"You're the only Vaughn I know, so far," she smirked and looked down at her paper work. What else to do? Most of her work was down and Abilee felt like she needed a break. But not just yet. Right now, she had to head over to her division head's office for a brainstrom meeting. Whatever that was. So Abigail got off her seat and headed that way.

Looking up as Abigail and Jenkins walked into his office after him. "Okay, as you heard Liliana tell us in the meeting, we need to decide which items, products and merchandise will be allowed at the World Cup; and which limitations and quaranties will be placed on which items." He looked at the two members of his staff, and hoped that the others would show up soon. They really did need to get started on this work load.

"Question," said Jenkins, raising his hand, "Whose playing? Stupid question I know...but I stopped following it this year after my favorite team started losing."

"Well, we don't want to makes fans upset, so we can't limit too much," Abigail mentioned. "But exactly are the type of things we're trying to limit?" she asked. They could limit open drinks, who knows what would be in them if they were opened. Way too big banners and signs will cause chaos between people if they can't see the view. Talk about trying to limit things. There probably had to be an etire list of things they could limit and not allow.

Iain smiled. "We don't know who will be in the World Cup yet, the qualifiers are still being held. As such, we need to come up with a list that isn't dependant on which Countries are still at the Live matches." He looked from Jenkins to Abigail and nodded. "It is going to be tough, but we need to start this."

He looked down at the piece of parchment in front of him and wrote "Quidditch World Cup" at the top. "Okay, we need to discuss the items that we will allow to be sold as merchandise; the products that people are not allowed to bring with them; and the items that people can have but need to be restricted." He wrote "Merchandise; Products; Restricted Items" as three sub-headings on the parchment in front of him.

A paper airplane flies into the room and comes to a rest on your desk, unfolding and smoothing out to reveal...

Someone sneaks down the corridor and sticks this to the wall with the following message flashing across it:

Join us as we stand up for Beings and Beasts Rights!Don't give into the injustice. Stand up and walk out for what you believe. Join the hundreds of Wizarding Workers who are opposed the Ministry's prejudice against those who are different! There will be a mass walk out on Saturday at 4 p.m. to show your support for those who have none. Take to the streets of Diagon Alley and stand up for what is right!

There is was again!

If Claudian didn't know better, he'd swear these Beings and Beasts rights flyers were somehow replicating themselves. He looked at it more closely for the first time and felt a sense of inward dread that perhaps his own wife had been behind all of this. She couldn't have.

The large wizard lifted his ridiculously perfectly manicured hand and gave the door to the Division heads office a firm knock. 'How was good old Iain doing these days?'

Iain looked up from his desk as there was a knock on his door and he answered smartly with a, "It's open!", as he signed the dotted line on the last file that needed to be sent to his wife by the following day. His team were suppost to be hard at work, but he hadn't had any interaction with them in a few days so he had just been contemplating the use of owls to get their thoughts on the QWC... there was so much to do and he doubted at this rate that they had enough time to do it all.

However, he let that thought file itself as he smartly looked up at the door as it began to open. When it opened a little further, a relaxed grin spread over his face as he pushed his chair back so that he could stand up to greet the newcomer. "Claudian!" Iain said proudly, as he looked the younger (round) man over. He moved around his desk and held his hand out to shake the man's.

Claudian's round, brown face light up with the warm greeting Iain had given him. He flashed back to simpler times of him recapturing his escaped pet knarl and bringing it into the Slytherin boys dorms for safe keeping and how Iain seemed always there to help him with Transfig, particularly fire spells (which, quite frankly, at first spooked Claudian a little).

"Iain!" He shot back, taking the mans hand and pulling him in for a man-hug. "Long time, mate. How have you been? Hope I'm not interrupting serious Ministry business, am I?".

Returning the one armed hug, Iain sighed and grinned happily. "Never, just finished up some paperwork for the wife." He laughed and winked at Claudian to show him that he still had a decent sense of humor. "The rest of it can wait ten minutes or so. I haven't had a chance to talk to you in .... "

He paused and seemed to be counting in his head how many years it was since he had left Claudian to fend for himself at Hogwarts. "Nine years..." He frowned a little, furrowing his forehead as he tried to figure out where the last (essential) decade of his life had gone. He looked up at the other Slytherin male and let out a long whistle. "I can't believe it has been that long." He said with a chuckle.

'Nine years? Was it...?' Claudian hadn't realized how much time had passed along either. Ah, but they still had their youth.

"Nor can I. Merlin, you left me alone in a snake pit." He was joshing. Sort of. "Hogwarts wasn't the same without you, Iain."

"Your wife? Oh!" 'Of course!' "Liliana? You're married to your own Department Head?" 'Slytherin!'.

Iain laughed as he sat down in his office recliner and motioned for Claudian to take a seat. "Talk about stating the obvious." Iain replied with a grin and a wink in the other man's direction. They were Slytherin's, had he expected to be left with the Gryffindor's? Like that would have happened.

"Of course it wasn't! I was amazing, and I'm sure the wall's missed having so many things it wanted to whisper to anyone willing to listen." He laughed, as he thought back to when he was a Casanova of Slytherin. Not that he wasn't entirely 10,000% happy with Liliana; that thought cause a rather large dopey smile to spread over Iain's lips at the thought of the baby that they had on the way. Nothing like love to make your day brighter.

"I am." He grinned and laughed. "When we met and started dating we were both Division Heads; When the Department Head left, she applied for and got the job. It just so happened that I'd fallen madly in love with her and couldn't have stopped myself from marrying her if I'd tried." He grinned a little, and looked at the moving picture of them kissing just after they had both said "I do" on their wedding day. He had never seen Lili look so stunning.

Claudian had taken a seat by Iain's invite and caught a glimpse of the kissing photo. "They did. Marco Denver had to take over for you, I'm afraid. He did quite well, I might add. He got so far as kissing Professor Blaylock, the schools divination professor and inspiring the wrath of her husband, Professor Erikson. Lit..." he said hitting a momentary high-note. "...His hair on fire." Ah, the madness of Marco Denver.

"Well, you probably couldn't have married a sweeter girl if first impressions are anything to go by." He said, remembering the kindness and professionality of his first meeting with Liliana.

"We ought to go out sometime, the six of us. Liliana, yourself, me and my wife, Marco and one of his girlfriends." He said with a natural smile.

Iain laughed happily as he thought back a decade to the days where he had fun every day and did well in his exams without even trying. He smirked at the thought of Marco giving the walls something to talk about - and heck he knew from the girls in their house that he was something of a hearthrob so he also knew that it was very possible that they always had something or another to talk about .

"No... I really don't think I could have. She is quite a find and rather more than amazing." Iain grinned sweetly and knew that he had hit the jackpot with Liliana. There was no-one like her. Anywhere. He was quite sure of that. No one else would put up with his silly addiction to spoiling his two sisters.

"Well, it might have to wait a while, Lili is due within the next month. Hopefully she won't be too long over due; we arn't sure if the labour is going to be too much for her or not. Especially with the stress about organising the Quidditch World Cup to boot." There was nothing but pride on Iain's face as he talked about the prospects of his first baby's birth.

Claudian sensed Iains pride. It was permeating the air all about them in that office of his. It was so weird, really. To think of someone that you kind of looked up to as an older, more witch-friendly sibling settled and having his first child. "I didn't realize how soon it was. Congratulations, Iain!" He said, not wasting anymore time not commenting on the celebratory situation.

He might've insisted that they could all use a break, but he supposed wisely that that indeed might add to the 'to do' that appeared to be Iain and Lili's lives right now. "It's busy alright, but you've got to admit, it's exciting as well. I mean, World Cup! World Cup!" Truly. It was the stuff of dreams for a player. "Have you got, plans to attend?".

Xavier walked through the doors of his new job. He paused, still placed motionless in the doorway and looked for whom he thought he should report to. He spotted a man laughing and for some reason he knew this was him. He walked up to the man surely and reached for his hand. With a firm grip, and a look directly in his bosses eyes he said "Good afternoon, Mr. Ian Hunter. My name is Xavier Vindictive and I've just been placed into this division. Is there anything you can have me get started on?"

ooc. you can carry on with this plot if you want, or just decide on what it is that you came to, the QWC will be open for awhile before the match so you do not have to go immediately, but I just wanted to thank you all, I know this has been confusing at times.

Putting the last of his things into a cardboard box, Iain looked around the room that had been his office for the last year. He left the box on his desk as he moved to the opposite wall and took down the pictures that he had hung there. The two pictures of his sisters, the picture of his gorgeous baby son, Skye and a picture of his beautiful wife, Lilian.

He took down the four pictures and carefully placed them on top of the box. It looked so strange as an empty room; like an empty shell and a broken home. He sighed, although he was looking forward to working abroad, and having a change of pace he was going to miss being able to see Liliana whenever he wanted too. He was going to miss this place.

He left the box on the desk and moved out into the office. "Excuse me?!" He called out to his staff members. "As many of you may have heard, today is my last day as your Divison Head." He sighed gently and looked at them all one after the other. "I am, in fact, leaving the Ministry altogether. I have been offered a job abroad working but I will pop in every now and then too see you all." He suddenly wondered if they would miss him, but shook his head to get rid of those thoughts. They wouldn't help him leave the Ministry today.

She was just standing there. Leaning against the wall. Watching. She knew that Iain leaving was what was going to be best for him. And that he was really excited about it. And she was as well. But she couldn't help but be a little said as she stood there watching him clear out his office at the end of his final day.

As she watched him put the pictures on the top of the box a tear fell down her cheek. She quickly wiped it away as she didn't want anyone to see. Things were changing pretty quickly, and she was not sure she was going to be able to keep up with everything. She'd done a lot in the last year or two. She'd become a department head, and then gotten married to the man of her dreams. And seven months ago, they'd been blessed with their little baby boy. And something else was coming, she could just feel it. She smiled as she thought about that. Sure Iain would not be here every day, but it wasn't like he wouldn't be at home waiting for her when she finally got home from the ministry every night. Yes, she would just have to look forward to coming home to him.

She wiped a final tear away of her cheek and straightened her pose and walked over to her husband. She placed her hand comfortingly on his back and just stood there in silence knowing that that was what he needed right now.

As he picked up the box she said, "Wait, I have something for you." She took out her wand and performed a non verbal spell and waited. Finally the package that had been hidden in her office since not that long after she knew Iain was going to leave zoomed into the office. "This is for you," she said, handing it to him after she had caught it. He'd find that when he unwrapped it that it was a blown up picture of himself, Iridesca, Jacob and herself at the Quidditch World Cup. She was pretty sure he would like it, and she hadn't known what to do with the picture until now.

Herod walked into the office and looked around. He saw the deparment head and quickly said, "Oh, Hello. My name is Herod and I am applying for the Division Head Position. I just wanted to come down, take a look, and maybe meet the department hea...... I mean, you!" he said with a smile. He put his hand out to shake.

"Oh, hello," Lili said, slightly shocked. She had been off in her own little world and hadn't noticed anyone come in after Iain had left.

She shook his hand and then said, "yes, that me. But you can't do that here, you have to go down to the employment office on level 8 and fill out the application there," she explained to the young man. "Better hurry though, you wouldn't want to miss the deadline," she said with an encouraging smile.

"Ok, I'll do tha......" it then Struck him that he loved his job. If he could be both a patent officer and the division head, then he would. but he can so... "on second thought. Thank you for the oppurtunity, but i do love my job currently. I hope to do more work with your department later. Good day." he said, turning to leave, embarassed at his revelation in current company.

As Iain said his goodbye's to those who worked in his division, he was grateful for his wife's support. He knew that it would be strange for a while, not having her near but this was a once in a lifetime opportunity that he couldn't give up; and he knew that she was happy for him.

When she mentioned that she had something for him, he turned to look at her and blinked. "Something. . . For me?" He asked her as he waited while something came to them with a swwift command from Lili. As he waited, he threaded an arm around her waist and kissed her forehead softly. He seriously hoped that they found someone good to be the next Division Head. They deserved it.

When she handed him the parcel, he looked at her, with a questioning glance but removed his second hand from around her waist so that he could open it. He gasped when he looked at the picture of Lili and her three Division Head's waving. It was from the Quidditch Cup, he remembered well because it was just after Liliana had given birth to Skye.

"It's gorgeous baby." He kissed her forehead again and placed it carefully beside the other pictures at the top of his box. With a deep breath, he picked up the heavy box and looked around his office once more. With a shaky breath, he moved into the main office and smiled at his employee's for the last time.

"I hope you all work well for the new Division Head when they are appointed." After a few seconds, he moved on so that he wouldn't get too welled up around those he had worked with for the last two/three years.
