Hello! I hope you all had a lovely May. I’ll be your Meet the Mod for June.

I’m Natalie, but most of you call me Nat. I’m 21 years old and I live in England.

I joined SnitchSeeker in February 2011, so I’ve been a member for 8 years now! I’ve not been consistently active over the years, but I always find my way back here. The community on here are my second family. I even met my best friend, Lauren (laurange), through SS.

I became a moderator for Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes (Games) in February this year, and the Book Club just a few days ago! In December last year, I joined the Yearbook team as a graphics maker. I have been making graphics for almost as long as I’ve been a member, and it’s one of my favourite things to do! I’ve had many graphics shops over the years, but I’m most proud of my current one – natalie’s corner.

If I’m being honest, the only hobby I have outside of SS is reading. Did I mention our book club yet? Outside of hobbies and SnitchSeeker, I just finished studying Social Psychology at university. I’m not quite sure what sort of career I want to pursue… Perhaps something related to mental health.

Anyway, enough introduction. Bring on the questions!

I am! Wow. This question has caused me to have a number of identity crises over the years! When I was in my early teens, I strongly identified with Hufflepuff, but then... for about the last five years I have identified much more with Ravenclaw. I value knowledge and I love wit - I'm much wittier in RL if I'm honest. I think I'm a mix of Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff now, and I really don't know where I would be sorted. *SPIRALS*

It's a weird story, actually. It's technically a typo that I thought looked cool, so I kept it. What I meant to change my name to was natella, a play on Nutella, but I mistyped it. Another weird fact is that, in my head, I pronounce it 'nat-ee-ka' with a long 'e' sound, despite that not being how it's written. I know it should technically be pronounced 'nat-eh-ka' but I don't like it.

Yes, this happens from time to time. One example that comes to mind is To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han, though that could be because I watched the film before I read the books, so my perception of the characters was tooootally different to how they are in the books. The books were still enjoyable, though!

AHHHH this is such a tough question because I always love playing my characters in the moment that I'm playing them. Ugh. I would have to saaaaaay Néve, if I'm being completely honest. I have a soft spot for my grumpy girls (Clara and Rhea) and for Tessa because she's my first second gen character, but yeah, Néve.

Weirdly enough, I don't have strong feelings about nutella. I just wanted a username that was a play on my name. I considered NotALie or Forget-Me-Nat.

Honestly, I can't think of anything. It got me into reading more YA books, and when I set up my HP tumblr, I got into other fandoms a bit, but nothing specific comes to mind.

1. Ahh, this is such a tough question because I can never think of anybody. I suppose this is more of a 'get the chance to meet and talk to them' kind of thing, and less that they would make great dinner guests. Hmm... Angela Braniff. She's a YouTuber who shares the lives of her transracial family and talks a lot about adoption and I find her and her family so inspiring and beautiful. My grandfather, so I could have the chance to talk to him again and learn more about his past and my family. Alan Rickman because he seemed like he would be a wonderful person to meet. I would invite Freddie Mercury and my mother, so she could meet him - he's her idol. Plus, I would rather like to meet him, too. And, of course, Lauren (laurange), because I would never say no to opportunity to spend time with her.

2. Currently, I would say Bones because I'm obsessed and re-watching it for the second time. But, as flawed as it is, Friends is also great for binging. OH, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, of course!

3. Hmm. Sharknado? Is that how it's spelt? It was awful, but kinda amusing because it was terrible.

4. The ability to communicate in any and all languages! Definitelyyyy. Including speaking, reading, writing, and generally understanding the language.

5. Currently, they are Maisie Peters, Orla Gartland, Lewis Capaldi, Lauren Aquilina, and dodie.

Hi! Book lovers unite!

1. I don't know how authentic the takeaways I go to are, but I really enjoy Indian food and Chinese food.

2. THAT IS SUCH A HARD QUESTION. How could you ask me that?! Ok, I've narrowed it down to four but I can't narrow it down more. Please don't make me. Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi, An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid, and Daisy Jones and The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid are my current favourites.

3. These aren't exactly summer, as they were released in May, but I haven't read them yet and I am excited about them, sooo... Again, but Better by Christine Riccio, Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston (I've heard good things about this one so far!), and With the Fire on High by Elizabeth Acevedo (I read her other book, The Poet X, and really enjoyed that!).

1. Initially, I fell in love with the concept of creating really in-depth characters and them being part of what is essentially a collaborative HP story. I've always loved writing, but my favourite part of planning books was always planning the characters. I always struggled with plot, so RPing was the perfect outlet for me. Ultimately, however, it was the community that convinced me to stick around. Everyone was - and still is - so welcoming and friendly. It felt and feels like a sort of second family.

2. Well, of course I love Gladrags Wizardwear area, but I really like 4 Privet Drive, too. I love the discussions there!

1. I feel like this is two different questions tbh. Hmm. I think I learnt the most from Clara and Bliss, in different ways. I played Clara while I was going through a tough time and she helped challenge my feelings and learn to stand up for myself. Whereas with Bliss, it wasn't until years after playing her that I really learnt from her. Looking back at how she treated her friends and took them for granted - and when I was playing her at thirteen, I don't think I even realised - was very eye opening for me. As for the character I enjoyed playing the most onsiiiiite, I would have to say Clara. Just because was seemingly more complex than my other characters.

2. WOW. Big questions today. I have a bucket list somewhere... *finds it* It needs updating, but a couple of things that are on there are that I would like to learn a second language, and I want to visit India (my grandfather's family lives there) and Malaysia (to visit Lauren).

3. I suppose other than the basic things I need to live (food, water, shelter, etc.) and people, there isn't much that I absolutely COULDN'T live without. I'll say money, wifi, and my phone... That way I can continue to talk to my online friends, listen to music and read books. I'll miss my laptop and kindle tho.

1. WHAT SORT OF QUESTION IS THIS? Do people have favourite sounds? I can't think of ANYTHING. The laughter of children! That's quite precious.

2. There are sooooo many things. And it's less a 'make time for' things and more a 'put the effort in' because I would love to exercise more and learn a language, and I have the time, but not the effort.

3. I admire the mindset I have regarding empathy and self improvement. I always try and question things, especially regarding power and who benefits from what. I'm speaking up more and more when I know I should. And I admire the fact that I've come to realise that feeling uncomfortable isn't always bad, isn't always something to be avoided, particularly when it pushes me to be a better, more open-minded person and see things in ways I wouldn't have otherwise. I just want to keep improving myself and, yeah, I might make mistakes from time to time, or say the wrong time, but learning is a process and mistakes are often a part of that process. Ok I'm going to shut up nowww.

1. Do you have any idea how hard a question that is to answer?? It changes constantly. CURRENTLY, though, it's probably Speechless by Naomi Scott (from Aladdin) ooooor Inevitable by Orla Gartland or pretty much anything by Maisie Peters.

2. I think these answers are pretty generic buuuut probably my boyfriend's scent (how cringey), freshly mown grass, and citrus scents such as oranges.
