Maine stopped drumming on the desk and jolted as the weasel stopped in font of her. The weasel was Holli's patronus, Maine could recognize it. Sending her own patronus back, she turned to the person there.

"Don't bother, I've found her." she smiled hurriedly before twisting on her ankle and disappearing into thin air.

Inez was a tad suprised with how quite the office had been lately, her employees must be out at work leaving the office practically empty for so long today. It was sort of nice though.

Because of the break, the department head was able to finally clean up the clutter in her ofice, removing all the old magazines from her desk and throwing away the bags of potato crisps into the trash. She couldn't imagine throwing away the 3 months worth of Witch Weekly so the woman walked out into the level's waiting area and layed the old issues on the coffee table.

While she was here she might as well take a little break and sit on one of the nice, comfy couches.

just finished the work for the day and was sitting down reading a magazine.

Lazar walked into the waiting area and signed the visitor sign-up. He had a bit of dirt on his hands from working and he was holding a portkey.

Gerti looked up from her magazine to see a man from the enviroment department stroll in with a portkey. Ah, tat was her division! The half-goblin stood up and approached the man with a smile. "Good morning sir! And how can we help you today?"

Jade rushed into the department of transportation. She could not believe that she had forgotten to see about getting a more permanent apparition license after her last one had expired.

Level six...Kurumi couldn't remember if she had toured this part of the Ministry as a student in her third - or had it been fourth? - year. Things were so different now. For one, she wasn't a student anymore. Another was that her godfather, Kaishu, was no longer working for the Environmental Department. Another was...well, she probably should stop listing things that were different and focus on attaining her license.

Stepping up to the desk, Kurumi filled out a visitor form with her name and reason for being here today - to apply for an apparition licence. Or, well, apply to take the exam and hopefully pass it and then gain the licence. She really wished that classes had been offered at Hogwarts while she had been a student, but things just hadn't worked out that way. "Would have been nice to take lessons with everyone," she sighed to herself as she put the quill down and glanced around the waiting area for someone from the department.

Maybe she should sit down and wait?

Working in the office just bores the hell out of Stephen. You know, it's like those days where everyone just doing something on their own and everyone is really quiet about it and then you just get bored because most of the things you do is paper work and reading the paper work... Yeah, that's how Stephen is feeling right now. So for him to have something to do that requires shifting from one place to another, he walked around the office area until he managed to walk to the waiting area.

Stop...

He looked at the place and saw that someone was there... a lady and someone young. Looking at the young one Stephen assumed that she's here for an apparition exam?--- probably. "Good day" Stephen walked towards the desk and smiled at the lady, taking her paper and read the details. "Getting a new one" he said as he looked at her. Then he glanced over to the paper of the girl. "Applying for an apparition license" he read.

Well both of them are not handling this sort of stuff but he knows the people in charge for the apparition license so he looked at the two of them "Miss Gemstone and miss Hollingberry..." taking both their forms "Please take a seat first. Make yourselves comfortable." he better bring this to the people in charge. "I will be back in a few"

"G-Good day, sir," Kurumi replied. Bowing somewhat awkwardly when the man greeted her, Kurumi ventured a glance towards the woman who had been waiting as well and blushed that she hadn't noticed her until now. Must have been her nerves. Maybe she was more nervous than she thought. She had felt perfectly confident over breakfast and wasn't even phased by Lewis slightly burning the pancakes. Now, well, now that she had actually been addressed by someone from the department...she was starting to feel like there were thousands of butterflies in her stomach.

Nodding, the former Gryffindor made her way towards one of the comfy looking chairs and took a seat before reaching out for one of the Daily Prophets on the table. Board of Governors election? ....and ALL the candidates are at Hogwarts? Merlin it must be chaos there now!

Did she just bow..... to him???? How odd was that. Stephen's eyes blinked a couple more times until he realized that he has been staring at the young lady in front of him. No one has ever bowed to Stephen as a form of greeting, well to royalties the greetings was just like that. Odd.

Having to exit for awhile, Stephen went to the people in-charge for the apparition licensing area. And a after awhile he was given an order to let the 2 examiners in... but of course, one at a time.

Stephen came back, in his hands are their information. "We'll start with Miss Hollingberry" he called out the student's name. Hers was quite a longer process than the other one. So, yeah. They'll start with the new one. "Please proceed towards the exam testing center for your written examination." Stephen nodded with a smile.

Breathe Kurumi, just breathe. This really wasn't as big a deal as she was making it out to be, but it may have been the setting that was causing her to panic a little. She wasn't at Hogwarts, nor was she at university. She was at the Ministry of Magic and that just made everything seem SO much more serious and scary and tense and every other adjective that could be applicable to this situation.

Posture becoming a bit more rigid when the man returned, Kurumi nodded and stood up. Testing Center, right. She had seen that on the map of the Ministry, so she was pretty sure she knew how to get there. "Thank you, sir," she said with a nervous smile before she made her way out of the waiting area.

Just.Breathe.

Good thing Kurumi didn't accidentally brush her hand against the unused portkey sitting on a nearby end table. If you accidentally make contact with the old wash cloth on the table, you'll end up WAYYYYY far away from the office!! Hope you remember how to get back!

Jade nodded at the man, "I'm actually reapplying. My license is a South African issued one which has been fine up until now. Now I need the British one."

She smiled at the young girl, Miss Hollingberry, who couldn't have been out of Hogwarts long.

Since they had taken Miss Hollingberry first, Jade sat down to wait.

Reapplying, Stephen looked at the woman and then looked at her paper that was in his hand. Yup. He must have just understood it wrong... or .... yeah, nevermind. Stephen saw her sat down as he exited with the young lady to tell the people in-charge of the apparition licensing that their are applicants for today. Good thing their is just two of them, no hassle at least.

Walking back to the waiting area "Miss Gemstone" he called out her name as well. "You also need to proceed to the exam testing center for your written examination." Same procedure since she needs a British license for this. British test then.

Jade smiled at him and thanked him before heading to the exam testing center.

Flying along the corridor the carpet took off down the next set of steps with it's passengers aboard it. It had to get away from the people and all their spells!

Gabriela had just come back from her lunch break, snacking on the last bits of the bagel she'd had. MMMMM bagels. They were perfect for any meal!

As she entered the office, however, something caught her eye...something that shouldn't have belong there--was that a rogue flying carpet?? Oh no! Red alert, red alert! Umm, her people could handle this right? This was a transportation matter, yes? EEP! SHE HAD NOT BEEN TRAINED FOR THIS!

"Oi! Stop!" she yelled, hoping she was loud enough to get the attention of her employees in the next room.

Stephen was doing last minute arrangement on the paper works when out of nowhere, he heard something in the waiting area. It was more of someone shouting-- the person's voice was raised for people to hear-- at someone. Of course, Stephen stood up and walked to where the commotion was.

He found Gabriela and a flying carpet???? Whaaaaat??? Stephen cocked an eyebrow as he looked confused at the thing in their office right now. "what in bloody hell is it doing in here?" he asked Gabriela, obviously they both don't know the answer to that but hey, she probably knows something.

Going back... Stephen took out his wand, in case the flying carpet does anything. "is this some sort of ministry thing?

Katrina was walking out to the waiting area for a little break, her hands up in her hair in the process of tying it in a ponytail. She should've taken the little shout she had heard as an indication that something was wrong but she was too wrapped up trying to tie her hair up. It was only when she reached the waiting area did she notice something was very wrong. Trying to tie her hair was something she could do later. The blonde immediately reached for her wand, fumbling around for it.

"What is going on?!" Katrina asked. Her stomach felt all funny as she looked at the carpet. What was this nonsense? Could she get a cup of coffee before they did whatever with the carpet? Or would it be like her hectic first day with the figurines.

Oh, she sincerely hoped that it would not attack them. What would she do if it did?! She was not prepared for this. Hogwarts hadn't prepared her for this and neither did years of working in the Ministry of Magic.

Errr someone was yelling.

.... no not just someone. Its his lady Boss from this job. He got up from his cubicle and poked his head out the doorway, half expecting to see the woman reprimanding someone for sneaking in late on the job--

-- instead Vickers found himself catching the waving form of something that isnt usually seen around these parts of the Magical world.

"A flying carpet?" he mumbled. He neared the rest of his co-workers looking at it "Heyyyy does that thing have legal documentation to be flying around here?"

Jayden popped out of his desk when he heard the commotion. He hurried in the direction of the yelling.

What the--? Why was there a carpet here? Those were outlawed.

And... it looked like it had passengers. What was going on?

He shot a questioning look at his new boss before whipping out his wand. Should... he try and stop it...? Or... what?

Kyleigh was in her office looking at schematics for a new broom design when she heard the noises from the waiting area. She just furrowed her eyebrows and walked out into the waiting area. When she stepped out there she had to quickly jump to the side as a carpet whizzed past her.

She stood there teetering on the edge of falling over.

“Oh merlin what is going on?” She asked as she swayed slightly. As soon as she gathered herself and walked over to where the group was standing. “How are we going to stop this?” She asked nervously.

Vickers eyed the carpet and turned to his co-workers, shaking his head "What was that thing even doing here? And it had passengers." There were a hundred different things that popped in his head that flew against laws and policies set by their department. He turned to his Department Head and asked "Ma'am was that fly-by sanctioned?" because it would be a whole lot less to worry about if it turned out to be legit.

OOC: I'm reading this as the carpet entered the level through the stairs and is still here. It never said it left the level. SO until this gets cleared up, stay here

Gabi was super glad her staff had come back and backed her up, and she ducked as the carpet swirled around her. Not her hair! Her perfect hair!

She looked up at Vickers, the new boy she'd hired, and shook her head. "Most certainly not. I've never authorized any carpets to actually be activated in the Ministry!" she exclaimed. Why would she? They didn't need carpets to get around.

"Someone stun it, CAREFULLY!" she ordered. No need to hit the department head (or anyone else) with a stunner!

After zooming around the waiting area a few times with the two people on its back the carpet flew down the steps towards level 9.

Gabi watched as the carpet flew towards the steps and then headed to the upper levels. She took a deep breath and stood to her feet, brushing off her dress pants and making sure her heels were on properly before looking at her employees. She cleared her throat, straightened out her hair once more and pointed to the staircase.

"Well, this is our department people, let's get a move on!" she called. "Head on up, I'll get the rest of the employees," she said to Vickers and the few other employees who were in the room. She headed to the employee work areas, hoping the others were capable of heading up there WITHOUT her.
