Chris hugged Melinda back he sort of laughed at the height difference. "Don't worry I'm pretty sure I'm done growing." He told Mel as he felt her kiss his cheek. He smiled, a wide smile as he kissed her cheek back.

Oh no...What was he supposed to tell her. Yes I'm fine cause I told Lena I liked her and she's fine with us. Or have a lie between them. "I've been alright." He told her as he pulled back from the hug. Ok so he didn't tell her the whole truth but he didn't lie... "How about you?" He asked as he held her hand.

Ok. It wasn't the most honest answer to be given to Melinda. Chris should have known that even if she was never going to read his thoughts, he could also feel tension, sort of lies by just touching them. Sort of like Karma, but dude...she was a genius on those matters. Melinda wasn't going to make this a drama scene, so she just let go of the feeling and shrugged, getting hold of Chris and embracing him with just one arm, "Well...I'm alright. I was pretty busy busy this semester. It is said the first three are like hell in there...but everyone can cope with them..." She told him, suggesting a walk around the woods with her hand, just while they went back inside.

"So..." She was a bit of curious. There had been no time to write to neither of her friends at Hogwarts for the whole time. "...how's Hogwarts? Anything new to talk about?"

Chris felt Melinda embrace him with one arm. Gulp. He couldn't take it anymore why should he lie to her anyways? She wouldn't get mad at him hopefully. He sighed. "Umm well Melinda I haven't been completely honest. But before you freak or anything just listen I have an explaintion." He warned her. "Ok so I...um...well I guess you could say I have a small...very tiny crush on a girl. To be more specific Helena Crawley. But wait I told her and I said I still love you and she said that it was alright. And I pretty much doubt that anything more then a friendship with happen." He said all of this very softly. "I also talked to Karma about this and she said that I love you which is 100% correct and that I was distracted with Lena. That she was just the girl in front of me and it was you who I really wanted to be with which is true again. So what I'm saying is please don't be mad." He said begging Melinda not to be mad. He knew she would be jealous and he understood that but he would feel so bad if she was mad at him.

"Umm yeah I bet you have. But I'm sure you will be able to make it through." He told Melinda and smiled slightly. He then put his arm around her and started to walk.

"Well there has been floods in the dungeons making the Slytherins have to be in our Common Room. Which is weird I don't think they know where the water is coming from yet." Chris told her.

Melinda heard, nice and clear it was. Well, at least he talked to the girl at once about his feelings, and talked to Karma as well? Whoa...that was something she needed to talk with her bestie sometime. Maybe just after she leaves the Kaplans, she shall drop by the Atkins and do a whole questionary about it. "Hey, it's alright. I wasn't expecting you to be like completely closed in heart after I left. You have your right and I shall accept that you now like her..." Melinda wasn't going to mention Crawley. Not this time..."And I love you too..." She stopped, like this close to give him a kiss on his lips, but one little tingle in her hand just stopped her. Agh...what the hell was happening?


The floods. "My theory...might be the pipes. You know, everything is like way too down in there. Have people gotten sick from the water coming out of the floods by any chance?" She asked, worried. Then he mentioned the Slytherins moving into the Gryffindor's Common Room. That meant Lena was around. "Oh...shall I worry, 'cause the epic and long fight you guys have with them?" She joked.

What did she just say she was alright with this??? Ok so it was sort of a shock when Lena said it was fine. But this was a complete suprise. All Chris could do was smile wide to Melinda. "Thank you so much. It makes everything a lot easier." He told her. Pshhh what was Chris afraid of? Girls weren't that hard tell them the truth and they are alright. He then noticed Melinda coming closer to him, like she was going to kiss him. But then suddenly stopped. What was that about? "Hey you alright?" He said taking her hand a caressed it with his thumb.

"Yeah I guess that would make sence. And umm yeah I think people were getting sick. Only at first but not now I don't think." Chris told her. "Ahh I would if I were you it's like a war zone in there." He told her and laughed. "Na actaully everything is fine so far. I don't think there has been a fight yet."

"I know what you might be thinking...that I was going to turn all nuts and tell you to not see her anymore. But that wouldn't be fair...we are way too apart." Melinda said, looking away giving a sad look, nostalgic feeling around her heart and mind. "And us girls...are not that complicated. You found the right words, actually...to tell me this and I thank you for being honest with me, Kaplan." She said, smiling to him.

The tingle. She had to remember the dream she had the night of that strange accident, when she bled from her hand for hours...And she did. It was a warning. Oh, boy...that was stupid. It was just...wrong to think about it. "Umm...I've just felt like...something with my hand is wrong. Maybe it's some food allergy I'm developing at school. Don't worry." She was trying to do the same as well. She gave Chris a cheering smile and continued to walk along with him.

Melinda giggled. "Well, I'm glad that people are not getting sick anymore. Though it really worries me, like what will happen...the next floor is the kitchen, great hall...students..." Ok. Yes, things were getting a little out of hand in there. "What else is new in that school?" She asked.

"Well to tell you the truth I did." Chris told Melinda. But watched as she gave a sad face. "I know we are far apart. But at least we get to see each other right?" He said trying to cheer her up a little. He then gave her a kiss on the cheek. "I love you." He said into her ear softly. "Well good thing I told you then cause I actaully wasn't going to. And you are more then welcome Black." He said smiling back.

Chris looked at Melinda then back at her hand. "Wait. Is it the same hand you hurt a couple of years ago. The one where there was all that blood and Jamie help stop the bleeding and I was trying not to pass out?" He asked her. Then she said not to worried. "I can't promise I won't." He said.

"Yeah I know but I don't think it will go has far as the Gyffindor Common Room. I mean if it does then it will really be out of control." He commented. "Umm nothing else really." He said trying to think if there was something else.

What did she ever do to deserve an amazing guy like that? One of those boys that would do anything to just hypnotize her in a matter of seconds? Well, she didn't know. Though, she loved it, she loved him maybe as much or more than he loved her. "I love you too..." She whispered back, trying to not let out a tear from her eye. "See...these are the things that keep us together, being honest and understanding..." He said, sort of sarcastic, referring to her past holdings from the truth...

Mel nodded, "Yes, the same wound. But don't worry, really." She said, stopped from walking and faced Chris, taking both his hands and pleading him with a look to not feel that way. "Please, these things are...just out of my knowledge. I shall ask Jade about it. Maybe she will give me a natural Muggle reason, like allergies or something else..." She tried to smile, but it was barely impossible to not worry. It was happening again.

"So, apart from girl confussions and flooded common rooms, how are classes, your grades going?" She asked him.

Chris smiled wide toward Melinda. "Yeah I guess so." He said. Ok so Mel hadn't always been honest with him, but he had to say she was now and that's all that matters right? "I have to ask though, why that sacasm. Isn't that true?" He asked raising an eyebrow.

Chris felt Mel take his hands and face him. But how couldn't he worry something was wrong and she didn't even know what. Although he could always try."Ok ok I guess I try not to worry. Maybe but I only worry because I care so much about you." He told her and smiled. "But maybe we should head in soon you are freezing." He said.

"Class are fine. Actaully in Muggle Studies we learn how to dance the jitterbug that was actaully kind of fun." Chris said. "And we cooked once. So yeah you should have been there."

"I kind of use sarcasm a lot, don't push it to the top...really. It's true, we were always getting into an argument once I told you some hidden truths...and now, here we are being honest and having the days of our lives."She shook her head. Melinda had been so unfair to Chris.

"Yes, trying is always the first step. And Yes...let's go back inside. I could smell those delicious cookies your mom is making and it's so mouth-watering..." She told her, letting out a giggle as she gestured catching some drool.

"Oh, man!!" Melinda was so jealous now. "You had the bessssssst half year ever...then, in my opinion. I wish I could have been there..." She was flailing, she was a lot jealous.

Ok yeah this was true that they would fight when Melinda told him something new from her past. "So yeah you use to lie to me...a lot. But you're not anymore and that's what matters now. All that other stuff is gone." Chris told her. "Hey come on don't shake your head it's ok really." He said.

Chris laughed. "Yeah I know her cookies are like the best. Especially during the holidays." He said smiling.

There was no way he wasn't going to laugh at the way Melinda reacted. "The best half year ummm I wouldn't think so. But if you want to." He said still chuckling. "Well you can't come to Hogwarts anymore cause your to old." He said teasing her.

"Let all that go into what it is, the past...That's what Jade always tells me." Melinda quoted, smiling to Chris. "Thanks...for being always there for me..." She said, continuing to walk along the path back inside the house.

"Then, I can't wait..." She said, smiling and fastening her speed of walking.

Melinda gave a playful glare at Chris. "Hey...I might be old and I say I miss Hogwarts. But there is no way I could go back there...even though I wish it with the last breath of me..." She said, though letting go of that feeling in a second. It was useless to think she would go back.

Chris nodded. "Yeah alright." He said smiling back to Melinda. "Anytime." He said walking next to her as he slipped his hand it to hers. He was still smiling towards her.

He then chuckled as she quickened her speed. It didn't take long for him to then cath back up with her to the point where he was next to her again.

"It's not nice to glare at people Melinda/" He told her. "I know you wish you could but it's not like we can stay there forever. What kind of life would that be? Never seeing the world living in new places. Don't get me wrong I love Hogwarts. But that would kind of suck. At least that's my opinion." He said.

Melinda smiled back, though she was running now towards the house. "You know...even if I have the worst sports condition around this place, I think I can win..." She joked, and reached the edge of the unfilled pool. Yeah, she missed summer, sorta. But it was time to enjoy some family moments. She smiled and waited for Chris to get there, and so he did in seconds.

"Glaring...is my game. See it as playful, yet challenging." She commented and smiled. "I would. I'd love to teach if it was possible. And stay at Hogwarts...but being around too many people was not meant for me. That place is just too high up in my standards..." She said.

Chris watched as Melinda started to run. "Oh do ya?" He asked. He then started to jog but soon he saw that she was at the pool so he ran over to her. "No fair Black! But I guess you did win." He said smiling towards her. He then leaned in a little and kissed her on the lips.

"Yeah well I still don't like it." Chris said being stubborn. "I guess I would love to stay at Hogwarts. But I could not teach at all. I've tried teaching people guitar that always ends up great." He said sarcasticly.

Melinda smiled to Chris, giving a glory look, "Yes...looks like..." The kiss stopped her from talking, and she kissed back. Sweet taste, something she missed. Maybe they stayed there for a minute or so, and that's when she stopped and switched to rest her head on his chest.

"Guitar lessons...maybe sometime you can be a teacher, on either side, Magic or Muggle world. Maybe a rock star..." She told him with a grin.

Chris stopped when Melinda stopped. He noticed she rested her head on his chest. He smiled and put his arms around her as he rest his cheek on the top of her head.

Chris then raised an eyebrow."Maybe I guess. I'd rather be a 'Rock star' or as I like to call it a musician." He said and laughed. "But either way that's what I want to do. But who really knows if I could ever make it big like that." He said.

"I miss you way too much. I know I've said this like a thousand times..." She said, chuckling. "Let's go back inside..." Mel suggested, letting go of Chris but holding his hand. "And I know you will someday make a great appearance in front of both worlds...just wait..." A wink came after that comment, then a wide smile.

She opened the back door, then walked towards the kitchen still holding his hand. "We're back..." She said, smiling.

Chris chuckled slightly. "Yeah you have but it's alright I love to hear it. And I miss you too." He told her smiled. "Yeah ok." He said and held her hand. "Yeah I guess it could happen." He said and shrugged. But then saw that wide smile it pretty much just made him melt. He smiled big just as wide.

"Hey you two." Emily said smiling. "Gosh you guys look cool. Maybe you should go warm up a bit in the living room next to the fire." She suggested. "And here take these Chris." She said handing him a plate of cookies.

"Thanks mum." He said letting go of Melinda's hand to take the plate. He then went over to his mum and gave her a kiss on the cheek. He turned back to Mel. "Want to head into the living room?" He asked.

As they stayed inside the kitchen, Melinda felt the delicious mouth watering flavours of Christmas. Those were cookies, homemade cookies!! Whee, she felt like a child being pampered by her parents at that time. She smiled wide as Chris just took the plate of cookies, went to kiss his mum and then asking her to go to towards the living room. "Thanks, Mrs. Kaplan..." She said to her giving her a wide and sweet grin of gratitude.

"Sure..." Melinda agreed and started to walk back into the living room, yet stopping to wait for Chris at the kitchen door.

Chris walked over to the door where Melinda was. "Thanks again mum." He said.

"Your welcome." Emily said to the two of them as they walked out of the kitchen.

"Umm so I bet Nick and my dad are probably in here." He said as he walked into the living room. And they were. "Hey dad and Nick." He said as he sat down the plate of the table near the couch as he sat down waiting to for Mel to sit next to him.

"Hey Chris." Nick said as he went grabbed a cookie off the plate. He then climbed up and sat on Chris's lap.

Chris watched his brother sit on his lap. "Comfortable?" He asked chuckling.

As soon as Melinda stepped into the living room, she could feel the warmth of the fireplace. "I call that forest beautiful, but Bulgaria is so cold..." She commented, shivering at the thought of being outside at that moment. Mel went to sit next to Chris, giggling when she saw how Nick just climbed onto his lap. "You know...he is really comfortable..." She told him, and smiling to both the boys.

"Hey I warned you that it gets cold here." Chris told Melinda. "But you wanted me to come kidnap you anyways. Which I didn't ever really got to do." He said smiling. "Do I? Well I guess I must have a comfortable lap to sit on." Chris said and laughed.

"I think I'm going to go see if your mum needs help." Charlie said as he got up. But as he walked past Chris he took his hat off and throw it between him and Melinda on the couch. "No hats in the house." He said teasing his son. "And I don't understand why you wear these things in the winter they do no good for you now." He commented and chuckled as he walked out of the room into the kitchen.

Nick smiled up to Chris. "Melinda's right I'm very comfortable." He said and laughed.

"Kidnap? You know, it's a great idea...Grandma would give up on me...like that easy..." Melinda told Chris, sarcastically with a snap of her fingers. Though, both knew it would be impossible. Mirelda was way too...bossy and controlling.

She laughed when Charlie took Chris's hat off. "Yes, Chris listen to your dad..." Mel joked and took the hat and threw it somewhere he couldn't reach it.

That was a way to know how to make Melly laugh. "Awe...both of you are so...cute." It so needed like a picture moment. Camera, where was a camera???
