The HP Lexicon has received information that may reveal the identity of a mysterious person mentioned in initials toward the end of the 6th book.
The information, which comes from a reliable source, can be read here.
However this is still just a RUMOUR until it is confirmed or denied by J.K.Rowling/Bloomsbury/Scholastic.

It all sounds like it fits. I mean, who else do we know that goes by those initials? It does seem like the obvious choice, but I wouldn't go assuming things...I mean J.K. could have a surprise in for all of us. It may even be somebody we don't even know yet.

did anyone read the questions that were asked too! i think i know where the real horcruxes is! remember the locket that was found at Grimmauld Place? in the drawing room that nobody could open! it has to be the horcrux b/c if regulus took it then why not hide it at his house if his house is unplottable and has all those other charms on it!

I actually haven't read HBP yet though I'm sooooo close now, and so I have no dea what you're talking about- kind of- But it probably was Regulus Black cos' why else would JK have bothered to mention him in The Order Of The Phoenix?

the only thing I don't really understand, is where they got his middle name from. We know that it is not mentioned in the books, so the only other source is Jk herself, so I am definetely treating this as a big rumor. Although it looks clear, I still think that there is much more behind it that what meets the eye.

I think we all on Snitch Seeker already worked out that RAB was Regulus Black, but it was a bit too obvious, if ya know what I mean.
Who was the source?? And how did they find out What Regulus' middle name was?? Interesting.

the R and B of The R.A.B we all knew...so now the middle name is revealed too...we all knew he must have a middle name that wasnt revealed to us in the books..but whoever it is that has let this knowledge be known..well i keep on thinkin who it is ??
and I dont think Jk will admit to the real identity of R.A.B until in the 7th book..but surely never before it!

Dumbledore kinda said the same thing to Malfoy..in HBP...that is no-one goes to look for a dead person..if he's made to look like he's died.
But anyways ..i dont think that sirius is alive ...he died in OoTP

I agree with you. I'm also sure that the real Horcrux is at Grimmauld (spelling) Place. But we already guessed it in R.A.B Spoiler Forum. So you can go there and read about this theorie.

.. Noone does go looking for a dead man, because if they are dead, then you won't find them walking around, spying, or recruting others to The Order Of The Pheonix....
My opinion is that Sirius isn't dead.. I have a theory about it, and if you'd like to hear it, just p.m. me..
