The HP Lexicon has received information that may reveal the identity of a mysterious person mentioned in initials toward the end of the 6th book.
The information, which comes from a reliable source, can be read here.
However this is still just a RUMOUR until it is confirmed or denied by J.K.Rowling/Bloomsbury/Scholastic.

Well, we here at SnitchSeeker have figured that much out already, right? I mean, read the Spoiler: R.A.B forum. It pretty much is self explanitory. But it almost seems too...I'm not sure, too easy, but hey. It just might be it!

Already thought so. That would make sense, and I don't think he's dead, though... we only get that from another character who isn't always right, plus it did say he is dead before the Dark Lord reads the note, which creates a loophole.

the clues were all there in book 5 and book six i just hope and in the hbp forum the R.A.B discussion but i do have to agree it sees to easy i really do hope were right though i kinda have a gut feeling we are though!

That's quite interesting, although I always believed that R.A.B. is that same person.
If it's not true JK would probably comment on her site about it, but if it isn't, I don't think she'd mention anything. Things would become pretty obvious then wouldn't they?

Well, thats what a lot of people think, including me, but I think I'll wait till we get a confirmation to really believe it.
Somehow I don't understand why Bloomsbury or JK Rowling would put this information out so early.
