Hello hello hello! My name is Lissy and I am your Meet the Mod for the month of April!
Lissy is short for Melissa and I am 30 years old, living in the great city of Chicago, IL, USA. I’ve been on SS for over half my life and been a school staff member, a Ministry Department Head, and moderator for various forums. I recently came out of retirement to mod the Potterdom section and one of my personal favorites, the Book Club!
Off site - I’m a vet tech! I’m currently working and going to online school to get my certification. This is actually career #2 for me as I originally was a history teacher. I love Disney, my fur babies (Shenzi the hound mix and Winston the cat) and in my spare time I like to get a workout or two in. I also love to craft and play video games!

Oh mannn there's been so many  BUT I think my absolute FAVORITE of all time to play was probably Trinetta. The reason I loved her the best is because I fleshed out her backstory real well, and also felt challenged because I have never ever EVER played a Ravenclaw before. Her relationships and storylines felt far more advanced than anyone I'd played until then, and I really hope she wakes up a bit more and keeps staying loud in my head now that she is at uni!
2. It's by far the PEOPLE on here. I love connecting with my older friends and also getting to know new people! I also love that this community is so close and I get to know people who have been around for YEARS and never really played with, and then I end up really getting to know them and becoming close with them! There's always something going on on site as well, so it keeps me interested. It just...feels like part of me at this point??

<3 1. I DOOOO miss the fan clubs! That was what really got me hooked on SS and meet new people!
2. Probably not any at the moment because my dog really did NOT like the cat and it took a lot of training to get them acclimated. I am not looking forward to having to do that again any time soon BUT in the future for sure!

That must be so exciting working as a vet tech! I love animals and would love to get to work with them all day (though I'm not sure how I'd do with them being hurt). I'm excited to join the server and get to know all the exciting things that are offered!

and I definitely think I would be a Hufflepuff. I am a very loyal person and tend to want to do things for other people even if I don't necessarily get anything in return! I am usually split about 60% of the time getting Hufflepuff and 40% getting Gryffindor though, so I often consider myself a Gryffinpuff!
Except when I'm at work, then I'm a Slytherin. Don't get in my way  hehe
