I'm Pat, one of the admins here on Snitchseeker, and I'm excited that you get to meet ME this month, and I get to meet you TOO. Especially since
this month makes it a WHOLE YEAR that I've been adminning. Don't worry, I already brought the cake and ice cream to celebrate. Specifically I'm admin for the
Diagon Alley RPG, which means that I oversee everything that goes on in that crazy street and all the shopkeepers that permanently inhabit it.
Compared to a lot of the wonderful mods and admins up here I'm still pretty young, both in my position and my time here on the site. I joined back in December of '09 when I was home for the holidays and extremely bored since that was the winter all of my friends decided to abandon me. So naturally I took to the internet looking for entertainment and found it in SS. It was a little early for sorting, so the
games forum was my first love on the site, but once I
did get sorted... well, lets just say I had planned on ditching the site when January came around, and that obviously didn't happen.
My tag says Ravenclaw, but originally I was sorted into
and still am at golden heart a Hufflepuff and had an absolute blast for seven terms playing a girl who practically radiated happiness and rapid badger pride. During that time, around April '10, I got asked to join the DA team as an assistant shopkeeper in the
Owl Post Office that hadn't yet launched with the revamped Diagon Alley. I was lucky enough to join the
Ministry of Magic RPG as it was also getting revamped a year later in March '11, as the
DERP department head just a month before my school character became prefect for her house, four months before I was promoted to head of the owl post office in DA.
Just last year in March I was made mod of Diagon Alley, and that brings us to a complete circle of me becoming adminned that following September. It all looks like a LOT when typed out and put together like that, but I promise it's not. Heh.
In real life I'm just crazy random Pat. A girl with an unhealthy obsession with animals, food, the outdoors, and naps to name a few things. I've taken a hiatus from school to figure out what it is I want to do with the rest of my life. Currently I'm busy working at a veterinary hospital on the east coast of the United States. I'm a vet assistant/kennel attendant, which means I'm the behind-the-scenes mostly worker caring for all of the animals and doing virtually everything else that's needed of me (which is too much to list here). If I manage to have free time I love to mess around with my dogs, family, and friends. Or you can find me doing something crazy fun like kayaking or hitting up a rock climbing wall.
I could go on about myself, but really I've done enough of that already, and probably took away some of your questions. So no more. Wanna know something? Ask me! I'll answer almost anything assuming it's not too personal and follows site rules.
