"One of the few times my sister would've been useful. Oh well, good job, will you be needing help?" I ask as I look over.

"I just hope someone finds him before the next full moon on the 18th."
Star said. "By the way, my granddaughter finally left for Hogwarts. I cannot wait for her first owl to arrive."

Typing another email to Jacques, Liz turns, and says "I heard they are doing something new this year. But I didn't hear the full details yet... Tell me a little bit about your grand daughter! I was sad to see I didn't get to meet her, too bad I was off at lunch..."

"Oh, and Joe just sent this owl, he was hoping that I could find out if Jacques could get the report on Hermann Kern's escape."

"Jeni is the only child of my adopted son, Christopher and his wife Shaylene. She was born on my birthday and shares my middle name. She was really excited when she recieved her wand and found out that my wand and hers had the same core, Phoenix Feather. She and I have always been real close. I was only 25 when I adopted Christopher, he was 12. He was one of my students in the muggle school where I worked. He had been placed in a muggle orphanage after his whole family had been murdered. I noticed him doing magic and petitioned the courts to adopt him. Chris and I have always been real close. He had refused to attend Hogwarts because it was to far away so I found a school of witchcraft in Salem, Massachusetts. He stayed at the school during the week and would come home every weekend. Jeni has been wanting to go to Hogwarts since she was 5. Her mother is mad at me because she thinks I talked Jeni into Hogwarts. I am really glad to have her close by me."

"What a sweet story! I can't imagine not having a family. It must have been really hard for Christopher. I can see why Shaylene would be upset, but in my opinion it should be the child's choice where they wish to go for school. It may be hard, but there are always holidays and summer break..."

A blip on the computer says an email just came! "It's from Jacques, Star. Come see what he says!"

Walking into the office, she finds Joseph, and hands him the report from her brother Jacques.

"He said he would try to get up here in the next few days, to meet with you and those on the case. He also said he would let us know, if any more information comes in..."

"That looks very promising. Maybe he will be in custody soon."

Joseph took the report and looked it over, "Thank you Liz, I think this will help. With this, I think we should send a team to the mountains." He looked up at Xire and Liz. "Maybe, we could combine our team with the France team, that would build it. We should talk to the Head first though." he said with a smile. Finally, the case was coming out.

The woman that walked through the door didn't look like the rough and tumble type that one would assume worked with werewolves, let alone actually BE one. But the truth of the matter was that Marti Carter was a werewolf, she worked with the Werewolf Support Services...had for five years. She knew she'd be as much use in any other department...but had never bothered transfering.

"Hello everyone." Marti the people that littered the room. She had a small stack of files beneath one arm, but didn't move to hand them over. "I've a few updates on the matter of Mr. Kern...actually I was hoping I could get your help with something." She beagan, and stopped walking a few paces away from the pare.

Allison read the report over Joseph’s shoulder, muttering incoherently. “Yes of course,” Was the little, understandable, piece. When the woman walked in, apparently having information on the case, she put on the best smile she could manage. “We’ll try to be as much help as possible.”

"Well to start off I should explain that I know Hermann Kern on a more personal level." Marti began evenly. "I've a few hunches where he is...but have refrained from speaking up for the last few weeks. I assumed it wouldn't be too difficult to find him." She continued to explain. "However, recently one of my coworkers has gone missing...so, it's probably about time I give it a try, even if I'd really rather not." Marti told the two.

"I think I'll be able to get Mr. Kern to come in by himself, but if the whole unit is behind me with their wands drawn he'll not be willing. I'd like to try and make him see reason...and just need a guarantee that your division won't be running after him, or me." That summed it up…right? Oh well, they could always ask questions.

"I sure hope so!" Liz prints off the report. "I'm going to go and give this to Joseph, I'll be back shortly," Liz says as she picks up the report she just printed, and heads out of the office.

"I think that might be a good way to start." (Marti)

"If we can at least get him in here, or in the least the French Ministry. We here are just wanting to get in contact with him, but he's wanted in France, for Kidnapping children."

"That may put him on his guard, with that knowledge alone, however..."

Joseph looked at the woman that walked in, he stood up and said, "We won't hurt him if he comes in willingly, we just want to get a case, and help him if he needs it. We would really appreciate your help though." He smiled at her. He was excited about it now.

As Star sits at her desk typing on her laptop an Owl comes flying in and drops a letter on her desk. She picks upthe letter and sees that it is from her granddaughter Jenesis.

Dear Gramma,

Well as you know by now, I am not at Hogwarts, but at Belle's School of Magic for Young Witches. How I ended up here I do not know. I hate it here. My kitten is not aloud to leave my dorm room, she's not even aloud in the common room. The Gryffindor Table is full of splinters and we must carry a cushion with us too meals or we get splinter butt. We are also not allowed knives. And are table is the smallest and most crouded. The Slytherins have the best stuff and the ravenclaws are next. we are the worst. The other students in the other houses help us when they can. All the houses are good to each other. And there are no boys at all. They were sent to Cooper's School for young Wizzards. What happened to Hogwarts? We are trying hard to stay out of trouble but it's really hard. All houses are in the negative in school points. We have the least negative points. We are also not allowed to write to any one unless the are our parents or guardian. Dad made you my guardian, didn't he? I thought that he did so that I could live with you during school breaks

I have made a bunch of friends and I am having the best time that I can. We all would be having a better time if were at Hogwarts. Some of my friends are Sabrina Dumbledore, Heidi Sparks, Allie Johnson, Aly Weasley and Usa Ginno. They are all first years like me except for Aly is a second year. Aly's aunt wooks at the ministry like you. I don't know here aunts name, I'll try and remember to ask again.

Please write me soon and tell me what happened to Hogwarts. I love you Gramma. I can't wait for Yule to get here so that I can come home.

"Ohhhh, that makes me soo mad. I need to owl her father and tell him what is happening." She leaves a note on Liz's desk.

There is a letter on my desk from my Granddaughter, Jeni. Read it and let me know what you think of it. I am off home so that I can Floo Call my son and see if he was told about this school change.

Star grabbed her bag as she left for home.

Star entered her office. Her son had not been happy last night when she floo called him about Jeni. She had just left the Department of Magical Education Head's Office and talked to a Ms. Rose. Star hated feeling disloyal to the Minister, but he should not have messed with her children.

Star noticed Jeni's letter still on her desk where she left it. "Liz must still be with the Capture Unit, looking for Mr. Kern." she said outloud to herself. "I am not feeling good right now. I am worried about my Son, who is upset about the ministry messing at his daughter, Jeni's school. I am worried about Jeni. We have a rogue werewolf running loose. What else can go wrong now."

Star sat down at her desk and turned on her computer. "Please Goddess, give me the strength to help them all!"

"I need to get back to the office, but please keep me informed, Joseph. I will send an owl, note or come myself, if anything else turns up in France." says Liz.

"Walking back into the office, Liz falls into her chair. A day of a million years," she says outloud.

Seeing the note on her desk, Liz starts to read the letter. Looking up she sees Star, "Oh, my goodness!", immediately she starts writing a letter to Jacques, "I hope that Lizzie had enough sense to send a letter to her papa," she exclaims!"

After finishing the letter, Liz calls to the owl that is sitting on its perch in the corner. "Take this to Jacques Merelda, in Paris, France. Thank you," Liz says after giving her a treat.

Star looked up to see that Liz had returned.

"So, what do you think about this problem with our Hogwarts students. I went to the Department of Magical Education this morning and talked to a Ms. Rose. Ooooo, I was so mad. The Ministry has sent our children to a different school and did not see fit to contact the parents or guardians." Star was shaking she was so mad. "In the muggle world this is called kidnapping and someone would go to jail for this."

Star just wanted to shake the Minister to make him see his wrong doings.

"Christopher is so mad. He wants to come and get Jeni and take her home. I have calmed him for now, but he says that if the Minister doesn't explain himself soon, he will be here."

"Oh by the way, did they catch Mr Kern, yet?"

"mmmm, oh Mr. Kern, no we haven't caught him yet. We have a woman that is familiar with him, who is going to try to bring him in. I personally think it's kind of suspicious that this woman just showed up, saying she wants to help. But Joseph, seems excited, so we'll see what happens.", Liz says with a yawn.

"Sorry I'm just so mixed up about this Hogwarts business and with Hermann Kern..."

"I don't know what to think. Everyone here seems to think, it is normal, but I don't think so. Why would they try to hide 2 different schools, that are male/female segregated from the parents..."

Just then a Owl from Jenesis' school flew in and dropped a letter on Star's desk. Star placed a bowl of water down at the Owl drank from it before flying away.

"I got a letter from my Jeni." she said to Liz her office mate.

Dear Gramma
I am doing alot better now. Things aren't as bad as me and my friends thought. We are now having a lot of fun and getting house points for Gryffindor. I got 9 points just for doing my Divination homework. I have a lot of new friends. My friend Aly got sick yesterday and we had to take her to the school nurse but she is OK now.I had lost my homework when we took Aly to the nurse but my newest friend Astrid found it for me and so I was able to turn it in. I have alot of friends now and love being here. I do miss you and can't wait til Yule gets here so I can come home and see you.

"Oooo, I am so happy that Jeni is doing better. I was so worried about her. I hope she wrote to her parents and told them to." Star said as she handed the letter to liz to read. "And she got house points for her homework. I am so proud of her. Maybe the students will be OK this year."

"I will write Jeni back when I get home tonight." she stated as she turned back to her computer and started typing in her files "I feel so much better now."




A second owl came in and dropped off another letter. It was from Jeni. "Oh no!" Star said outloud.

Joseph nodded to Liz, "Alright, I'll keep you posted." He smiled at her as she left, and sat down.

"What happened!" Liz says with a start!

"Well it seems that Jeni is having a rough time at her school. She says that she has had episodes of accidental magic. She wants me to tell her dad that she wants to go home." Star sighed. "I really want her to stay at school. At least there she can get help controlling her power and moods which seem to control her power. Her Mother's idea of helping Jenesis through a 'episode' consists of dosing her with a calming draught. That does not help it to my thinking. All it has done is made Jeni afraid of her magic. Her father and I believe that as she learns to control her magic, she will most likely be able to do magic without a wand. That was the real reason for sending her to Hogwarts instead of the American school that her father went to."

We should introduce Jeni to my niece. Lizzie used to have very serious problems before she started at Hogwarts last term. No matter how calm she was, she still had spurts that would just happen. Things she couldn't control. After starting at Hogwarts, she has them on occasion, but has learned how to stop them. When she has one coming on, she knows what she needs to do, now. It usually works too...
