppose I'll still see you around the Ministry then?"

Maybe he liked the formality a little, hehheh, it made everything seem more British. And he was in London, after all. "Hey, we can get exciting here on the fifth floor," he winked, thinking of the upcoming conference and the pattern that maybe that other division position was jinxed.....but that was just a theory, after all. "I'll see you later then - you probably have a lot of work piled up already." Merlin knows I do. "Good luck, Tonya!" He grinned earnestly, letting her know that he harbored no hard feelings for her leaving. A little change was good now and then.

Emma heard her name being mentioned and almost saw Rico pass by at a jog. She nearly thought she had dreamed the whole thing. But as she stood up, she saw Rico going toward his office; so she decided to be just a tad bold and yelled back, " Hey Rico!" But once said, she felt a bit too bold and quickly sat back down, to blush in private. This was really no way to act in an office, she thought to herself with a self-disparaging grin. Anyway, if he thought it was fine, she shouldn't really get uptight about it, now should she? She grabbed the book on her table once again but had lost her interest in it, all together. This lack of activity was getting to her. She needed something to occupy her time.
Without another thought, she quickly got up again and walked over to Rico's office. Oh snap!she said quietly, noticing that he was already talking to Tonya. Just my luck! I had to pick the one time he seemed busy...

He was thinking of sneaking a nap in before moving to his new division...but alas, work was first. "Oh, you want to talk? She did have a book in her hand - maybe she'd found something important?

She took her wand out and banished the book she brought with her, back to her cubicle. She eagerly took a seat in front of Rico's desk, perched on the edge, dying to know what she would be doing for her boss.
Taking a deep breath to steady herself, she said as calmly as possible, "Busy? Not really, Rico. Was just reading about Trade routes of the Orient and wizard trade. Pretty dry reading actually..." she pushed back a stray lock of hair behind her left ear. "What can I do for you?" she said with a shy smile.

Always a good trait to have - that and ambition. A little ambition never hurt anyone, as Rico knew. A lot of ambition, on the other hand, could be dangerous.
But back to Eager Emma. "As part of the conference opening ceremonies, we're apparently having something similar to the Muggle Ohpicnics - that sporting event thing they do." He smiled at her, hoping she knew more about them than he did. Rico had a vague idea of Muggle sports but it was definitely something he needed to do more reading on...if he ever got a spare moment away from work. "Anyways, the boss has requested that we get a statue-ish thing that's a cross between a wand and a torch, since apparently they light some sort of fire to symbolize the beginning of their sporting events? Isn't that how the Ohpicnics work?" He forehead crinkled a bit as he looked to Emma for a response. "She wants Ollivander's to make it special for the conference. Just tell them you're from the Ministry and they should know what you're talking about. A wand-shaped torch, remember that."
He nodded seriously although his dark brown eyes were still twinkling. Personally, the Muggle-torch-lighting sounded...odd, at best, and he was very curious to see how Emma handled this assignment.

He nodded seriously although his dark brown eyes were still twinkling. Personally, the Muggle-torch-lighting sounded...odd, at best, and he was very curious to see how Emma handled this assignment. Emma had to bite the inside of her lip, hoping not to giggled as she listened on to Rico talking about an event equivalent to....Ohpicnics!!!! A small snort came out of her, wanting it or not. Wizards were so cute when they tried to act Muggle-knowing. Ok! she thought, get back to this serious business. He wanted her to go to Olivander's to have them make a wizard Olympic torch? This sounded odd to her. Wouldn't a gobblin-made silver artifact be better? Or maybe fairy wear, it could be quite lovely if they made it. She could imagine it in her mind already. Unless... unless they wanted a wrought hewed piece of aged wood to hold a sacred flame?
Emma composed herself again, "Hmm, Olivander's you say? They can make objects of that nature, sir?" she questioned casually. Wondering who had suggested that idea. Not wanting to ruffle any feathers, she nodded. He had given her the assignment and she would of course be following through with his directions. "Yes, well... if that is what is demanded for the conference, I'll make sure that it is done as specified." She took out her small notebook from her pocket to scribble a note about the specifications.
She grinned again, Ohpicnics.... "Oh, and by the way, Rico, it's Olympics. Not Ohpicnics. And they do light a torch after a very long marathon, through many nations, with many athletes along the way. Like a relay race actually." She had to give him a small clue about that muggle tradition. She didn't want him to look foolish by his lack of knowledge. "The receptacle is usually a very wide, shallow bowl shaped thing. That way, all the spectators can view it without being hindered by its sides."

"The receptacle is usually a very wide, shallow bowl shaped thing. That way, all the spectators can view it without being hindered by its sides." Tilting his head slightly, Rico watched Emma digest the assignment he'd just given her. Er, was she okay? It wasn't too much to spring on a person all at once, was it? He opened his mouth to ask her something like that when she had a question. Of course, good employees always doubt their employers, he thought, snickering to himself. And they always question things I don't know the full details about.....yeahhh..... "Um...I guess Ollivander's can do it...?" Rico raised his shoulders in a shrug. How would he know? He'd never been to the shop, he'd only heard of their alleged extraordinary wand-making talent. "Why do you ask? Is there a local shop that could make such a wand-torch thingy better?" That was doubtful - after all, Ollivander's was famous throughout all of the Wizarding World, even in his native America....hmm.
He was already pondering her suspicions when she called him out on his apparently obvious lack of Muggle knowledge. "Er...Oh-limp-nics?" Rico repeated, raising his eyebrows slightly. "Right, right, a great Muggle tradition, obviously something.....er......something I guess I should do more reading about....." he shook his head and couldn't help but sigh a little - there was no point in pretending he was a Muggle expert. He only wished he were.

They love their sports on the tele, Olympics included. Though rugby is his fave to watch." She almost reached over to pat him on the hand, but stopped herself in the nick of time.
She slipped her notebook in her pocket and got up. "I'll go to Olivanders as planned, but i'm not too sure they can actually do it. But I won't know till I get there." she went to the door, paused and finally smiled at him. "See you in a bit. Hopefully, I'll have good news about it when I return. Toodles!"

Yeah, I really need to go to the bookshop sometime soon....read up on Muggle sports, Muggle eckeltronics, Muggle motors, and that Harry Putter kid...
He sighed and waved Emma bye, hoping that she would indeed have some progress with the project. After all, he barely even knew anything besides what he had relayed to her.
And then he was back to work, shuffling papers into stacks and cleaning out his desk. Rico had a new office now, and a new division specifically. The British Seats - he was taking over for Nick who went and got himself transferred to another ministry, for some odd reason.
After piling more or less most of his office supplies into a few boxes (a surprising amount of boxes, actually), Rico levitated the stuff out of his office. He turned his wand on the door briefly, and then removed his name plate from its prominent, central location, tacking a note to the door instead. Quote: Trading Standard employees,
I've switched divisions to British Seats since their division head quit, but I'll still be in charge of you guys until we find a replacement for me. I'm moving to the other office though, so if you have any questions don't hesitate to stop by there. Rico Short, sweet, and to the point. Rico sighed and then levitated his boxes out the door, heading to the other office space.

Donia breezed into the office, coffee in one hand and her briefcase levitating next to her. She walked up to the notice board and glanced around, her ice blue eyes darting from memo to memo, looking for something that just may include her. She ran her long fingers through her white-gold hair and was about to walk away when a hadnwritten message caught her eye. She read through it quickly, and then her eyes widened. Rico was leaving? What in the name of Merlin's pink pinstriped pajamas was going on? Everyone was getting a transfer! Donia sighed, a little disheartened. She hoped they got a good division head; she had thought that Rico was a pretty cool guy, and she would hate if they got a dragon lady for a head. She walked over to her cublicle and pulled out a piece of parchment, a raven quill (appropriate, considering her Hogwarts house) and some magenta ink. Dear Mum she started...

Hogwarts RPG Name: Adriana "Addie" Valentine Second Year | Donia sat down in her desk, idly twirling her wand and reading the Prophet. She paid special attention to the Quidditch scores and the news on the International Confrence. She sighed and set down the paper and her coffee. The confrence decorating had been more intense than any decorating she'd ever seen before.

Emma came in the office, deciding to go back to studying that book on Oriental transportation standards and practices. She passed a cubicle where a fellow worker was obviously not very busy as she the Prophet at her desk. She nodded to the girl, a faint smile on her lips, wondering if anyone in this division had heard who their new boss was. Rico had been a charming man to work for.
She stepped inside her own cubicle and opened her desk drawer, grabbing the large tome she had found int the minuscule library of the department. Propping the book upon her desk, she first reached for her empty drinking glass and filled it with a hastily mumbled "Aguamenti". She was parched and needed a few sips of water before starting to read the book.
As she drank deeply from her glass, she flipped open the book to the last page she had read. Her eyes fell to the clever moving image of a moving magical carpet. It looked like a fun ride, or so she thought as she settled in for a leisurely read.

It was with extreme trepidation, that the tall man walked through the office's towards the back, to the office. His office. That was a scary thought. Licking his lips, he nudged the door open with his hip and he flipped the lights on with a small flick of his wand and a quick lumos. After setting the pair of boxes he was carrying on the top of the empty, oak desk he sighed and looked around the desk and out into the offices beyond.
It was with a small grin that Iain Hunter, came to rest on the door frame of his new office and with an even bigger grin he added his own name to the door. Iain Hunter Division Head: International Trading Standard Body
He knew that he would need to talk to the members of his division, but there was no point of doing that when he had no idea what needed to be done. First, a meeting with Madam Bass. Second, meetings with the members of his division to see if they knew what was going on, and what needed to be done.
With a smile on his face, and a bounce in his step, Iain moved towards Evaline's office.

As they walked past his division door, Iain turned in the corridor to look at Lili. "It's been a pleasure." He said, as his stomach did sommersaults again. "I will see you at seven?" He stated, although he considered the possibility that it came out sounding like a question.

Jacob made his way from the Breakroom to the Trading Division. As he entered the rows of cubicles, his temporary tea mug in one hand and his France folder in the other, Jacob realized that he'd never been in this particular Division before. Not even for a visit. Well, he thought, there's a first time for everything. Reaching the Division Head's door, Jacob gave two firm knocks, wondering if Mr. Hunter was even inside. ooc: I completely forget if these two have met before. I don't think they have... |

With the knock, Iain looked up from his desk, the quill balancing between the forefinger and thumb of his right hand. "Come in." He said, as his hand moved the quill to rest in the ink-pot. There was no point in letting the ink spoil the well penned letter.
It had been a quiet day so far. He hadn't had any conversations with any of his staff members - in fact he hadn't even seen any of his staff members. He thought it was getting ridiculous now. He hadn't seen any of them in weeks. Honestly - where were they?
He sighed, and pushed that matter out of his head as a tall male walked in with a rather large folder in his hand. So, the man wasn't just a messenger... Maybe a Division Head? What was the name of the British Seat's guy? Uhh... Jake? Jack? Hmm. I really need to start making an effort with names... He thought as he gave the stranger as much of a welcoming smile he could... It was a start.

Jacob entered Mr. Hunter's office calmly, shifting the folder to under his left arm and holding out his right hand for a handshake. "I'm Jacob Webster. Division head of British Seats; I don't think we've met before."
Jacob wondered vaguely whether this Ian Hunter was nice or smart or just business-oriented. Not that it mattered - the Division heads were stuck together no matter what their compatibility. And in any case, Jacob prided himself in being friendly to all, even if someone hated his guts. Rudeness would get you no where, all though, Jacob reflected, there was a time and place for everything.
"I'm here just because..." Jacob wondered how to phrase his question. "Well, honestly, I apparently have no employees, and for lack of anyone else to talk to about France, I was wondering how you're Division was doing. Compare notes and whatnot. Besides, it's always nice to get to know your fellow employees." He took a sip from the mug of tea. Blech. It was getting cold.

Abigail walked into the department. Her red heels were clicking on the floor as she walked through the cubicles. She felt nervous and didn't know where to go. She found an empty seat near by and sat down. Maybe I should go to the Division Head's office. she thought to her herself. Abbilee couldn't move and her nerves were getting the best of her already.

Jenkins wandered down the hall, he was completely lost, which was new to him, but he didn't care. Anything that would get him away from his fathers mansion was a good thing.
He saw a lady, probably about his age, standing in front of a door. She looked vaguley familiar, probably a Slytherin classmate. She seemed petrified, like she was scared to go in the door that was in front of her.
"Umm...hello," he said, laughing a little, "Do you know where I can find..." he looked down at his ministry letter, "...someone in charge?"
