Hello and nice to meet you! My name is Lissydove, a.k.a Lissy. My real name is Lisa. I will be your Mod of the month for October.

Currently I am an Admin here on SnitchSeeker working in the role of Member Support. What does that mean? I'm here to help out fellow staff and most importantly - members like you! I've Modded in many different places during my 4+ years on the site and you can still catch me posting News.

At home I am a mom of two little girls and I work as a Registered Nurse in a hospital. I also have degree in Archaeology.

My Harry Potter history started a little late. I had heard about these books everyone was talking about but they didn't sound like my kind of thing. I finally gave in and bought the first 4 published books at that time and had to admit I was hooked!

I don't want to say much more about myself because here is where you all come in. If you want to know more, you need to ask. All posts must ask a question. Feel free to ask what is on your mind about me, my role, or the site, but know I may pass on questions that are too personal.

Now my nephew is going to be 8 in December, and was dying to see HBP, so he went and saw it (didn't have any problems). Now he's reading the series...and has the same comment my son did, "why isn't there more stuff in the movies like in the books?" I think every reader says the same thing!

Hmm, have you ever had a dream that is SS related? Like two nights ago, I had a dream that we could put our own tags in, and I put in. Mrs. Josh Jeffers,( Since I am married now) and then.. I put in.. (for no good reason, since it was a dream) Super Mega Foxy Awesome Hot! And it wouldn't fit.. so the tag scrolled!!! I was so excited, and people kept on asking me how I did it!...

And Then I woke up.. It was odd.. but fun Have any dreams like that?

And my birthday is totally in September too! If I remember right, yours was not long after mine!

Hmmmm three items I think would represent today, huh? Good one and tough. 1) a computer 2) a cell phone 3) a credit card. Maybe those aren't very deep or meaningful items or very flattering to our culture really. But take a cross section of anyone you see on the street and I bet almost everyone has at least one of those items on their person. At all times.

I keep meaning to try Diana Gabaldon but her books are sooooooooooo big if I'm gonna read something that big it's gotta be Gone with the Wind, which I'm reading right now, 100 years of Solitude or War and Peace which are patiently waiting in the wings

I liked your answer on the cheesecake and if I were your neighbor you could come over everyday ... you can watch the kids while I make a candy run I'm so bad.

I was thinking about place that's like that but ... they don't exist Lissy you'd have to live in the tropics and it's always hot there but the cute boys I mean the beach make it bearable.

As for questions:

Are you going to go see "Where the Wild Things Are?" I wanna go so bad ... it sounds so cute and I love Maurice's book so much!

What's your favorite cheese? Mine's Fontina btw, I love it.

Rubies are beautiful. I love the color red, so I probably would have listed that as my second favorite. My little girl is an April girl too. Her birthstone is the diamond.

I like the Olive Garden. I enjoy dipping the bread sticks in alfredo sauce. BUT if we get right down to it, I'm a little Italian food snobby. The BEST Italian food comes from the family owned restaurants. There actually aren't great ones where I live now, but downstate and the closer you get to NY city - nothing can compare to the Italian food there. That goes for pizza too. I guess it also comes from being full blood Italian. My Dad is from Brooklyn and my Grandma made her own sauce once upon a time from tomatoes in her own garden. *Italian food snob* hehehe

Keep posting! You are doing great! As for books - the once with the most Sirius and the most Snape. OoTP and HBP I think I favor most. PoA too.

I'm a pretty stick to the books kind of gal in terms of shipping. Hermione/Ron and Harry/Ginny. BUT I have a lot of fun reading other ships I get all my shipping needs filled in Ottery fics.hehe

Yessssss me too. Most of the time.

I know. But I am trying with my kids to make sure they have interest.

Uhhmmm. I like all kinds of music. To be perfectly honest a particular band doesn't jump out exactly, but I love classic rock and 80s pop the absolute most. Also I cannot/will not turn the channel on the radio if there is a Beatles song on. Blasphemy. The Beatles don't get turned off in my car. Oh and I do have an absolute favorite album. Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. Pink Floyd does not get turned off in my car ever either.

DG wites very big books, They are so worth it though when you get the chance.

I would most definitely come visit and watch kiddos if you are making the sweets. YUM!!!

So, do you travel a lot? I live in Sweden, but I lived 1½ year in the US (moved back to Sweden last X-mas), but I travel a lot to other countries. I think I've been to 16 countries not counting Sweden, and to 4 continents. So I love traveling!

my question is, if you could be in any harry potter book/movie (only one! xD) which one would you choose?
i would pick the book version of DH because it's the pinnacle of the whole series. the whole climax just happens in that one book, so i think it would be the best book to be a part of

At present I do not travel much. I wish I could! You look have an awesome background! 16 countries is impressive. I do love to travel and I did go many places when I was your age (probably). I've been to 10. Not including my own - USA. hehe

Keep up the great posting and I hope you come back with a question. I only went to one midnight book selling. I bought the first 4 at Border Books and I got the others in the mail via Amazon.com. I didn't have anyone to go with to the parties, so I bet it must be fun with a group. Is that how you went?

And yep, I was hoping to be a 'Claw. I would have been happy with Gryffindor as well, but if I recall correctly my answers for the sorting hat were most definitely geared to be a 'Claw.

I would have to agree with you on your choice. And for the same reasons.

HOWEVER if I had another choice and I actually had a chance to make a change in the plot. I would go back to OoTP and save Sirius.

Hey Scarlet!

I love that nickname. You might see some of my other friends use it from time to time too. I think Mr Ottery started it. I love you all and think you are way too sweet to me.

I love stones and minerals for just the reason you said - sparkly and pretty colors. I can't confess to knowing too much about Geology though. hehe

Outside of the precious gem stones like sapphire, ruby and diamond. I also love quartz (rose quartz), amethyst, tiger eye, goldstone, hematite, amber... There are so many. I'm the one who loves to play with the assorted polished stones you can buy at some stores.
