Snitchseeker.com has a chat that can easily be accessed through the main top menu, under "Site" option. There is the full version chat and the lite chat for faster loadings:

How do I join a channel?
type /join channel_name of the channel you want to join. Or click on the channel name provided under chat window.
-- There are 6 channels available for chat: SeekerChat, PotterChat, Special_Events, Chat_with_the_Minister, School_RPG_addicts, & MinistryGossip
-- There are 3 Games channels: Question_Tuesdays, Uno, & Duelling_Club
-- For Games Instructions please refer to posts 3, 4, &5 of this thread.

Can I use smileys in the chat?
Yes! they follow the same text input you use for the forums and can find them listed bellow your chat window.

Can I play sounds in the chat?
Yes! There are a few uploaded sound clips that you can play. It starts by ":s-" text, the preloaded sounds are also listed below your chat window.

Can I float the chat window while I browse SnitchSeeker?
Sure you can! To float the channel you want, click on the minimizing icon on the top right corner of the chat window your in and it'll float it for you. To return it simply close the floating window.
Ex:  Click on this icon on the top right of your window.
How do I change my font?
You can choose your font color and style using the controls next to the text input box. If you select your color & style this way it will remain until you change it again. PLEASE NOTE: that you will not be able to play games with formatted font because the bots will not recognize the commands if they use color.
-- If you like using colors, you have to select your color every time you join a channel.

Manual font controls
For colors:
1) Hold down the control key & type K
2) Enter a number from 1-16 (each number corresponds to a different color - see below)
3) Type what you want to be in that color
Bold is Control with B
Italics are Control with I
Underline is Control with U
A quick way to get back to just plain black text is Control with O
For background colors
Control with K then, # for the color of text comma # for the color of background. So, for black text with a pink background you'd type Control with K 1,13 then whatever text you wanted formated that way.
Ex: Control K 1,13 "Have you seen the latest HP trailer? It is awesome!"
