Hii guys! *WAVES* I'm Maxie [and known by a LOT of variants of that name] and I shall be one of your mods for the month of December. 
On SS, I'm a FanFiction moderator and head the Department of Mysteries in the Ministry of Magic. I used to be the Gryffindor female prefect, and then teach Runes, and am the current Charms Professor in the lovely School RPG. I looove to write, and have written for most of SS's publications. Right now, I [also] head the SotS journalist team.
Off SS, I'm a student that shall [one day soon, let's hope] be an engineer. I've dabbled in almost every subject under the sun, and LOVE algebra, calculus, high-energy physics, chemistry and gemology. I adooore bread, good books and music, FF featuring the ship Draco/ Ginny, manga and anime, nice gadgets, and my black locks. *points to username*

I'm a Biology major in college and one of my minors is Chemistry. I love it! I'm taking Physics next year, any tips?
Also, why do you want to be an engineer? How long have you wanted to?
And finally, I love finding people who love reading/writing but are "science-y" majors. I am a performer and grammar snob, but I also enjoy Chemistry. Is that so bad?! Haha. (: | |

1. It's like school, only a lot bigger and busier. =D People come from far more diverse backgrounds, deadlines become more important, and people are [generally] more serious about their futures [doesn't mean the fun becomes any different/ less intense, though]. The best advice I can give you is to take it easy. College is nothing out-of-the-ordinary, and usually, people are all nerves only for the first few days. I think it's a place that can REALLY make a difference in one's life, if taken seriously. There are so many chances to become a productive person and polish your potential. ^__^
2. Tough question, tough question! *runs away from it* I do love Jasmine, though, because I can completely relate to her. She's spirited, headstrong, smart, curious and a dreamer - all qualities I admire and [am told I] possess. Quote:

YUS. Physics can be really, really interesting, but I usually advice people not to take it if they're not good at maths/ with numbers since it involves a looot of them.
Because it's something I know I'd be good at. ^__^ Electronics/ handling appliances/ technical stuff has always come naturally to me and, more importantly, this is a field that's always interested me because there's so much room for experimentation, and SO much one can do and explore and improve and invent.
I've wanted to be an engineer for *counts* about five years, now. ^.^
No, it's not! Being able to enjoy variety is a GOOD thing and, personally, I think that people that love to read/ write/ perform but also enjoy 'science-y' stuff can be a pleasure to know. <33

i'm David, and I also like FF about Draco/Ginny shipment. I like to read and write, but math and I have not quite been the best of friends. Needless to say, I'm good at math, but it's tedious and time-consuming.

I can speak English, Urdu and Punjabi. There are a LOT of languages I want to learn, including Arabic, French, Spanish, German and Kashmiri. I'm currently learning Esperanto on my own, and my brother is helping me get the hang of German [he's fluent in it ^__^] so yay!
YUS. I love to travel, but college restricts that these days. But I do hope to travel a looot in the future/ as soon as I'm rid of college.
Prettiest actor? TOUGHIE. I can tell you I've never thought of Leonardo DiCaprio as pretty. =p I do love Imran Abbas, though. ^__^
