| | |  Bill Nighy cast in Deathly Hallows
Actor Bill Nighy ( Love Actually, Pirates of the Caribbean) has confirmed that he will play a good guy in the Deathly Hallows films, although he will not reveal the name of his character. Bill had this to say: Quote:
"I don't think I'm allowed to say it but I'm going to be in the next Harry Potter film," he tells us. "I won't say which character, but he's a goodie. I just got the gig."
He has admitted that he has not read the books yet, though: Quote:
"Not yet, but I will!" he says. "It's rather like being in a Shakespeare that way, you know?"
David Yates said two years ago that he first wanted Bill for the role of Minister of Magic Rufus Scrimgeour in Half-Blood Prince, but the part was cut from the final draft of the script. However, there is no proof at the moment that Bill may have been cast as the Minister. We will have more on this as the story develops.

I loved BN!! He was indeed Davy Jones- bad bad guy!!! Was scary as all get out as the slimy octopus creature!! I remember the first time I saw his character (POC Dead Man's Chest) I had to keep looking away from the screen! LOL Hmmm I think it could be Scrimgeour- does he look like a lion? ;-) | |

Not at all; he's said over the years that he'd love to be in the movies, and Yates even had him lined up for Scrimgeour at first, but nothing was confirmed until today. | |

AWESOME!! Yates said he was going to cast him, so I'm not surprised! I wonder if she's playing Scrimgeour like what was originally planned!!! SO AWESOME!! He was so good in Pirates of the Caribbean and Love Actually! Can the HP movies cast anymore more brilliant actors? Seriously! We've pretty much gotten all the greats at this point.
