Hello and nice to meet you! My name is Lissydove, a.k.a Lissy. My real name is Lisa. :flowers: I will be your Mod of the month for October.

Currently I am an Admin here on SnitchSeeker working in the role of Member Support. What does that mean? I'm here to help out fellow staff and most importantly - members like you! I've Modded in many different places during my 4+ years on the site and you can still catch me posting News.

At home I am a mom of two little girls and I work as a Registered Nurse in a hospital. I also have degree in Archaeology.

My Harry Potter history started a little late. I had heard about these books everyone was talking about but they didn't sound like my kind of thing. I finally gave in and bought the first 4 published books at that time and had to admit I was hooked!

I don't want to say much more about myself because here is where you all come in. If you want to know more, you need to ask. ;) All posts must ask a question. Feel free to ask what is on your mind about me, my role, or the site, but know I may pass on questions that are too personal.

There are so many things to like about the HP books, but something I really enjoyed was how J.K. Rowling weaved her back stories. Everything had meaning. Example: Hagrid brought baby Harry to the Dursley's on a flying motorcycle. Neat right? But wasn't it even better when we learned some books later that it belonged to Sirius? In the first book, Harry speaks to the snake at the zoo. Wasn't it cool to look back on that and say, "oh yeah!" when you read CoS? There are way too many more examples to name, but I love how well J.K. Rowling did that.

Not at all! They are 6 years old (7 in December) and 2 1/2 years old. ^_^

Can I take have the girls be shipped over here for a week? Maybe more? =D

I kinda guessed history, cuz you said you had a degree in Archaeology!! That's what I love about Jo's writing too! Shed odesn't leave holes in between!! So what's your fave potion and why? Mine is Polyjuice potion! And what's your fave book?

Hey Tina! :) I knew someone would ask that question and I have a hard time answering. I'd have to answer all the books that gave more insight into Sirius Black or Severus Snape. :lol: But that's actually quite true. I really liked PoA for that. Then OoTP... HBP... Hmmmmm. Ugh.


Thank you and good question! Another hard one too. I would have loved to learn more about the Marauders, but of course that would not have fit due to the 7 books being from Harry's point of view. Would be sooooooo nice if J.K. Rowling would write books on them. :whistle:

As for changes to the published books. Hm. Maybe I would have liked not having so much info crammed into the epilogue of DH. Of course that is because I would have liked more detail. A series of short stories that also include more of the information about the characters after DH (the things she spoke of in interviews)? I dare not wish for a book. :D But I hope you get the idea.

Good question! I suppose that if I could be anyone for a day I would choose Hermione because I'd want to be right in the middle of everything. ^_^ Though it might be a little weird and fun to be Bellatrix for a day. :evil: OH! Or Tonks. That would be cool.

Yes! I do like the Giants! I admit to being primarily a baseball fan, but now that football is in full swing as well I root Giants. Go Big Blue!

You see that is a difficult question to ponder. The cuteness factor in each of those individuals is so great that the mere consideration of comparing them could be enough to cause cataclysmic results. Rivers would flood over, volcanoes erupt, earthquakes... Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria! All over the question of who is cuter.
