Hogwarts RPG Name: Daniel Sychev Jnr Fourth Year | native language?
English How many languages can you speak? (or read/understand).
Ive been self teaching Dutch for about two years, with help from some friends along the way, though id say my Dutch reading skills are far superior to my speaking, I would still say its a very basic understanding Is there a language you are DYING to learn?
Languages fascinate me and I would love to be multi linguistic but I find for someone who is English and has lived here all of their lives learning languages is so tricky, all of the media here is English, English people and by extension I suppose Brits can afford to be lazy as English is a language spoken everywhere Are your parents/relatives from a non-English speaking country?
English all over Are you currently learning a language?
As previously mentioned I am doing my best to self teach Dutch, have visited the country numerous times and love it there, I have a handful of Dutch friends and it was just something I really wanted to do. Unfortunately there are no professionally taught Dutch classes anywhere near me. Have you previously known a language, but forgotten over time?
I was taught German in school but I find languages are very poorly taught in English schools, public ones at least What languages could you greet someone in, but not necessarily understand the language?
Dutch and I could probably greet people in German

How many languages can you speak? (or read/understand). Just really one and that is English. I do however know a very little bit of French.
Is there a language you are DYING to learn? I would love to learn more French and i probably will.
Are your parents/relatives from a non-English speaking country? No, my mom speaks English.
Do you speak one language at home, and another outside of home? Yes, only English.
Are you currently learning a language? - No, I took 2 years of French in school in the 9th and 10th Grade and now I am in the 12th Grade and I hardly remember any of it.
Have you previously known a language, but forgotten over time? French, if you could even call it that I knew it.
What languages could you greet someone in, but not necessarily understand the language? I could greet someone in French.

I understand Jamaican Patois, but can't speak it. Spanish is limited to small conversations and reading. Is there a language you are DYING to learn?
Full-fluency of Spanish. Italian and Portugese would be my next options after. Maybe Japanese too. Are your parents/relatives from a non-English speaking country?
Yes, my parents came to Miami in the 1970s. While my mom's side is Jamaican, my Dad's side came from El Salvador. Do you speak one language at home, and another outside of home?
Some Spanish with my grandmother when I visit her. Are you currently learning a language? - Why? (fun, work, New Years Resolution?)
Casually learning Spanish with Duolingo and enabling Spanish audio + English subtitles when watching movies & playing video games with the option. Despite having Spanish ancestry, only my grandmother would speak full Spanish around me so would love to communicate with her and others even more. Have you previously known a language, but forgotten over time?
I did forget a portion of Spanish the last decade with the lack of practice and being away from family, but I regained a portion back after working retail. What languages could you greet someone in, but not necessarily understand the language?
Italian and Japanese.
